Sourdough Cocktail Bar - Cocktail bar in Ketchikan, United States
Our tour guide told us this is the most interesting bar in Ketchikan, and he wasnt lying. Its a great place to have an affordable beer and watch the mix of people coming and going. The walls packed with old photos and strange relics from the past give you lots to look at as you soak in the atmosphere of a seaside town where it rains nearly every day. One thing to remember: they dont serve food.
Only Mrs. Pac Man left in the world. Is the table version too.
A locals and fishermans bar which also welcomes tourists. The lady behind the bar was friendly and helpful. Service is good, but drinks are quite pricy, but maybe this is normal for Alaska. It has the feel of an old American bar. There is a wall of pictures, which are very interesting - collected over the years of boats run aground or on fire just mishaps that have happened over the years. We also met and chatted to some friendly locals. Would recommend stopping here for a drink - especially their local distillery gin cocktails!
Great local spot. Bartender Luke took care of us and kept us entertained all night. Would definitely be a go to spot next time I’m in town
Service is good price is alright. Music in juke box up to date workers. Are super great people. Pictures are interesting collected over the years of boats run aground or on fire just mishaps that have happened over the years. I Recomend stopping in and taking a look at the photos.
I likea ringa bell
Nice little bar. A lot of old pictures of mishaps on the water.
Its fun! They have lots of games and serve strong drinks
A lot of history on the walls.
Good bar, stopped here after work and its not totally shady so u dont feel like your gonna get stabbed and Its not super high class as to where I felt out of place
Service is good, the beer on tap is favorable and the bartenders are pretty chill and nice. The place is nice and the pool tables are decent. Would have a beer again there.
Had a great time here and very fair pricing!!
New bartender is a real piece of garbage, otherwise a great place when hes not working.
Tables are perfect size for beyblade battles
Great Bar when you wanna just hang out with friendly people. The Bar staff are Kind Friendly and Engaging. I wanted to do a “shout out” to my favs. And then realized I adore all of them. Great job ‘DoughHeads’!!! (Is that a thing?🤣My Very Favorite part of the ‘Dough’ (as it is affectionately referred to by the localsis getting lost viewing the Many pictures that hang on the walls. Each wall is packed with visually documented SouthEast Alaska History and IF, you ask, there is usually someone close by that has a personal connection to one or more of the images hanging and are excited to share their experiences.Of course if you wanna Watch your favorite sports team play, there always seems to be a game on the screens. AND the usual ‘bar’ games, pool darts pinball haveA place here too They also have a working Shuffle Board AND Old School Ms PAC-MAN (sit down/2-playersvideo game.
Theyre lady bartender was very rude only listened to the Men fighting I dont even drink & I called the cops & let them know there bartender Favors the Asian group that was there & kicked out the Wrong person .... I also let him I Video the whole thing ..... I also went Live on Facebook & let everyone Know that short White bartender didnt even listen to him at all .... so Asian run your Bar is how everyone seen it last night on Facebook 🤣😅🤣😅
Went here off a cruise for a repeat visit. Nice place to watch the games and meet interesting folks from all over fer sure. See ya next cruise!
An enjoyable bar. They had Guinness in the can, so I was happy. Pleasant bartenders. Prices were very reasonable. Pool tables.
Authentic fishermans bar. Great collection of shipwreck photos.
Friendly environment with games and music, also good beverage selection
Theyve got shuffle board, pool, darts, pin ball, and a vintage arcade table. Its style is a blast from the past complete with tacky carpeting and wooden paneling, so its awesome! Walls are covered in pictures of local shipwrecks. Drink prices are comparable to the Arctic and Asylum. No windows is the only thing.
Its a good bar in town, got all the entertainment items even a shuffleboard. Staff is friendly and good music usually is playing.
By far my favorite bar in Ketchikan, IMO it imbodies the spirit of the comm. fishing industry in Ketchikan rolled up into a bar with all the basic staples. Pool / shuffleboard / live music and friendly bartenders. Love these guys!
I recently visited a friend who moved to Ketchikan. The Sourdough bar was my favorite place I visited ! The staff are fun and make the best bloody Marys Ive had. The regular customers made me smile and feel right at home! They made biscuits and gravy, spiked punch and pastries for anyone coming in on Thanksgiving morning! Love this place, town and sense of community.
Great bar with great service! Very chill with pool and even shuffle board!! Should def visit if in Ketchikan have a local Alaskan beer and check out all the ship wrecked boat pictures on the wall
Small town atmosphere & good energy but loud and expensive. Im also use to $3 well drinks in everett and bellingham though.
If I could give this place a zero, I would. I ordered Barcadi silver and cokes, got charged for Bacardi gold. They also had a charge for the glass I used. One of the locals said theyve seen a charge for ice before.
Local hang out that the tourists are welcomed at. I had a Kolsch Alaskan beer and was just right. The seats at the bar were a bit slippery and tilted down a bit which was kind of weird....and I wasnt the only one that noticed....but I enjoyed my time spent and wanted to share. Never know till you try!
This place ROCKS!!! Best service in town!!!! Thanks man!!!!
Cool place to visit, 3 minutes walking from the pier.. just get what you need and continue your day...
Love it that u can have a cocktail in one hand and a bottle from the liquor cabinet in the other :AND, right by the pier 👍
Do not miss this iconic place. Massive pictures of boat wrecks. Everyone should walk their walls of shame.
Cool little bar in downtown area. Good old school place with good cold beer on tap. Thought it would be touristy given proximity to cruise ships but a legit old bar.
Fun local bar with a great selection of beer on the tap. Lots of mix drink choices.
Good place to get a drink and relax. Always cool bartenders! A few pool tables, darts, an all around good bar.
Appreciate the billiards playing atmosphere here very much.Staff and clientele are most rad.🤙🏼😍
Friendly, out-of-the-way quiet bar. Very friendly service. Great place to meet travelers and locals. Low-key. A great place to sit down and rest your feet after walking historic Ketchican.
Kinda gross facility and rough crowd but the drinks were good and service good.
Awesome bartender, jessy is great. Good atmosphere. Good jams.
This place is great! If you are in the fine town of Ketchikan you must check them out!
Lady did not know how to make a jolley racher very weak in drink however lady tried but peoplewere really nice i stayed for one drink and finshed my walkDP
Straight up the most authentic, classic Ketchikan AK bar! Wally is awesome!
the sense of humor of the staff is great.enjoyable place to spend. some time..
Been coming here for years. Its a family tradition to spend the 4th of July here before and after the parade. Its a personal tradition to make this my first stop when I return to Ktn. Hope for Andrea as your bartender. Shes the bestest. Guaranteed.
Very relaxing, bartender very nice. I felt comfortable staying there by myself while the rest of my party headed out in the cold wind to shop.
One of my favorite bars in Ketchikan! The bartenders are awesome. Theres pool tables, a dart board and a shuffle board. Theres also a couple of flat screen TVs so you can watch whatever sport is in season. The vibe is always good, even when there isnt a crowd of people.
Has become my local when i come into town as its a good spot to watch American Football without smokers :, just a shame they dont serve food.
The Alaskan brewing co beers are great and this is an old style little bar with genuine feeling of what Alaska was back on a day. The service was awesome. Note, it is an old bar, so expect that.
Good band. Lovely service. I wanted a drink she didnt know, looked it up and she made it beautifully
Ive been here several times and each time was a great experience. All the bar tenders Ive met here, really take the time to get to know you, and talk with you. The drinks arent over priced, the decor is perfect for Ketchikan, and bar is of good size.I suggest if youre looking for a relaxing good time, that this is the bar for you.
