Lovely and clean, friendly staff welcoming, helpful ,beach front location,bar staff really friendly .good food .

The hotel is not a 4 or 5 star, I would say a 3 star. The place in general is looking a bit tired and in need of modernisation especially in the rooms and sunbeds around pool and beach. Everything is kept clean and the food is good, really is something for everyone and if the buffet does not suit you, there is always freshly carved joints of meat and a pizza corner where the chap will make any pizza you want from fresh.

Awesome Time spent there! I wish my Vacation there were longer.

I’ve been in this hotel in May 2022. Everyone was so nice there, in rooms was always clean, kitchen was great, traditional and continental - the best gyros i have ever eat, which have been made by Mel. He makes the best gyros in Kos, and also was always so pleasant and kind. Mel - we’ll be back, I hope to see you again! Greetings, Mirek

Sovereign Beach Hotel is OK. It’s not a 4 star in my opinion but a good 3 star. Pool lovely and big with sunbed and towel wars every morning without fail. Bedrooms ok.They ask you to put your toilet paper in the bins and not down the toilet. Gross. One sporadic English TV channel. Our shower was good. My daughters’ was rubbish plus the bath felt like it would collapse. All the staff work very very hard especially Peter and Katerina and the waiters/waitresses. Beach is 2 min walk away. Two small tavernas near to pool and beach supplying welcoming drinks and snacks. Food is plentiful but we didn’t find much we liked save for the freshly made pizzas and croissants in the mornings. Not keen on the free for all style in the canteen. We knew it had a childrens entertainment and kids pool but the hotel literally had nothing for adults in the evening so we spent a lot of evenings eating in Kardemena (3 min taxi ride awayas the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Kardemena is lovely - nice harbour and shops with plenty of restaurants and bars. We loved getting away from the hotel. Paradise Beach is also a lovely day out with water sports. I wouldn’t come back to this hotel but for ten days it was fine.

We arrived at the hotel at 11.40pm we checked in then the first thing receptionist asked us for was tourist tax which for seven nights was £28 euros and for some strange reason they insisted on keeping our passports overnight with no explanation i had to go and ask for them back the next morning when we asked about food and drink and were told restaurant and bar closed we were offered water not what we expected after a long flight then coach trip to hotel so in order to get a meal and drink we ended up getting a taxi into kardamenia at midnight to get something to eat and drink at a cost of £7euros each way all in all not a great start to a much looked forwarded to holiday the reception staff not overly helpful either!! The room itself was ok nice sea views bed comfy enough nice shower but hot water hit and miss one morning no water atall when i went down to reception to ask about a bottle of water to make a drink with i was told mini market opened at 8.30am it was only 7.20am when i went down to reception after i complained that wasnt good enough i was told go to the restaurant and they would give me bottle of water which they did the water came back on about 8.15am. The food itself was passable but in my opinion a lot of the food was under seasoned the only hot drink choices were coffee and a variety of different teas which were nice. The evening entertainment was poor out of a seven night stay only one brought in entertainment which was a magician whose main trick seemed to be producing an endless supply of mini umbrellas out of his hat which was not great the other six nights the in house entertainment staff provided the evening entertainment the oldies pool party being the best night of the week i have to mention Katerina of the entertainment team whose enthusiasm when doing the aqua zumba and aqua gym was brilliant too watch she got everyone involved and several times during the week made the effort to come and talk to us she is a real star of the hotel and the restaurant staff were great too. The best food of the week was at the taverna bar the Gyros were delicious and run by one man who worked really hard serving everybody. On the whole most staff friendly there is a shuttle bus that runs to Kardamenia at 9.30am but it only seats 8 people and isnt big enough for size of the hotel and there is a potential for that to cause problems. I would say we had an average stay. The wifi itself only worked in certain parts of the hotel and then was hit and miss Kos is a beautiful island with friendly people lots to do and see. I would recommended the pirate boat trip from Kardamenia which costs £10 euros each it includes a cocktail on the boat and the trip lasts two hours and u get to see the beautiful coastline and witness an amazing sunset which was the highlight of the week there are some.great pubs and restaurants in Kardamenia which is a lovely village

Great hotel, we were lucky enough to have a shared private pool outside our room, shared with 2 other apartments.There is very little evening entertainment for adults at the hotel. The hotel is 30 min walk to Kardamena which is the nearest town for any activity or nightlife.We hired some quad bikes for the day and took a tour of the island to see many of the highlights and thoroughly recommended. Zia is a definite visit must if you have a chance.

