Rue du Damier 23, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgium, Puurs
A 5-minute walk from Rogier subway station, this simple hostel is a 15-minute walk from the iconic Manneken Pis statue in the city center, and 2 km from the Royal Palace of Brussels.No-frills dorms offer free Wi-Fi, bed linen and private bathrooms. Private rooms feature flat-screen TVs and minifridges, while family rooms have additional beds.Complimentary perks include walking tours, and continental breakfast served in a relaxed breakfast area or on a terrace. There's also a bar and a game room. Bike rentals are available.
Location is very good, close to main train and bus stop. Walking distance 1.1 km max. Rooms are good. But the lock of our washroom was broken. Internet connection is worst. 1.9 Mbps was my max speed. Breakfast was good with multiple options.
one of the best hostels i’ve been. the building is clean, modern, and centrally located.
Perfect for spending a few days and visit Brussels. Nice breakfast 🥞
The place is ok. I just think the personal is pretty unkind. In my opinion, they are overwhelmed with the amount of people they have to deal with. The result is that wired, cold and SOMETIMES sort of unpolite way to treat visitors. Also very clean, in my experience.
Very nice and payable hostel! Very friendly people sitting at the desk, always ready to help!
2 nights in twin "star room". Excellent location. Not too sound proof, but was ok. Breakfast is good.
Long check-in cue and only one receptionist helping.Very simple breakfast compared to other options in Brussels, terrible scrambled eggs and cafeteria was too crowded.Towels had stains that seemed very dirty all over it, making us question overall cleanliness.Even though there is a baggage locker 24/7, staff advises you there is no camera or control over your belongings, so you can leave bags there at your own risk, which is a shame for something so simple. Giving people some sticker with bag number would solve it and make clients happier.
You are not allowed to be in the room from 11 am to 3 pm so that they can clean it!Overall, this place is not very social. The common areas are not really comfortable to hang out. Would not recommend for solo travelers. The room was not very clean and the bunk beds lack privacy. They could at least install some curtains. This would help with privacy as well as with light that some people turn on in the middle of the night without turning it off again.
Good breakfast, hot showers and ventilation. Just be aware, between 11-15h no access to your hostel rooms due to cleaning
Great place to stay, clean, reasonable price with breakfast included and well located in Brussels
A great place to stay. Nice all around. I’d like the room to be with brighter lighting, though. I was unfortunate with roommates but it should be good if you get a private room. Breakfast is good as well. Location is fine for me.
Ive been to several hostels in different big cities now (Paris and Londonbut this one was particularly great in comparison. The bathroom is enclosed in the room, it was clean, the rooms were big and the bed comfy. The employees were friendly and the waiting area was also great before I went up to my room. I cant complain about anything considering how cheap but central it is.
- Great, clean, convenient, wonderful staff –be advised of the lockout timeWe spent one night at Sleep Well, because we were meetingour friends in Switzerland, and could not stay in Brussels long. It was a greatstay. The young people working the front desk were very professional, friendlyand helpful. The hotel has a common luggage room, where one can storetheir suitcases, and also they have different size lockers that one can usebased on availability; one also needs a lock for it, which can be purchased fora very reasonable price of 2.5 Euro, or bring your own. We utilized both ofthese amenities fully, while walking around the city before check in and afterthe check out the next day. With the regular booking, which is also very reasonable, there is a lockout period between 11 am and 3 pm, when guests are not allowedin their rooms. If you are aware of this rule, it is not even an inconvenience;one can be hanging out around the city or have lunch during that time. If youreturn to the hostel before lockout is completed, there is a lot of comfortablesitting space, where one can wait to get into the room. The rooms are very clean and modern. There are ample outletsstrategically located around the room to accommodate all the charging devices, and we have at least three for each person. The Wi-Fi was good and reliable, the beds comfortable and the bathroom amenities great. We had a triple roomwith a private bath. My husband and I moved the two twin beds together to havea little more space in the room.Breakfast was included, and was served from 7 am until 10am. It got VERY busy close to 10. They had fresh bread, cold cuts, yogurt, salad, eggs and some breakfast meat, as well as tea, coffee and juice. It was avery decent spread for a free breakfast. The hostel is centrally located. We were able to quicklywalk to the center and all the attractions. It was a quiet neighborhood.Overall, very happy with our stay!
