Solani Park in Mīrānpur

Solani park is just another park in Roorkee. There is nothing exceptional about this park, except that you can spend some quite time in the middle of the nature. When we went there, garbage was scattered all over the place.

Nice place to go in the evening with the kids.

Park isnt a park anymore, seems like ruins of some early place.

Good place for sitting and observing Upper Ganga Canal. One temple is also there, aarti can also be witnessed in the evening. Cool and calm place.

Its unattended, no body tackeing care for this place so its drty inside. Also there was a lock on its gate.

Amazing place for release stress

Solani Aqueduct was constructed by the Britishers in 1846 and epitomises the perfect example of engineering marvel in Uttarakhand. It was considered as the most remarkable brick masonry structure. This is constructed on the Solani River and its river bed contains an average diameter of 0.25 millimetres of sand. Moreover, it has the capability of carrying flood flow of 80,000 cusecs. The reason behind its construction was the inspiration from Alcantara Aqueduct in Portugal.

An engineering marvel. There are two Ganges canal over the dying Solani river. The older canal was constructed way back and still look very nice. Between the two canals, the park is situated which is not maintained at all and hence the place looks more like a jungle. The place is usually deserted and does not look much safe.

Nice place ... On the bank of rever nice location beautiful sunset and sun shine location. Reflections on water give soulful moment its very "MANORAM". BUT SOME LACK OF FACILITIES Like no food shop or other snacks shops.
