I cant believe Ive driven by this place so many times in my 10 years living here. Great little hidden gem. *Go before lunch, for freshness and they also sell out of ribs, etc. quickly.*We will definitely be back.

I’m have never eaten here before and it was fantastic loved it had the brisket pulled pork and chicken absolutely wonderful definitely eat here again

People ask me in different states, where is my favorite place I’ve tried? And I always mention Southern Classic!Fork tender sliced beef had a perfect bite & subtle smoke flavor. The sauce is extraordinary southern classic flavor with a medium pour that got me asking for extra! Robust greens & buttery corn with a perfect crunch. Found a new favorite place! Food was so good. The sauce had just enough spice. The food is definitely bringing us back for more! The owner was pleasant and friendly and I loved it!

This restaurant is clean and has a beautiful decor. Ive had the chicken and pulled pork, both are wonderful. Ill admit I am not fond of beans, but the BBQ beans are really good. The slaw is freshly made. Just like a home cooked meal and at a reasonable price. If you are traveling through Pueblo Colorado and want BBQ, this is the place to go. And if you live in Pueblo, please support this local business. Its a gem of Pueblo.

Lol the hot link sandwich wasnt even one full link. It was maybe half sliced into small pieces and over cooked.. Or was that served up like that for me special? Not everyones money is appreciated here. should have just taken up the space and not ordered a pity meal. Oh well some of us have a Lil class even if you dont sir.

Let me just say that this was one of the coziest BBQ pits Ive ever been to. Everything from the pulled pork to the coleslaw was delicious and home made.. Im just a passer through but I went out of my way to find a decent BBQ place to have dinner. Well worth the small trek off the highway.

Outside maybe misleading, but the food is great! Keep locals alive.

We were driving through and knew that we wanted bbq. We looked up bbq near us and found Willies! We were so pleased that we found this place. All was very good with the unique sauce. We had pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket (very tender and moist), beans and potato salad. We loved it all and were not disappointed. Willie came by several times to check on us. He is very friendly, kind, and funny. Well remember this place for future trips.

Wife had the pulled pork plate. I had pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. Pork was chunky and tasted great by itself. Sauce was vinegar based. Good soft bread. Bbq baked beans and potato salad very good.

Because of my health and recent pandemic, I have not been to Willies for almost 2 years. Ive missed it terribly and have recently been getting takeout from Southern Classic Cuisine. Willie Gay is an exceptional man, a good friend and serves some of the finest BBQ Ive ever tasted. He is a big supporter of Pueblo and we are lucky to have him as a business owner in this community. Prior to my recent visits for takeout, my family always loved going there once to twice a month (or more). Keep up the good work Willie. Weve missed seeing you more often. Awesome food. Ribs were delicious and the greens remind me of how my mom use to make them when she was still living. Homemade and and mouthwatering.

After 12 years of not going here, we have rediscovered this fabulous bbq place. WOW, does not even come close to explain the quality of service and food. Willie is one in a million professional. We ordered the Sampler platter and enjoyed all of his quality meat s and special sauces. Best bbq experience I have had! You have to go.

Went to Willies pit Bar-B-Q great BBQ had the two meat special with pulled pork and pork ribs collard greens black eyed peas and a pulled pork and a sausage sandwich Kassandra and I throughly enjoyed the food and talked with Willie he is a very friendly and a talented man his BBQ will put a smile on your face and if you are lucky you might catch willie with his guitar. it is very rare to go out to eat and feel so at home thank you Willie I just wanted to surprise my girl with some good BBQ for lunch but it was great BBQ and a great time. I will definitely go back again

The food is really good, and the owner is really friendly and funny. The most recent waitress was really nice. The last one left much to be desired! Overall, its a great place to grab lunch or supper.

Meat was microwaved, tough and dry , no sauce on the meat and it definitely did not fall off of the bone . By far the worst barbq I have ever had.Waste of hard earned money.

