สเตท ทาวเวอร์ 1055 lebua at Si Lom, Silom, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand, Ang Thong
Upscale hotel restaurant on the 63rd floor, serving Mediterranean cuisine & fine wine.
This was an unplanned stay and a surprise (for me). It’s not the type of place we usually stay as ‘budgeting’ but after disappointing stays prior my friend booked here. Lots of points to make. I don’t know what types of rooms other guests are getting to warrant such bad reviews, but our suite is absolutely fantastic. Firstly, the room is a smoking room, while I do smoke I never smoke inside but my friend wanted to make sure I could at least on the balcony. If you don’t have children the staff will unlock the balconies for you. The suite didn’t have a hint of smoke smell when we entered, despite it being a smoking room. (He does not smoke, and he immediately said he smelt nothing). We also soon realised we had been upgraded (but no one told uswhich was absolutely lovely and such a nice surprise! The suite is absolutely huge. Two balconies at different angles, two bathrooms with a bath in the en suite. Bathrooms very modern. Also seen complaints that the rooms are dated, and maybe but they’re not dirty and it absolutely adds to the charm! Our suite had a large entrance, kitchen, an entire room for a wardrobe and bathroom with sliding doors, dining area, living room with large round sofa and panoramic windows, bedroom with en suite and two balconies. Tonnes of extras, coffee machine too. Can’t even list all the extras supplied as it’s endless. Towels are large and good quality. Air con throughout but it never gets too hot. Daily cleaner, who was stunned when we said we didn’t need anything 🤣 I can’t comment on the price of this room as it was upgraded - but for the complaints maybe it’s just worth the extra for the big suites? Also comment on the roof bar as I didn’t have appropriate footwear (it’s all explained on websiteand as we leave for bali tomorrow it wasn’t worth buying anything I won’t wear again and we’re already way over luggage weight! Overall, fabulous. Special thanks to the lady that checked us in and spent time talking with us (unfortunately I don’t remember her name). Highly recommend!
Okay hotel good room bit dated know and wanted 10,000 baht at arrival of check inn ..but overall okay stay and good view of Bangkok skyline
Great place to go to see the Bangkok skyline and see where the hangover film was shot. Drinks are a bit costly but worth it for the experience
We had the best time we could have in Bangkok!Service is extraordinary, the rooms are huge and have amazing view, we used the launge for 4 hours before the flight and it felt very comfortable with free drinks and food.We didnt eat anything at the tower resturants because the price was too darn high.Sky bar is a must-visit place at night, the view of Bangkok was breathtaking!
A horrible experience at this hotel!Due to flight delays we missed 2 days that we paid almost 250€ for ! The Hotel refused to refund us or even postpone the booking, even though we booked another 2 nights at the property after our arrival.Zero empathy from the management! One cant control flight delays ( we emailed the hotel that our flight was delayed and asked for postponing they declined it)Most expensive hotel in Bangkok, located in a really bad area far from every thing (activities nightlife usw.)I recommend everyone to take hotel near
They prepared us a cake cuz we are on our honeymoon. At the reception they asked us to pay for the reservation, even it was paid before. Then she apologized. Not that luxury as it seems.
Front desk staff is slow.Great views , spacious room, f&b is really expensive, value for money with lounge access
This is a great experience for us. The hotel located in Bangkok, offers accommodations with a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre.
My sisters room found cockroach and dirty toilet when checking into the room, hotel is very very old and weird smell, the room patio cant stay because two Ac units were sitting and blow hot air, rooftop bars is over priced.
Was there in September 2022. When reach the top floor, saw the small red colour bar. Our intention is to go sky rooftop bar. The staff keep telling us the rooftop is under developing, we are like what? Then only we said we will google again and call the rooftop bar reception, then only he show us to the lift to the rooftop. When reach rooftop, you will passing by the champagne area, the girl keep selling the menu . I told her that we wanted to have cocktail at the rooftop and see the scenery . She keep asking us wait a while, and meantime keep pushing the menu. I wonder are they earn lots commision by doing this. After we insist to take cocktail and go to the sky rooftop, then only she gave up and show us to the sky bar. The price there is over pricey as well. I wont be back here again . One time experience is more than enough.
