Slottsfjellsmuseet - Museum in Tønsberg, Norway
A museum worth visiting. We came as tourists, in a camping car, we bought a parking ticket.Unfortunately, it turned out that the car was not in the designated lines, so we got a fine. In response to the appeal against the fine, we received a photo of our car and a photo of an empty parking lot (I do not know when the latter was taken), unfortunately attempts to explain that the camper van is too big to park across and that we parked in the area from which someone had previously left without the mandate had no effect. The fine paid, the visit to the museum took place, I warn all tourists against parking in this place because the Texas Ranger parking lot is waiting to issue a ticket for no reason ..
Ein kleines aber feines Museum. Verschiedene kulturhistorische Zeiten und Traditionen werden angeschnitten. Leider sind die Infotafeln etwas ungeschickt angebracht. Teilweise fehlen die englischen Übersetzungen. 10€ pro Erwachsener. Ermäßigung bei Schwerbehinderung liegt bei 7€.(Translated by Google)A small but fine museum. Sehr kleines aber nett gemachtes Museum. Kleine Ausstellung um ein Wikingerschiff. Die Halle mit den Walskeletten ist beeindruckend.(Translated by Google)Very small but nicely made museum. Small exhibition about a Viking ship. The hall with the whale skeletons is impressive.
Schön gemacht.(Translated by Google)Nice museum, the observation tower is included in the price, but only until August 31st. climbable. The whale skeletons and the ship are the highlight. Nicely done.
Kids enjoyed the museum and the tower.
A great museum about the history of norway. The surrounding park and builings offer much to experience and a great view of tønsberg.
Das nächste Mal nehmen wir uns mehr Zeit dafür!(Translated by Google)Interesting small city museum with different themes, fragments of a Viking ship, traditional clothing and more. The museum offers direct access to the city park with the castle ruins and a beautiful view over the city of Tonsberg. The nice lady was able to tell many details about the old building from the construction to the use. Next time well take more time for it!
Flott utstilling med flotte efekter
Serviceinnstilt personale.Fin utstilling og nydelig kaffe.Stive priser i suvernir butikken.
Cool gemacht und interessant aufgebaut. Nicht sehr groß , angenehm.Die Stadt lohnt sich nicht.(Translated by Google)Cool and interesting structure. Not very big , pleasant. The city is not worth it.
Fascinating museum
Lots to see and spark the imagination.
Quality museum on all kinds of topics (history of the area, vikings, whales, religion). Impressive displays.
The coolest part of this museum was the whale exhibit. There was a lot of information on the Norwegian civil war. There was also a lot of religious exhibits that were "meh"
Interesting parts of Norwegian an Viking history
A rich and well presented collection, though oddly unfocussed.Still well worth a visit!
VeryGood
A lot to see
Veldig fint museum.
Great and interesting. Guided tour not adapted for small children
Mulighet for bespisning. Inngang til Tønsbergs beste turområde.
We started in the WW2 exhibition was a bit disappointing. It was pretty much just some posters on the walls and there were no explanations for the items displayed. Viking exhibition was more interesting but quite small. We had expected more considering the areas history. The city history section was very interesting though and well made but after a while we felt like there was too much to read and an overload of information despite the interesting topics. The whaling section was also an interesting part and probably the church history would have been as well but at this time we were already so full of information that we skipped it quickly.Less text - more interaction and display.
Veldig bra
Annbefaler alle å ta en tur innom her. 2.
Nice and interesting place. Not so big, orientated probably for kids, because a lot of entertaining things. Room with whales fantastic!
Well preserved ancient stuffs
A sign from the station would have been of help
Ciekawe miejsce w ktorym mozemy zaznajomic sie z wikingami. Dobrze opisana historia jej znalezienia i innych w okolicy. Poza tym dosc rozbudowana wystwa o historii wikingow i Norwegii. Tradycyjnei cos o polowach wielorybow. To warto zobaczyc i zastanowic sie jak ludzie wyniszczyli te piekne zwierzeta.Z sezonowych wystaw akurat byly dwie: o historii chrzescijanstwa w Norwegii i o II Wojnie Swiatowej.
I was a bit disappointed by this museum. It was kind of pricy for such a little museum. We spent about 10 minute looking through the entire collection. The only reason it was kind of worth the price was to climb the tower and see the city from a high vantage point.
Wonderful museum, with artifacts presented very well. Helpful staff and a lovely outdoor area.
A wonderful place to visit. Old Viking ships and horse drawn carriages all made well over one thousand years ago.
On a business meeting here. Nice artefacts.
Fint museum. Mye spennende, men mye å lese. Ikke så mye å se på. Også er det tilrettelagt for barn.
A very nice museum, the best part are the whale skeletons which are amazing. The museum also has items on whaling, the Second World War and Vikings
Museum is not very big but most of the exhibition is modern. I like the layout but the exhibition is largely text that you have to read.
Totally immersive journey through Viking history, whaling and the early township.
Nice
Great whaling museum. I would have liked it even more if most of the historical part didnt have to be fully read, I think a more interactive design would be beneficial. However, it was a really insightful museum.
Really good exebitions. Good for kids. Norways biggest blue whale sceleton.
Veldig koselig sted for store og for små. Her får man masse lokal historie samt store oppdagelser gjort her i Vestfold og artig læring for barna.
Friendly helpful staff, good exhibitions. Worth stopping by.
