SO DIRTY you would think you would have a cleaner come in in the am before lunch to clean, even outside the door was dirty everything about it was dirty, toilets DISGUSTING 🤮Where is the health inspector in Frankston ? I thought there were new hygiene regulations for COVID in cafes & restaurants as there are none in this place.

We asked for a refund for food.Firstly when you walk in, you feel the sticky floor. Which isnt a great sign. Otherwise the place looked nicely decked out.We grabbed a menu and decided to go all the way down the back to the couch area. When we tried to decide where to sit, it took a while because the tables all looked dirty. We initially thought the tables were designed that way, black with white flicks on them. But realised theyre all actually chipped which was weird. There was also flies flying around one of the couches.We sat down to have a look at the menus, and went up to order. No one came down to do any cleaning of the tables, so we used a wet wipe we had and did it ourselves.We waited around 35minutes for our food and drinks. It would have been nice to have drinks brought out whilst we waited for our food, but we didnt complain. The wait for food wasnt too bad, even though all we ordered was chips, macaroni bites, and chicken wings. Once they came out, we were pretty disappointed.Chips: Just a small basket of chips, and they were cold. So they were sitting there waiting we presume.Macaroni bites: These were the worst. They were so dark, and so hard. They were left in the fryer for way too long. The macaroni also had minimal flavour.Wings: These were just deep fried without any seasoning, and no marinade, just topped with sauce which smelt like stuff from a bottle. We have the same stuff at home Im pretty sure.This was just too much, and I had to ask for a refund. Which Ive never done before so it was pretty bad. Once I started telling the person behind the counter about our issues in a perfectly un-karen like manner, the person was quite defensive. There was no apology at all. She said about the chips Oh you should have told me. Thats not an acceptable response. I shouldnt have to tell you. You would know that they were getting cold. Apparently they were cooked up, but our order was last. We also asked for BBQ sauce instead but that was also forgotten. She also spoke about how they were understaffed, and that was understandable and I feel for them. But that doesnt mean we should have low quality food for the same prices. If it took time but tasted good, we would have been fine with that. I come from a long history of hospitality and customer service, so whenever I dine out Im always understanding and try to clean up to make their jobs easier, and always thank them.As she counted out money, I said dont worry about the drinks. And she muttered its fine. So overall attitude wasnt great. If she had taken it better and responded with an appologetic professional manner, like youre supposed to, I would have said Dont worry about it, its not all your fault, and it happens. Maybe she had a bad day. But its still your job to be professional. In the end she only counted out cash to cover the food anyway. So we obviously wont be back. I hope the owner reads this and makes some changes about how things are run.

Food was garbage. Paid good money for garbage. Not worth it. Very unhappy with this restaurant. Not the uber drivers fault either. Unless he cooked the food.

Nice venue, friendly staff, amazing burgers and some of the best chips Ive had.Reasonably priced drinks aswell

Very chill and friendly atmosphere as well as delicious filling food! I had the Caesar salad which was a super generous portion size and really well priced!

Funky friendly vibe. Daytime feed with the kids, mac and cheese nuggets, so good. Chips full of flavour not greasy. Chicken wings were generous and yum. Chicken bites were massive and all the sauces are homemade. Great bartender margarita was one of the best Ive had. Milkshake menu was substantial. Easy afternoon thanks Southside.

Went for a quiet beer and burger not long ago. Fantastic American style burgers, chips were great as were the mac and cheese bites. Will definitely return.

First time, ordering for 2 people. Will definitely return.We used uber eats to order the following:- Mac and cheese loaded schnitty (which we didn’t know came with chips!)- Mac and cheese chips which come with bacon and a taco seasoning- Popcorn chicken- Sweet potato friesThe verdict:The mac and cheese fries and schnitty were HUGE serving sizes! Which was awesome! Overall the food was great quality. It was fresh, tasty and filling! We should have ordered way less because I’m talking HUGE sizes..The only downfall was the mac and cheese itself.. it was pretty bland and dry.. if this recipe was altered, I’d give 5/5 stars!

Burgers AHHHH-mazing!! So big and filling you barely need any sides with them!

