The River Kanchi plunges into the forest at this little known waterfall reached after a short trek.
Awesome place to chill out
Very beautiful. The river is smaller. But area comparable to Hundru falls. Need to get down around 200 steps.
Visiting this falls was kinda magical. Cause when your climbing down it to it, all the trees are around you , and a magic forest vibes you will get , spiders and wild animal noise you will see and feel . Must visit and tickets must.
Very nice waterfalls with significant height near about 200 m. Accessible to the plungpool area also.
One of the most attractive falls in Ranchi city.. you need to step 220+ stairs to reach the final spot.. the view of the place is next to imaginable.. just go with your kids theyll surely love it❤️ #ranchi_diaries #sita_falls
If you really love short road trip so this best place that you can explore with your friends , family or anyone ....It nearly 40km from ranchi and and you will love it ...
Very nice place with natural beauty of water falls and forest.
Total about 350 stairs are there (up & down). But very good place to visit. Enough parking lot. But no food available. Rood condition is good
Nice place, calm and quite.

It is at 40 kilometres (25 mieast of Ranchi in Ranchi-Purulia road or NH-32.One of the most famous place of fallsSita falls point view is wonderful and anjoy moment fill another day.
This fall originates from river Kanchi a tributary of Suvarnarekha river. The height of the fall is approx 300 ft. The footprint of goddess Sita found here during the vanvash of lord Rama goddess Sita and lord Laxamana. Thats why this fall gets its name after Sita. The footprint of the goddess is now preserved in temple. The beauti of the fall is so breathtaking. The fall is at its scenic best during the rainy month of August . However for a picnic the best time to visit is during the winter months of December and January. Entry to the fall is open 24 hours but it is advisable not to visit the fall after dusk. Sita fall is safe for tourists. Earlier it was a part of the Red corridor area but now the government is turning it into a tourist hub. Far location from Ranchi the main city it becomes isolated after 4pm, therefore avoid visiting after sunset. Also avoid visiting alone, always be in a group. About 4 to 5 km there is another famous located this is Jonha Fall.Nearest railway station is Gautamdhara and Jonha but these are small stations. Ranchi junction is located about 40 km.Must visit these falls once.
Beautiful place maintained by Jharkhand government
Require more maintenance...Nothing special to mention...Close to Jonha Falls...
It is in the outskirts of Ranchi. At this place waterfall can be seen but it is too far to enjoy from the distance. Approximately 500 steps up-down is there.
A nice place to visit when in Ranchi. A few hours could be spent enjoying the beauty of the place.
Best waterfall of jharkhand FOR MORE YOUTUBE -RACER SHUBHANKAR BANERJEE
Nice water fall, have some stairs and need to cross the water to have beautiful view
It is a little bit off location. But the beauty of falls is eye soothing. Go and watch. Ticket is rs ten.
Beautiful experiences. Enjoyed the place with friends and family.
Awsome place to chill
Sita Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall situated in Jonha village of Anagada block of Ranchi district. It is situated in the lap of nature with beautiful scenery. This waterfall attract less people other than any other waterfall. But on the occasion of new year more tourist arrived here to enjoy picnics. Some people cooked their picnic here and some have carried out from the home and enjoyed here. You can bath here easily. Here 10 rs. ticket charge for single person and parking charge is 15 rs. for two wheeler. If you go there in rainy season then must carry a umbrella otherwise rain will disturb you. Must visit and experience the nature of beauty.
Really nice experience... Outstanding view... Fyi- If you are travelling with your old parents then a bit exhausting... As there are lot of stairs.. But over all a great experience.
You can visit this falls during visiting Jonha falls. There are less steps than Jonha falls.
Sita Waterfall is a very beautiful waterfall situated next to Jonha village of Anagada block of Ranchi district. Here you can easily come by all trains and trains.
Beautiful view of the river falling from a height Between the green forest.
Good place for photo shoot
Yeah it was amazing me and my family enjoyed a lot we take bath for 1 hours. Must visit Sita Fall
This fals is nice looking. I have seen this falls fall from a high distance. It has so cool water. Falls moves through different steps through the ground. I have a relaxing time there while seating on a bold and hanging my legs on the running cold water ❤️😊.
Nice place to visit
One time visit must. Great place. One can enjoy some picnic time with friends and family.
This is a very nice falls of Jharkhand. The good part of it has less number of stairs compare to Hundru or Jonha. Stairs are in good shape. Elderly person can sit and rest side by stairs. We visited in March 2022. So water in the falls was less. Best time to visit is after monsoon season.
Nice place. You can close to fall. Height of this fall is more among other falls not as commercialized as Jonah and hundru. You will not see shops here . Similar facilities as Jonah and hundru cooked food are not available
Less crowded & less step to reach the bottom. Monsoon is the best time to enjoy the beauty of Falls. Ample space for car & two Wheller parking. Avoid the winter months because of unwanted crowd & noise.
Good when less crowd as gathering platform is not big & spread like other falls in Ranchi e.g. Jonha Fall
This beautiful waterfall may be not as well known as the Dussam or Hundru falls, but surely a hidden gem of Ranchi. The milky water flows through a lush greenery can sooth the soul of a nature lover.
Another famous waterfall to visit near Ranchi City. It is situated near to Jonha Waterfalls. The view of falls can be viewed during rainy season and may be later till the water flow is good. Kindly visit here and but please dont spoil the place by throwing litters.
Nice view along with the forest 🌲 surrounding
Fall view is good, but not good for picnic, cooking. There is no proper maintenance.Stairs are less compared to jonha Or hundru fall.To visit nearby the water fall path is tedious and slippery rocks. There is no proper place to bath.No hotels near fall.Entry charge is 10 per personParking charge 25 for 4 wheelers.Just ok place. It can be covered in same day along with Jonha fall which is just 5-7 km from Sita fall
Its a good place...but many steps are there.... If any ill person, old person, pregnant women will go there they can facing nausea when they return back by the steps.... Otherwise this place have a great scenario....
Amazing waterfall. But you have to walk down if you want to reach bottom of the fall. Its better to take a rest while walking down/Ups.You should go and see amazing nature.
Awesome place and well managed
One of the highest waterfall in Jharkhand, in lap of nature. Very near to Jonha, 5 KM. Its definitely a must visit if you are near Jonha falls. 250 steps to climb down. The view of fall is mesmerizing.
Sita Waterfalls located just next to Jonha Waterfalls. You have to cover a total of 250 steps to reach to the bottom. But you can descend only 200 steps to get a quite good view of the falls. There is a entry fee of rs 10 per head and for 4 wheeler parking its rs 25.Its a very nice waterfall, with the water coming down from a very good height.
Cant explain the beauty of nature
Good for family picnic..Lots of stairs to climb.Rocks are very slipery.Dont let kids to go near the water fall..
Yet another beautiful fall surrounded by lush green trees. This fall is quite different from the others in way that you can climb up to the point where water falls from a height and soak yourself in the falling water! The climb upto this point might even give you a feel of trekking ( just a warm up one!!). This place is not too developed and theres little place around the fall where you can organise picnic ( just two-three groups of people can make it feel crowded). Remember to carry spare dresses as once you are up there, you cannot resist the temptation of bathing under the fall. Its a good place for nature photography too.
Just 10 minutes ride from Jonha falls, in case you need less stairs to climb up. I have seen people cooking here as well...Parking space is available
If you love nature.you can visit
Its beautiful, less risk then other water fall
Best place to visit with friends and family. The fall is very much Beautiful and it is less risky than other falls in Jharkhand. The place is safe for playing in water. The depth of the water is in safe position. I would recommend to go to this place and enjoy✌.
