Souk Kafé in Marrakech
Description
Privilege
Good local food and very friendly staff
Good place for great couscous.
We had a very good dinner and the roof is extremely relaxing. Highly recommended!
MoreOasis in the middle of the Medina! Fresh rooftop with a lot of shade and fresh air.The food was delicious, especially the Tangine Keft and super affordable compared to other touristic places. The staff was also very polite. A truly GO TO in the Medina!
MoreIt was a lovely little place, we had the lemon chicken which was amazing, fair prices and great service, we hope to visit again.
MoreNice hospitality, tasty food...
Delicious restaurant with great food
Great service and delicious food!
The view from the terrace was beautiful, and the food amazing, we highly recommend
MoreStopped here for lunch during Ramadan. Had the terrace to ourselves. Food was good. The guy at the door said they took credit cards but when the bill came, the waiter said they didnt. As we were leaving I saw the CC reader by the computer so maybe it didnt work that day. Who knows. Just bring cash with you just in case.
MoreUse Google offline map to get there. There are large signs to let you know you are near.Steep stairs. This area is not wheelchair friendly. The couscous is light, fluffy, and unflavored.
MoreThis place is ok. Nice rooftop to get away and bask in some sun. The food is pretty average. However the fries are excellent! Again another touristy spot.Don’t forget your 10% discount with the MarrakechRiad app.Prices are cheap to average.
MoreLITERALLY the worse dinning Experience i have ever had. According to the price, i expected a fine dining service. What we got was Food not served on time , staff ignoring your requests and looking away, Manager not caring for the least service recovery. We left at the middle of our dinning exactly at the main course after asking several times for bread for our tagine (its supposed to be complementarythe bread came when the tagine got cold the staff didn’t seem to bother much they simply handed over the full dining bill (with the desert and tea which we didnt haveand said indifferently thank you. Total waste of money and energy looking for the restaurant in the middle of the medina!
MoreStaff friendly, food not too bad but not exceptionnal and the service is quite long.
MoreNice cafe with rooftop terrace with a variied menu and good service. We had the mixed morrocan salad appetizer, and Tajine.
MoreAttention! They say that they dont have change so that you have to pay more. The coffee was disgusting but the view is nice.
MoreOverall fairly mediocre. The staff seemed uninterested in serving me and were incredibly slow in taking my order. The food itself was alright, far from the best Moroccan meal Ive had in Marrakech but there was nothing bad about it.
MoreAs soon as you do not want to be on the rooftop where all the foreigners are, service was terrible. Food was very overpriced. Add that to zero circulation, an avoid.
MoreHonestly, I can’t even tell about the place as we went there and waited for 30 mins to order coffee and a dessert. We asked a waiter 2-3 times and he promised that someone would eventually come which eventually didn’t happen. So, unfortunately, due to extremely bad service we couldn’t experience the food and left the place. I hope in the future the situation will change.
MoreHarira tasted more like some heavy, greasy sauce than soup. We ate also tajine with chicken in lemon - proper - and vege couscous. In the middle of night I had a stomach sensations, could not excatly tell after which of that meals (I think harira- but for sure after Souk Kafe. Be careful.
MoreLovely food on top of a roof top terrace, Morrocan cuisine only but fairly priced. I would go back.
MoreLovely restaurant but overpriced. Very similar dishes at half the price along the souk street. Food was tasty. The 6 piece Moroccan appetizer dish (85 Dhwas a little expensive for what you got but the tagine were delightful
MoreThe place targets tourists. So if youre aware of that, youll have good time. Weve ordered one of the menus and some starters and shared it among 2 adults and kid. It was more that enough in terms of quantity of food. Food itself is quite tasty, but you can do better in terms of taste and price if youll visit less touristy place.
MoreQuiet spot with nice food. Service is slow but very friendly. We were particularly addicted to their potato chips. They were SO good!
MoreLovely hidden terrace from which to have a quiet beer and watch the sun set after visiting the museums. Nice pastilla too.