THE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. 4 of us waited 2 1/2 hours no joke for 4 burgers and my meat was RAW. Never got any starters while waiting and they weren’t even busy/Uber eats drivers coming in/out. After 2 hours I talked to the owner who was bartending and she argued with me saying I haven’t been waiting that long. Easily the worst service I’ve ever had and I had to send my burger back and she wouldn’t even take it off the bill.

We were welcomed with below average service and to get to our tables we had to walk past an open kitchen door, toilets with open doors and arrived to a table with stuck on food, dirty, sticky, crumby menus and cutlery that looked like they were just eaten off. The place was very unhygienic, uncomfortable and outdated. My family and I had to leave before ordering. Very gutted as I thought it would be a great restaurant!

Won’t give us a refund after waiting nearly an hour for a drink at a bottomless drink event!Attended your bottomless drinks on the 1st of April and waited 50 minutes to receive our first drink. Only got our drink after telling the person at the bar that we hadn’t received anything after this long and that no one had walked past us since ordering. My boyfriend talked to someone I would assume is the manager and she told us to request for a refund through eventbrite. We didn’t participate in this event and left after finding out we could get a refund. We talked to many others at the event and they were also facing the same issue. Once we left the venue we requested the refund immediately. Didn’t receive any update for a week or so and sent a message to “contact the organiser” through eventbrite itself. Waited another week and sent a message through to their Instagram account which has since been active after the message was sent. Tomorrow will be a month since the event and it’s becoming quite a joke that you’ve told us you would provide a refund and are just ignoring us probably in hopes that we would just stop trying. Sad that the management couldn’t have handled this situation in a more professional way.

Love South Side Social! Really nice burgers and sides, the menu changes up a bit over time, Im not complaining but something are better left alone, other things are improvements, if Im ever in the area I cant help but thinking about weather or not Im going to stop in for a cheeky burger😂 always look forward to having a feed and a beer at Soth Side Social.Also the Pickles are NEXT LEVEL!🥒

Love this place! Great vibe like you were walking into a mates place. Staff were really chilled and friendly, and the food and drinks were great!

great burgers, great vibe. definitely the spot to catch up with mates over a few drinks and burgersthey have a good variety of burger options where you choose the protein you want - makes every burger super versatile!my personal fav was the Whiskey Burger - the whiskey bbq sauce was lit! paired so well with the caramelised onion. id recommend this with the beef pattiesi also got the mac n cheese croqs but felt it needed a bit more seasoning - it might have just been an off day in the kitchen for this.. the outside was suuuper crispy though and had such an inviting crisp texture! they def had that down pat

Burgers n cocktails on valentines day. Awesome food and awesome service. Good vibes and great atmosphere down the back. We will be back.

Really great cocktails well priced would recommend for a comfort food time. The staff are happy but not the most attentive but its largely bar service so just be aware and youll be all good!

First when we arrived the tables were so grotty that when we asked the bar staff to wipe down the table, the cloth ended up being ready to throw out. We then decided to move out of the sun, and the next table was just as bad and we asked the bar staff to wipe down the table again and she was so rude and said She couldn’t just keep wiping tables if we decide to Move. The food was good but the staff and tables have made me not want to go back.

Held a birthday party there and the staff were great and were out to ensure we were well catered for. Food was great and obviously the alcohol was great as well. Will definitely go back there for a meal.

(More to follow)First up they charged me for a burger that was not delivered 🤷‍♂️ I also ordered a large wings order that came with hardly any bbq sauce and they were so overcooked and dry it felt like I was eating straw. Food was delivered cold as the Uber diver was changed twice ( I’m not sure where this issue lies if it’s the restaurant or Uber)Parmas / schintties we’re great but you don’t forget part of the menu and expect a great reviewNow to Uber, ordered at 1730, food arrived at 19:56 went through two drivers because no one wanted to pick up the food. Usually the food here is amazing and love every bite and minute I spend but after tonight probably wont return. Grilled chicken burger lettuce tasted like it wasnt wash still taste like dirt. Sweet potato fries were completely burnt, and all this took 1 hour to come out. We waited another 30min for the rest of our meal but never came.Really disappointed use to love the joint now its in the bin wont be recommending to people.

Great place, nice music. Ordered burgers, fries and a beer.Then another beer.And a third by the time our meals arrived over an hour later.Burgers were great, fries over cooked and over salted.But if not in a rush definitely worth going.Just dont order the sweet potato fries.

