Was helping out with my sons school trip and was astounded by how culture has parallel virtually and evolve as well as knowing history and early creatures.

Everyone should go to see the Anne Frank display, she was an amazing girl who we should all know about.
Great displays that really tell the history of the area.
The exhibits are awesome and the people are very friendly. This is a must do to put on any itinerary when in Timaru.

So much to see and do to catch up on New Zealand, its history, and unbelievable sounding beauty unlike any other. Every hall has its element of surprise! And there are so many halls to experience different things! I love love love it! Best museums Ive been to, even top my previous favourite: Seouls museum! Continue to upkeep the whole thing because it was so much fun and resourceful to walk around in it.
Its not big but its very interesting and nice place glad they have it , good for promotion NZ tourism , and history of the town
So interactive and always something for the kids young and old to do. For work i come here often. Im not from this area but i now live here and have learnt a lot about the area

Interesting books in the shop, rocks to touch, Maori and early settlers items, mounted animals and birds all tell the story of the inhabitants of the area. Tidy and well-lit, laid out in curves to draw the visitor onward. Plenty of visitors wandering through; children were enjoying a competition to find how many poppies were placed around the Museum
Interesting museum with many interactive exhibits and showcases. Highly recommended to check out, free admission!

Lovely little museum. We especially enjoyed the traditional Maori costumes and having the chance to try them on.
What a awesome little County Museum. Full of all sorts of interesting objects for the local area. As well as some objects of national significance it is a awesome outing

Because they make learning history fun for the young and the old. Every time I visit I enjoy my time, the staff are berry friendly, knowable and helpful
