Smiles Coffee - Cafe in Masaya, Nicaragua
Love coffee come on over and check out the menu and their hammocks.
Support a good cause and get good food at reasonable prices...why not? Nica and Spanish influenced dishes in a nice setting.
Always helping!
This cafe is also associated with a business that sells hammocks and other craft items made by folks that are deaf or hard of hearing on site in their workshop. Some artwork around as well. Nice spot. We got some nice gifts here. We didnt eat at the Cafe itself.
Richtig süßes Café mit gutem essen, guten Preisen und good value for money.
This place is amazing! A must visit if you have a big heart and like a good coffee.
Agradable. Lo gestionan sordos. Hay fabricación hamacas manual. Es un centro solidario y autogestionado. Felicidades a Tio Antonio y compañia
Good place!!
This a really great café serving good food and an important social cause.
Very good value for money. Tasty food and big portions. Nice space in the shade
Very well priced and delicious food. Furthermore they have collaborated an amazing concept to integrate everyone. I love it here
Its a very special place. Made me smile. I enjoyed the hospitality, the coffe and the beautiful architecture of the place
Such a nice project ! I was there for just a few minutes, unfortunately, but it was really touching
Goodstuff, quiet,
Me fui FELIZ, GRACIAS POR LAS SONRISAS🤗
Great atmosphere and story behind this cafe. Highly recommended
Admittedly I never tried the food, but the hammock workshop was really neat. This is the best place to buy a quality hammock in Granada. The really nice ones (large, colorful and with decorationscan run around $50-75USD.
Fantastic cafe that employs the deaf and helps the community in soooooo many ways. Tio Antonio is there and needs your help to keep this project active. It has been completely self-sufficient for years but after the recent politics and loss in tourism, they are struggling. Come have a great meal and buy a hammock or 10 from their store! Tell your friends. Amazing place!!!!
Great coffee and food!
This place was Awemazing! Hit me in feels. Loved the atmosphere and the people. The ethics of this resturaunt are great!! Definitly come and support thé locals!! The food is good the juices were delicious.
Cause in a good area i like it
This is a must stop for everyone visiting Granada. However, unfortunately, they will soon be leaving Granada and moving to Managua. It’s worth stopping by for breakfast and helping to support local members of the community - most employees in the restaurant are deaf. We also purchased a beautiful hammock, hammock chair and many different kinds of handmade jewelry.
Nice!
Amazing little cafe, but it is way more than that and words are too weak to explain the experience. If you are in Nicaragua just go and live this place. Located in a beautiful colonial age building very close to Parque Central, this is not only a cafe in a popular tourist destination but a true revolutionary social project that gives a voice and a vision to deaf-mute and blind Nicaraguan child. You will have the chance and pleasure to communicate your order to hearing impaired but extremely charming Nicaraguan young adults. You can also see, next to the cafe, these super talented, some visually impaired/blind, workers making amazingly beautiful hamacs I would never be able to make even with extra eyes. We also had the chance of meeting el "Tío" of these kids a charming and friendly Spaniard/Nicaraguan that came on vacation but ended up staying forever in Nicaragua. He truly seems to love these kids and has several other social projects aiming to improve his adopted homeland.
Beautiful place. Friendly service. Pretty good food. The story behind CLS is wonderful- read about it before you go! I also loved that all the decor here is purposeful.
Love this place, because they provide employment to folks with physical limitations. Pineapple shake was delicious.
LOVE IT
Nice and quiet courtyard in the middle of the city. Tasty food and drinks for great prices, 95 Cordoba for the typical Nica plate, 30 Cordoba for home made ice tea.
An experience you have to experience! A perfect locally kitchen, hospitality on high level
Excellent meal, but even better visit with the founder. A terrific experience.
Super chill vibe. Everytime Im here, I stay for like 2 hours on internet.
Great cause, awesome service and experience. Good veggie burritos!!
Everyone should go there, for the association of deaf people and the atmosphere there, the quality of the smoothies, dont wait !
Really nice place, but if you dont like or are allergic to cats or cat urine, stay away! Good food, a little quiet for my taste, but all in all a nice place.
Good jalapeno chicken
This restaurant has great food and the owner has one of the biggest hearts. Ask for him to tell you about his journey and how he helps the disabled children. His employees are all young deaf and disabled and they also make hammocks sold around the world.
The food is just great, the smoothies are awesome, the coffee is tasty and the services is prompt and courteous.
A great place to eat and interact.
Wonderful ambience
Food and drink was ok - nothing special though
the pace is really cheap and has quality local food. it also has a giant hammock where more than 10 people fit in.
Cheap and humble, great atmosphere and smiles.
This place staff are all hearing disabled and they have Good meal options
They do a lot of amazing work. The restaurant has a few good vegan options. Delicious fruit smoothies. Really nice staff.Around 120 Cordoba for a main dish.
Good value and nice experience
This is an amazing community center and project that serves coffee and provides employment opportunities for the deaf and disabled. They have the largest t-shirt and hammock made from plastic bags!
Amazing experience, friendly people, competent service, great food and fun with hammocks