What a view we got from the suite the kind gentleman at the reception gave us.Lovely and helpful staff, AMAZING breakfast spread and great location
Amazing view, fantastic staff, drinks are good but expensive, great experience overall.
This place is worth the cost. The view is as amazing as a Thai sunset. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
Amazing view of BKK ! Drinks are bit on the higher side. Men to follow proper dress code (full pantsto be able to access Sirocco
We are staying in one of the Suite. We mostly order food in room and go to Cafe Mozu for Breakfast.Everyone is so courteous and very helpful.Starting from Housekeeping, they are so humble and best team.Eye for detail in everything, empathising the needs and delivering the excellence. Now The coffee shop, Full team at the cafe is really really sweet. They know what they are doing and they understand the choice and serve it even before you ask for it.My best vote goes to the service team at the room service and the creative chefs.I am an Indian and I am Mast compliment the Indian chefs at the hotel for cooking very very consistent food which taste like I’m eating in my favourite restaurant back in India. This is a highly recommended hotel and I would choose this hotel over anything in the city.Thank you so much team Lebua.
I book the suite with lounge access, receive confirmation by email and the next day they tell me that their system has miscalculated the rates and ask me for double the amount already paid. Absolutely ridiculous and zero professionalism. The same afternoon (local time), I try to contact them with the website chat and the restaurant replies to me saying that customer service was closed. Is this a 5 star luxury service?
Great hotel in the former banking district of Bangkok. An old, very beautiful and historic building, beautiful rooms and great breakfast. On the roof is one of the most spectacular rooftop bars.
Perfect place ,very decent and attractive room, nice staff and location was very convenient and easy to reach from anywhere
Scamming Warning詐欺に気をつけてください바가지 요금 주의The worst experience weve had in BangkokI cannot believe this just happened to us in the 5 stars hotels barWhen we went up to the 64 floor for this sirocco bar, they guieded us another bar on the lower floor. Nobody was there except for us. They didnt even give us a few moments to think about and just immediately showed us a different menu from what I saw on the internet, which has only very expensive champagnes (the cheapest one was 1900B). They rushed us to order something by giving us just any random recommendations. And then when we asked them how to go to the rooftop bar, they first said since the rooftop bar is full of people we have to wait in here. They didnt let us to go to sirocco until we refused all the recommendations. After we were allowed entering sirocco, they still showed us the same menu and didnt let us go to the main bar, just a table right in front of the door. We were not allowed to just walk around there until ordering something.I just wanted to have a good time with my parents while were staying at lebua hotel, but it ruined the whole trip in Bangkok. I would very appreciate for that.
Good view, old building, if you stay in the tower club you can expect to wait a very long time to get an elevator, you can also expect to ride with many drunk party goers.Outside there is alot of garbage. No mini bar. Thin walls.
A bit overrated, but amazing views of Bangkok from the rooftop. Very expensive drinks on rooftop.
this hotel is not 5 star and not sure why there are so many good reviewsaits not equipped for handicapped people, something that is standard in most Hotels around the worldbshower doesnt differ much from what you find in any 2-3 star Hotel, every modern Hotel has rainshowers these daysccarpets have ugly stains, I dont want to even know what stain it isdthe food is completely overpriced if you eat at the pool compared to other 5 star Hotels in town and certainly not made a by a European chef, hence dont try European food on that menu card you will be gravely disappointedethe location is far away from key shopping areas and activities if you want to venture out.fas stated by so many others dont pay for the lounge access, I tried it, against the concerns already raised by other and they are correct its an absolute waste of money for what you pay and what you get at this lounge, the W Hotel in bangkok is in this regards 20x betterThe Hotel itself has some of the better restaurants and a nice rooftop bar, but I suggest you stay at a nice Hotel and come here for that restaurant…and for the love god get a new chef for the Muze who was trained in Europe and takes pride in his work the food is just terrible
They say it is the best hotel in Bangkok? (I cant imagine the othersWe changed our room three times, they never gave us what we "PAID FOR". The room smells like cigarettes, its dirty, old and the truth is that just for an apparently nice view its not worth the money. Ive been to better motels than this hotel 🤢👎🏻
A luxurious and amazing hotel, with amayzing stuff.A rich and high-quality breakfast. On the roof there is a bar and restaurants with a stunning view of all bangkok.