I would not recommend for solo travellers as it’s not very social. Not allowed in the room from 11-3pm and there is no lockers in the room to store your bags. There is 10 lockers downstairs but always in use. Breakfast included which is nice and is good. Rooms are just okay and location is good.
Great reception staff, swift check in.The location was great, and was close to shops and various stations. The lift, whilst dated, was appreciated for getting to our room on the top floor. We chose a private room with an en suite. The room (at first impressionswas good, however, we quickly discovered numerous issues. The showerhead didnt stay in the holder, the TV remote wasnt even for the TV in the room (and wasnt even for the same brand), the walls were "well used", by suitcases. There was a hole in the wall, where it looked like there once was air conditioning, which was definitely not present. A fan was however provided (and greatly appreciated). If you leave your window open, you will often be reminded of the fact that the location of the hostel is near a large multi-storey car park. Car horns are frequent.Breakfast was free, which was nice, however if youre vegetarian, youd probably be very limited. If youre vegan, they probably wont have anything suitable unfortunately. The reception staff allow you to store bags after check in, in a secure, locked room, which was great for spending some time in Brussels before getting the train back out.
Got to my room and saw bed bugs crawling on the pillows, they switched my room but the next day they said they would clean the clothes that were contaminated by the bedbugs and I went back hours later to get them and they hadn’t cleaned them and the receptionist was not helpful at all.
I came here for a business trip. I decided to come one day earlier and pay extra night. My company created the reservation for the extra night, the rest was covered by the hosting company. Two days prior my reservation of two single rooms, I wrote them an email if it is possible to have the same rooms for the following reservation. No reply at all.Upon my arrival, I was told that they are overbooked. As a former receptionist, I tried the usual - ask for the same category hotel rooms somewhere else, free breakfast/lunchbox when needed. I only got an arrogant approach of the receptionist. She didnt have a single clue about her job. She offered me and my colleague one twin room, with a comment "You are two guys, you will make it". They also dont know about the email I wrote. After few minutes arguing about the benefits I want due to their mistake, and as we didnt have time to spend here more, we agreed we will take the twin room for the first night. The price was 73€, but she tried to charge me the same price as for two single rooms, I had to point out at the pricelist. She refused any proposed compensation as my reservation was not kept. When I asked to provide me a contact to her manager, she gave me a number to a lady responsible for group reservations, not her boss.In the evening, there was another receptionist and finally I could have a little word with him. At least he obtained us the lunchboxes instead of breakfast. But this was the only compensation we got for not having our two single rooms and refusing to move us to another hotel.Needless to say, instead of rewriting things from my ID or using the digital scanner, the receptionist made two photocopies of my ID without further explanation.
The shared room I stayed in was nice and spacious however didnt provide much storage room. They were cleaned every day. The staff were very friendly and spoke many languages. The hostel is in a great location with nearby metro links and one of Brussels main train stations near by. Its only a 10 minute walk into the main part of the city.A free breakfast is provided in the form of bread, hams, cheese, eggs etc.I would say the only downside of this hostel is with having a lockout.
The location is great! It is close to the center and walking distance to the metro station, a shopping mall and some attractions. We stayed in a private room and it was good, the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also clean, modern and well maintained. The only issues were the lines during breakfast, how crowded the room got after a while and the fact that some people couldnt get a table so they stood up with holding their trays close to people sitting down. In general it was a good experience, and one of the lowest prices we could find with a decent rating (+4.0 stars). Would stay here again.
