Excellent place to get comfort food at current market prices.They offer very good traditional Greek fare as well as the usual diner American selections. No matter who waits on you they are always friendly and efficient.

This was far the worst experience I have ever encountered with this restaurant. The managers wife was condescending and just as unprofessional as the rude waitress that came to our table while our waitress Millie was taking our order by showing pictures of her family. It was unprofessional and rude and the response after being told to move was worst and I had to snap back 😒.. I will never come back and asking people that knows me to stay away. You want to serve the black community your food but at the same time you allow your waitress from your country to treat them badly and disrespectful and its ok.. NO ITS NOT OK... but Thanks to Patricia and Ms. Millie for their outstanding service.

Great place good drinks and awesome people, will definitely visit again. NATHAN sure do know how to make a long island ICETEA.

The food was pretty okay! The house dressing was really good. It was convenient for us with multiple children. One wanted breakfast, one wanted spaghetti and the youngest a sandwich. Lots to choose from and they loved it. My burger was okay, service was great. We would still come again.

It is so dirty, probably made in the 80s with some nasty pink popcorn wallpaper that has other peoples food resudue on it, sticky tables, uncooked food, and dirty plates and silverware, very expensive and the seats were horribly dirty, the cash register was ancient and it had expired sauce from the 80s for sale even though it was fuzzy, they dont refill the ketchup bottles, and it was very expensive for little food, very messy and greasy, the sauce has a uncooked egg in it, the waiters sit in the resteraunt next to us wrapping up silverware while eating the food.I dont even know how it is still open.DO NOT GO HERE

It was ok. Make sure whoever is taking your order is really paying attention. Ours seemed to be preoccupied with other things the entire time and walk off mid sentence 🤷🏿‍♂️. She forgot my blue berries for my waffle....I still want them..

Typical fair but above average. Salads, sandwiches, some Greek and Italian and daily plate specials. Free bowl of soup of the day with your meal and generous portions. Triple decker club is one of my favorites. If you leave here hungry its not theyre fault!

The soup was good and baked chicken and service was good but we didnt like Philly Steak Sandwich! Iiked the soup best the fries werent done !

I have eaten at Shyline for years and never a disappointment. Always fresh lip smacking good. Ill continue to share my appetite with this wonderful kind service and generics protons

Food was good and ready very quickly. Service was great, I got my food to go.

Nice and attentive staff. The menu is all over the place and yet everything is good. I liked the spaghetti. This place is without pretense. Just relax and enjoy it. And its 24 hours. If you get stuck at the airport, this place isnt too far to reach by cab/carshare and its a good option if youre in one of the nearby hotels. They also have some good photos of wrestling greats.

I was looking for salmon cakes and this establishment came up in my search feed. Based of the reviews, I decided go give them a try. Unfortunately, the salon cakes werent all that impressive. Lacked seasoning of any kind. Also grabbed the steam cabbage which seemed to have the same problem. I gave 2 stars because the cornbread was sweet and the woman who rang me out, was very nice and professional

The food was excellent! The waitress was so helpful with my decision on food choices for me and my three children! I will definitely go back when we return to Charlotte!

Havent been able to eat here in a long time since the change of hours but used to love to go there, especially for a late night/early morning breakfast

Food was just ok but the server was absolutely terrible. We had to track her down for drinks & the other servers just watched as we waited. We spent alot of money there but it wasnt really worth it.

About two weeks ago, I visited Skyland with my cousin and I had a disappointing encounter with the owner, Jimmy. I have been a patron of this establishment for almost 20 years. Were Charlotte Natives, so others in my family have been customers of Skyland for years as well. But, I doubt very seriously that I will return. During my last visit, I noticed there were a few gentleman dining in who appeared to be notable in the Greek community. Several customers entering greeted them and their interactions were extremely jovial. I enjoyed observing the comradery between them.After our meal we went to the register to pay for our food. Jimmy was there. The waitress, who was assisting the gentlemen I mentioned earlier, approached Jimmy with a $50 bill. Although the waitress and Jimmy spoke Greek, I was able to gather the context of the conversation. One of the men at the table wanted to pay for our meal. Jimmy became aggressive and refused to take it. After the waitress retreated, one of the men approached with the money in his hand and tried to give it to Jimmy. Again, the two were speaking Greek, but the customers intention was clear. He stressed that he wanted to pay for our meal. Jimmy, at this point, already had my debit card- and his communication with the customer was stern and forceful. He refused to take the money, processed my debit transaction and threw my card on the counter. I looked at the customer and thanked him for his kindness. He appeared to be defeated and slightly downtrodden after talking to Jimmy and he walked away.I’m not confrontational and will usually allow things to play out, but I couldn’t help but wonder if Jimmy’s contemptuous behavior was that way because I’m a little Black girl. I didn’t ask Jimmy for clarity on his behavior, but his insolence and abrasiveness left a bad taste in my mouth.

