Smoothie King in Lynchburg

Sat in line for 15 minutes with only two cars in front of me. After ordering it took an ADDITIONAL 20 minutes for them to bring out two smoothies while I sat in the “short-term” parking spot. Smoothies were good but definitely not worth the time.

The wait was awful. Staff has no idea what they are doing. Definitely seemed like they needed a manager on staff. If there was one, it definitely didn’t seem like it.

Great smoothies, service is hit or miss.

This hands down is the worst smoothie king i have ever been to. I have been to many from NC up to MI. I have never been treated so disrespectfully. Twice this week they screwed up my order, both times they tried saying i was to blame. First they made my choc peanut butter into a choc blueberry and said that was the way i ordered it, i went back threw and the girl said "thats the way i ordered it". Eventually she said "fine, Ill make you another one." With total attitude, then when it was finished she couldnt even give it to me she had another coworker. The second time i ordered a strawberry pineapple, they come to the window, never told me my total scanned my phone when the girl brought me my smoothie she said i have both your smoothies i said i only ordered one, she said you paid for two, i reiterated i only wanted one, she told me she was new amd had to get the manager. At least the new girl was pleasant, the manager (supposed managercame to the window very rudely said "we confirmed with you that you wanted two." I tried explaining i couldnt hear very well with their speaker system and she gave more attitude and said "well i cant give you a refund the best i can do is give you a gift card.". I was on my way to work amd didnt have time to talk to argue, so i took the gift card. First off if you can issue a charge you can issue a refund, second off I know its hard to get good help but come on basic customer service 101. Maybe covid has gotten the best of you and you no longer care about your customers. What i can tell you is i told at least a half dozen coworkers, and they all agreed tropical smoothie is much more customer friendly. After I use my gift card and the money I have on my rewards account i will not be back. And seeing how i spend at least $100 week i can screen shot my account if you want me to prove this claim. Signed 1 of many lost customers. Way to ruin Smoothie King for people

Made me feel stupid for ordering a new smoothie because I didnt know exactly what was in it. I hate bad costumer service ill never spend my money here again!

I dont want anyone to loose there Job . But you all just lost 6 customer the customer service trying to get the smootie made the way I like was very in professional so refuse the smoothie an I will tell people about the bad service I would like to buy from there again buy not because of bad service

First time inside, I simply asked Mary to tell me what I want and that I wanted it to be filling. She inquired about favorite flavors and then recommended the Daily Warrior with cocoa added. PERFECT!Now I know what I will get next time and appreciate the friendly and quick service.

I ordered two smoothies online for pickup, and after waiting in the drive thru line for close to a half hour, an older woman told me at the window they didn’t have my order. When I tried to show my confirmation number, she took my phone without asking to check the number, and did not give it back until she’d confirmed that she couldn’t find my order. When I started to ask clarifying questions to understand what happened, I was abruptly told, “Don’t take an attitude with me”. Rather than refunding my order or making the order again, I was told I’d have to pay for a new order again. After paying for another order to get my dinner, I had to wait in the parking lot for 15 more minutes. A different woman came out, apologized, and gave me a coupon, but still could not refund my original order.While I can understand the challenges being short staffed poses, and I appreciate the coupon, the way I was treated as a customer was inappropriate, rude, and aggressive. I do not plan to return.

Great atmosphere. Glad that there are vegan/lactose free options. However, the smoothie itself, was too sweet to be considered healthy. I did enjoy the Friday $5 special at least.

So I’ve been sitting here for a while I get A smoothie here every week I love it it’s awesome but these last two times have been very iffy I get pushed to a parking spot I wait 15 minutes for a smoothie that has never taken that long to make and when it comes out it’s just call liquid it’s not even a smoothie

Have came here the past 2 days around 8 o’clock knowing they close at 9 and both times I’ve driven 15 mins here they are closed early... why would you post ur winter hours on the drive thru window saying you close at 9 when you obviously aren’t open until then. Very very frustrating and this is the only place to get a good smoothie in town.

Good smoothies are hit and miss. Several times Ive gotten a smoothie and it just tastes like water and a little protein powder, just nasty with a horrible aftertaste. Whats the point in purchasing a smoothie from there if I have to take it home and put it in the blender with enhancements to make it taste good. I got 4 smoothies today and my 10 year old tasted his before I did. He said it tasted like water and additionally said that it certainly doesnt taste like they put dates in it as we asked. I almost went back through the line to ask for a replacement but I was exhausted from a hard week of work and just wanted to go home. Smh. I regularly treat my family to a Friday treat at Smoothie King but I think Ill have to leave them alone. I can make better smoothies at home.

Came with an order for 5 smoothies. Drive thru lady was very rude, rushed through our order. 2 of the drinks were made incorrectly.

