HUGE souk. The second time I visited I found whole new parts of the Souk I didn’t see the first time. Loads of great bargains. DO NEGOTIATE! Some items where I was quoted 100 in one place I was quoted 600 in another. If something is quoted as 500 go back with 80! Do not be afraid to haggle it’s a part of their culture.

Great and safe place to visit. You can buy there literally anything. Starting from fresh food, spices, clothing, cosmetics, electric appliances and furniture and much more. Few food and drink vendors. As a tourist you will be charged slightly more than locals however you can haggle the price which is a must. Haggling is almost like a national sport in their culture. People with allergies be aware there are few stray cats. Duration time to walk around is about 2 hours. By entrance locals will offer you a guided tour as you can easily get lost in the maze of the market. Haggle the price before agree the tour. Best and easiest way to get there is by taxi. Used orange colour taxi company and for 7-9 minute yourney for 2 people from the hotel paid 20 dirhams (2GBPone way. Make sure you agree the price of the fare before the journey (haggling again). Busiest day in market is Sunday. On Mondays market is closed.Hope this helps.

Local market where you can buy particularly everything from clothes, shoes and handbags, to cushions, blankets and rugs, you can even buy large electrical items from here, like fridge freezers and cookers, as well as all kinds of exotic spices, sweets and ingredients. Plenty of local taxis available that will happily take you there and back.Prices are high by Moroccan standards, particularly for travelers who don’t speak Arabic, but generally feel like a bargain compared to America or Europe, some stores will allow for haggling, so dont be afraid to take advantage of this.Tailors around the market can also alter garments or make them to your specifications.

People sell worse things than In china Id save your money and go to Turkey the bags and clothes and shoes are way better quality than here I would not recommend buying anything from here and plus it closes at 9 and the doors lock so you have to walk sooo much just to get out. A lot of beggers and harassment. Be careful of your children as the women barge through like bulls without a care for anyone else. And no one wears masks and cough in your face like pigs.

Its an experience you shouldnt miss if youre in Morocco, the souks are brilliant but be prepared to haggle and if you dont get the price you want be prepared to walk away, you will find the same items elsewhere at the price you want.As always in markets abroad be careful with your purse or wallet, the pick pockets are very good at what they do, and fast. Be ready for beggars as well, it may not be normal for you but really its best to ignore them totally, if you show any interest at all they will follow you about hounding you, just be very firm and say no clearly. If they do keep annoying just mention the police, they will soon leave you alone. So be careful but enjoy, its worth it.

This Souk is okay but nothing special at all.The entire ace felt to me like any old market in the world. There were rows and rows of little shops, all neatly arranged in blocks so that you could walk up and down for ages, the only problem was that everything was repeated over and over. The stalls all selling the same goods every ten stands or so, repeated bags, repeated clothes, dodgy looking argan oil and genuine fake fragrances. There was nothing special about this for me and the experience was a bust. For me personally, the souks of Marrakesh and Jemaa El-Fna are much more inviting and a lot more traditional. The goods are much more varied and the experience is a lot more authentic to Morocco

People charge you stupid prices. But dont be fooled. Very good place to shop. Me and my wife made a day out of it and had fun haggling and bargaining with the shop keepers. Overall very good place to visit for shopping. Also prices are not too bad, but like I said dont be fooled and give them what they ask for. Haggle a little.

It’s a really nice market for a lot of things but super crowded and I had to haggle for literally everything. I definitely don’t regret going there for the snacks. The grilled corn, boiled chickpeas and fresh orange juice are delicious.

I have been told that Sunday is the busiest day here, and that is exactly why we chose to go in time for opening on a Sunday (roughly 10am). There is a wide array of goods in the market, from fruit and veg, clothing, footwear, watches and spices. All of the market sellers were friendly, and happy to haggle with you. As it got closer to the afternoon, the environment got slightly more intense and there was a lot more hustle and bustle. At times, the smaller alley ways started to feel a bit too claustrophobic. We never felt unsafe or pressured apart from when a ‘guide’ tried to take us to his store as we first arrived. As long as your polite but clear, people will leave you be. Overall, this was an amazing experience and is a really good way to immerse yourself in the local culture

Ive visited this market before, one thing to note, you must have a lot of negotiating skills and energy. The first price is NEVER what you will pay!Thats where your bargaining skills will come in to force, if you like a great bargain.