Landmark diner where you can get breakfast any time of day. Attentive service, delicious food. Marinated steak strips were awesome. Decor is in need of updating, but the food is comfort food at its homemade best

Avoid this place. Thus is the second time here and I cant find a single redeeming quality that keeps them in business.The food quality and execution has been bad both times weve been here. I ordered a Greek omelet and it was basically a fried scrambled egg disk. no feta, hardly any tomato, and there were potatoes in it for some reason. The coffee is awful and weak, their syrup is noticeably cheap and weird tasting.... the hash browns were under cooked last time I was here my pancakes came to the table twice still raw in the middle. it isnt even that cheap. Run, dont walk, away from here.

Wow!! Im. Surprise this place is still open. Walked In, I believe it was colder Inside than out. My Glass of water had dried up grits and Debris on it. Silverware was dirt with leftover food on it, plates came out hot but it was so cold in the restaurant that my grits got stiff in 5 minutes. Table and window seals were very dirty. I barely ate my food. I wont be back. I could tell they were short staff so I didnt ask the waitress for anything else. I just hope they get some help and clean up that restaurant, it was Filthy. 🤢

During a busy Sunday Morning of Football (Panthers)game day, we were seated promptly, and ordered. The portions were more than gracious, the food was excellent and the pricing was so awesome. My family loved the atmosphere and will be sure to visit again when we return to N. Carolina from Florida ❤

We have eaten here for many many years. The breakfast is always good but service has gotten bad with some of the flaky waitresses. The Greek owner parades around like he is some great king and is not pleasant to his customers or staff. The Greek lady at checkout isn’t hospitable at all and acts as if she is giving us a special The sign on their front door says, Dine service by being there for us. There are plenty more breakfast restaurants that are much more pleasant than this one. Stay away if you want to be around pleasant people who appreciate your patronage. The sign on the door says Dine zin Now Open. They never were closed and never practiced Covid guidelines. The owners are not vaccinated and don’t plan to be. Beware!!!!

Excellent food variety. Nice atmosphere. Our waitress was a bit impatient but she took good care of us. And the person at the front was such a sweet person!! If we lived closer we would definitely go back!

Had a great experience for our first time. The service and the servers are excellent! They catered to our every request with a smile. Our food order was correct, piping hot and it didnt take a long time to come out. I would def try this place again.

Great Greek diner hidden away off a main road, this gem is worth visiting. Having experienced similar quality with Greek diners in Chicago, Im certain the food quality and not the decor is what your visit is all about. So please take time out to visit. I know it will be worth your while.

The food here is very good. This restaurant is quite affordable for the prices charged. Some form of Breakfast is served all day, although the menu is understandably more limited later in the day. Refreshingly, ordering food here online (Doordash, Grubhub, etc.is very easy. The menu has very few inconveniences. I have enjoyed this restaurant for 21 years. When my parents were alive, we would eat here every Sunday. Their signature Philly Cheesesteak Sub is better than many restaurants that specialize in Philly style subs! Their banana pudding is excellent!

My family snd I came here to eat and everyone was so friendly and the food was PERFECT !! Loved it ! My husband is a chef and this is the first time someone has cooked his eggs perfectly! Highly recommend going here ! Fast service as well !

I have been coming here for over 20 years. For the past 3 years or so, the quality of food has diminished greatly. Today I ordered the turkey, dressing and gravy special. I tasted it and there was a funky taste to the gravy (which was covering everything). I was disgusted. I called the restaurant and agreed to bring it back. I asked for a refund instead of them replacing it. The older lady (who has worked there for yearshad the nastiest attitude. When I was walking out, she tells me not to come back. Trust me I won’t! I have supported this restaurant for years, even thru the robbery that happened there at gunpoint not long ago. I will never return here. Eat here at your own risk!

