Soutine in Colombia

Came for dinner with my girlfriend tonight, food and service were amazing, but as soon as we finished the main course I was asked by the lady that seated us if we were leaving soon as the table was needed for another booking. I said we had wanted to get desserts as the menu looked really good. The lady went and spoke to a table of 6, after which I asked why we were the only table she had asked to leave as everyone had sat down before us. She said its policy for tables of 2 to only have 1hr 30, but there were two other tables of 2 she hadnt spoken to and they were happily eating still, even though seated before us. We were the only non Caucasian people in the restaurant and I feel that contributed to her decision to speed us out, apart from that we were no different to any other table of 2. Will not return again.

Like being back in Vienna or Paris. Delightful atmosphere but the food offering for the price now being charged is, in my opinion, not up to par. Clearly Im wrong as it was packed for Sunday lunch!

My bloody Mary was an afterthought Ive never had french onion soup that was microwaved I had to send my salad back because Ive never seen on endive in such a sad state on the plus side the eggs were perfectly poached

£20 for 2 poached eggs - they werent that great either.The food was ok - but no better than what you would get anywhere - the most uncomfortable part was the bickering staff who were fighting among each other.

I was craving for French cuisine and this restaurant was absolutely amazing. The service and attentiveness was on point. We kept thinking that some French music in the background would have also lifted the ambience.. but as it is, the decor and vibe is still classic, traditional and French.

Very good brasserie food in a pleasant atmosphere most of the waiters spoke with a fairly heavy French accent (neither a positive nor a negative for me). Lentils were a little undercooked for my taste but my daughters salmon was divine.Returned last night food still good service a little over intrusive and they didnt listen. Ordered a bottle of wine and a glass was delivered instead. Onion soup had no gruyere very strange and croutons were soggy when soup delivered.

Very good and friendly service. Good choice of food and highquality. Only drawback: cannot reserve specific tables beforehand.

This is our go to restaurant when we have family over from abroad and we want to impress them. Every dish is always delicious and well cooked. The wine is matched perfectly and the fantastic staff are always on hand to advise. I wish I could give ten stars as it’s so perfect! Amazing food, wine and service. I must add that I can eat the crème brûlée all day if I could it’s so yummy.

This is a nice place at the heart of St. John’s Wood👌🏻the food is incredibly tasty although the presentation lacks attention and imagination🤨 Little on the pricey side with 15% service fee, but at least you get good service💁🏻‍♂️

Lovely restaurant. Up there for lunch during a break for rain at the cricket at Lords which went on longer than expected. Great decor, ambiance, staff and food. Only slight downside in these enlightened times was the lack of a zero alcohol beer or lager. Otherwise though a great afternoon!

Fantastic food, great service, I had lemon sole in butter sauce, brilliant, looked after us and disabled parents. Will come again.

Lovely interior, serving staff look the part, as youd expect from the prices. The food was merely adequate for the cost however, and our server made numerous errors with our order. Wont go back in a hurry.

Some of the worst food we’ve ever had in a restaurant. Both our mains were clearly frozen and had no flavour whatsoever. I had the Rosti which was absolutely solid on the outside, and hard to chew. The only saving grace was a lovely waiter.Shocked this is a part of the Wolseley Group and we certainly wouldn’t go back.

Great service, nice little Parisian style restaurant. Snails were slightly over cooked, would stick to LPM for them (can’t beat their snailsmains and desserts were perfect.

Excellent French restaurant. Simple menu but classically French. Quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Wine list is very good and service was also very friendly. Get there early if you want a table outside especially on cricket days.

Second time coming to Soutine and was shocked by the difference in service quality compared to our first visit. Our waitress was nowhere to be found for most of the meal despite the restaurant being fairly quiet and other members of the food service crew were also generally quite unpleasant and brash with us. Was a shame considering we had had a wonderful waiter on our first visit.