It was an amazing visit, hostel have a great location, breakfast are delicious and this have different options. Have bar, computers, place for play with others, elevator.I thought that it was different but i recommend that you visit this place, it is a place clean( room havent air condition)
Rooms are fancy but the washrooms are in the bedrooms so if you do your business the smell will be all over the place. Some people go at night and its disgusting. No free food. The location is far away. The hostel is full of teenagers. The lockers are tiny and the lock you need to use is super small. So make sure to bring a useless lock that can be broken with a single push. Make sure to take all the valuables with you and never in the locker.
Very central, clean, nice rooms. Good for company events as well
the best thing i like about them is even one guy didnt know english very well, he didnt give up he tried to communicate with us as much as possible and second one is their location its walking distance to one of major metro station of brussel and every attraction like grand palace and museums.
Best staff. The hygiene level of the place is top notch. Really enjoyed the stay and yeah please have the delicious breakfast they serve. It’s really worth each penny. Will sure come back
Cheap, clean and fairly basic, does the job. No hand soap in the in-room toilets though.
Well tidy and clean room. The problem was people is not able to reach the 6th floor with the stairs, the elevator only works with the room card and we only got one card for two.
Terrible service! It was mid might and I already set up my belongings and was laying on bed to sleep, suddenly a staff named Santiago knocked my door and asked me for the passport and told me to move to another room because that room was for others. No sincere apology, no careful explanation, he told me that I HAVE TO move to another room! And even when I complained about his attitude, he still kept his attitude and didnt say sorry and told me just complain to the manager. How rude and unprofessional the service is!
This is the worst hostel in whole Bruxelles. The personal is very unfriendly and aggressive. Everything is dirty. You can absolutely not sleep in the beds. Instead of cleaning the rooms, the maids steal expensive things and money.
There is no real commun area, so meeting people is hard. I came from the north station in the night and somehow took the back exit I believe. It felt really sketchy.I had lot of older people in the room (all crazy snorring). With a second reservation I had to check out instead of putting my reservation together. Location otherwise good really close to the city center. 2 showers in the doorms and seperate toilet. Good and big breakfast
Affordably priced accommodation that has a great location in the city and offers free breakfast. My roommates were polite and friendly. I had an enjoyable experience.
Location was the best, cant be better. Very close to city center and quite far from noise. The self-service breakfast was really good, however, it was tasteless... The cleaning of shared toilets could be better, it is quite smelly... also it would be good to put hand sanitizer in hallways. But all in all, I recommend it!
Very nice clean facilities and variety of breakfast options. The receptionist however was not welcoming at all when checking in and out.
Decent hotel for this price and friendly stuff but the breakfast would have been better. Not the quantity but the quality. Tomatoes was probably from last year :(
The best hotel in Brussels. I recommend booking. It doesnt cost much. Great breakfast, open buffet in the morning The hosts are very nice The hostels are good and nice I got to know a lot of people there and it was a very nice experience It provides everything for you that I would recommend It is located in the middle of the market
Very well located, in the center of Brussels and easy to find. Staff was really kind and helpful, rooms and halls are perfectly clean. Overall a nice place to stay while in Brussels.
I have stayed in this hostel for one night and it was beyond my expectation. It was my first experience of being in a hostel and I was worried when I was booking this, but after my stay I really enjoy booking it. I have booked a bed in a three person(only for femaleroom. The room was clean, cozy, modern and very convenient. My bed was so comfortable and I slept pretty well that night. The breakfast was also so good. The location of this hostel is good and very near to center and Train station
Nice budget accommodation close to Brussels Central. Its about 1km from the station and you can easily walk there. Its well worth for the money you spend. They have hostel facilities as well as separate rooms. A good breakfast was included in the price. Service was really good. They have a separate luggage room where you can keep your belonging before checking and after checkout. Great value for money.
Good stay! We had one of the private rooms and yes, they are strict on not letting you in until 3pm. The free breakfast was great! Room is small but comfortable. Location is just a short walk to the city center and the train station.