MoreVery nice place, delicious french fries (we had a problem to find in Marrakech), waiter was very nice too, prices are very good (about 20€ per two persons- mains dishes and drinks)...maybe there should be more dishes for vegetarians :But except it was everything fine :)
MoreNice place with a great value menu. Soup, Tajine, dessert, and drink for only 130dh. We visited once for a late lunch and once for dinner and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Highly recommended!
MoreGreat food, relaxed atmosphere and attentive service. The roof terrace offers some tranquility above the city with general rooftop views but no view of the distant snow capped mountains
MoreWe had here almost the same food as in Dar Cherifa. This was like 100 times better. And faster. And cheaper.Street leading to it is not promissing, but at the end great experience. Not the cheapest place, but at least it was worth the money.
MoreThey serve you many delicious dishes that comes in small portions so that you can share.
MoreThe place is quite cosy and the food is good. Not great but good. It was slightly embarrassing that there was a couple with a small child and it was allowed to play everywhere 🤦🏻♂️
MoreIm torn, on the one hand it was a really pleasant surprise that they have gluten free couscous and its actually quite good, plus theres a nice terrace and good friendly service. On the other hand the sauce and vegetables were pretty bland, I didnt understand why they couldnt serve the tagines with the gf couscous, and its a bit overpriced. So a mixed experience...3.5 stars would be appropriate
MoreA nice meal. We found it a peaceful, quiet restaurant down narrow and interesting streets. The good was okay but you can definitely find better good or cheaper elsewhere in the central Medina. They do however have a good selection of fruit juices.
MoreRecommendable restaurant with very good local food offside of the trouble.
Great morrocan food, rooftop terrace, friendly staff. One star lost because no alcohol, but it didnt matter as food was great.
MoreGreat food and service!
Really delightful place in the heart of the medina. A bit pricy (can definitely find similar quality of food for less than half the price), but the ambiance and selection of foods makes up for it. Try the appetizer sampler!
MoreVery cosy terrace and friendly staff. I got a Tajine Makfoul and its probably one of the best meals Ive had while in Marrakech.
MoreGood food, cute vibe!
Good: The food was really good and the prices are fair for a touristic restaurant. I would specially recommend the Herira (soupin winter. It was delicious, with a rather big portion. We were happy with the service too.Not so good: They dont accept card! Just cash!Notice: we needed Google maps to find the place you may also need that too!No alcoholic drinks, like everywhere else in the Medina.
MoreThe food was excellent. A bit pricey but probably around 90 dirhams average per meal. Enjoyed the 6 Moroccan plate appetizer a lot. Has beer and wine.
MoreReally good place, the food its amazing and their terrace is really nice.the atmosphere at night its really quiet and relax and if in good company even romantic. The staff is really nice and on hand, they will treat you almost like royal. Also they have live music and the inside, I got the chance to see two man playing local music and it was really nice. The food is amazing no need to say it twice. I just recommend this place to all, just keep in mind that its a bit hard to find,if you dont know your way(and probably wont).
MoreNice and quiet terrasse, the mix of appetizers was a tasty good sized lunch for two, friendly stuff!
MoreSouk Kafe is nice place with nice terrace and great food! I really liked the tanjia marrakech with couscous! I hope to visit again! Special thanks to our waiter Mohammed.
MoreFood was not the best and we couldnt understand why it took so long for our mains to come out despite being the only two in the cafe
MoreFood is great, we were served by Simu who entertained us well and gave us tips on how to stay safe in the market. They have a lovely terrace as well.
MoreWe came twice to the restaurant! Good service, good food and excellent views up-floor.
MoreBeautiful setting and terrace, great service and everything we ordered was well made and tasty. Super recommended
MoreFantastic little find. Best at night, the terrace is warm and welcoming, quaint decor, good entertainment, cake and drinks great, but there is no view at all. In fact, try not to look past the wicker screens...
Moregreat location, superb view over the roofs of Marrakech - especially at sunset.Only the food: I ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail "Detox" and got the runs for 4 days. be careful if you have a sensible stomach. It also had a terrible taste.