Overall a 5 star,great food,fun around and in the pool,beach 5 minutes away.Rooms updated with fridge.location 5 minutes from bus stop with taxis available from reception, only downside for me could not get an English channel on the TV.

Very, very friendly and helpful staff, including both hotel and entertainment staff. The hotel is also located in a nice, peaceful area and is only a short walk away from Kardamena town.

No good welcome. The man at the reception pointed approximately where our rooms were and no welcome. We were of course very tired as we arrived about 5 am. The first the we were met with were loads of birds that looked likes bats in the corridor on our way to the rooms. Birds nests inside and then a spider bigger than a tennisball above the door opening. Ok, this is nature and we know there are a lot of creatures we are not used to but that was our first encounter and also spiders in the bathtub. Rooms were so so. Not really clean. We went to complain and the same man at the reception only said: well what did you expect. He was really rude and did not offer any Kind of help or solution. We went to get a cold drink and a Coffee while planning what to do next. The glasses were not clean and we decided to leave. The man Just shrugged his shoulders at that. Never ever have we experienced such bad manners at a hotel. No refund and no help nor apologies. We are trying to get our money back (2000 euroand are concidering a solicitor if we are not met at least half way. We left without sleep, food and drink. The photos of this hotel are really misleading. If we hear of any people we know are going there we Will certainly tell them NOT to.

Nice staff, good food ( on all inclusive staybut room dirty and with bad smell. It’s not abt lack of cleaning but it is old. Furniture and equipment are very tired.

This is a huge hotel, nicely organised with some bungalows around the swimmingpool and its own beach with hamocks. It is a convenient 15 min distance from the town, with nice shops, restaurants and the harbour. The staff is extremely professional, nice and friendly. I strongly recommend a visit yo the spa, ran by a fantastic lady, with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and hammam at completely affordable prices and packages. Reception is open 24h and always ready to fix any situation. Buffet has all the options you can imagine, it is family friendly and renting a car is a recommended option to visit the area. In less than 15 min you have a wonderful fortress worth you explore at sunset. There are options by the beach to try water sports. Handy, comfortable and very well organised.

Very beautiful and modern hotel. Its a big resort. Cuisine is really delicious - a lot of choice for meals. You can go to gym, whirpool, play beach voleyball, tenis. Resort has a two snack bars, own beach land and big atrium (karaoke night etc). Only minus is fact that Kardamena city is about 30 minutes near, but you can choose a free mini bus from hotel or go on clasically bus station which is near to the hotel.

We had the most amazing holiday at the Sovereign Beach Hotel, the hotel itself is beautiful, so clean, food was excellent and the staff were lovely, so helpful and kind. We will definitely be back soon! 5 stars well deserved 🎉

