Clean, BarB Que Restaurant.This one has a drive thru.Food is great, staff polite.Price is reasonable.My favorite bar b q Restaurant.

Service wasnt too good, the food was nothing special and the Mac n cheese was clearly old and had been sitting but the server still served it. Definitely not a place Ill visit again.

The new larger plates. A joke. Nothing largerPoor service food brought to table then said oh my fault you said no sauce. It was covered in sauce. Our garlic bread was cold and not toasted very well.I asked for hot bread. It came to our table after we finished the food we would eat. Brought most home to give away. Used to be good. No longer.

Food was burnt. When the girl walked away in the drive thru and you see the kitchen 🤢🤮ankle deep looking water.. With food floating in it and the cooks wearing rubber boots obviously because its a constant issue 🤮 No excuses thats just nasty!

Ive been here a couple of times when working in the area and have always experienced friendly staff and good food.

The table was sticky.dried up soda awful .ask to wipe off they didnt come back to clean it. We left!!!

Everything was superior to any other BBQ in Palatka! The service was excellent, tea stayed full, server was knowledgeable and very friendly, the food arrived in perfect timing and tasted fantastic!!!! I will recommend this Sonnys to all my friends and family, as well as anyone coming into our city!

Highly recommend the Barbecue Egg Rolls. So good!

Wonderful food. Tried one of the new bowls (chicken,tots and mc n cheese)had bbq instead of the buffalo and it was sooooo yummy. A young lady named Ty was our waitress and she was amazing.

What can I say but AWESOME BBQ.AND OTHER CHOICES. DELICIOUS FOOD GREAT SERVICE. GREAT PLACE TO EAT. THE BRISKET WAS DELICIOUS

Stopped on the way back from St. Augustine. First visit to Sonnys. The waitress gave us menus with some suggestions within 2 minutes. What to order? Everything looks good!We decided on making our own bowls with plenty to choose from. I had pulled pork and brisket with dirty rice and other fixings and sauces.The meat was tender and flavorful. The serving size was generous. I took half home!The beverage is HUGE. I dont think I drank 10% of it.On the way out I saw the platters with 3 types of meat and fixings. Maybe next time!Wish I had room for dessert. The banana pudding looked delicious.We left with a half pound of pulled pork for someone who didnt make the trip.Enough for 2 generous sized sandwiches.I live much closer to a Sonnys and never tried it. I think Ill be visiting there in the near future.

We got take out Tuesday night for a picnic dinner as we were from out of town St Louis dry ribs, chicken dinner, egg rolls etc:the food was fresh even the bread was delicious and soft something we are not used to on take out order. Great job to those folks working that night definitely would go back !!! J.Costa

We got that right before closing and despite that the servers were friendly the food was fresh and hot and it tasted great

Decent BBQ place. Not the best Ive had, but its good when you want some quick and affordable BBQ with the typical sides you would expect.

Flies were buzzing everywhere.... I ordered a pit boss classic an it came back without half of the ingredients because they were out an I wasnt notified during the order, basically I was charged $13.00 for a bowl of beans..

Portions arent what they used to be, but the flavor is amazing and so is the sweet tea! Great work lunch spot!

This BBQ has been here a long time and recently completed a great renovation. The food I s always good and now It offers beer, ale and I think wines.

Had my meal all wrong. The brisket was chopped I ordered sliced ,ordered cornbread was given garlic bread, Mac and cheese looked old and tasted old. Soda was flat . Yucky. The waitress was nice but took 40 min to get out food and another 20 to get ticket to pay Will never eat there again

I ordered online with a pickup time of 630. When I arrived I was greeted and told that my order was not ready. She offered no apology and went to get the drinks made. After waiting an additional 10 mins I received my order and walked back into my car. I decided to check my order before I left and it was missing one of the meals. I walked back into the restaurant and had to flag down the lady that helped me to tell her they were missing one of the items I ordered. Again, no apology and she disappeared in the back for approx 10 min before she returned with the missing meal. The sides were wrong and the food was mediocre, garlic bread dripping in butter. I will definitely pass on Sonys in the future.

Brisket way to expensive to serve Cold. Got sick when I came home. Did not eat the brisket, only ate Cole slaw and potato salad . Never again

I just got home with my order from the drive through and it is totally wrong after I asked them to confirm my order! No excuse, they just lied and took my money.

The last time I ate here was 20 years ago. I was working in the area and swung in to get a great meal.

Decent food, some of the order was wrong but still had a pleasant experience.

Not a good Sonnys to visit. Went on a Saturday early evening it wasnt busy, they were out of a lot of the main items you would want. Nit as tasty as other Sonnys.

First time here. Awesome experience! Our server, Amanda, was friendly and attentive. She suggested the freshly baked cookies for dessert, and they were fantastic! All the food was delicious. This location is so much better than the one in St. Augustine on U.S. 1! When in Palatka, we’ll be back for sure.

Have not eaten here in a couple years and decided to try them today and glad I did, service was great and food was delicious, I got the brisket cheese melt and loved it moist and tender and the tator tots were delicious, will definitely be back

Typical Sonny’s BBQ. Nothing to phone home about but good. Service was a little hit or miss, but it was a new kid so we were understanding. Think he did a good job for being new. The tea was one of the best I’ve had at these sort of places so that’s a good buy. Pulled pork was moist but needed some more smoke if you ask me. Ribs were great. Pull away from bone perfect.

