South Bay Center in Dedham

It’s such a shame that there’s this huge parking lot that couldn’t been something better. It’s the only decent shopping center in Dorchester and the lot is still never full.

Did a favor for a friend and dropped them off at this mall. Unfortunately, this mall was very uninviting, actually scary in broad daylight. Alot of mysterious, frightening characters hanging around outside a few of the stores. I watched and waited while my friend entered and phoned me that they arrived inside the store safely. Id be hesitant to return to this mall. Tred carefully.

I like them all theres a lot of good prices and a lot of those different stores you can usually find anything you need within good price its always parking and the buses

Its a decent outdoor mall. Be careful on a windy day carriages are a plenty!

Dangerous place to be. Too close to junkie town. Junkies passed out in front of the stores. Dont ever leave your car unlocked and be very aware of your surroundings. They will slash your tires and offer to help. Dont get taken in! Very dangerous place.

Im disappointed with JP licks is not the same as before sometimes the workers can be rude sometimes theyre happy now they do not accept $50 bills which they should be posted on front of the door before going into the store they have it Hondas registers and small letters in small little letters on the cash register unacceptable unprofessional get a new manager get

A lively place to shop with several useful stores. BUT...The place has become a total vehicular traffic nightmare with the construction near Panera. Not to mention the high volume of foot traffic.... Its a place Im avoiding these days until the situation improves.

This place is amazing! They have Target,Best Buy, Home Depot, chipotle, a nail salon,Nike, Ulta Beauty,Converse, and so much more! I live coming here with my friend(sto chill out.

I visited Best Buy at South Bay Center. My Geek Squad 5-year contract STILL required me to send my Insignia (store brandTV back to the factory in Kentucky or New Jersey. I would NOT have bought the contract if I had known that quirk in the contract.

If you are new to this area or you are a student which has limited money, you should definitely check out this place, you’ll be able to find everything here. For women clothing there’s TJ max and target and it’s in your budget. If you wanna by house holds things you can go to homedipo. If you don’t have much time the visit the target it has all things in one place, clothing, grocery and house items.

Many stores to shop. Awesome restaurants in the area. Plenty of free parking. New apartments built

South bay what can I say GET THE STRAP 🤣🤣🤣 its a mix of emotions over there your sad for people when you first get there fall in love with a item or something you seen walking in the store and buy the time you come out your either arguing fighting laughing or punching someone whom you have never met until that day yeah I love south Bay 💯

Not the greatest neighborhoodWent to 4 different stores, all had merchandise all over the place, very sloppy and unprofessional. Many shelves/sections empty. Target, The Gap, Marshals and Best Buy

Had my tablet sent out to get fixed through Best But and unfortunately it got lost through UPS...😥😕 But I did get a gift card to purchase another. Which is awesome! Im able to purchase an upgraded version...😁 All and all it was great for me bc all I have to do is to re-download all my apps and ill have a new tablet in the end.....🤩👍

Very convenient location and well-designed stores that are attractive and spacious. Lots of parking and amenities in the area. I can bike there, take the #10 bus, or drive there on Frontage Road that runs alongside the Southeast Expy. Take a look at the area on Google Maps and youll see the area has so much to offer!

AMC theater, Marshalls, Tjx, stop and shop, Best Buy, converse store and Olive Garden and more stores in this area!

Great finds here, most definitely worth it. All the great stores in one place very convenient!

Horrible area, the stores; Target, Best Buy etc are not well stocked, trashed up, all you can smell everywhere is marijuana. The district area connected to this mall is lovely.

South bay center was an amazing place all the shops there were amazing and the apartment there were amazing but the streets were a bit noisy would recommend to come some time to enjoy the view and the place

I went into bed bath and beyond and as I entered a person approached me saying can I help you findsomething and I answered no, I was just looking. He watched me as I walked past him and a couple of isle over, only a few feet away, I noticed someone was watching me(and they were close enough to hear the first person that asked if they could help me find something)and pretending to sweep the floor and approached me and asked the same question. I hadnt been in the store 3 minutes and was watched and approached twice while others of a different race that came in after me, was not asked anything nor did they get the look of suspension either. I left.

I spent a few hours there and you can find most everything there, due to the plethora and variety of stores, but I couldnt find a crossword book. Lol

Just like everything else lately, run down and not custodially maintained. Not that the establishment is at fault, I suppose its just the company you keep? The "neighborHOOD" as it were.

The boat was great BUT….. My husband went up and rented a boat during our vacation in Cape Coral. He went in on a Wednesday around 10:30am and The request was for 3 days to be picked up at noon. The rep never gave him a receipt and never reviewed what 3 days meant. On Friday afternoon my husband called the shop to confirm what time the boat had to be back on Saturday. He was informed that it had to be back on Friday by 5pm or there would be additional charges. To me 3 days =72 hours and it should’ve been due Saturday at 12. At the very least the should’ve done 2 things: charged us for 2.5 days or informed us of how they do it so we could’ve made the informed decision. If we had know we would’ve scheduled the rental for pick up at 8am Thursday and returned Saturday at 5

This place, specifically the Home Depot and Stop & Shop, is a culmination of despondent failure all the way from stocking products that match the label to checking out in any reasonable measure of time. They could be amazing if they were staffed at the same level as their suburban equivalents, but they arent, so they are a miserable experience that makes me avoid their brand if at all possible.