We went there for a school trip and everything was kind of a mess. First of all we didn’t get the rooms we were promised and when we put our stuff in our rooms we were shook. We found hair of stranger in our beds, the floor and the shelves were dusty, hair in our sink and mold inside of the shower. Unfortunately the hostel doesn’t provide towels, which is unpleasant. I have to say that the people were really nice and the prices cheap to the one star is for them!!!
Its perfect for me. Especially loved the room choices we have. Usually I prefer to stay alone and there its possible as well. Rooms are really comfy and, what I loved, really minimalistic. Next time hanging out in a mixed room.
I was here for a long time. Lovely and very friendly receptionists and staffs. Clean and calm environment. Loved it. I was there for almost a month and they would leave sugar for me cause I always need extra sugar for my coffee which was really sweet of them. Has a common area where you can work in a tranquil atmosphere. And small garden area. And the entire vicinity was kept clean not just the rooms. Totally recommended it.
It was a really best choice to stay in this hotel after a long tiring hours trip. Their room is simple but clean and just have enough space to rest and sleep well. I wanted to point out what makes it a best place to stay when visiting Brussels is that, the staffs are so welcoming, kind, attentive to our needs, and they really made our stay convenient and comfortable. PS! The free coffee which serves from around 6 to 10 AM was also among the tasty and aromatic coffee I had so far! 🤩
Very good value for our money. The place saves where they can (towel for €1), but I personally didnt mind. It is clean, the furniture is good, location is excellent and the staff is helpful and kind. Recommended
Very budget friendly accommodation. Price for 3 person was as fraction i.e. 60 EUR including simple english breakfast, if you are using hostel for the first time dont keep high hopes of a feel like a hotel. Nearby to central station brussels. Dont forget to carry your padlock to store luggage before your check in or after your checkout your !!
It is a pretty clean hostel with large, not too dense rooms. The bathroom was enough big and clean. The beds are not the most comfortable, and you dont even have a curtain. Thats a petty. The service was alright, but nothing special. I could not try the breakfast.
This was my first time in a hostel, so I dont really know to what I can compare it to, however, I was overall satisfied. The room was clean and spacious, bathroom was separate from the toilet. We also had breakfast included, not the best, but good quality. The hostel is located in the city centre, really close to metro station, so Id recommend if youre on a budget.
A great hostel with a modern ambient but a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere! It is a youth hostel but they have different type of accommodation so the profile of guests is truly various, from backpackers to families with small children. The room was spacious and tidy. There is a lounge area on the ground floor with a lot of cozy places to sit down and have a drink from the bar. There is also a separated lounge area where you can sit to work on your laptop if you need it. Breakfast was good and there were quite some choices of food. Overall, definitely recommend!
Its pretty good. Rooms are a bit noisy and you can hear anything in the corridor. The breakfast is nice, game cheese eggs cereals bread and serves on the first floor from 7 to 10 each day.Location is good.Rooms and clean and are relatively bare but lots of plugs which is godHave thing to do on the fmground floor such as computers ping pong and books
Receptionist are friendly. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. However they only have drawers to lock your valuables in, no lockers for your luggage even though room was big enough for it. Pretty good breakfast range compared to other hostels. Also they try to be eco friendly so that was nice.Note: of the 4 windows in the dorm, only one would open. The drawer for one of the beds were broken and my drawer was very hard to open and close. Vending machine was out of order. There didnt seem to be any cutlery or crockery in the kitchen?
The location is perfect because it is close to almost everything only by walking. BIG BUT: The room was only ok because it looks better on the pictures. The towels they gave us didnt look or smelled so good. The bed sheets were with dust and the breakfast which it is included on the price, personally, I think it did not look so good in terms of cleanliness. On the hallway next to the elevator there were dirty dishes and glasses next to a window and no one came to pick it up during the two days we were there. I guess the building is kind of old and has been recently renovated but the cleanliness must be really important even it is the oldest building.
