Djurgårdsslätten 49-51, 115 21 Stockholm, Sweden, Vallentuna
Tropical zoo with monkeys, reptiles, birds & close-up encounters with lemurs running free.
Very nice place with lots of “unusual” animals. Kids enjoyed it very much!Just a bit too crowded during the weekend.
Very nice park and zoo! Good explanation about animal life & health in northern regions. Could also feed some friendly squirrels!
A bit pricey but nice exhibition.
Dangernoodle on the loose, be cautious. If you see the nope rope, call staff immediately so they can film it escaping and then not do anything about it.
The aquarium is inside the Skansen Park, so an additional entrance fee is required. If you go, start in the morning , the place is huge.
Very nice place for families to take their children and have a lovely playdateLots of things to see and its very safe
Must visit! It was beautiful to have a snake meet up ☺️
Pretty small, pretty nice, pretty humid. Worth a visit.
Very nice park for families and children; animals look well kept with lots of space. The aquarium is beautiful with many terrariums for insects, reptiles and other species. Its a pity you cannot buy tickets for the aquarium without buying the one for the park. Villages and scenes of daily life of past centuries reconstructed in detail. Many small restaurants inside and shops selling street food. Services available.
Really nice aquarium with lots of educational games to play for children.
The fact that you have to pay extra to enter the aquarium is arrogant beyond belief. I will not be going here until the fee is baked into the already quite pricey entrance fee to Skansen.
A very nice aquarium, a good range of fish too look at.
Its awesome. It has commodity for every age group. Even the aura inside the skansen beautifully built natural looking animal habitats are really awesome.
They advertise it as "aquarium" but really the attraction is the monkeys, mangusts etc.
Beautiful place with interesting animals and we got the possibiltiy to touch a rattlesnake and a spider. Can only recommend it!!
First time visit. Super exciting having all the animals so close.
Great place to see animals from Baltic sea and to realize how important it is to limit consumption and pollution. Very friendly and competent staff is always ready to answer questions from kids and adults.
SCAM ALERT. You only get information that you have to pay to enter the aquarium when you are actually in front of it. By that point, you already payed 220 SEK for the Skansen ticket, for which they gave you false impression that youll be able to enter the aquarium as well. But you actually then have to pay an additional 160 SEK for the aquarium. Please put this information at the front desk for all your future visitors. It should be clear what the visitors pay for when they buy the main ticket.
Despite the impression given on the homepage and the information at the entrances the aquarium is not included in the entrance fee. They charge you additionally about 14 Euros for the aquarium.
I advise every family with children to visit the open museum.
Skansen itself is a very good place to be visited, especially with the children. An aquarium is a separate part of this place. I really like it, cause a lot of different fish, frogs, snakes, insects are there. You can touch a snake and a spider. Huge aquariums with really big fish and with different kinds of turtles big and small ones. It is very interesting to observe this world of the nature inside such a wonderful place as Skansen. Thanks a lot for making our visit full of emotions and impressions.
Skansen akvarium was good. I would like it to be bigger and to have more space for animals. But I do understand that space is not something that you can find that easy.
I must visit for parents and kids.If you are travelling to Stockholm, or its your first visit to the city or Sweden, then its a must visit.PS: Visit on a sunny day to play with the Lemurs.
The aquarium is a nice size with a wide variety of animals, insects, and fish. I booked a private experience with a zookeeper to feed and interact with monkeys and sloths, and not only was it absolutely AMAZING, it was incredibly interesting and informative. Will definitely be returning and would 1000000% recommend!
We liked it very much. It us a big territory where you can walk. Also buy tickets to a close zoo in Skansen. It is very impressed.
Amazing place to visit.
It was a great experience. The place is well maintained and most of the animals seems well kept. There were some snakes that had a bit small area for them but I dont have knowledge on how they need to be kept. In general things looks great! My family loved it.
The aquarium is quite small. The park around it is however really beautiful.
Great akvarium with Baltic sea species. A lot of interesting exhibitions for all ages.