The place where you can buy electronics to grocery shopping buy clothes and get something good to eat not bad

South Bay Center is beautiful at night. My first time visiting the area to watch movie at AMC. The area host lots of businesses.

Painful spot to see. Since the closer of Mass and Cass, it seems some of those in need have moved in and around. Lock your cars and keep your eyes focused. This is a rough neighborhood and its full of folks that could use a hand at life.

One of the best malls in intercity Boston. The new AMC cinema is great and one of the best TARGETS in all of Boston. Highly recommended.

This place is right on the edge of a major drug crisis zone. The good people that work here and the customers that come here deserve better. Local law enforcement needs to do a better job of moving these people out of this area. Every time I come here there is some issue. You have people loitering around the front of the stores, obviously high as a kite. Today I witnessed someone who was clearly unstable screaming at customers as they were making their way to the store. A few days ago I watched as people were dealing drugs right out in the parking lot. Im guessing Mayer Wu doesnt shop here.

Im new to Dorchester, so Southbay was the first location that reminded me of back home and normalcy. Its also the place I go listen to my favorite song and stare at the skyline for a few minutes. All the shops in one place are so convenient.

This place is a hidden jewel! Plenty of pleasant surprises. Go the movie theater area and see your "wow" I dont want to spoil it for you. The area is secured, police center across the parking lot and usually an officer watching over things. Great condo development butts the landscape. Major grocery store, Target, Best Buy, top family restaurants and MBTA bus stop comes right inside mall parking lot. Did I mention a Home Depot is here too!? Take an excursion via the T and absorb the views outside the mall and upon entering. Its a nice walk to get here!

Its nice to have this spot in Dorchester, it wasnt too long ago you had to travel quite a ways to see a movie in a theater. Excellent free parking garage as well.

The place a bit dangerous, you have to watch your back when going there beacuse some crazy people can just jump on you lool.A lot of the time is also so dirty.The new built area is way better but still kind of crazy people.

The new Stop & Shop (expandedoften has long lines but they do try to keep the shelves stocked. Good range of stores in this mall too.

I love this plaza! Not only because it is very well located in the middle of Dorchester but because it has literally anything you need.Please, take note 📝There are stores for groceries 🌱🌶🥔🥗🥦🥒🥕, electronics 💡📱💻, renovations ⚒️🔨🪛, shoes 👠 👞 …. Beautiful and nice restaurants, even a Nail salon 💅 (Which I love!and finally… a Starbucks (a very nice one!)I come very often and still there are stores I haven’t visit.It is a busy mall, so be prepared for a little hassle to park.

I made a trip home to Boston, and went to South Bay with my sister. I was amazed. I remember when the area was a vacant plot of land. Now its a shoppers dream. Everything from a supernarket to a movie theatre. My only issue is the parking lot. Not well planned and I heard there a multiple accidents reported every week. Dont let that deter you. Go get your Starbucks and drive safely. 😁😁☕☕

I only went to stop n shop supermarket. I notice they been doing a real good set up. Look very nice. Also Target have a new extra entrance close to the food section. Real nice. Look like hight class place.

I walked past Pearl at South Bay at night on 9/23/21 and its beautiful as shown in the stunning pictures attached. I went to Pearl on the following Saturday. It was an interesting experience. The food was good overall. We ordered lots of things from the menu totalling about $200.00. Without going into much detail about the food, which was very good, the service at lunch was slow. The waiters were a little too much interested in talking amongst themselves, as opposed to giving great customer service to the patrons.The drinks came over a little too slow, but the food came out fast. A new restaurant should be very careful in these times to make sure that the customers are very well taken care of, with impeccable service. Cleaning tables in between courses and making sure that the lunch and dinner services are up to their expectations. When youre introducing a seafood restaurant in Boston its very important to make sure that the restaurant is meeting expectations. Theres plenty of competition.

This area was very clean. Folks are nice here. Speak when spoken too. Even speak with a warm greeting ☺️But its still Boston! Not good vibes for me because Im a fan of the STEELERS!!

This has become our go to place when we don’t know what to do for an evening. With a movie cinema and a handful of restaurants and a JP Licks, and Tesla superchargers, you cant go wrong.

The South Bay centre is a cool place to visit if you have a lot to do. You’re sure to get at least 70% of your to do list sorted here and done right after. Restaurants, target, Starbucks, forever 21, Nike, wahlburger, Olive Garden, amc, and so much more. Like it here.
