Skara Bar in Skopje

Huge disappointment 😞Both, quality of food and service was very disappointing...I will never go back to Skara Bar again..

We visitied this place for the first time after the corona virus for a birthday celebrity and it was all a very big DISSAPOINTMENT. The service was terrible, you would guess it would be great if there are only 2 tables booked. The waiter was nowhere in sight for 20 minutes in interval to order drinks or anything. Food arrived after 1h30m and it was cold and not fully cooked. Do NOT recommend this place.

Nice place, good food. If you do not mind that some of the ordered items may be forgotten, a place to go.

honestly the food was irrelevant, it was so so, just know ijt was made by a chef with lots of love, also the cheff can objectively be seen as veryy hot.

One of the best restaurants in Skopje. Delicious food, professional service, nice atmosphere (sometimes can be overcrowded), large menu. Lack of on-site parking, since the restaurant is located in a highly residential area, but this is issue with most of the restaurants in Skopje.

The service is not pleasent, food is not bad, but is expencive

Shameful rude waiter attitude on my first walk in at the place with my baby and wife, been adviced that he cant serve me a menu and to wait 10 minutes as been busy?!At the restaurant were only 4 tables with couples. Shameful the ambient was lovely but the service and communication at disgraceful level.Just left the place disappointed, will never come back.. avoid.

You definitely have to find a time to visit this place and taste his specials.

Delicious traditional Macedonian food prepared to your liking and taste. From various “mezes” to extraordinary prepared pork and/or veal - you have got to try it. Start with a locally acquired fresh salad, fresh white sheep cheese with a local grappa and then finish with a pork file with a glass of Macedonian Vranec. Worth the visit when in Skopje. 10/10

Although they were precise in the delivery time of the food, their Skara Bar minced meat patty is terrible. The meat or rather combination of meats is terrible since the patty is incredibly chewy. The taste of the patty is non existent since its drowned in salt, so if there is any taste at all in the chewyness you can not taste it. Sub par all in all, would not buy nor be tempted to buy anything else in the future.

Nice and cozy, good relaxed atmosfere with live music for the weekends. Highly recommended for people who like to enjoy in good food and nice evening.

Was looking for a quick breakfast as I was in need of such thing. This place checked all the boxes. Delicious food, nice personnel and convenient location. Thanks!

5min before closing they turn off the lights, without any warning from the stuff.At the time, the place was crowded. Everybody was looking for their coats and things in the dark. I do not recomend it

Excellent combination of traditional Macedonian specialties and a fancy bar. The food is very tasty and the waiters are fast and always in a good mood. I highly recommend Skara Bar to everyone.

Skara Bar is always a good choice. Good and varied assortment and consistent quality of food. Service varies a bit, but is in general a bit on the slow side.

Super place for BBQ fans. Prompt service. Affordable. Variety of traditional foods and BBQ.

I honestly can say this is the best restaurant in Skopje.. The layout, the customer service, and of course the food are all excellent. If you find yourself in Skopje, this restaurant should be visited, they know how to make some great food!

Great food, atmosphere and service. I would definitely recommend the sheep cheese , ribs and pork chops even though chosing anything from the many will not disappoint.

One of the best restaurants in south east europe.. excellent service .One of the best tomahawk steaks and baby beefsteak we ever ate.special txs once to kosta for service and the whole team..Coudnt be better ..And beside that I seldom make official comments..but here its worth to do it...

Went there last night for a (not so"tiny" celebration: the place was set-up beautifully and the atmosphere was great. I have been there plenty time before, and the food and the service were always great - but those times were during the day or at "regular" evening times or events. I could recommend this restaurant to anyone whether that is for a lunch/dinner or a special event.

Just in case you didnt know, this place makes a really good fish soup or chorba not exactly a chowder but equally delicious. It is served before noon though. If you get it, make sure you get the freshly baked breads. I really recommend it even if you arent very keen on fish.

Generally a nice place for a great barbecue. The food is really tasty and the prices are affordable.
