Soban Restaurant - Korean restaurant in Dumaguete, Philippines
I love the food and the side diayh they have is soo delicious. I love to come backπ
My partner and I loved everything. π―ππ»
Great, awesome, food, lovely smoke, average beverage. Thumbs up!
For overall experience, it was great. I am having a great time eating together with my relatives. The one that I am concern is that the cut of their pork is too thick that it makes it took so long to cook. Their soup is delicious and their chicken too.
Its just quit busy but everything was good. We enjoy the foods, friendly staff we been there for 3 times because we enjoy it.
The food was okay... but ive had better samgyup in the city..
Might be the best Korean restaurant in the city, still a couple to try. Everything from appetizers to dessert was authentic and offered Korean style which means plenty to nibble on while waiting. The food was spactacularly presented and the flavor matched the presentation. Parking was small, but normal for the area...a non-issue. Will return certainly.
Order ice tea with my meal and still no ice tea after 15minutes. Told another staff near by asking for my ice tea and she bought it in one minute. The other staff finally came back with the ice tea and since she already made it they charged it to my table.
Best korean restaurant in dumaguete!
Just try Korean food in dumatee but not originally from Korean
Friendly staff. The Best Korean Food.
One of the best Korean restaurant in the city ππ»
Amazing Korean BBQ, Very affordable, Amazing staff very friendly!
Great place for unlimited samgyupsal. The sides are great especially the fried chicken and pickles.
The food is awesome. Mouth watering and perfect for my korean food cravings.
Love it here! Perfect for any occasions. They also have the best kimchi in the city π
Food is good and Service was fast. They dont have a lot of choices in terms of flavored meats but the cuts are tender and cooks easily.
I love the place and the staffs are nice and pleasant to customers. Be back for sure.
Soban is one of my favorite places to eat.Very good food and very polite staff.Only downside for me is there is no red horse. π Its a great place all in all.
In my opinion, as far as korean food goes, its good. Youll have a good time if you like it. That said, I havent been to many Korean restaurants
After watching so many K dramas, I just had to go and try this out.Great place with reasonable prices. They give you a lot of food. Side dishes are delicious. Kimchi stew was delicious but a but spicy. Good to eat on a cold day but if course it was hot today.I ordered μΌκ²Ήμ΄ (samgyupsal). I like it that they give you an option on whether I want to grill it myself or if you want it done by them. As I was by myself, I had them cook it for me. They cooked it right there where I could see them so I just took pictures.I also ordered some beef kimbap to go. The beef was delicious but I think it had too much rice.Restaurant had good atmosphere. Restroom is very clean and staff was super friendly.Restaurant is indoor seating only. You take your temperature before coming in. They also had alcohol spray on my table which I appreciated.Overall, it was a great experience.
Excellent food, nice staff
It maybe pricey but is super worth it. Its very good to come here if youre like a group of people or with your family and friends. Food are really awesome, we absolutely enjoy our meal here Everytime , awesome costumer service.
I love this place. They serve korean food with generous side dishes. My fave is osam bulgogi---tender octopus slice and seasoned pork on a hot plate. If not for their problematic wifi connection and not desirable CR, I give this place 4 stars.
Great and healthy Korean food!πππ
Excellent place to indulge in delicious food which stimulates the senses. This place is super cheap for the quantity & quality of food you receive. Absolutely number one restaurant Ive been to in the Philippines. Authentic Korean food. Excellent service & pleasant professional staff.
It was great that they have unlimited side dishes. We ordered their fried chicken and the sweet and spicy noodles stew. The fried chicken was really juicy and delicious. The noodles were not too spicy and it says its good for two people but there were four of us and we couldnt even finish it. We were quite full and satisfied. My issue is that the servers took awhile to give us our orders but I understand because there were a lot of people that night. The place was almost packed. Would come back for more.
Delicious korean food and the ambiance of the place was relaxing, the staff are friendly and quick. The only downside is that it is quite pricey (but somewhat understandable). I would reccomend the Shabu-shabu above any ;)
You get so many extra side dishes here. Was almost full just after tasting everything. The spicy shirm must have been the best part tho. Great service as well, nothing to complain about
Everything is fresh, the soup is very intense spicy.this one is 1200 pesos combo unlimited soup very yummy!and healthy food.
This place is awesome. We have been here several times and has never disappointed us. We have also ordered several different items on the menu. All was excellent.
Good Korean restaurant, little bit pricey but you are getting some free starters. Free pancake was good. It was packed so service was veeery slow, waiters were very friendly and accommodating. You probably should give it a try especially if you like Korean food.
