Sirens Waterloo - Karaoke bar in Kitchener, Canada
Bad service
Nice
We called, and they said they were open, so we went there, and they had all the lights on and there were workers sitting at the desk, but apparently they were closed. We knocked but they wouldn’t come help us. They said “White Piggu go home” which I took offence to.
It said they were open online and I called to confirm if they were and they said yes. Then, my friends and I went there and they were closed. What a joke. We called again and an employee was there and they ignored us.
just don’t go. the workers have very unfriendly attitude towards customers. they only accept cash, and they said that they do not split bills. they also take an automatic 10% service tip.
Sirens is quite expensive so remember to ask about the prices upfront!1System and songsThe system had technical issues. It would always skip a song for some reason. However, it was relatively easy to use once we got the hang of it. As well, I think the songs selection was good but it would expand. There was some popular songs that we couldn’t find.2ServiceThe employees were super sweet. Even though there was a few hiccups, they explained to us and made sure we had a great service. Especially the girl in the red hair and guy with dyed highlights!3TransparencyIt would be nice if the website and social media was updated, with the food and drinks menu.4Room and CleanlinessThe place looks amazing! Felt very fancy and the tables lit up?!5Food and DrinksPopcorn chicken and fries were around $8. Loved the popcorn chicken and fries it was seasoned nicely btw! But the portions are quite small. The mixed pitcher didn’t really taste like alcohol but the green tea mixed with Jack Daniels was sooo delicious - all the girls liked it so would recommend! The strawberry slushy was also yummy.6RecommendationsIf you are trying to budget, I would recommend eating and drinking before you sing. BUT if you want to have the full experience, remember to bring a marker to indicate your cups. Our party got confused with which ones were ours. As well, booking a room at the minimum rate is more ideal. For example, we were a party of 15 and had to spend up to $390 on Sunday for the whole night. The $70 is included in the price and we could spend money on food and drinks $320.7Main suggestions for the company- Updated and fix the system- Add to the song selection- Provide more mics for bigger rooms ( we only had 2 for 15 people )- Have more information on your website and social mediaa
Do not go
The ktv menu is slow and buggy.Definitely should upgrade your software!
price for happy hour is good
The song selection machine is very frustrating to use. If you’re going to sing K-pop I advise you to learn Korean beforehand because they ordered the songs alphabetically in Korean and the lyrics are in Korean too. So yeah have fun with that.Food and drinks are pretty expensive ($11 for instant noodles). Otherwise, the place is really clean and spacious and nice.
Awesome bar . Serve food and drinks late night !!
Fun place to go, $20 for the whole day (4-8). Lots of songs, but sometimes a song isnt available. Also with the UI, it can be difficult to search for foreign songs with an English title. Ive been here several times and I love it
Good
My first time at karaoke. The rooms are really nice and the place has a great atmosphere. The drawbacks are that the song navigation menu is only in Chinese (however songs/artists can still be searched in English). Additionally, the videos arent the greatest quality with the lyrics sometimes being inaccurate. However, I had a fun time and would still recommend.
Great spot need more english music
Good place to have fun with friends
Not nearly enough collection of songs. Many were just listed and don’t actually exists. Worst place I’ve been ever.DO NOT GO.
Asian Bar,recommended if u speak Chinese.
Mediocre - If you arent Chinese, you are going to find this place a disappointment. The food is terrible and the catalog of English songs are even worse. How this business stays in business is beyond me.
Sing your heart out
Price is way too high for the amount and quality of food
Cheaper if you get afternoon rates. Best option in KW for a booth style karaoke night.
A proper karaoke place in Waterloo. Pricing is pretty expensive especially compared to Toronto, but the place is clean and the staff accommodates your karaoke needs fairly well.
I was amazed by the size of every room since it was the biggest I have ever seen in Canada. They have a "happy hour" which charges $20 for each person until a specific time (Sorry I forgot the details). However, if you do arrive after happy hour, then the typical charging method - minimum spending - kicks in, which you must spend more than a specific amount of money on foods and drinks.
Sirens gets a four star rating based on a lack of other karaoke places I would choose to visit again. Though the pay structure is needlessly confusing, and getting a reasonable deal on food is practically out of the question, the song selection and room quality are good enough for most people, whether looking for English, or Chinese playlists. Software used for selecting and queuing songs is a bit cumbersome at times, and finding artists can be a puzzle. Ultimately, it does the job however, and the staff are usually present enough to help out if needed.
Expensive af. Charged arbitrary tips on the bill! Cash only too! Damn tax evaders
The price for karaoke is pretty good.
Almost Korean songs were broken down
I came here on two separate occasions. Once, we had reserved a room on a Saturday afternoon for 6 people and it costed $20 pp for happy hour from 4-9pm which was good, with one service interruption from the machine. The staff were very indifferent with their job, does not give you more than 2 mics, and really struggled to understand what I meant when I asked for water in English (if you speak Mandarin I highly encourage it).The second occasion we decided to walk in impromptu for a party of 3 and the staff said we had to wait 30 minutes for a room (asked this in Mandarin by the way). We decided to wait around but went to ask for more details on pricing on a Friday. They told us that itll be $140 per room as it was the only deal they had at that moment. It seemed really unreasonable so we left. I still dont quite understand their pricing strategies and their internet presence is quite lacking. Really sucks that theyre the only karaoke place around.
Great experience for karaoke. Awesome equipments and clean rooms
great
One of the best place for having a fun!
Terrible service and small rooms. Staff do not accommodate to your needs; I would barely call it service. Desk attendants will talk behind your back in Mandarin. Like cmon, Im right in front of you!
Servers were trash talking behind our backs when we came in and were paying. Like you dont think I understand you? lmao. They also charge an illegal "Customary Service Charge" and when we confronted the employees they threatened to call the police, and they gave a spiel about how low they are getting paid. They also dont notify you if you go over the hour limit so you have to track the time yourself because we got charged additional $30 for going over by 8 minutes.
Good environment.
Very nice high class environment karaoke with a very affordable price!
Came here for happy hour with my friends twice. The facilities seem really new and clean. The song selection interface is a little bit difficult to use but not too bad. No outside food allowed and the food offered is pretty expensive for what you get.
The room is okay, but the staffs at the counter were having terrible attitude.
Nice karaoke place
best karaoke
A group of friends who havent seen each other in a long time got together for karaoke, and it was the best karaoke experience any of us have ever had. The song selection screen was a little difficult to use but overall it was a great experience. 10/10 would recommend.
Nice place for party and had a really good experience last time
They ran out of Matcha and strawberry for the Mille Crepe!!!! Bah!!
Environment and equipments are better than K-zone, but they said there is no small room when they actually have so that they can sell a medium room.
No outside food allowed. Decent prices for happy hour, drinks are okay. The English song selection is actually pretty impressive.
The food is expensive...
Interface started in Chinese, we had to figure out how to change the language. Only gave us 2 mics for a 10 person room, which isnt nearly enough. We even asked for more mics, but they said no theres only 2 for that room. The washroom was also filthy, looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a year. Plus it had neither paper towels, nor an air dryer. I know a lot of Chinese go here, but did they really have to copy the Chinese washroom?
Literally the best place you can find in KW area.
best karaoke in waterloo
Worst place .... we booked for a evening and the own boss called us a lier because he booked us in till 10 pm once we get there they had lost our booking time and they never tolled us last call was 730. Worst management worst team worst experience. It was our first time!!!