The view is great and the breakfast is very good, lot of variety. Those are the only real good things. It not really five star.- Feels very old and dated, some place in need of renovation, despite being only 11 years old. Building quality is quite bad and not well thought trough. Balcony block the view from the room. They had to add big a/c maschines everywhere (not built in), so some place are very uncomfortable to be in, because of cold wild and noise.- Hotel itself is not very modern. Shower not that suitable for tall people. Small thing like keycards have to inserted instead of contactless (especially tedious when having to select your elevator floor quickly). Old manuel a/c controls.- Lounge access has good wine, but food and drinks selection is very limited and especially the sushi was not good. They impose a dress code for men only. Woman can wear next to nothing but man need long pants. Its by far not fancy enough for a dress code. It a bad buffet with good wine. The lounge is also strangly set up, a lot of tables with bad views and/or loud a/c maschines.- Pool itself is nice, but on a very low floor and doesnt have a view, except for the massive overhanging building. Was closed without notice and information about the duration of the closure.- The check in desk is quite small and since they have so many guests and rooms, your are just another number, no real attention for you.In conclusion, we were happy because we had a big discount and only stayed two night. Otherwise i would be quite disappointed.
Great hotel with the best breakfast. But the most expensive gin tonic in the world. Please take note as thats why the bar lebua No. 3 is nearly always empty for a bar with fantastic views and trendy music in the city.
Amazing property. Its a quite majestic experience staying here and staff always try to make sure you are treated like a king. Reception wait times should be improved however. Overall best property in Silom.
Well mainly enjoyed the roof bar, a great evening and be prepared to open the wallet. Friendly, great service and views. State tower is good quality hotel too.
Worst check-in experience, booked a room and got a message asking when we would arrive to ensure a smooth check-in informed the hotel this would be 13:30 and they confirmed. Upon arrival the informed me the room would not be ready until 14:00 and we could wait in the tower lounge which we had also booked but this did require closed shoes (no slippers). Only for the lounge to send us away because one of us had shorts (combined with closed loaners and a dress shirtwhich reception told us was fine. This has ruined the whole experience for us, stay away from this hotel go to the Carlton or Sheraton or mandarin instead they know what hospitality is.
The hotel and staff was in general good, should have been a 4 star, doesn´t desreve the last star.Breakfast was great and the view from our room at 56th. floor was excellent. My wife and I were sent off from the balcony on the 64th. floor by very rude staff. My wife was wearing a long (very classydress, I had long trousers but the problem was my leather sandals... They did not fully cover my foot. The following day, I bought white running shoes, and was let in without a problem. After taking the photos, we did not wanted to spend any more time (or moneyat that place and went out to Shang Ra La (5 min walking), enjoying the evening there with nice service and quality.Hotel a bit outdated, top floor should not be used in marketing and is not worth a visit.
Special shout-out to Lebua’s most amazing concierge, Kelly. He was super friendly, observant, knowledgeable, and just really patient. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staffs are friendly and very efficient. The only thing to note is that slippers/flip flops aren’t allowed at their breakfast buffet. I was asked to change out of it by my server.Otherwise, my stay at Lebua was amazing and pleasant. Looking forward to staying there when I visit Bangkok again.
Lebua has wonderful view and breakfast. Pool is very clean and so big. Hotel staff is very quick. We made a test we put our empty plate to the side they took it in 2 seconds
Had a great experience for our 1 year anniversary here. They upgraded our room for free which was a lovely surprise. 10/10 for lounge and the breakfast was great. Will be back again. Highly recommend!
