I like how they make everything in house, especially the bread, most burger joints in Addis dont do that.

A great space to work in. The staff is amazing, they even gave me an alternative socket for my computer. The burger is a bit small but enough for one person.

Went there more than 6 times within a month, Sishus a unique place as its name is!My daughter gets excited every time we plan to go to Sishu, their burger is what she always looks forward to. I think she remembers when she first had it, 6 years ago. Right now every burger in Addis is being compared with Sishu. Thus far, none has met her expectations YET!Sishu apart from the food, your eyes will wander around looking at the artifacts and the best vintage materials exhibited there. Most of all the ambiance is spectacular!The service youll get is amazing, I think Ive already shared pictures of our waitress where she was the most attentive, kindest and all the wonderful quality a service provider should have!Thank you for reading but stop reading and go experience it yourself!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes they are a bit pricey but I have to say its the best burger that Ive had in Addis Ababa. There lime sweet tea is the bomb. And their service was awesome tonight. My wife had the Sishu burger and I had the upgrade with the tab of local butter and Gouda cheese. Best burger ever

I love this place. Its beautiful inside, good parking lot and the food is carefully made. I love their attention to their customers, and Ive recommended many of my family and friends to this beautiful restaurant.However, the recent price changes have made this already pricy establishment far too overpriced. You can easily spend well over 1500 Birr on 2 burgers and a drink, which is discouraging for a family or a group of friends who wish to be regulars.Itd be great if they had more than one vegan item in the menu.The restaurant is over staffed with servers crowding the entrance and hovering around the tables.Although the restaurant had notices up for price increases as a courtesy, my friends and I only saw that as a marker for when wed stop coming for big lunches and weekend dinners. With the road construction slowing down business for this place, we hope this final price increase wont be the last nail in the coffin.As a recommendation, instead of jacking up price Sishu should maximize on PR by utilizing different online platforms such as LinkUp Addis, Events Ethiopia, etc.. and host shows and events to build a larger customer base as well as set up an efficient shift management. The place is refreshing and anyone who goes there once is bound to return.

As per my daughters request to give the 5 stars here you go. I absolutely loved the service, the ambiance, the set up, still is my favorite place but we decided to revisit it again after so long. Till next time we enjoy our sishu burger its good day from me and my daughter! Yep my niece was with us too. She had shared her experience when she came with her mom and dad a while back.

One of the best authentic Burger places in Addis. They are a little pricey which is why I have rated them only a 4 but you are getting what you payed for, in quality and quantity.

I havent eaten at the restaurant but this is the place in Addis to buy your hamburger buns, ciabatta buns, and baguettes. In fact, I havent had such a spot on baguette since we were in Paris...just the right ratio of crust to fluffy soft interior. They are closed Mondays. Edit: the hamburgers and service are great!

Good food and very nice ambiance. Cheesesteaks and tofu sandwiches are great. Sourdough bread is amazing! Importantly, they are doing a great job with covid mitigation. Lots of open space between tables. Servers very mindful. And the fact that it is in an open warehouse means it’s similar to eating outside. Probably the safest restaurant in Addis during the pandemic!!!

Service is a bit slow but the burger is worth the wait. Plus its the only place I know of in Addis where you can get sweet iced tea.Steak sandwich, BBQ Burger, Butter Burger, Cheese Burger, and fries are all excellent. The bread is fresh baked and delicious. Restrooms are clean and well stocked.The atmosphere and furnishings are cool. The use of recycled and repurposed materials is inspiring.One of my favorite "foreige" spots.

Went to Sishu for a business lunch with my local IT vendor. We had to ask a construction worker for directions to the entrance. Fun spot for an American style burger with fries made with fresh ingredients in the open kitchen. I tried the vegan sandwich made with perfectly seasoned tofu filling including fresh avocado. Buy some fresh bread to take home with you to make your own sandwiches for lunch the next day!

Easily the best burger in Addis. Everything is homemade, including the buns and the sauces. Worth the price (220 Birrif you are starving for a good burger like we did.

This is my favorite place in Addis to get a burger. I normally order their bbq burger, but have also had the Philly and BLT. They’re all delicious but they pale in comparison to their chocolate flower less cake. It is a recipe found only in heaven! The price is what you would expect in an American burger restaurant.

When I walked into this place it felt very authentically American hipster, right down to the bathroom decor. The food was good. Im not a big burgers person, but my friends were all very impressed. Though youre really gonna have to pay for the works. A burger was around 170 but if you add bacon and cheese it will run you like 350.

It is a nice place, they cook fine. It is nothing special but it is good for its value. They have variety of pizza, spaghetti, fish, and steaks.The food was great, the prices low and the service was very good. You can find the menu written in English also and the waitress understood basic English, so you will have no problem communicating. It is also very clean and smells great. Good job!

Renovated a warehouse into a decent restaurant. Great ambiance with good foods. Please keep in mind that it is quite difficult to find the entrance.

The place is a bit expensive but would like to re commend for true taste burger lovers. The size looks small but its more than enough for one time meal.Since the place is open kitchen, you will have the option to look who your next meal is going to be prepared. Especially for some one like me, who dont trust restaurant and hotels for the quality of the ingredients of food, I confirm the ingredients are fresh and good quality. But as i said it, the price wont invite you to come more often.

The best burgers in almost the entire world. Great atmosphere. Very European feeling decor. The desserts are delicious too. This is a great place to go when youre looking for some "home comfort" food.

This place is insanely good! Fresh ingredients, modern hipster vibe and the burgers are delicious. I recommend the bacon cheese burger. The flourless chocolate cake with coffee is also a must-have. It’s slightly hidden away behind the street, in a large warehouse.

So perfect ... nice burger nice and cozy place in that big old warehouse. For those who are tired off high end dubai/China stuff this place is a great oasis. They have almost every furniture and decoration with renewed old pieces. You wont regret it. The food is a bit pricy though

Best burger in Addis hands down! They offer simple variations of burgers and a small sampling of other hot sandwiches, like a philly cheesesteak and a couple vegetarian options. The bread they sell to take home is also great. The environment is quite spacious and cool in its converted warehouse feel. They actually sell ice cream too, but its in a separate little outdoor cafe in the parking lot. I dont know why they dont sell it inside- that way the smell of cows could be avoided. My only gripe is that they routinely hike up prices. Theyre smart at how they handle it with a formal announcement and all, but multiple times per year is getting old. Do it once and do what you need to do to be profitable, and then let it be for a year.

No question about it, Sishu has the best American-style burger in Addis! Theyve got a smaller menu, but everything on there is delicious. Be sure to ask for a side of their "special sauce" and dont leave without buying a loaf of their amazing ciabatta or sourdough bread.