Arrived mid to late morning, was not too busy, cleaner than expected and the vendors not as pushy as expected either, so over all a very positive experience. all the usual stuff youd expect for sale, but not "very" cheep, but good value and nice to be able to support the traders after what has no doubt been a couple of very difficult years...

Massive, massive and massive and you dont feel like your being pestered either. You can probably buy everything and anything here and did I forget to say its massive. You definitely need a few hours. We were offered to visit this place by our holiday rep for lots of money with a 1.5 hour stay at the market. We decided to hire a car and go ourselves and im glad we did, its fantastic. If you like markets and haggling, this is the place to visit, but be aware, there lots of fakes here.

Crazy experience. Doors 6 through to 12 are good items. Don’t buy food or spices as we were warned by our travel guide. There are no numbers on the doors so be sure to ask someone what door you are leaving out of. When you say no the sellers leave you alone and don’t bother you further. Definitely haggle but also bare in mind these are peoples livelihoods. It’s a huge market and you can get lost very easily. You could easily spend 3-4 hours there. Go early as the Moroccan people tend to go out later in the afternoon so it’s not as busy in the mornings.

Very busy around the clock, some parts more than others. It definitely has what you are looking for.A traditional shopping place with its ups and downs, definitely not elegant but the entrances were renovated and are more architecturally pleasant. There is a problem with parkings, itineraries, and directions. If you don’t know the place well enough, there is a possibility to get lost or to take longer to find your way back.

You can think all kind of stuff here. I wish it was more local. In may/beginning of June it was less crowded and less loud 👍 you can ask sellers to ship you their products as well.

Huge bazaar. Massive choice of average products at super-inflated prices. Prices displayed at few stalls only. You must haggle. If you like an item, decide what you would like to pay for it before you start a conversation. Do not listen to shopkeepers arguments. If he will not have your price, walk away.

Yes the souk is a must if your in Agadir . The smells and colours are spectacular . We went as a family of 4 . My wife covered up her shoulders for the venture . My children are 6 and 2 . They enjoyed spending there holiday pennys . Down to the haggle ! The price they give you we were going down to a third and meeting somewhere in the middle. Although I pushed it quite a bit to a reply of " you want a camel for the price of a chicken " keep your eyes open as there is as everywhere pickpockets . Keep your money on your front . Enjoy the vibe . Enjoy the butchers section . Thats an eye opener

First experience of Morocco. Bit overwhelming at times with sellers trying to entice you in to their stores. However friendly and all keen to give you samples of their wares! We arrived early so werent ready to eat lunch although the tagines all looked amazing. We were given breaded calamari to try and they wanted us to pose and take photos! ( I had to WhatsApp them to them🤣). The fresh fruit and veg stalls all looked fab as did the olive stall 😍. Had freshly squeezed orange juice for less than £1! Lots of cats and kittens at the market, they appear to be looked after as not timid and piles of cat biscuits and water bowls around. Be prepared to barter!

Great market, bargains to be had, make sure you pay what you want to pay, haggle. There are some that will try to rip you off, the nut man outside gate 10 being one, he charged us 350 for some nuts then also tried to give us the wrong change. but most are just trying to make a living. Expect to pay £20 for a good backpack. You can get the original fakes if thats what your after for around £10 but the quality is not good.

We enjoyed an excellent two-hour visit to the souk with a pleasant haggling experience and minimal hassle throughout. The sellers leave you alone if you ask or say no thank you and there was only one attempted scam that we noticed.Following the warnings a guide had given us when dropping us off in Agadir earlier in the day, we entered with much anxious anticipation, however we neednt have worried as the experience was fairly tame compared to many other places.Do haggle prices down aggressively, one item we paid 200d for from their proposed 1000d, but still think we probably overpaid by 50d. All part of the fun though!
