Souka Bake Shop - Cafe in Subang Jaya, Malaysia
Fairly established cafe with a good selection of tasty food consisting of pastas, quiches, pies, etc. Tried their grilled chicken, tasty but the portion is a bit on the smaller side. Lovely caramel latte, and also sinfully delicious cinnamon roll. Its a small establishment, so dont expect too much space between you & the next person.
Nutella babka - dry and one tiny half nut on the sideBiscoff donut - doesnβt have Biscoff taste muchOrange almond cake - bitter ( orange peels are not bitter but if you scraped the pith it will make your cake bitter )Cranberry scones - so soOverall, did not satisfy my sweet cravings and need improvement!
Nice and cozy ambience....Friendly staff...Highlight is cinnamon roll...Potato curry puff and double choc chip cookie was yummy...
Nice place to have a piece of cake and coffee. Comfortable, good quality and good service. Dont hesitate to visit.
Excellent cakes and patries. Nice bright layout, friendly personnel and reasonable prices.
All good. Waiter and cashier also very friendly and attentive. Only a bit noisy when filled with customers. Also love the cafe layout, very aesthetic. Will come again next time.
This small bakeshop is unassuming good. There are varieties of cakes and pastries to choose from. Besides that, they also serve nice coffee. If one is looking for decent meal, they serve pasta and other meals too.
Very relaxed post luncheon coffee over some much-needed caffeine here. Fabulous. The cupcakes, are on point too and a hit among for the younger taste buds.

We ordered our drinks and cake, paid, and went to our table. And waited. And waited. And waited. After 20 minutes, we asked the staff for our orders and showed them our bill. They totally forgot all about us because their conversation with each other was more important.
Cozy atmosphere with western lunch menu and dessert options...spent a lovely afternoon catching up with old friends
Good ambience, staff is friendly. Cake is quite big piece and range RM15-20 per piece. However choices limited more towards chocolatey flavours, if they have some fruits flavours would be better for an after meal dessert
Decoration and ambience of the cafe is nice
Small but nice place with a good relaxing ambiance. Staff are friendly and the pastries and cakes taste good! Price wise is normal just like other cafes and affordable. The waiter even gave us batu seremban for us to play while waiting for the food. Definitely will come again. Keep it up guys :-)
Comfortable place, but was a bit turned off when I saw a fly feasting on the exposed pastries. Staff killed it with a zapper but I no longer wanted to eat those.Instead, had a couple of cakes. Burnt cheesecake was decent, but the Biscoff Chocolate Cake was a bit dry and overly sweet. Coffee was good. All in all, a moderate experience.
Those cheesecake is mind blowing and we loved it. If you want a perfect cheesecake please purchase from Souka. The taste is simply exquisite and the strawberry was so sweet and fresh. Overall perfect π well done
Alhamdulillah the taste pretty good, mine was carrot cake wallnut (i guessthe taste was wonderful! The design is nice where you can chill with ypur friends. And abang dekat situ pun pandai tangkap gambar, you should ask him.to take your picture. He have the skills. thanks
Lovely place with lots of choices: cakes, cupcakes, doughnuts, croissants & even savory stuff like quiches. We ordered the hummingbird, chocolate mud, carrot cheesecake and the best which is the chocolate laced cinnamon roll plus 2 long blacks which cut the sweetness of the cakes. I almost tapaued one more cinnamon roll home because it was freshly baked and just the right touch of spice. Even though it was a Saturday night it wasnt too crowded and there was even a 20% discount on cakes after 7pm. Would definitely recommend!
Ordered red velvet and chocolate cupcakes and 2 sardine puffs....(read some good reviewsbut unfortunately the cupcakes were not fresh...dry and a stale taste and the sardine puffs were flat and unappetising.....spent nearly RM70 including grab service for stale unappetising stuff....1st time order but will also be the last time...very dissappointed.
Super good cinnamon chocolate bun.
Dont know how to handle cake properly. Lousy service.