By far one of the best BBQ places I’ve been too. BBQ is very regional...very sweet and thick sauces in Kansas City and thin and vinegar based in North Carolina...everything else in between!Willie is from Tuscaloosa Alabama and brings authentic southern style from his mama to Pueblo!Every time I’m “home” I have to stop by and get the “JJ Down Home”. This is a pulled pork and hot link sandwich topped with coleslaw.Only authentic custom built indoor pit, slow cooks the meat dripping the fat and releasing the flavors.Menu features something for everyone! With fall off the bone ribs, ham, pulled pork, half chicken, hot links and sides...you may need to try one of everything!

I like their bbq and its close to home with good prices

Food was decent but probably wont go out of my way for it. Sauce was weak and the meats werent anything special.

I drive by their building almost everyday. The building looks cool from the street but I never been in.

Everything was delicious. From the half chicken to the sliced beef. The pineapple cake with nuts was especially tasty. All in our six party group were happy.

Really hated to have to give this rating, been a regular customer since mid 80s. The food was always exceptional, today though was just very different. Order a rack of ribs and chicken the sauce was good as always, only problem never have had meat microwaved at a bbq restraunt. Almost trully cried when that happened things have just gone down hill so so badly. Hope things will get back to how they used to be but i honestly dont believe they ever will. If you go hope you like microwaved food i do not.

Wow! You owe it to your taste buds to go try Southern Classic Cuisine. Through some miracle of gastronomy, the sauce is spicy, sweet, tart, and savory all at the same time. The meats are exceptionally well prepared without being too smoky or over done. Even the iced tea found the perfect balance of being flavorful without being bitter. This is a true diamond in the rough, a fantastic culinary experience just waiting to be enjoyed.

There was nothing "Southern" about this food. This place would go under in a week anywhere in the South. We were thoroughly disappointed. Nothing was seasoned, no rub on the meat. The meat was dry, nothing was fall-apart as it should have been for being in those smokers. The side dishes were straight out of a can without so much as butter or pepper added. The BBQ sauce tasted like ketchup with a little Tabasco. There was zero plate presentation and were pretty certain the bread came off the clearance rack at Walmart. He really aught to be ashamed.

Best kept BBQ secret in Pueblo! Super close to San Carlos, State Hospital, and La Vista. For years I thought this place was closed. They are definitely open, and definitely serving up the best home cooked BBQ in town! We ordered a family pack for $40, everyone loved it! New favorite spot!

Literally the worst food Ive ever had in my life, I went in and the place was dead. (After eating I know whyI ordered a plate of Pulled Pork, and my friend ordered ribs. Our food was cold, Ive never had cold BBQ. My "sides" were potato salad and corn, I received dollar store canned corn that wasnt even warmed and potato salad scooped from a store bought container. My friend had double side of beans and it was canned pork n beans. If this guy is actually from the south, he is and actual disgrace to the name of barbequing.

As soon as you walk in the restaurant, the smell of barbecue captures the nostrils. Good food and the owner is from Alabama so Im pretty sure he knows what hes doing when it comes to that Barbecue Pit

The BBQ Specialties is the House feature. BBQ Chicken, Pulled Pork, Ribs are an old time favorite of mine. Nicely decorated, musical ambiance with the owner. Meals come with various Side dishes that complete the Southern style cuisine. Timely service and follow up by staff. Recommended for your BBQ taste. One of the oldest a southern meal restaurants in town. Good prices for quarter, half and whole chickens, meats sold by portion and the lbs. Favorable sauces.

Everyone should try this place, its so yummy. Pulled pork was great and Pineapple delight desert was also.

Pulled pork is my favorite (topped with hand made coleslaw). Willie is a gem! Oh, the deserts are also good.

Meat was great, feel of the place is homey, and my only complaint was a little more seasoning be used, but once I added the BBQ sauce that feeling was squelched. Willie the owner was above and beyond and lunch was great. Will be back

DO NOT LET THE LOOK OF THE OUTSIDE SCARE YOU OFF! We did for 4 years that we have lived over here. It was BY FAR thee best restaurant experience we, as a family, have EVER had! Willie was absolutely amazing. Will make this a family tradition now. At least once a week. PLUS he teaches ballroom dancing on Thursdays :BEST PLACE AND BEST OWNER OF A RESTAURANT EVERRRRR!

Laid back, and relaxing, some of the best BBQ I have ever had in Colorado, $25 gets you big plate of meat for 3-5 people and 2 massive sides.