Im not sure why Ive always thought that smoothie king had terrible smoothies, but I was pleasantly surprised. Aside from the fact that a lot of their smoothies have added sugar (Ive never understood why anyone would ADD sugar to a smoothiethey do have some options that seem okay for someone on a super restrictive medical diet (like me lol). The only possible issue I could have with it is I ordered a smoothie that shouldnt have had any added sweeteners to it (I checked the ingredientsand it was REALLY sweet. Like, suspiciously sweet. My guess is maybe the juices they use have added sugar and arent actually just fruit juice, which would be on me for not checking first. Just thought Id mention it in case anyone else has to watch out for added sugars/is also a diabetic

I visited this location and had a great experience. My smoothie was delicious and safely waiting for me in a cooler outside (social distancing!). However they went above and beyond when I later ordered a smoothie on the app while out of state. Being several hours away I couldnt pick up my smoothie. The owner personally called me to ensure I got my refund and reward points back. 10/10 would recommend!

Great food, service isnt super fast, but its worth the wait!

Ive been to this location four times and of those, I have twice been asked for a tip. If a server at a sit-down restaurant doesnt ask for tips, its not appropriate for non-tipped (meaning they get paid morecashiers to ask for tips. This last time I asked for my card back because the lady started arguing with me about this practice and she pulled it back out of my hand. Super unprofessional. If Im asked for a tip one more time, I wont be back.

The smoothies are so good! I went there the first time not knowing what to get. The lady behind the counter was so helpful and ended up creating a smoothie that was just right for me! Will definitely be going back!

Was a 10.12$ angel food with peanut butter was the most watered down no flavor but water an my added peanutbutter what a rip off an one the most expensive non mixed drinks Ive bought how this place has any returning customers is a shock.Very unsatisfying to first time customer local of Lynchburg 20+ years

The Smoothies are fantastic here. Such upbeat order takers. Im so thankful for the many yummy selections of Vegan smoothies. Most are not vegan but at least they give us choices galore.

Love the smoothies, but drive through takes quite awhile most days and the staff can be overly pushy with suggestive selling, polite but pushy. I always say and thats all, no additives or anything else and they still sometimes suggest adding yogurt to my smoothie because it "makes it really rich and creamy" same line every time.

I love Caribbean Way! So yummy. Service is pleasant and quick in most cases.

General Smoothie King. The drive thru is very nice. The staff are kind and informative.

Intense and personal service when you walk in, they always have time to talk and make sure your order is just right. Slightly small but they make your order fast and make it right. I used a gift card gifted to me and there were no problems.

I only gave you 4 stars because of menu price. Your customer service deserves 5 stars. But heavens! Your prices!!!

Wasnt feeling coffee so I wanted to try something more nutritious..... YUMMMYYY!!! The lady who took my order was very helpful in trying to find what exactly I wanted.

They seriously make some of the best smoothies Ive had. My go to is the greek yogurt pineapple mango and I am never disappointed.I just have one complaint. Their cups say that theyre trying to help me feel better about my health and the environment by using plastic instead of styrofoam. I want to bring my own cup to feel better about the environment and they "are not allowed to do that." I would give 5 stars if I could bring my own container.Please let us bring our own cups!

This place is pricey. First time and last time stopping there. And on top of that, the lady that took my order failed to tell me what the total was. Didnt find out until I got up to the window. I dont recommend this place to anyone

Hey, guys! Says you are open untill 10pm, but when I went at 9:30pm, you were closed. I would consider changing your hours online so people do not get angry.

Dry expensive compared to a shake somewhere else. But much better tasting made when ordered not sitting in a machine waiting to be served and much healthier. After having a couple times a wk for a few wks Im feeling better and less bloated. Ill cut out other drive thrus so I can come here

Apparently they have a new system that doesnt accept gift cards. Lost the ability to use a 20 dollar gift card. I find this to be unacceptable and down right theft.

Im a regular here. I order the same thing every time (5 dollar FridaysMy last visit my smoothie did not taste right. I went back in and told the lady behind the counter my smoothie didnt taste like usual. I asked if she could remake it. (My smoothie was bitter and nearly undrinkable.She refused, and told me that they dont remake smoothies unless its their mistake. (Which it was, this smoothie never tastes that way, as I always get itnothing but terrible service. Wont be back. They lost a loyal customer.

I order the chocolate Activator and it was delicious. The service was a little slow which is why I didnt give it 5 stars, otherwise great smoothie king spot!

The team member serving me was extremely friendly and helped me make a great selection! She had samples of a muffin cookie available for me to try, and educated me about it. Great service and delicious smootie! Just a bit pricey.

Frequently visited the previous location on simons run road and thoroughly enjoyed the service and the smoothies. The new location is even better with the addition of a drive thru and new smoothies! Employees are always helpful with a suggestion to meet your needs or just to try something new. Smoothie King has the best smoothies in town, hands down!
