Description
Privilege
Best place to stop on your road trip. Try the curries, they will fuel you up in your journey ahead.
MoreAmazing tea and coffee and bajaya and all sorts of food are very tasty yummy and delicious and beautiful place beautiful staff very nice hand up to this restaurant.
MoreFood was good, but Mojito was questionable. Lemon was not just squeezed, but crushed with the slice and pulp in the drink
MoreThe food was expensive and the portions were very small. We ordered tea for 4.5 dollars and it came in a tiny cappuccino mug. The flavours were not very Indian …Service was friendly
MoreNOT WORTH THE MONEY!The restaurant doesn’t differentiate on masala tea and milk tea and charged an insane amount for it! For vegetarians it would seem they wouldn’t be happy with their food as it was blend!Apart from the customer service I wouldn’t recommend anything great about the restaurant. I hope the restaurant can at least improve on its authenticity for its food and not disguise its food as something else.
MoreIt was fine. Much more memorable because of the staff than because of the food.
The worst restaurant, dont eat there
Second day in a row here will go for a third, bloody beautiful a must have!
Great environment, nice place for big n small gathering. Food is great enjoyed it
MoreA great mix of Thai and Indian Cusine. The Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious. I requested it extra spicy. On a scale of 1 to 10, spice was 7.
MoreGreat food 🍲 and a great service.
lovely setting to bring entire family, mates over...
Indian food is good. Lamb curry was excellent.
Slow & confused service, took almost an hour to get our drinks and no water provided. Pakora and breads were good but the Fiji style chicken curry we had was very bland. Bathrooms in terrible condition.
MoreFor the starters this is not an Indian restaurant, its a Bangladeshi restaurant run as Indian . We ordered 4 dishes paneer butter masala , Palak paneer , dal makhni and aloo Matar. All the 4 dishes were well below par. Posting the pictures of Palak paneer and aloo matar. The Palak paneer was white in colour. I cant understand in which country is palak paneer white . Its not just white and tasted very bitter .As for aloo matar goes , the potato is not cooked well. The paneer butter masala was very sour and the dal makhani tasted like stale oil .The roti and paranthas were made out of Maida and not atta . They were very thick and felt like having a chewing gum.All in all the food was very very bad 👎 , would never ever recommend this to anyone .
MoreI think the did a great job overall. Splitting this into different sections.Service:There was a lot of confusion from the waitress. She was yelling at another waitress to order from the other side of the table but then they must have argued so she left.Speed:Granted, We had a super large group of people (30+?). However it took 2 hours to get our first food dish, and they were still bringing out dishes when we were basically done eating.Food:The food was great 5 stars. Compliments to the chef. Water tasted like it was tap water though, which only matters when youre from another country and your immune system isnt used to the local water.Bathrooms:This was odd. The bathrooms were outside on the side of the building in the alley, and they were broken down, disgusting, smelled bad, and dirty. I felt like I was going to get robbed just walking to the bathroom.Overall Im giving it a 4 because even though the food was great, the other aspects brought my overall feeling of this place down. Its borderline 3.
MoreThis review is based entirely on a dish of Pakora, which were absolutely fantastic. I didnt even have a beer because I was driving, but I reckon an icy cold Fiji bitter with those Pakora, sat outside would be frikkin awesome.
MoreLate dinner served 45min half the customers went away with their mother without having dinner on mothers day ordered chicken soup was served vegetarian soup very Very poor service no water curry was served without rice or Naan bread be careful when you go to this restaurant
MoreDidnt have the Lamb 🐑 which was our preferred dish
The atmosphere was lovely and most importantly the food was so delicious
Food was authentic but the restroom needs an uplift.
Its so beautiful and amazing place to visit
Conveniently located along the highway in Martintar, Nadi, its a great restaurant with outdoor ambience. The food is great and very cheap too. Manager and staff are great as well.
MoreNo good very too much sweet in food never come back to that place
Awesome foodBit pricey, consider reducing prices a bit
Good Indian food. Tried the chili prawns with garlic nan bread.
Everything about this Restaurant is just Awesome. Food was just wooow and Friendly Staff✌😊
MoreGreat place and amazing food. Highly recommend
Great service with awesome dishes
Good food and service in a pleasant location
Terrible food.Tandoori roti was completely crisp and brittle. Could not fold the roti at allSalted Lassi was a mix of milk and salt and almost no yoghurt. Please save your money and dont eat here.
MoreJust worst overall expereince. No Air con, mosquitoe coils all over the place, run down property. Food had no salt, unclooked and unflavoured chicken, calrose rice was served, paratha was plain roti, ordered fries for kids too oily and hard. The only thing good was live music.