Ambience: the shop is a little dull from the outside but is a great place for some quiet working time.Service: neutral on thisDessert: personally do not prefer their cakes as it is too sweet for me. Not very many things are impressive, would not go back for a second visits
Decent bake shop located along a busy street. Not too big with only a handful of seating. Prices are okay. Staff are friendly. Parking is a mess.We came late around 9pm for dessert. Tried their lotus biscoff cheese, triple chocolate & hummingbird cakes. They were all pretty good. Not too sweet & good texture. Seemed fresh. We washed it all down with their cold press mixed juices. They were refreshing with good flavor.Overall an okay spot to chill.
always give chances when ordering food from souka. everytime its bad i kept quiet and do nothing. this time itβs unacceptable! the croissant was so bad! they didnβt heat the croissant before giving it to customer and the croissant was hard like a rock! this happens to me numerous times and itβs unacceptable
Sardine puff was unappetizing, berry pistachio roll taste too sweet and sticky. Felt like eating hard jam. Coffee was a bit sour. Another table complained that one of the breads was too hard to eat. Atmosphere is not good, there is a weird smell upon entering the shop. 5 people working in such a small shop. Only talk and does nothing. The cashier was impatient when we asked what is good. When talking to his peers did he appear energetic
Its ok, coffee is ok. There were some flies in the bake display which was a little unsettling. Bit tight of space as well and with 3 staff, they were slow to clear the table.
Dropped by Souka in Subang Jaya at 12:35 forLunch .The manager / staff told me no dine in because they have their break from 1:00-2:30 pm.A cafe that closes for dine in during lunch?
Normally Im not the kind who provides any reviews. But this time after all that I heard of this bakeshop I wanted to give it a try. I eagerly waited after I placed an order of a hot Cappuccino and a Candy Cheesecake via Food Panda. Upon receiving my order I realized my hot Cappuccino was not hot after all and I was especially shocked to see that the coffee was not even half full of the takeaway cup. Literally so less that I thought somebody drank it and sent me the remaining coffee. It was 10 bucks and I didnt mind paying for it but the QUANTITY was a literal SHOCK. I kindly advice to at least fill the coffee until 80% of the cup. My drink was legit around 35% of the cup which is very disappointing to coffee lovers. Cheese cake tastes good but looked messy.Thank you.
Souka has a wide variety of baked goods, from pastries to cakes, savoury items and a good food menu for heavier meals as well. The staff is okay, not the friendliest in my opinion. The place is a little cramped if youβre looking to dine-in but otherwise I would recommend their cakes .. very delicious and the space is clean . Lovely warm aesthetic.
The family has been going here for our bread & pastry needs for quite sometime. Especially cakes for birthdays are my favourite from here, just my liking. You need to go to know, rate it as your own experience tell you.
Came for take away. Otherwise seats available during my visit. But small table 2 to 4 person only. Price as usual patisseries. Took death by nutella and the creamfilled donuts. Taste okok as any other cake. Donuts are really stuff with lots of cream. But personal preference applies. Otherwise the drawback for this place is very difficult parking
Went here for lunch, coincidentally found this place went passing by here to go to one of the medical supply store. Was not crowded, was not greeted. Despite the great review, we dont feel a warm welcome.. there were other 3 tables..made our orders at 12.30 pm ..at 1pm, food didnt arrived.. no updates.. suddenly the table at the back went to counter to ask about their food, they didnt get theirs yet and they were there before us! Just waited there, and finally food arrived at 1.30pm with no apology or explanation.. I really cant accept 1 hour waiting time for fried chicken!
Date of visit: 6 Feb 2022Very poor service by one of the staffs (Malay girl with head scarf). We took a stool from the table next to us which was empty and this girl just walked over took back the chair and said βthis table is reserved ya guysβ and walked away. Not a word of sorry or any effort to help get us find another chair. With such attitude, she shouldnβt be placed at the front of the house, sheβs more suited at the back where thereβs no need to face customers.Thank goodness she didnβt handle us at the cashier tho she was there earlier. A nice polite Malay guy handled us πTbh their desserts and pastries are pretty overrated. With such stiff competition in the cafe scene, customer service is so vital, that staff needs to improve her customer service and attitude.
We tapau their Salmon Quiche, Mushroom Quiche, Kerabu sushi, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Korean Blueberry Cheese Bun to enjoy it at home...semuanya sedap. Cant get enough all of them...menyesal tak tapau lebih. Thank you Souka for bring joy to our tummy during this raining season.
Had the burnt cheesecake, hummingbird and blood orange coffee. The burnt cheesecake was light and easy on the taste buds while the hummingbird was a little on the sweet side for me. Liked the blood orange mocktail with its bitter, fizzy and tangy taste. Its like carbonated coffee with a tinge of orange.