We stayed down the road at Akti Beach Club, it was disgusting and so the first night we walked down the road and came across the outside of Sovereign,(admittedly there is a security risk as to how we managed to walk in with no issues and walk up to reception round the back from the beach all the way through the hotel, but here we are)Although no rooms were available we were informed by Dora, an extremely helpful member of staff to return tomorrow and if we wish to move we could, and so we did.We moved into a bungalow with swim up room (worth the investment due to how large and nice the room is along with the pool at your feet at the back doors with premium sun loungers. This was £480 for 6 nights per person and there was the two of us - due to Tui’s lack of help, we decided to press on and pay this at lunchtime and check in at 3pm the same day. Our room was ready and after a mix up with the booking system, we were in and our holiday had truly started.Most of the staff are fantastic, friendly and have a desire to serve guests.Cocktails were fantastic, certainly generous servings and the beer was a tasty drop, premium!Food was good, the pasta station was the best, freshly cooked on the spot and the staff member was great. The rest of it is pretty much standard all inclusive food.The spa is lovely, saved us during a rainy day however this comes at an added charge.I’d recommend a few trips into the local town, plenty to offer and a lovely harbour.My only criticism of the place is that the entertainment staff do not take no for an answer, and quite frankly we’re annoying, but they do the best they can with the activities to hand.Also lack of water stations, I would have to ask the bar staff to fill the water bottle so recommend having a self service water station because there are signs saying guests cannot fill up their own bottles with water due to spillages. A Receptionist told me to wait and buy a bottle of water when the shops opened, which I thought wasn’t very helpful.The games room was dated and could do with a refresh, all it needs is a new pool table and a redesign of layout.Other than this, Sovereign provided me with a fulfilling holiday that we needed, something which wasn’t possible at our previous hotel. I would consider coming back in the future maybe with the kids but ensuring we make use of the excursions on offer.

Very relaxing place with its own beach and pool with plenty of sun beds, wide selection of food and drinks. Looking forward to going again.

We arrive late in the evening and the receptionist asks if we are hungry. We answer affirmativly, they arrange something to eat for us. Upon entering the hotel (five starswe have the feeling of stepping into a somewhat old-fashioned hotel. This is mainly due to the bulky couches in the hall. They are, however, comfortable. Our room is also a bit old-fashioned. The rooms are spacious and fairly clean. The beds are wonderful! Hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, nice sunbeds and a private beach with good sunbeds and umbrellas. The food in the restaurant is diverse, hot and tasty. Every afternoon and evening there are several different dishes than the day before. Beachbar and poolbar have plenty of food and drinks available. Our holiday was especially successful due to the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. Mel (works the beachbar and hotelbarespecially is a great assit to the hotelstaff. Mr nice guy 😁. All in all we had a lovely holiday. Recommended!!!

Myself and my friend Abi arrived at the hotel on the 26th April the first day the hotel opened. We were welcomed on arrival with a welcome drink, staff were very friendly, helpful and our room/view was amazing! Food and drinks lovely. We made particular good friends with a member of staff named John! He was great in every way and made our stay ever so enjoyable. We look forward to visiting again in September. Definitely recommend if you want all inclusive!

THE BEST ALL-INCLUSIVE HOTEL WEVE EVER STAYED IN! We loved everything, starting from the moment we arrived to Kos until we left. We didnt want to leave! They provide an airport shuttle (around 15 minutes to the hotel), surprised us with a free upgrade to the sea view room for our honeymoon, some fruits and wine in the room. We really loved our stay, the beautiful resort, the unbeatable food, the staff and Kos Island itself. Thank you very much, well surely come back someday.

From the very start we were made to feel welcome by Eirini on reception....lovely lady ! Our room was scrupulously clean and far exceeded my expectations having seen pictures on the website. Perfectly looked after by Tania, Armena and Karen in the di ing room. The food is superb. The hotel staff were very friendly. Would most definitely consider returning. Famous walking in the area... a perfect fortnight, thank you all

Fab place with amazing staff, only neg is animation team who are super into their selves and insist on playing astonishingly loud horid music around the pool.Those that cant deal with the noise go to relax on the beach, here is tranquil.Animation team have not put me off coming back as the normal hotel staff are amazing.Food location and accommodation is best. Enjoy

Staff fab, rooms great, but place needs a little TLC overall, I have never stayed in a 4star where you extra pay for a safe or WiFi, the food was lovely with plenty of choice 😀

Hotel is nice, in 2021 it was not very crowded. Food was very good , everybody had choice what to eat. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Gyros in taverna close to hotel beach was delicious . Best regards to taverna bartender.