Wish you didnt have to pay to get into Skansen (160kr at the time of our visitjust to be able to visit the aquarium (which is an additional 140kr). Skansen is a great place and worth the admission, but if you only want to visit the aquarium, its not worth the extra fee.
Lots of different things to see. Beautiful displays. A bit expensive but worth the cost. The children really loved all the animals.
Wonderful place for both grownups and kids. Educational, great experience. Recommended
A very nice add on to Skansen. Separate fee to get in, mind.
Skansen Aquarium is a nice experience. I recommend a visit
Skansen is the first open-air museum and zoo in Sweden and is located on the island Djurgården in Stockholm. It was opened on 1891 to show the way of life in the different parts of Sweden before the industrial era. The Skansen Aquarium is one of the most beautiful displays in the park, in my opinion. If you have time, use some comfy shoes and choose a good weather day, and go for it...
Skansen is nice place to enjoy with Kids. I didnt like that they charge for rides inside it along with charging a 240 approx ticket beforehand. Rest all good and some where descriptions are missing inside the museum
Skansen aquarium is amazing it took me 4 hours to visit whole place it’s quite big place always take full day to visit this place perfect for family’s also also inside cafes are amazing must try also best to visit in summer
The rain forest is not too big but nice. Suitable for all ages.
There are interesting reptiles and fish here, as well as some cute mongooses and other mammals! There is also a big souvenir shop.
An open air museum featuring rescued buildings from swedish history. The addition of the nordic animals is a real bonus. With animals housed in a zoo friendly environment. The aquarium and the monkeys felt a bit strange in this park as they did not fit in the theme of the park.
This was a wonderful experience. Tons of cool animals to see. Definitely worth a day trip to check it out! Easy enough to get to via train and bus!
The place is amazing. One of my favourite place in world. I love every single moment inside. All animals have a lot of space, really clean and have really interesting expositions. I see a lot of babies, animals eating and interesting babes. AND THEY HAVE LOVELY RATS space. I only can see one, but I wish the have 3-4.
Entrance ticket is 120 Swedish kronaGreat exhibitions of animals let visitors see lots of activities of the animalsYou can find monkeys, baboons , reptiles rodents , insects and exotic fish in thereJust after entrance, you can find tens of baboons living in harmony which is enjoyable to observeAll the animals are kept in individual aquariums inside the building, so it’s really easy to explore and see all the amazing wildlifeTransparent glass catfish looks fantastic in an open aquarium with great decorationsIn a huge aquarium, you can find a little piece of dessert where herds dwarf mongooses live. They look so active and adorable.
Amazing place for animal lovers. Kids will love this place. If you’re visiting Skansen, adding Aquarium is a must and should be no-brainer. Moreover if you buy the tickets along side Skansen Aquarium, you will get a small discount as well.
Nice ferry ride from Gamla Stan to the island. 8-10 mins walk from the terminal. It is quite run down inside or maybe it is weekdays. Very huge area to walk. It is open air and can be slippery during winter. There is an aquarium in the park.
Probably the best best Ive seen. So well laid out, presented and looked after. Id definitely recommend you make the time to go when visiting Skansen.
Very spacious zoo, was also included in the Stockholm Pass!
Well organized and lots of interesting animals to see! Had the ability to pet a snake and a spider at no additional cost which was a fun addition. The signs outside stated itd be possible to pet stingrays but once inside they werent even there, so that was misleading. The museum was smaller than I thought itd be and the entrance area could be more open and with clearer signs on recommended route.
This place is amazing. This was our third visit and we just loved it! My son got to see the worlds most venomous snake and was so excited. And proud. You also get to touch a snake and a spider. If you dare. The gift shop is full of great gifts. If youre in Stockholm you should definitely visit Skansen-akvariet. Snakes, monkeys, spiders, and many other exotic animals and insects. Who doesnt like that?!
Quite small but still worth the extra entrance fee (100 kr/adult). Nice to be able to walk so close to the lemurs and other monkeys in the rain forrest. Cool crocodiles and nice salt water aquariums.
