Will never be staying back at this park again, the manager was very rude and yelled at my 9 year old autistic niece, she also made my 4 year old son cry who wanted an ice cream by grabbing his arm and telling him no, very unprofessional instead of yelling at children why not come speak to the adults about it.I will never recommend this place to anyone it’s a horrible place to stay.

Manager was very unprofessional to my 9 year old daughter that took her cousins to the disco told her that if your in T3 tell the mum of the little boy to look after him your too young laila come back upset and when I went to talk to her about it! It escalated she yelled at my daughter calling her a liar and to tell the truth! I don’t know what 60 year old thinks it’s ok to yell at a 9 year old child standing over her! As a manager my self and having actual qualifications to manage any issues should be bought up with parents not children! Will never be staying in this park again and will never recommend anyone if you don’t want your kids to feel scared and attacked by park managers!

The manager yelled at my Autistic granddaughter and called her a liar. This is very poor professionalism. And to yell at a child who had no reason at all to lie in front of her mother too ….

I stayed at the park this weekend in a Buccaneer cabin. The accommodation exceeded my expectations, it was spacious, clean and the beds were so comfy. The staff were incredibly friendly and had even turned the heater on for me knowing I was arriving late...Ill be back.

Presentaion of unit good .but only supplied one bath towel each .first night TV in main room had no connection but was fixed next day by maintenance. Shower threw out more water from behind the worn out head. Next night we tried to get warm wall heater thermo wasnt working .so we the guests checked out the filters nd found hadnt been cleaned for a long time..this changed dramatically after we cleaned.each filter. our lounge nd bedrooms were then heated .this was late at night. For the $200.00 per night I thought things were a bit lacking on checking the details

This was our big family holiday , we booked to cabins and 2 caravan sites .Cabins were disgraceful, not cleaned properly , ceiling in bathroom mouldy , steps into cabin no railing , steps slippery , there was a large step down from step to ground .I contacted the office a few weeks before by email to find out about holiday programs, the Manager rang and asked why I needed that information as in our cabin we had no children booked , I explained our Son DIL and 3.5 grandchildren would be in next cabin. My partner and I booked in on a Tuesday, the rest of our group arrived on Thursday. Our DIL rang the day before to ask for early check in to be told when she arrived the manager yelled at her and she had not ask ( basically called her a liar). Manager stated they had not told them they had children and charged extra . They made DIL 26 weeks pregnant, Son and 13 , 9 , 7 year wait till after 3pm for check in , stating it had to been cleaned , whilst there for 2 days prior their cabin had not be usedThe facilities were poorly maintained , front desk staff we encountered were rude and arrogant .Over all our grankids enjoyed riding their bikes and activities that were there

My partner and I & our grandson stayed here the last 2 nights & it was very average accommodation for $200 a night. Paper thin walls, a very uncomfortable bed, noisy. We wont book a cabin ever again. The cabin was extremely basic to say the least. The shower you couldnt swing a cat & water went cold after a few minutes. Lots of noisy campers down the back.

I am very disappointed. I booked on the phone and the guy said i need your credit card details for a deposit. Two days later i had to cancel the booking as my daughter become a “close contact”. I was told my $500 was gone because “we are a no refund” park. I told them well this was never explained when the guy took my details of my credit card and how can you just do this.My advice is avoid this place like the plague.Paul

Awful place. We booked a pet friendly cabin that looked nothing like the Bucaneer Pet Friendly cabin shown on the website. The cabin was extremely run down and smelt incredibly bad. The smell of Dettol as we walked in barely covered the vomit smell permeating through the bunk room. The cabin shown on their website has separate bedrooms and a lounge area. In the cabin we were given, the second bedroom provided the only access to the bathroom. The double bed was in the lounge area. There are no block out blinds or curtains on two of the windows in the lounge area so you have no privacy whatsoever. Anyone can look in.No top sheet was supplied for the bed being used in the bunk room.We were advised that the cabin had parking out the front of it - impossible when they have bollards blocking the entrance! Instead we had to park at the back of the cabin and there was no number to indicate the location of the cabin from the back (hence driving around for 15 minutes looking for it). They didnt bother to ask for vaccination records for our dog at reception (which is concerning)Also, they make you wear cheap rubber bands around your wrists to identify that youre a guest at the park - I didnt think this was school camp? And the final straw? We came back from dinner to find someone parked in the parking spot designated for our cabin!!! We had to leave and didnt stay the night.Overall, this place is hideous. Our dog, who is used to sleeping in a sanitary and comfortable environment, didnt even want to stay here. For 165-170 per night, I would justifiably expect better. Very disappointing.

Would not recommend, lady at front desk rude. Its badly managed, old, run down, not clean and very Strick on kids. Water spray everywhere over cubicles out of plumbing pipes/shower heads, when showering and wets cloths. Even from other peoples showers... extremely disappointed...

We have stayed here regularly for the past ten years. Cabins are really becoming run down - ours showing wear and tear. Hole in blind in kitchen, loose plank on balcony, TV screen flickered and images delayed. Our small toaster had lost the tab and then broke completely. - which the office replaced. The smaller pool area had a very worn and tired deck. I purchased a Cornetto from the shop on arriving the cone was stale. Went to Stockland Woolworths and bought fresh mini cornettos. I didnt visit the park shop again or go to Peglegs this year. The staff in Peglegs over the years have looked harassed and unhappy. To top it off the female manager of the park doesnt acknowledge me as a regular visitor. Im sure if she made the time to have a quick chat to her returning customers we would be more willing to overlook the tired accommodation. We left half a day early. Not likely to visit again.

Kids Had a good time although the staff had a go at my 10 year old Daughter who was by herself asking for two new wrist bands for her younger Brother and sister whos broke. The same thing happened to another family within half an hour. Treat kids like kids adults like adults and perhaps get better quality wristbands.