The servers were a little slow but there wasnt a lot of them so e understood. We were given food that was burnt and cold. The experience was fine, the food could have been better. Tea was great

Some Sonnys will let you get a two meat combo plate, this place doesnt. Hence the 4 stars. Still great food, but I thought if you have what the customer wants you give it to them. Wont be back to this restaurant.

The only reason I continue to use Sonny’s in Palatka is because it is closest to my home versus driving to St Augustine. That being said, I have complained before. I was placing blame on the service staff but now realized they are only doing as they are trained. Therefore the management training the servicing by staff need tracing themselves. Obviously no one listens when taking orders. Not only did I call 10 miles away to place my order to be put on hold, to be holding as I walked in to finally place my order. The turkey sandwich lunch I ordered was not a sandwich, but regular turkey plate. The cornbread ordered with second plate was not given, but received garlic bread instead. I placed my order a specific way, for it to be ignored.((No they were not busy. No one in the drive through, and four tables with a couple of people.))This is not the first time being on hold not to receive service. I had called one day from work, on hold 17 minutes only to walk in to the service woman behind the counter to be chatting it up with 3 male customers. When she answered the phone finally, I told her to look at the counter, I had been waiting for 4 minutes.Yes your service needs improvement. LOTS of improvement!!

Went to Sonnys bbq, and had the classic beans and Frank, The garlic bread was great, golden brown cook just right not too hard. The hot dog was nice size and flavorful.Last but not least the Sonnys famous baked beans were awesome💯 as usual flavored with two to three different types of meat, succulent, sweet and tasty. 😊 A great experience I like it so much I only ate part and save some baked beans and a little bite of the hot dog for later.

Great BBQ! My girlfriend and I split the 3 plate combo and got the pulled pork, sliced brisket, and ribs with sides of potato salad and green beans. The meat was well smoked and delicious! I really loved the potato salad and green beans. We tried all 5 of their BBQ sauces and they all had their place. The spicy wasn’t spicy at all so that would be my only critique, but I love spicy so it could be that too. I will absolutely be back.

I am a huge fan of Sonnys baked beans. Probably the best ones Ive ever tastedOn this visit I got the beef brisket plate As always it was goo, the sliced brisket was quite lean every items temperature was goodAnd then there is the sweet tea. Sonnys has the best sweet tea around. I will usually go through 2 and sometimes 3 of those giant glasses of tea . . . absolutely love itTodays server was exceptionally friendly, checked back often to make sure I didnt need anything, and had my to go tea ready in the blink of an eye

I had a big meal deal, a Carolina pulled pork sandwich with a side and a drink. I always enjoy their BBQ. The Carolina has cole slaw on the sandwich and a sweet mustard sauce if you like. My side was a baked potato that wasnt good. When I got home with the meal and opened up the potato outwardly it looked good, cutting into it the inside was brownish grey. I chose not to attempt to eat. It took a moment after that to resume eating. I had a sweet tea that was perfect. My advice would be to open the baked potato before leaving.

I eat here religiously. Worst eggrolls I have ever had from there. The fact they would even serve them is beyond me. Guess thats what happens at the drive thru.

Stopped at and drive-through on our way home from a road trip. I wish I could remember the name of the employee who helped us, she was wonderful. She was so helpful and friendly and accommodating.If I had to make a criticism its that the food took a little while but its Sonnys not McDonalds, so you should expect to wait for great food.

Seated quickly, service quick and on point and food was very good. Our server was very friendly and good. Stopped in after a showcase game at St. John’s River College. Can house teams, but call ahead they have notes on door that they are short staffed

Excellent Food. Excellent Service. I ask if they would slice my pork thin for my sandwich, it was sliced perfect to my liking! To me the little details to take care of a customers request goes a long way! Im glad Im in Palatka for a bit because Im going to enjoy eating at this Sonnys often!

I do not like to complain but this is the 3rd time in a row I had an issue with takeout.There is hardly any meat on the brisket sandwich. In the pic, the fat is on the side and the brisket is side by side none stacked on top of each other. Even with the fat on it didnt fill the bread.We did take out because we are in a hurry to get to a meeting, (I called butIm sorry I cant bring back for a refund or a new order. Just please get it right the first time.$9 for sandwich only and it is not even a complete sandwich. I should check the food before I leave but, I should be able to trust a business to do it correctly.

Had a small problem with food quality for a togo order. The brisket was grease and fat and gristle. And the mac n cheese the same was ....see pic. The person in charge of TOGO did everything in her power to make it right after I brought it all the way back from home. I appreciated that. Second time the food was great!Just a heads up if you are ordering your food togo, check it before you leave and make sure the quality is the same as which would be served in the dining room.

I had the sliced pork. The flavor was outstanding the meat itself was very juicy and tender. I wasnt impressed by the sides, the Mac and cheese I thought was overcooked and the beans probably came from a can. The potato salad on other hand I loved. My server was super friendly and its nice. Also the bathrooms were very clean.

We dont have a sonnys where we live, its been years since Ive been and this location was absolutely wonderful. Friendly staff, fast fresh food, greeted at the door, clean and inviting!

Easily the best BBQ around! We eat it every time we come to Florida and even make special trips to the one in Corbin,KY.
