Snow Arena Druskininkai in Marijampolė
Description
Privilege
If you want to learn, its ok
Second time here and thankful for the blessing of having the venue just 320km away from home. We had ski race team weekend camp here ahead of Baltic Cup, so we used only the competitive ice slope, which is very demanding, challenging and fun at he same time. Thanks for the good job. I wish you a million of happy customers. ❤️
MoreThere is lots of snow, lots of fun.
Ski and fun! Well organized.
Not for tourists. Only 1/3 of the slope was available for tourist skiers. And half of that even included snow park. Even worse was that the slope was ungroomed even if we visited quite early. So there was a lot of soft snow and basically there was only one line to ski. Also the Ski B Bar was not open so no where to have a beer and look at the slope. Also had to rent a mandatory helmet because on web site there was no mention off mandatory helmet (well afterwards chenking helmet was noted in the small print of regulations but you really needed to look for it). Overall the slope profile was good and snow quality was good so there would be great potential for very nice tourist attraction. But unfortunatly now it is not serving for tourists. I would recommend only for athlets...
MoreCharge you a full Saturday ticket price but dont tell you that 2/3 of the width of the slope is closed, and snow park lift is also closed. Probably wont travel 5h here again
MoreOnly 1/3 part for not athletes use and slope ungroomed. And also half of that included snow park. So there isnt any room for "just skiiing"
MoreAn unusual scenic place, a beautifully meandering Nemunas. An additional attraction is getting here by cable car over the pine trees and the river. A certain challenge for those who are afraid of heights is to reach the terrace on the openwork terrace :)
MoreSnowboarding when outside is 20+. Great
Slope top & good service area but the prices for the ice, the size of it and the long waiting times for the food at the restaurant are very poor in comparison to the other aspects of the facility.Overall has everything which is needed a good standard.
MoreGuys, everything was nice, just be careful with the small kids when youll climb up to the snow tower, on the top area of it! DO NOT LET kids go alone to the RIGHT side when youll get to the balcony through the last one door! Because theres an area in the fence where are huge gaps where kids can easily go through and then... Fall all the way down :( Hopefully that will be fixed after this review , but when I was there, theres was no one around, no restriction signs and no problem to get to that place . Turn left and youll see stunning views in absolutely safe mode, youll feel like youre on top of Amazon rainforest, I was stunned by that even if thats my own country :I wasnt inside the snow area as I never trust the ski sport... Saw too many broken bones after that :/
MoreVery detail building, but we need more space for skiiiiiiiiiiiiing🥹
We went there on a Wednesday afternoon in July and it wasn’t busy which was great. My 3yr old had a skiing lesson and the coach was super patient with him. They even had clothes and skis to fit him (90cm tall!)Stone-baked pizza’s were superb too.Definitely coming back next time we’re here.
MoreI have only peaked inside but it looks like a well-maintained arena with different winter entertainment options. There is a bar and cafe inside too. Fun place to visit even you dont intend to go skiing!
MoreNice place to spend a couple of hours…
Nice place for those who love to ski or just enjoy the snowThere is snow all season and all over the yearGood slopes for beginners and skilledGood equipment rentalThe service in English is not so good, but some of the staff is trying to helpWhen we where there it wasn’t too crowded and it was greatI suggest to visit when you are in the area
MoreAmazing place to ski all year round! One of the best Lithuanian ski resorts!
Amazing experience, would highly recommend to book instructor if you dont have any experience
MoreTheres 2 levels only, training and extreme. Skiing enthusiast would enjoy visit here.
MoreLooks like good place to have fun. However there are where to improve. They have two zones - for kids and advanced zone. Nothing in the middle. For snowboarders its possible to try at advance one, but for skiing - its death if you come there as a beginner. So better take snowboard.Equipment is quite good, few clothing packets (eco, premium). One more problem - no supervisors. There are instructors, but they are working for their group or person only. So if you fall down and break your leg, only other clients can notice you, as there are no supervising persons on the hill. Also lack if Info boards to check remaining time.
MoreThe place itself is great - nice slopes, lots of place. The only lacking thing is service. If you are coming for the first time it is hard to know where to go and what to do - as nobody explains that. I think this should be improved. The lady at reception could ask if you are visiting for the first time and give some more information. Otherwise looks good.
MoreGreat place to learn to ski and have fun!
The score is based on location its built. To have a ski arena in plain lands as Lithuania is a miracle come true. Its a perfect place for training and learning how to ski. You can also learn tricks in the snow park and they have figures prepared for that.Overall, for non skiing folks, a good half a day to spend to try something new.