I would have given it five stars but I felt like the waitress service could have been a little better. When we first got there it took them all of 15 minutes to come ask us our drink orders and by then we were already ready to order our food so we put them all in at once and I felt like we kept having to remind the lady about everything we wanted and I understand there were other people in there but other people were getting better service. Either way the food was good and I would definitely return and pray that the service is a little better.

Salmon patties were awesome and the service was fantastic. The waitress never let my coffee cup go empty.

Two tired and hungry skydivers walk into a place called Skyland Diner... and wow!! Its a quiet place, lots of seating. Cathy is an amazing waitress and made us feel at home. The food was excellent, with a warm welcome and friendly greeting to everyone. Lots of takeout orders and for 9pm... a good number of people just enjoying a good, hearty homemade southern Sunday Dinner.Rolls and soup come with every meal. The chicken rice soup was sooo good. The ribeye was cooked medium rare and perfect, the potatoes are real and not from a box. Gravy rivaled Thanksgiving dinner. Real collard greens, just like the church dinners back home. The banana pudding is real too, no canned bulk food and the nilla wafers were perfectly crisp. Was better than ice cream!Stop in, say hi to Cathy and congratulate her on over 25 years of serving hungry people. Just bring an appetite and appreciate the homemade food at value prices. Rare place to find!

I was looking for a quiet place to have a meal and a conversation. Remembered this place from a previous stay at the Four Points by Sheraton. On entering, the place was surprisingly busy although not crowded. I waited for 6-7 minutes before someone came to greet and seat me.The staff was friendly and polite, especially our waitress.The food portions were very generous. The bacon was great, French toast and turkey sausage not so good. Prices were ok.The entire restaurant could use some touch ups. The bathrooms were dingy and poorly maintained (wall, paint, ceiling boards and fixtures), but not dirty.

Visited this location for a pick up order this morning. The experience was great!!! Ive been traveling for two days and the staff at this restaurant have given me a great start to my day. I ordered a veggie omelet that was good, two pork chops that were quite tasty, and two fried eggs. No, I didnt eat it all myself, but everyone was very happy. The pick up experience was easy and quick. I didnt have to ask for cutlery. Its the little things that make an experienced good or bad. Thank you for a good one.

The food was nasty. My sister had fried okra and something dropped out of it! The noodles in the veggie soup was way over cooked. They need new cooks! Throw the whole kitchen staff away and get new people in there!!! I took a pic so people can see... I wont be back till they get new and better cooks!

Ive ate here 3 times now. I will say they have the best ranch ever but thats it. The food is average at best. Good luck with getting attentive service. This place has potential. Great spot at 2am, but any other time of day.. go somewhere else.

Hearty omelettes and hash browns at this diner. Fries with the chicken parmigiana sub were from frozen, but everything else was otherwise good.

I enjoyed my visit here. The food was delicious. I was even more impressed by the history on the walls. Knowing the restaurant gives back to the community during Thanksgiving made me so happy. My best friend and I will definitely be back. 🖤🌙 p.s. I love taking pictures with kitties 🤣

Drove almost 90 miles just to eat here. Ordered the chicken and dumplings, rice and gravy and steamed cabbage. All were delicious! The chicken and dumplings tasted like my Great Aunt use to make. Will definitely be coming back soon! Its worth the drive!

Want to give this place a higher review just because we got such a sweet waitress but I believe the food quality is not all that. The Mac & Cheese I first got was dry and after taking a few bites I decided to let the waitress know so she gave me a fresh batch of it, which was ok. I don’t think I’d eat here again. (Two bowls side by side is the fresh Mac other photo is what I was initially given)

We had a good experience here tonight. I wasnt quite sure what to expect, but the food was delicious. Lighting was "calm" and the place was pretty quiet even though there were other people dining here too. Our waitress was polite and the other staff came by to check on us, too. It doesnt feel super clean to me (nothing specific), but that may just be because its a bit older. We will likely be back again. I love that its 24/7 and you can get take out.... good prices too!

When waitress brought our drinks there was something in my lemonade. I asked the lady if they had grilled shrimp she suggested the calabash for shrimp so i ordered the combination which includes flounder and calabash shrimp she brought me fried shrimp?? I hate fried shrimp...food was nothing special food was bland as my sister states lol