It was a wonderful evening dinner at Soutine. The restaurant and the food spoke of true French cuisine and all the dishes were exquisite.From the starters, the mushrooms over brioche were a clear favourite. Our mains were all perfectly cooked and tasted scrumptious, with portions enough to satisfy anyone. If you have room for dessert after your dinner, then I would definitely recommend the crème brûlée which was absolutely scrumptious.All the staff were polite and extremely helpful and nothing was too much effort for them. I would highly recommend a visit here if you are after good food and a lovely atmosphere.

Baffled by the good reviews for breakfast. We just ate here and it was super disappointing. Potato rosti tasted deep fried and flavourless, eggs royale was average. Very much overpriced for poor quality food. The service was also weird and we overheard all the tables surrounding us having issues too. Boo!

This lovely french restaurant absolutely knocked us out of the park with the crazy quality and service we received, we went as a party of 4 and ordered some french dumplings, the soufflé, and the stake. Let’s start with the stake, not kinky was it if a high quality and cooked perfectly, but it was also soft and tender, and didn’t require much effort to cut, this shows the quality of the meat. The soufflé was airy and rich, and the pastry was perfectly made. In addition to the amazing food, the service was spectacular, which only boosts my respects for this restaurant. Overall Soutine is definitely a restaurant worth your time and money, and I would definitely come here any day.

Lovely resteraunt , had a great lunch with a freind , lovely art deco inside , and great service , will definitely go again .

We came here for breakfast and everything was delicious! The salads, the Eggs Benedict abd the croque madame.The coffee was great too!

Very solid Parisian cafe, except the service is kind and the coffee is good (something the French can’t seemed to figure out). The menu is heavy on eggs, the interior feels just like Paris but there is also a full English on the menu for those so inclined.

Nice staff and good food as always. Was weird to be led to a table at the back of the restaurant when many open tables in front room. Tried not to take it personally! After 20 minutes of staring at a back wall with empty tables, I asked for us to move to an outside table instead, which they agreed to do with grace.

First visit...Wanted a semi-original French experience with my wife.Greeted warmly with a smile by the front of house, and then unfortunately it went downhill once the waitress showed us to our table.Elitist, poor attitude, and small-minded. Its a shame one negative member of staff can bring dark clouds over eggs Benedict and smashed avocado.

Lovely classic French restaurant, waiter recommended the macaroons for dessert, which I was a bit sceptical of , but they were absolutely incredible, probably the best Macaroon I’ve ever eaten. Merci

The best restaurant in and around St. john’s Wood without going into Mayfair. Id say it’s on par with or even better than the Ivy just down the road. Food is always amazing, they are great with kids, waiters exceptionally attentive and will bring you anything extra you need. For a special family meal I came here over the Ivy and everyone had a wonderful time- prices are high but that is expected for a restaurant like this and when you have fantastic food and service you don’t mind paying.

The interior decoration and the ambient atmosphere is just utterly relaxing and beautiful. Much effort has been put into the place and being a French restaurant or just a coffe/drink place, one expects nothing less .Well done but you need to ask the staff whats on the menu if you dont speak French. The staff are very accommodating though.

One of the best roti I have ever had! And the desserts such as cheesecake and banana split is lit too! Super nice food. Service is efficient and ambiance is nice. Only if the waiter could pull a bit more friendly attitude… but overall, it’s a nice dining experience!

Great French food and service! Had the onion soup and Coq au riesling. Both was very rich and flavourful.

They’ve done a great job with the former Carluccio’s. It looks and feels like an old Parisian bistro with tables outside and two handsome inside rooms that have a nice French feel.Starters were either a bit overpriced or a bit bland, so we moved straight to the mains. A very unctuous Coq au Reisling (actually it was more of a poussin but enough neverthelessand a well -cooked Salmon Fillet.The star of the show was the fantastic Coupe Lucian (pistachio, hazelnut and nougatine ice creams with whipped cream and butterscotch saucewhich is worth the trip alone.A pretty decent Tarte Fine aux Pommes couldn’t compete but was still deemed pretty good.Being a St John’s Wood restaurant it isn’t cheap but worth a visit for a treat if you can’t get over the channel.