I pre-ordered a cake 2 days before the pick-up date but when I arrived to pick up my cake, it turned out that my order hadnt been prepared. However, they very kindly offered me a complimentary cake which was an upgrade from my original order - all free of charge even though I offered to pay the difference.I had the Mars cheesecake which was really yummy and not too sweet. I must commend the team for taking responsibility for the mix-up and prioritizing customer service. Also, their prices are really reasonable for the quality of their products. Will definitely be back to try out the other stuff on the menu!Update: came back for breakfast the following week. Looks like Ive found my new favourite cafΓ© in Subang! π
Absolutely delicious spaghetti, pasta, pastry and cakes.. Grazie mille.. πππ My favorite is the spaghetti masak lemak smoked duck.. mamma mia so sedap!
I had a scare back in December 2021 when the shop was quiet and look closed. To my relief, they were just renovatingβ¦thank god. After 2 months of no SOUKA, we had salmon quiche, olio seafood bunga kantanπ spaghetti and fried mushrooms. Of course, latte is a mustβ¦Sorryβ¦no photos. Too engrossed with good food and companyβ¦I forgotπ₯Ί
My school friends of more than 40 years (from primary to secondarygathered here at Souka Bakeshop, Subang JayaThe 12 of us were very very noisy and they tolerated usWe were quiet for a short while when one of the staff helped snapped our pictures
Definitely a hidden gem of Subang Jaya. I enjoy coming here and have their coffee while doing work - so so peaceful with a good playlist. Popularly known for their red velvet (which my kid loves so muchbut i prefer their Carrot Walnut cake π
Mouth watering dessert and bakefy choices . Limited seating . Staff didnt usher guest and assist to arrange seating ..there was 2 pax seated at large table . Self serve concept . Only counter service.
Came here for lunch due to suggestion from relatives of mine. At a first glance, looks like a normal bakery shop that can dine in. I dont know if there is exact term for the business. Basically a hipster bakery cafe. The ambience is nice and have a good lighting. Accompanied with jazz music in the background, its good for relaxing. Although it can be a little noisy with guest chattering around. The food is delicious. Everything on the menu is made with care and love for the customer. From the beverages, coffee, tea, western food, pastries and cakes, just choose what you desires and order them. The price is reasonable for a cafe in Subang Jaya. The customer service is great. If anything, it would just be the table availability since there isnt much table inside the shop.
Great food, good ambience and good service!
Good place to hangout and have a chat with friends. The bakeshop offers an ample selection of pastries, pancakes and others to satisfy your cravings.Price: 5/5Parking: 5/5Food: 5/5Environment: 5/5Service: 5/5
This is our go-to place for buying whole cakes, either for birthdays or occasions. I can safely say I have tried most of their cakes here, and have not been disappointed by any so far. Here are some of the cakes I recommend: Lemon Poppyseed, Hummingbird, salted caramel choc, Mars Cheesecake, Matcha cheesecake, Tropical pavlova, chocolate peanut butter pie, pandan coconut, Nutella cake, peanut butter & jelly cake... To name a few. They usually have a few whole cakes available, I suggest to give them a call to reserve your cake before picking them up. If you have a few days to order (4 days), you can pick from their huge list of flavours available with options to customise. They always have a nice selection of cupcakes and other pastries on display. Definitely try them out when you have a chance to visit!
I love the food there. The hospitality. Interior design like so original. Authentic. Food like cakes pastries semua sedap. Kalau makanan outsource from cheppenimskitchen, salmon steak sedap. Salted egg pasta, very sedap. Cafe is very welcoming. Ppl come and go to grab cakes and pastries, i love the vibes there. Choc fudge dia sangat sedap. I ordered custom cake and they manage to do it very well. Bombolone is to die for! Please order everything here u wont regret!
Ordered their cakes through Grab and was quite impressed. So far, this bakeshop is the only one in the Klang Valley to serve slice "Mint Chocolate Chip" Cake and sliced "Hummingbird" cake. They served other unique flavoured cakes as well.Their cakes are not so sweet and big for their size. Love the complex flavor of the "hummingbird" cake and the minty cream of the Mint Chocolate Chip cake.Would love to dine in and try on their other cakes after fmco.Recommend to give it a try. Price wise almost the same as the any cafes but mostly are RM 12 to RM15. Same price as on Grab.
Food was scrumptious. Slices of cake were very generous portions. Baked pastry were flaky but not dry. A tad pricey but good for a treat.
Cakes were moist & nice.Service also pleasant.
Nice hot chocolate π. Food are good and price reasonable. Nice ambiance to chill.