Korean food. also have korea ice cream. The food is good and tasty. Above all, the service of the staff is good.
Soban has been around for a long time and theyre still going strong, in spite of their rather unfortunate location in a run down strip mall along the highway on the outskirts of town.In order to survive in such a location, you must be able to offer something special and unique.Soban offers authentic, traditional Korean food at reasonable prices, and makes the trip out well worth it.The prices for individual dishes might look steep by Dumaguete standards but you get a lot for your money, free appetisers, a pot of tea and ice tea, plus the portions are really big, so its best to come in a group or be prepared to take half of your food back home.Theyre doing nice dumplings and seafood pancakes (a bargain at 200 Php, the price hasnt changed in yearsbut their killer dish is osom bulgogi, which should be called awesome bulgogi, really. Its expensive at 600 something pesos, but while they say its good for 2, it actually feeds 4 easily.Im generally not too impressed with their appetisers (dry pancake, slightly too sweet picklesand the atmosphere not terribly inviting, therefore its only a four star place for me, but for lovers of Korean food, Soban is a must visit while in Dumaguete.
delicious food and kind service
Delicious food at a very reasonable price. Many dishes can be made vegetarian! We spend about 250 p.p.
Varied side dishes. Good ice tea. Friendly staff. Melona products.
So I apparently came to the Philippines to find the best Korean restaurant! π€£Customer service exceeded my expectations after a bit of a wait, but I guess thats too be expected for a Friday night dinner service. I came around 7:45pm. They had unlimited refills on the app dishes and decent Wi-Fi to keep myself entertained. The waitresses were very sweet and offered a complementary drink. I ordered a dumpling soup dish for 320pesos and left so impressed with a 110peso tip.
Good food!!! The tofu is one of my fave..
The Best Korean Restaurant in Dumaguete.Upon entering, they will give you an exquisite tea.And they serve 5-6 dishes (Kimchi, salads: cucumber & eggplant, Peanuts, and othersππPlus Korean Pancake and at the end of your meal is they give you Iced TeaβΊβΊ Thats the Service of SOBAN! ππππ
The Soban Restaurant is a wonderful experience. If you want to take your girl friend to a quiet intimate spot, this isnt the place but if you want superb service with a friendly smile this is the place. Initially the food appears expensive on the menu until you receive 5 appetizers green tea for free and after your meal ice tea again for free. Wow nobody does that! Food is well presented. Restrooms need a work over. Chicken was a little tough but the rest was heaven. The restroom and chicken were what caused it from being a 5. Would i go back? In the blink of an eye. Outstanding job.
It very nice food here and good serve
Good food and very accommodating staff... nice for family and friends get together... one of the few best korean restaurant in Dumaguete City...
Wow amazing! What a discovery here in Dumaguete. Tastes just as good as in Korea! Such a nice surprise to enjoy Korean after a while of Filipino food! Will come back :)
So far, in a city like Dumaguete, their Korean food is deliciously great. A go-to for locals who crave for Korean dishes. Although I havent had the chance of paying what I ate, the food tastes like its worth every single penny.
The food is really good. Like Korean good. Pricey but good to be shared so you can split the bill anyway. Rice is heavy so a cup can be too much. Lots of side dishes. Staff is friendly as well.
authentic korean dining experience! yummy π°π· π°food πππ
One of the best Korean resto here in Dumaguete. They have the most delish Teokbokki in town. Plus, you can add crabticks to your Teokbokki dish.
This place has a great atmosphere. Though the whole area is slightly cramped - especially when packed - it does however have that community feel to it, very typical of Korean and Japanese restaurants. The decor invoke that sense of being in Korea, from the main door to the false windows inside. But the most important aspect of any restaurant is the Food and the service, so lets discuss that. The food is good, very filling, and relatively cheap - averaging 270 pesos or about $6. Typical of Korean dishes, there are plenty of spicy dishes, meat dishes that are lean and you get very involved - grilling the meat, or pouring in the components into the little gas stove each table is given. The service is fine, waitresses are helpful, and courteous, though they can stand to be more conversational - still its a common thing in the Philippines, when people call you sir or maam, do not expect them to be that conversational. All in all going to Soban is an experience that is worth it.
Great customer service! The meal was very entertaining experience as this was our first Korean dining restaurant. Some meals are cooked at the table in front of you! Food was fresh and the number of free appetizers was filling and an opportunity to taste new foods.
