Snow Mountain - Grand Canyon of Chonburi - Tourist attraction in Si Racha, Thailand
Views are pretty spectacular. A cheap yet worthwhile experience. Would give it a higher rating if the way in wasnt in bad condition. But then again, which road in Thailand isnt filled with horrible patch jobs or incorrigible potholes...
Tourists can access by walk not so good condition
The way to get there is a little confused, passing the village, shortening along the alley through the railway.According to the history, it used to be an old mine. The appearance of the rock is similar to the Grand Canyon, USA. During the day the weather may be a bit hot and humidity. However, a shortern walk from the entrance, you will see an amazing view of the rocks, trees, and blue lagoon against the blue sky. However, a long walk to inside there will be a lot of dust white stone.Pay a parking fee of 20 baht. There is a restaurant at the entrance.
Nice to see. But thats all to say.Free to go. But the cafe or someone who works there asks 20 thb for parking 🤔
Long journey from pattaya when you get there you cant get near it safety ropes all around very disappointing
Awesome!!! View was stunning. The sovenier picture seller should consider to sell just the picture without the picture-frames than have them for waste.. Just saying.
Beautiful Photographic spot. You got to be careful walking, this is my third time and the officials have now put up fences for safety measures. Just a short walk on stones , and grass nothing strenuous....but no heels! They have a small coffee shop too.
Look like the abandoned mine hole, route not well organized (full of garbage), there is one spot for photo. No entrance fee and car park 20B.
Its a man made place closer to the railway track. There is no entrance fee. But its far from the chonburi town. Better to take a taxi from grab or bolt apps. The place is photogenic but it is actually not beautiful to explore. A man made canyon for sure. There is limited walking space. You cannot walk around the canyon, there are blockages from some points and it is very dusty.
Quick stop on our way to Pattaya. Great view. The place can get extremely hot. So Id recommend visiting early in the morning or toward the end of the day.
Stop if you pass, if you turn into the first place the parking costs 20 Bath, You can pass and park for free further ahead. and there is a nicer lookout point further ahead however we did not visit it so we do not know if it costs anything
Awesome place, free entrance
quite and pretty impressive. it looks like a mountain lake in Switzerland
Good scenery.
Nice place to visit specially evenings when not hot.
Nice view. Parking fee is 10 baht for motobike.
Its called the GRAND CANYON located in chonburi, close to bangsaen. The view was spectacular. No entrance fee, no need to pay or buy anything you can simply go, but you need to pay for the parking 20 baht (car). It was beside the railway where you could take pictures as well. Just be very careful not to take pictures on the edge because the land doesnt look like strong enough, and theres no safety net, so be very careful.
Nice place for taking some pictures.✅ Parking✅ Food & drink
Amazing view! Worth a visit!
Dont need too much time just took photos and go...
Great view...not difficult to get there but it is very hot. Need to put sunscreen ...
Nice view. There are 2 coffee shops nearby and a small food/drink stall near the entrance. Pay 20 Baht for parking fee. I would recommend you go in the cooler part of the day 8-10am or 4-6pm. But after taking a few snaps, theres nothing else to do here. This is a good stopove in your day tour in Chonburi before you head out to the beach in Bangsaen.
Worth a visit if you happen to be around here for any occasion. This stunning view came up before your eyes just after you walked through the local road construction and a few shops. This is the way far fron what you would expected to see in Chonburi.
Nice place to take photos. Many cafe shops on site.
good place to visit
Great view. I love that water colour. I just wish that i can watch that colour in close.... also it will be great if there is proper view point with safe guard.
A nice place to see when you drive from Bangkok to Pattaya.
Breathtakingly beautiful place.. parking place is available
Breathtaking! Love the shade of abyss and emerald pond. Easy to get as a couple walk from a car park
If you come to Chonburi and have spare time for 15 min. Then, drop by this place is not that bad. In the sunny day you will get the nice shots here.
beautiful place, where you can sit and enjoy this beautiful view without any noise. just the noise of nature and birds. I love it
Grand Canyon in Chonburi is a spectacular view and has a good and quiet atmosphere.Only about 1.5 hours from Bangkok, Chonburi is a totally doable day trip. This beautiful coastline city is about an hour north of Pattaya. It is best to either rent a car, or hire a driver for the day. If you are in the area already, you could just rent a motorbike. This spot is hard to get to and off the beaten path from public transportation hidden, so you will need your own set of wheels or a driver to get you there. There are two parking lots. When you turn left off the main road, just past the train tracks, you will come to two dirt roads, which both claim to lead to the vista. If you take the road on the right, you will come to a large lot, which we think is free. We wouldn’t know because we picked the road on the left. This road leads you up to a small lot run by the locals. They have a shop, a restaurant, and a bathroom. At this lot, there is a 20 baht parking fee. From here, there is no clear signage. Just get out of your car, walk through their shop to the left of the first view of the canyon, and you will find the path around to the best viewing locations. Its panoramic view is perfect for family and friends.
There is very beatiful ,but you need to careful ,its no much safety ,should take care more ,especially children.Dont forget to bring umbrella because sometime there is so hot ,maybe rainy also.
Gorgeous nature, what a pleasure to see it.However there is lots of plastic waste here and there, people who work there should be more strict to visitors.
Went around November. You can still see the green, the blue, and the weather is not too hot.
Very nice, but lacking a restaurant, a photo place of the area and a harmonious arrangement for relaxation
It’s worth for photos, just a short detour from pattaya to bangkok. I’m not sure if this place is a private area as there is not enough safety, there are no real railing. Senior can come but not to walk further to the snow mountain. To go to snow mountain located next to gran canyon. You need to walk to end of the photo area you will see the hand written sign way to snow mountain. NOT recommended for seniors. It’s very hard to walk hilly and rough. Very steep climbing up and down but not high. But if you are young go for it.Go there around 5pm not too hot and with the view of the sunset and train all together. Nice
Great place for photo shoot.Might want to consider coming on not so hot day
Nice view of Thailand Grand Canyon. No entrance fee. Only pay 20 Baht parking fee.
Need to explore to find the "snow mountain" as it is pretty hidden.. But nice spot.
Liked the place.scenic beauty..reaching to snow mountain(actually created by small stoneswas tough but fun..
It is better to come visit the place late in the afternoon .
It is nice looking, nice to take a photo but good stop for a photo though. However, it is very hot and no shade at all. There is 20 baht fee for parking. Not suitable for kids or old people as there is not really enough fences or safety fences
Nice place for tourist. But in Bangladesh have many more place better than it. If you are able to visit khagrachori and bandorbon you can see like and more than like this place.
Wonderful place to visit and make beautiful pictures.Recommend to wear sneakers because sometimes can be slippery and dangerous😊
Great place for visit with family or with beloved ones. Have a great views . Its stunning . Have really great spots for pictures. Recommend bring good wide angle camera here or even bring drone here you will not be disappointed by views.
Abandoned sand mining, good photo spot if you can find the right angle. Little bit struggle to reach there and sometimes it could be hot day
Its is nice to take a picture, good view
Natural small hole. Nice view but a bit dusty when trying to take long exposure shots.
Beautiful and pictureque, but need to clean some garbage on the ground.