The real reason to stay at this hotel is for the white balcony views of city. Beautiful views! The breakfast was delicious and the pool area was pretty and relaxing. The staff was friendly and the main lobby was nice. However, the pricing to eat or drink at the hotel outside of the breakfast buffet was outrageous. We ended up leaving for our meals and didn’t enjoy the sky bar more than one time on our week stay. After spending $125 on two bottles of beer and two glasses of low end wine, we decided it wasn’t worth it. Forget eating there…. It would have cost $500 for two to eat dinner. The rooms were outdated a bit with stains on the carpet. To compensate for the highly expensive food and drinks, there are several nicely rated restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is within half a mile of the ferry port with a free ferry that takes you to the amazing ICON SIAM mall.
Small portions food, you pay for the view!If you dont want to have dinner but drinks and photos u can come as a walk-in no need to reserve a tableFriendly staff and an extraordinary service.
Not a five star hotel. Nothing modern, the hotel is old but they have not bothered to update the televisions, for example. They do not have a toothbrush or other details of 5-start
Rooms are very large. Hotel is a bit outdated. They could have updated during covid. Tv/multimedia is like 1990.View is amazing and the pool/gym are fine. However the staff that is standing with the elevators are really annoying, they want to make sure you dont press any topfloor button for the skybar. They are not friendly.
Little bit expensive, nice cocktail great views but if you ask 35 dollar for one small cocktail! At least give some nuts 🙈😂 great experience for one time hangover2 feeling
Very poor service. Rudest staff in Bangkok. Disrespectful. Sky bar isnt that good either except for the view. Drink was not at all worth the price. Staff dnt carry your drink when they allow you in the main bar. Vertigo, Hi-So, Octave, and other sky bars are waaaay better than this. Probably wont choose this next time. No biting with drink. Too loud and unnecessary music.Better try some place else
If views, beautiful large rooms, great service and amazing food is what you are after.. This is your hotel!! We had the pleasure of staying at Lebua for 2 weeks and we could not flaunt it. The manager is kind and welcoming, he makes sure your stay is looked after! The staff are so attentive and professional. The restaurants, WOW! The views WOW! PINK BAR and SIRROCO, nothing else like it. We will miss it, but we will also be back soon! Thank you for a lovely 2 weeks!
Really luxyry hotel in heart of Bangkok. Staff was just great and rooftop restaurant has very great wiew over BKK. Breakfast is delicious
5 star service - special shoutout to Angeline Lee and the staff on duty for midnight of 5/18/22. My parents are staying at this hotel for their vacation - I called the hotel to request a bottle of Champagne/food for them. With no prior knowledge of where exactly they were for the night, Angeline took the initiative of seeking them out from the 6 bars/restaurant. It took a while but she was patient the whole time! The bottle of Champagne came quickly and food was served in a jiffy. Payment was sent over to me online with little hassle. The result is a pair of happy and tipsy parents who enjoyed the beautiful night sky of Bangkok + a happy daughter.Thank you again to the wonderful staff of Lebua! 2 thumbs up:)
Absolutely amazing! We had a nice reception at the airport followed by a professional driver in a BMW taking us to the hotel.Check in was smooth, we had a free upgrade which was great.River view from balcony is stunning. Room is massive with a nice chilling living room.Breakfast was fantastic with everything you might want, even rice and chicken. The snacks at the lounge were delicious.Hotel is in great location with everything you need around the corner. Will definitely stay here again in my next visit to BKKKob kun krab 🙏🏻🫰🏻
We loved our stay at the Lebua State Tower. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and assisted with our luggages. The reception staff was very personable and explained all aspects of the hotel in a friendly manner. Our room on the 56th floor was very spacious, comfortable and the balcony facing the river had incredible views. The highlight of our stay was surely the club lounge on the 52nd floor and the wonderful staff there. The lounge has a very relaxing and comfortable sitting area and an amazing staff who took very good care of us. Thank you!