In general we enjoyed our stay. The food was excellent with plenty of choice everyday and the sea was crystal clear! Also the hotel location was convenient. What we didnt like was the beach - not enough sunbeds and umbrellas + most of them aged and damaged. First few steps into water were rocky but afterwards there is sand and in general the sea was beautiful. No water-shoes needed, but not very suitable for small children. The room service was very poor unfortunately. The rooms very far away from what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. I would personally spare some budget on too many animators or restaurant staff and invest into better beach equipment or hire 1-2 more cleaning ladies.

Very nice and quiet. Hotel is quite old but still nice to spend some time here.

Mostly ok. Poolside can be very noisy of you want to relax. Food is good but a little bit repetitive. Restaurant staff are lovely though. Reception staff mostly good. Beach is so so as it has lost its sand sadly. Location is a little bit remote and too far to walk to town especially at night. Biggest issue for travellers is having to pay €35 per week for WiFi which is extortionate when everywhere else is free. We used our own data for the trip but were capped at 19Gb per month so watching Brit telly was tricky. Nice place though but there are much better around in the area.

What a lovely place to stay .rooms were great and very clean. food was one of the best for all inclusives ive had lovely choices . Staff work hard and thumbs up for the two lovely girls on the animation team .would come back to stay again .

Stayed at this hotel for two weeks beginning of September, hotel was fantastic. Reception staff were polite and very helpful, Karen at the pool bar was professional, bar staff and manager were also excellent and were easy to get on with. Animation team were brilliant they got every one up and No I ing inThe restaurant staff and manager were also excellent and dont forget the Yorkshire puddings lol would recommend staying at this hotel.Sean and Suzanne

Paid for a sea view but was put at the side where I could barely see the sea .... Just a field with a donkey however its was quiter. The food does not look appetising but tasted good. The entertainment was good with lots of activities throughout the day and shows at night. Mini disco also for kids.Free bus to kardamina at 8:30 pm and free bus home at 11pm

This place is far away from what one could expect from a 5-star hotel. Food is mediocre, beach is awful (thankfully there is a very nice one just 100 meters away, you have to pay extra though). The animation team tries too hard and quickly becomes annoying. The rooms deserve a serious overhaul. In our bathroom there was just one dim light bulb. Trying to shave was a nightmare. Oh, and they ask you to put the used toilet paper in a dustbin rather than dropping it into toilet. Gross.

Beach was totally horrible! Way better beach 100 meters down the beach but had to pay there for sun beds. Resort and hotel are nice however no WiFi included and they charge for safe usage! Staff was friendly and professional, food was good.

Such a lovely place had a great weeks holiday there the staff cant do enough for you lovely view and amazing beach. The food is lovely always a lot of choice .

Karen and his son are a credit to this hotel. They have hospitality running through their veins.The gyros bloke and the 2 lads working the bar were world class too.

Excellent stay here at the sovereign Hotel. Extremely clean and the service in all areas was 5 star. Food was fantastic! So much to choose from and the Restaurant was run very very well. All of the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them if you asked for a little special request. Drinks at the bar were available from 10am till 11pm, fabulous drinks and cocktails prepared very professionally by Naeem and Imran always having a smile and keeping the tables clear. Pool was lovely and the beach so relaxing. The beach bar managed very well food and beer so good! The place kept amazingly clean and great guy running it. Lots of fab entertainment.. good fun to finish off the evening with. All in all a brilliant holiday xx Thank you to everyone!

Nice place, very good and helpful hotel stuff. Rooms are clean and nice. Cleaning service every day. Food is good but offer is a little bit poor. Entertainment team very nice, just one minus, evening show is not so good and not every day. Guys in bar at the lobby or at the pool very nice.

We are at the sovereign beach hotel at the moment on the last few days of our holiday, it is a very nice, clean hotel, the staff are very helpful and pleasant, the meals are excellent with a wide variety of choices, this is definitely a hotel we would come back to 😎😎😎😎😎 we had such a great time last year we are going back this year, great staff excellent food and great friends, see you very soon, cant wait 😁😁😁😁😁😁

We enjoyed a very relaxing week here. Good variety of food at all mealtimes. It was the end of the season, and the entertainment in the evening was poorer than we expected. Overall a pleasant atmosphere prevailed.