MoreIt was fine, however track quality was poor, could be better
150meters snow hill is better then no hill 🎿⛷️
Fantastic what a place amazing bit of engineering 👏
It would have been nice if we had been able to get in. My UK covid pass would not scan on the securitys phone, to be honest the security guy did not make any effort to help and asked me to leave ...super rude!
MoreGood attraction if you can sky its the best option how to spend time here.
At 18:30 they closed the slopes and told us to leave. The resort is open until 19:00 and when we gave the ski gear back a bald man with glasses starts complaining about us being late and that he does not get paid for extra hours. He needs to learn manners and how to talk to the public, really grose behaviour. The slopes were half closed because of some club training there and yhe staff was not helpful at all. What a shame
MoreSkiarena is nice, good and length is it sufficient. The steepness and speed were enought as well. The only downside comes from the skilift which was slow, made a loud noise and was scary.
MoreSnow Arena Druskininkai - The Snow Arena is an indoor ski slope in Druskininkai. It is one of the biggest indoor skiing slopes in the world.
MoreLooks impressive but didnt test it🤔
Generally it is a really nice place which delivers good quality skiing experience, however it is very annoying that they ask you to pay extra for over-spending you time there, even if its just a few minutes (which can easily happen if you forget the exact minute you entered through the gate or if the lifts are stopped a few times more than usual on your last ascend). Not to mention, that those extra 9 minutes will cost you more than half of what 2 extra hours wouldve cost you if you bought a longer pass to begin with.
MoreTerrible experience, long queues, a lot of ice and very thin "snow". We spent more than 1hour just in the queue. Lifts are slow and getting stuck often, it takes about 10-15min for lift to take you up, and about 2-5min is actual skiing. The only good thing was ski school, daughter was very happy with the couch she had.
MoreGreat place to get winter activities in all seasons. Got entirely new clothes and shoes. Snowboard was use but in great shape. Advice :dont be fooled by warmness inside a changing cabins, get second layer on as it gets cold while cabling up the mountain.
MoreI loved this place. Although I do recommend wearing the right equipment as it is quite cold inside. There is a small Hill for beginners and another one for the more proficient skiers/ snowboarders.
MoreReally great place where to learn skiing and snowboarding all year.
Very good place to sky in summer.
Place for indoor skiing with professional instructors for small and big alike. There is indoor playground for kids, but control for kids is too lax, especially when there are big groups of kids there. Nice views from Aerogallery restaurant- worth visiting.
MoreGood place to begin your ski adventure. Cheerful ski instructors. Beautiful view from the top.
MoreOverpriced!!! Not worth the effort, they charge 45 Euro for 1.5 hours, with a descent that takes about 3-5 min!!! Instead of that go to French Alps, if will not be fake place, beautiful view to the mountains and slightly cheaper!
MoreBest resort in Lithuania, reasonable price but overall equipment as a little dated and in quite a poor condition. But other than that loved every moment there.
MoreGreat experience and probably one of the best places to ski indoor! Modern. Not too busy after winter time, would like to say affordable but it has quite steep prices, however its great activity and worth to go remember skills after a while! Also, did not enjoy customer service, cashier did not speak at all, gave options or explained price list, on top of that its not cheap activity so would be lovely to hear advices and prices more in detail. Amazing place but needed to level up basic welcoming customer service!
MoreNon-skiers can enter for 3€ and watch from the arenas balcony or use the bar and kids zone.
MoreWe enjoyed very much the last visit. Winter was over, weather was perfect (sunny and warm ~10Cbut outside track was still working. Inside tracks are good for training as they have faster and slower parts. Equipment was good. In general it is very although not cheap.
MoreNice place if you like winter sport. Unfortunately I found poor service and dangerous icicles. Icicles falling down time after time. But its ok if you like adrenaline, extreme skating or snowboarding.
Moreas good as indoor skiing can be, karting closed due to private function and could not race.
MoreVery interesting place, cut to wonder why here? Looks quite real and people looked to like skiing.
MoreIts ok for beginners but for others its not.. After snowboarding I noticed some kind a black stuff on my board. On the track you can see places not covered with snow. And even snow is not that slippery than outside.
MoreGood place for day out,not too busy. They have few bars so if you feeling thirsty just pop in to one of the bars and they have big selection of drinks. What I didnt like its slow lifts, it takes ages to get you up the hill , but overall all good.