MoreVery poor service. Waitress seemed like we inconvenienced her by ordering food. Service was slow. Many items on menu were not available. Staff barely seemed to care if we ate there or not. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Been to plenty of nice restaurants while on my vacation here plus I’m born in Fiji as well. Very disappointed at this restaurant that was recommended to us. 2 big thumbs down.
MoreBest Indian food we have had on this trip. The chicken Tikka masala was the star but the channa masala was excellent as well. Very reasonable prices as well. If you are looking for a good dinner in Nadi this is your place.
MoreOverall Sitar Indian restaurant is not good. The food was cooked in way too much oil. The food took a long time to arrive at our table. There were animals such as cats roaming the restaurant under the table we were eating at. the garlic naan had no garlic and the cheese naan had no cheese.
MoreGood food but service is slow. Floor stuff need to smile more. Lunch is very cheap but dinner is a bit expensive.
MoreBest chicken curry in Fiji!!! If you like your curry hot get the chicken vindaloo, they use the local bongo chillies which are awesome (400,000 schovilledefinitely worth a visit if you are able.
MoreI had been here a couple of times. The staff are friendly. Last night though, they served prawn malai which was essentially cooked in sugar. It was a disastrous dish and when I went to understand what went wrong, the manager was outrightly rude and didnt want to speak. Am sure there are better Indian restaurants in Nadi and will scout for them.
MoreNice place to have Indian food on a holiday to Fiji. Close to airport, Nadi town and Smugglers Cove. BYO additional charge.
MoreWell located and easy to find. Open layout very comfortable. Pleasant and attentive staffOrders efficiently taken, prepared tastefully and delivered in good timeFood excellently cooked and delicious Indian cuisine.
MoreEnvironment is cozy and pleasant. Servers are excellent at attending to your every need. Portions are very large, and tasty. You can choose what is the best spice per serving. Everyone is friendly.
MoreI would like to highly recommend the sitar restaurant.to all.Even though we live in Sydney it still didnt affect the price and we were given a variety of option. Medhi and the other management team were sooo easy to deal with, great food and you guys really made our sons 1st birthday a one to remember specially when we wanted to show our kids the root they belong to which is the Fijian way on the most beautiful island.. ... the staff were very friendly and our guest really loved the environment and the food..thank you for the hard work you all put in we will always be having you on our priority list whenever we plan to do any function and highly recommend to everyone...from a happy parent to you all ...at Sitar all the very best god bless hope you see you back in the near future
MoreReally enjoyed my meal at Sitar along with the set up with in door & out door eating options. The atmosphere is quite nice with little huts with fairy lights, out door seating where youre able to look up at the stars & with gardens/trees surrounding the restaurant. One would be forgiven for forgetting that its by the busy Queens Road. I ordered a butter chicken which was pricy at $21.00 & had to order naanan at $3.00 each as an extra but the quality of the meal, atmosphere & good service by the waiting staff made up for it. Would recommend it to people wanting a good meal in a chilled atmosphere.
MoreVery good restaurant with tasty Indian cuisine. The customer service was also very nice. If you go here dont expect very big portions of food. So if you want to eat more than just a little you will have to spend quite a lot of money as this place is not one of the cheeper ones. Enjoy FIji. Cheers.
MoreThis place needs some good management and strategy to upgrade and make it suitable for eating either by locals or tourists. The prices are exorbitant and service really bad. Food not of quality at all.
MoreFJD 39.90 ea. Custom order, meat off the bone with local curry - interesting to experience something new. Server suggested it, good service at a Fijin pace - never saw any servers with time to rest, they were busy. The chicken was a bit dry, but the flavour was interesting. Mango Lassi might have had a bit too much mango syrup, but I was unable to stop drinking it. Salt lassi okay. Masala tea a bit on the milky vs. spicy side, served with brown sugar.
MoreSuperb food. Loved to eat the Indian food here.
omg the food was fantastic and service was great. I highly recommend. so far best food I ate nadi all week long. Its not cheap but its not expensive either. I probably paid about 25 bucks (USDfor two beers and chicken and rice dish big salad. My waitress was great she even turned on fan.I had to bring back 1/2 the food to my rented place. so I now have left over which will be another meal for me. oh and the place is clean and open very refreshing!!!!
MoreOne of the best food experience we had in Nadi.
Please double check the check, the 2 times we went there, they tried every time to bill you for another more expensive dish. The 1st time food was good, second time cold and the what is supposed to be thick sausage was diluted.