Mixed review. As cannot fault the staff who were all lovely and all very helpful. The food was also excellent with a good range each day. (the pizza making man was amazing). We went to the hotel literally in the last week of the season so can be expected that it was on a wind down. That said there was not many activities during the day and evening entertainment was very limited. The alcoholic drinks were fine, however the soft juices on tap were terrible. Upon arrival late (approx 11pmwe had some food put on for us but this was literally some ham and cheese rolls that had been left on a table we guess for more than a few hours. Not sufficient for dinner. The games room was probably the biggest issue for me. Not so much what was there but it was next to what appeared to be a old bar area, this has basically been abbanded and had water all over from a hose from somewhere. This was not OK for the children playing in the room especially where a lot of the games (ping pong, poolhad balls that easily could have gone into the area.Overall I would recommend the sovereign but I dont think the price we paid reflected the finish we were expecting and a bit of a revamp in certain areas would be sufficient for this.

We arrived late at half past midnight to be told they had no room for us and we had to be transferred to another hotel. So tired, hungry and thirsty, I managed to blag a bottle of water but not even a sandwich offered. Not good for all inclusive.

This hotel is advertised as 4/5*. No way!Weve just returned after a week at this hotel.The hotel had overbooked so our rooms werent available when we arrived. We had to share the first night with others members of our party. Not ideal.The hotel reception staff werent helpful. The under manager was very rude.The food is average, no sanitiser on entrance to restaurant.The rooms we were given were in need of a full refurb. Black mould on silicone round bath, rusty hinges on bathroom door. We had ants in our room. The towels had seen better days.Would I recommend this hotel? No way!

Very nice hotel. Overall probably a 3.5 star BUT, for the price, youll not find much better.Food really decent, but buffet, not al a carte.Rooms very nice and clean.Staff very good.No problems with finding a sun bed despite others comments. The beds at the front of the beach do tend to get "reserved" but there are others available.The beach area is nice. Good swimming and snorkeling (plenty of fish, but they are a little on the plain side though)..Pool is of a very good size and very clean.Entertainment is really good. Not sure why others have said its geared toward Italians though.The main bar only opens in the evening though. So if you want a drink in the day, you need to go to the pool bar, or the taverna. Not usually an issue, but it maybe on the last day if youre waiting in reception for your pickup.Room extension may be available on your last day at €5 per hour (seems a little expensive). Well find out tomorrow if our room is available to extend or not!For the cost, wed definitely recommend this hotel, and we would consider going here again.

Good hotel, just would be great if there was drinks service at meal times and more themes to food. As can get repetitive.Also only one pool so if you want any quite you need to head to the beach. Careful of the slippery stones!Overall a good hotel for what it is.

Pros: Good location, close to the beach and Kardamaina (walking distance - they have a free bus too). Rooms in the main building are well maintained (unlike bungalos).Cons: Food selection is for meat eaters. No virgin olive oil. Lack of tomatos.Was totally overbooked the season 2017. They let us know this once we arrive, even though contacted them two times before. Paid for late checkout but they started the refurbishment in the room above (no-one told us before), drilling the walls and turning off the water.There was a strong sewage smell on the beach several days in a row in the afternoon, which could be felt in the rooms too, not sure where it was coming from though.Advice to the management and staff: be honest with your clients. Stop chasing for money only.

We were there with TUI Poland. Most of visitors are more then 40 and their kids. You can meet there Russians, Italians, French, Germans, Polish people and a lot of more. There is a lot of space to find your own place to relax - hotel has his own beach, nice pool gym and SPA (SPA is extra paid). Rooms are clean. Great place to relax with delicious food but not so good drinks and coctails. Either way it worth to visit.

The sovereign hotel is nice but there are a lot of unexpected charges, the all inclusive works on times of the day and a frequent smell of sewage is in the air. Not a bad short break but make sure you read the small print.