Firstly the time of our booking was messed up. After waiting in the cold for half an hour, there was no apology. When we ordered drinks they brought out 2/9 forgetting the rest and needing to be reminded after the food delivered. Food and drinks were enjoyable, however several items were unavailable and we were only notified after our order was taken. Finally, many staff were not wearing masks. Will definitely not be back.

Ive dined inside of Southside way back in 16, the experience was laid back and enjoyable. We sat near the bar, service was not difficult to get a hold up. Burgers were super tasty and the milkshake was pure gluttony.Sadly their takeaway orders processes for delivery drivers needs some work. Checklists not ticked off when packing for the driver resulted in items left at the store. Minor critique but one nonetheless.

I have frequented Southside over the years and the food has always been amazing! Even as recent as last week...the burgers were on point. 🤤 Last night however we were left deflated and disappointed by not only by the food but also the lack of basic customer service. My meal was fantastic however my date was served an over cooked....cold burger. It would have been nice if we were asked at any point how our meals were given there were 3 front of house staff wandering around aimlessly. Not to mention the fruit flies which kept drowning themselves in my wine. Poor form....wont be back for a while. 😫

Burgers as usual are great, staff are lovely. But can you guys learn to make a milkshake? It isnt just milk and topping, way too expensive for it to be just milk and a little bit of topping.Didnt like the mac n cheese nuggets but I think that is just me.Sauces are great as well.

Ordered from Southside on the recommendation of a friend, I love American style pub food so ordered the onion rings and buffalo wings. Onion rings were dry, way overcooked and arrived cold, the wings had traces of sauce, not coated in sauce like traditional buffalo wings, they were also overcooked and extremely dry, ..... the dog enjoyed my meal. Ive noticed from the reviews it seems to be a hit and miss with Southside so I would be focusing on who is doing the cooking. Ive worked in hospitality for over 20 years and my experience with a great chef is a final check before it is served, the theory being if its not up to the chefs standard it doesnt go out to the customer. Southside you have a suspect cook that has a zero care factor.

The burgers were okay, I dont know if I had too high expectations but I felt underwhelmed compared to many other burger places.I was also disappointed that there were no local beers on offer considering how many great independent craft breweries are in the area.The service was decent however. Overall though I feel like theres room for improvement and Id be unlikely to recommend based on my visit.

Wednesday wing night was delicious and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Poutine was yum too. Reminded me of Canada 😭😍

Love the place! Been there numerous times and its always packed. This time it was very quiet, but it was 5pm on a Thursday. Great Burgers, friendly staff, best specials around! Atmosphere is modern grungy, alternative modern tunes, the place to be for dinner and stick around for drinks till late... Live music for Sunday sessions too!

Fantastic atmosphere. My burger came out exactly how I ordered it. The $10 cocktails are perfect for a relaxing Saturday evening with mates. Highly recommend this venu. Would be a great place for a function.Great staff and service. 5 stars Southside I will be back.

Good food and good service.Well, used to be good food...They removed jalapeño poppers from the menu which was my favorite of all time.Music was loud but ok at least it wasn’t some lame lounge music or some cheesy cover songs.So sad, I used to like this place.

BEST alcoholic milkshakes! Great burgers and highly recommend the jalapeno poppers.

Southside social is a great American restaurant on Wednesday the have 5$ wings ranging from Smokey bbq and buffalo wings all types of wings. Staff are really nice and friendly. Not recommend for the young ones because of explicit music.

This is my Local burger place. Our household picks this over yomg any day. Its a well priced tasty feed. Quick and polite service our meals came out in minutes.

Great place to go and be social as the name implies.Went solo a few weeks ago and had the fatty 5-0. Beefy, Mac n cheesy, smoky bbq. Great burgers would eat again. Well cooked, nicely sauced.Also had the cheesy fries with chipotle seasoning and American cheddar cheese sauce.Would have been better if it was drowned in the stuff, sauce wasnt as cheesy as I hoped, more chipotle :(.. slight let down but still tasty enough.

Second time here and love it!! Burgers are big and the BEST Ive had in Melbourne. The fatty 5.0 is massive and I had to use a knife n fork.