This hotel is a daylight con. Its a 3 star inn with 7 star hotel pricing.I spent over $1000 to stay here a few nights at club tower, and The lobby looks really swanky, but once you get up to the room it looks like a middle income earners’ apartment that was last renovated 25 years ago.I was also offended when even after spending $1000 to stay here, Our group were told if I want to go to the rooftop lookout, we have to buy alcoholic drinks starting at $50 per drink per person or we are not allowed access. Even just to look and get a photo, (which was half the reason for staying here in the first place. And $50 for one drink is ridiculous. Even at the swankiest bars in the west. I knew the drinks would be expensive, maybe $20 per drink, because this is Thailand. Even The most expensive rooftop bar in Sydney is $22 per drink. ($50 was the STARTING price!)I feel like my group was targeted because it included Thai people, and this place was only for foreigners to Thailand.$40 for fried rice also leaves me speechless.I was excited. But when the dish came out I was gobsmackedEspecially when it felt like the rice was bought from a street vendor for $1 and then put on a ceramic plate for a 4000% markup. On the other hand, most of the service was pleasant and would take care of any request at the drop of a hat.The views were beautiful, albeit the dust on the balcony. The towels and bathrobes were made of very good quality.Upon leaving, they get you on their good side one final time and then drop the bombshell, “would you put a 5 star review out for us, right now before you leave?”It was at this moment I realised how they “maintain” a 5 star “rating”This hotel did not live up to its reputation. I thought this would be the best experience of our life, and honestly it wasn’t so bad, but if I could pay for what I got I would not have paid $1000, I would have paid $100.
Just a very large room in a very large old hotel. It is not entirely clear how they maintain 5 stars and why it is so expensive. There are hotels where the prices are much lower and the rooms are much cooler. We got breakfasts at a reduced price when booking, but if they cost 600-700 baht, I would be upset. Lots of stuff, but the quality is average.
We chose Lebua as our SHA Plus approved hotel upon arriving in Bangkok and we ended up staying there again on our return back home to the states. Usually we tend to choose smaller, boutique hotels but what stood out about Lebua was the service- everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and hospitable from the breakfast team, cleaning staff, and concierge. Coming back felt like a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. We also dined at Mezzaluna and thoroughly enjoyed it! I would recommend getting a reservation before dark to enjoy the view.
The room was huge.Having 2 balconies, we managed to see rather far. However, our front view was blocked by another building which I believe is the hospital. The gym is old and not well kept at all.Bugs were flying everywhere.Services at the restaurant and bars were amazing! They looked after every detail and made us feel at home.Breakfast was average though there could have been more choices of food. This luxury hotel does look dated on the exterior. And the shops were all closed amid the Covid situation. I hope things will improve in the future.
Amazing hotel. Second stay here and absolutely faultless service.Pricey for room service and drinks but the hotel itself is good value. The view from the rooms is spectacular and the real selling point for the hotel.
This review is a long overdue account of our visit to Lebua State Tower in 2017.The reader may be wondering why after 5 years I am just now leaving an account of our stay. The amenities at Lebua were very impressive and it was a great pleasure to stay in such a renowned accommodations. The view of the river was beautiful, and exactly as we had hoped after seeing the hotel featured in popular motion pictures. The restaurant at the dome, however served some of the most unappealing oysters that I have ever had. Imported the day before from France the quality was unlike the rest of the hotel. This memory resurfaces whenever I eat oysters and over lunch today was a reminder that still I had not left a review. This experience is always recited to our guests when we eat oysters together. The view from the top of the tower is breathtaking, however, be warned, if you are not drinking alcohol hand over fist then youll simply be asked to get out.The experience overall, taking into consideration the pressure to drink at the top of the hotel is an excellent 3 star - perhaps almost 4! If you find yourself considering staying at the hotel and are looking for something to console yourself about rest assured that the breakfast is among the best I have eaten in Thailand. This is a complete summary of my experience at the hotel. I cannot wait to return in the future and update my rating to 4-stars or higher!