Perfect ambiance, food is top quality! I would change nothing to the beef tartare (and I am an appreciator), the fries were well made and the butter top notch. Would come back to try other things on the menu!

The worst restaurant in London. I thought the receptionist was unwelcoming till I met the manager who was a total disaster in customer relations. Unbelievably arrogant, unprofessional and down right rude. I’m crossing this restaurant off my list and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I went to the Soutine last Thursday 26th Aug. I must admit I was surprised by the attitude of one of the waiters. After receiving our starters I was given a side plate the side plate was filthy with food debris and have also noticed that non of the plates leaving the kitchen was polished. I would thought in such establishments polished plates would be standard. I wave to get some attention the manager (Daniel Craig who kept walking up and down the restaurant the doing nothing the whole time walked passed me and he did saw me waving. I explain to the waiter that came over to me that the plate was dirty he snatched the plate out my hand didn’t apologise didn’t even looked at me he just snatched the plate went to another area came back gave my replacement plate to the bartender because we were sitting by the bar. So tell me if this waiter didn’t had a problem with me why did he gave the plate to the bartender and not me? After this I was totally off my food. I had to take away my main course. The Italian bartender witness it all and apologise on his behalf. I spoke to the manager Daniel Craig after paying the bill because most managers think when someone complains they are looking for discount on the bill. But to be honest I don’t think he cared either. He offer for us to call him when we visit again because have being here about 6/7 times because the food is great. But I will never return back again.As a customer I felt violated. It’s like the waiter felt I shouldn’t have asked for a clean plate. With Covid 19 right now establishment needs to be very clean and should be practising high safe food hygiene.(Just to let you know I have the entire incident on videonormally I don’t write bad reviews I just don’t review if I’m not happy but I couldn’t not say something about this experience.

Came for a dinner and liked pretty much all the main dish but didnt like the dessert we ordered at all. Didnt try creme brulee or apple tart, those might be the desserts worth ordering. Would say maybe they are better with the food. Ambience is nice.

Review based on a visit in early March 2020A authentic piece of Paris in London.This wonderful new addition to St Johns Wood has been well received, taking a prime corner position at one end of the high street.The service is excellent, the bread tastes so good and the food is perfectly presented .The Onion soup starters, made in a traditional Parisian method was yummy and the prawn cocktail was generous in size. I had a large Veal Escalope Viennoise, which was cooked to perfection although I felt it needed a suitable sauce.My dining companion highly praised their Lemon Sole Veronique. Desserts were also enjoyed - enough said.The house white wine were splendid.Highly recommended and the cost was around £55 a head.We will be returning.

The restaurant is beautiful inside and they are dog friendly - always a bonus.We had croque Madame & pancakes. On the whole my croque was a bit rubbish - my fried egg was overdone and it was really dry. The blueberry pancakes on the other hand were pretty epic.We also had dessert. The millefeuille was just okay - but the creme brûlée and eclaire were really delicious.Service was a bit weird here - lots of people who never smile at you and would largely ignore you unless you flagged them down despite being fairly empty. That being said - the host was really friendly.I would go back but the quality/ taste is variable from item to item.On a Sunday there is free parking around the corner from the restaurant.

One of better restaurants around in a traditional setting. Very friendly and efficient service. Food is very well presented and prepared. Fish dishes are particularly fresh and delicious. A must visit.

One of the best restaurant in the area and it is near Regents Park, so its very nice to take a walk after eating.Firstly, the staff is so nice and always there to help yo decide your food.The meat and the fish vwere very tasty, but the most delicious thing was the prawn cocktail., it was the best prawn cocktail I have ever had! I think Ill come back just to order it again!

Great atmosphere and good food. As a brand new restaurant they are still working out teething problems on service. Looking forward to going back to our new local restaurant again to see how they are improving.