Probably a decent place if you have kids, and if they don’t care about the pools being clean, and if they (and youdon’t need or want sleep.Me? I didn’t enjoy being told it was my fault that the music, the shouting, the swearing and the kids running amok continued til midnight because I didn’t consider inconsiderate residents to be an “emergency”, hence I didn’t call the emergency number. The shouting, swearing and squealing starts again at 7 in the morning.I’ve seen quite a few caravan parks now across Victoria & NSW - this is the only one that turned me into a full Karen. Sadly their rubbish customer service didn’t extend to offering any solution, only blame - I wouldn’t stay here again if it were free. It’s the first place across all of Vic and NSW that I haven’t stayed at least 3 nights - in fact I left after 1 night having not slept, and having decided “screw this” by 8am and started packing up.

So disappointing, after 4mths of hardship we were looking forward to our short getaway.I was contacted weeks before our arrival to discuss our booking where I requested a poolside cabin as when booking there was no options to choose and that seemed to be no problem, only to arrive and be given a cabin that was no where near the pool and not cleaned to standard and a cockroach whilst sleeping. We hired some golf clubs to use whilst there, halfway through our second game we got called over the speakers to return them ~ The sign in the shop states all equipment to be returned by 5pm but they insisted it was only a 1hr hire ~ no where not even the guest book says this. You ruined a much needed weekend away with rudness and snarky attitudes and we will not be returning to smugglers cove.

* Great park with wonderful amenities* large sites - have 23 1/2 ft van and had plenty of room to set up and spread out* friendly staff who are approachable and happy to help (thank you Murray and Shazz)* awesome array of things put on for the kids(and adultsduring the school holidays* well situated on the lake where you can sit on the bank and fish, or put in a boat or canoe to explore Wallis Lake all the way round to Forster.* close to shops, beaches and town* were able to have a fire pit on site (they hire themwhich enhanced the whole camping experienceStayed for over 2 weeks this trip and we are regulars because we love the place and the atmosphere - can’t recommend this place highly enough!

The place is a disgrace. The good reviews must be from family and friends. The staff are rude and the place is money hungry! Do yourself a favour and stay next door or somewhere else. Left early and lost a lot of money.

Booked for one night for 3 adults and 1 canine. Did not stay the night due to: 1. Bad smell in room | 2. In order to get to the bathroom, you had to go through the second bedroom | 3. Did not check our dogs vaccination certificate during check in | 4. Could not park in front of cabin (we were advised during check in that we couldas there was no car access to the front of this particular cabin | 4. Came back from dinner at a local restaurant only to find that our parking spot at the back of the cabin was taken by another vehicle. Nearest parking spot was at least 5 cabins away | 6. Went to ask reception about where to leave the keys on departure but as it was 10 minutes after "closing time" the person behind the counter looked at us in shear horror and stated in a panicked voice, "we are closed". I think he was worried that our request would result in additional work for him | 7. The pet friendly cabin shown on the internet site (which appeared to be of a superior standardwas not the one that was allocated to us | 8. No blinds in front bedroom windows. If you switched the light on at night, people outside the cabin would be able to see into the cabin.

Its a nice spot. But not what it claims. The wifi doesnt work, the pool table broken, the resturant is over priced takeaway food and the staff were frustrated, impolite and in some instances, incompetent.

Apart from the rain that we need elsewhere plenty of eating 🍕and drinking.🥂Smugglers Cove staff very friendly and efficient. Facilities very clean but just a bit tried. The park could do with a revamp.Plenty of trees🌴 and grass around and our van sites close to the river for kyaking. However; they look good sitting on the roof due to the rain⛈☔⛈

My family and I had stayed at Smugglers Cove Holiday park for 3 days and enjoyed it so much we had stayed an additional night. There self contained Cabins were clean and cozy and the park itself have heaps to do in it. They have heaps of entertainment for the kids also with a massive, pool with waterslide, games room and heaps of activities. Also being in the heart of Forster, Stocklands shopping centre is only a five minute walk away, McDonalds, KFC and The Forster Tavern with the best Chinese by far in town. The staff at Smugglers Cove Holiday park were by far, professional with customer service excellence from myself and my family. Thanks again Smugglers Cove Holiday park

Visited a friend who was camping here for the week. Because it was school holidays there were lots fun things for the kids to do throughout the day, I appreciate the idea of a holiday activities program to keep the kids entertained and to let parents relax.I was little surprised to have to pay an entry to visit a friend who was staying there, but I guess they need to discourage too many people from dropping in and taking advantage of their program.

Stayed on a campsite - not a cabin, so comments refer same.Clean and tidy, if a little dated. Stagnant water in creek was a little off putting (and attracted a plethora of mosquitoes as well as being smelly). Swimming pools and playground great for kids. Friendly and helpful staff.

I stayed there with my wife, who is a 11/10 absolute babe, and our 10 month old recently. The park itself was beautiful, but the cabin we stayed in was quite dirty. Anyone with a small child knows how important a clean place is, after 5mins of crawling around in the cabin she was filthy from the dirty floor that probably hasnt been moped since Elvis sang Hound Dog..The most disappointing part of our stay is apon ariving home, some 3hrs away, we noticed we left some of our property in the cabin. For the next 4 days i was on the phone calling and asking if it had been found by the cleaner, we left Sunday morning, i rang again Wednesday morning only to be told the cleaner had just been around to do the cleaning of the cabin. Apparently they couldnt find my items, even after me explaining exactly where it was.. Fair suck of the sav old mate, 4 days and no one has cleaned the room? And for my property that was snapped up by someone, i hope you enjoy it.We will not be going back. Yuck
