Single Inn Taipei in Banqiao

Was a last minute decision to return to Taipei and was looking for reasonable stay.To my surprise, the price is relatively reasonable as compared to those around the district (easily cheaper by half the price).Im one who needs my own space, though Single Inn is considered as a hostel but provide individual space - such as a single bed with your own lockable door. Unlike many others which provide bunk beds.Pro:1. They make it a point of everyone to deposit their keys + access cards each time we are out for the day.Which save some space in your bag + worry-free that you would lose them.Upon retrieval, they will verify your name before returning you the keys.2. Men & Women are segregated.They have specially separated the lifts for individual use.Rooms are on different levels.3. Dryers (45minsand Washers (31minsare at NT$50 each with complimentary detergent provided. Coins can be exchanged over the reception.One iron board is available at the self-laundry too for use.4. Near MRT stations - Fuzhong MRT & Banqiao HSR, Railway + MRT5. Food is almost everywhere along the streets.6. Behind a police station.7. 7-11 is just around the corner or if youre lazy to step out of Single Inn. They have vending machines available filled with snacks, beverages and instant bowl noodles.8. Shopping malls are within walkable distance.9. Apparently they do provide supper till 10:30pm which I didnt get to try as Im mostly out till late. And they do serve Heineken beer on tap for NT$200 for the first pint and subsequent at NT$100.10. Staffs are friendly and always readily to clarify any doubts or inquiries. And they are very responsive over LINE too.11. The common dining area is clean and conducive.12. Bed and pillow are comparable to those in the hotels. Comfortable to sleep in.Con:1. They have onsen for Men & Women but unfortunately, they women onsen is under main during my stay.2. Only 2 toilet cubicles and shower each. So if you need to use at peak hour (morning & evening), you might need to wait. Otherwise, if youre similar to me, wake up at my own timing + back late. Usually its empty.3. Likewise for hair dryer. Only one set in each toilet.4. Do expect a male staff to be doing the cleaning of the washroom and room at about 3/4pm, even for the Women levels. So if youre uncomfortable, you might either want to step out for your room till the cleaning is done or just lock yourself in the room.Tips:1. If youre considering to make a reservation for "Eco-friendly" rooms, remember to bring your own towels or you may rent it over the reception.2. Bring your own foldable hangers.The room has 2 hooks but no hangers.3. Book early if you want to have more privacy - private room with private toilet.Would be back, if required, and I hope the women onsen will be ready for use + Im able to book the private room with private toilet.

Clean rooms and amazing staff

A hotel worth the money for solo traveller. You can meet other like-minded solo traveller or locals. Convenient location to other places of interest in Banqiao. Near to a local church as well. There are many breakfast stores, convenient stores and restaurants nearby.

I had broken my ankle and needed a cheap place to stay for a few weeks to recover. This place was close to everything, had good internet, and was tidy and clean. The free breakfast really made for a great recovery. The staff even help me around and gave me a room convenient to the bathroom. Thanks for everything.

My favourite part about this hotel was the friendly staff. They were very helpful and open to communication in both English and Mandarin. The facilities were pretty decent, although I didnt expect that the rooms would not be fully enclosed (there is a "window" over the doorway that allows for a lot of noise transfer). The staff is pretty good at managing those who make too much noise in the sleeping areas though. They also offered a free, light breakfast and were good at dealing with my food allergy.

3stars is ok. I tried their branch in Kaohsiung and I gave it 5stars. Compared to Kaohsiung branch, the room here is a “partial” room. Basically, its only like a “cubicle”. The upper wall is open. This is to have shared air-conditioned but if you asked me, its not economical at all. Air-conditioning is open 24 hours for all the rooms to use. You can also hear people talking or taking a shower in the bathroom. I was woken up 5am this morning by 2 ladies talking in the corridor.But if privacy is what you are looking for, this hotel is better than getting a capsule or bunk-bed.

Have been here a couple times in the past several years and already enjoyed my stay. Friendly staff members and nice neighborhood (plenty of food options). Great for someone who spends lots of time out exploring the city.

Good place to be if you like to see the old neighborhood as well as the new, and beautiful historical Lin Family. Close to the HSR and Taoyuan airport, with out going into Taipei center. The greater stuff at Single Inn will look after you.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent except the room was surprisingly tiny. There were restrictions in the room, such as no food was allowed, the TV was set to mute and you were not allowed to make any noise due to the poor acoustic panels between rooms. There are no private shower room and toilets in the room means no privacy. As a whole, I would not recommend this hotel until your budget is very tight.

They offer single bed room, with separate gender’s lift, which I think it’s cool.The resting area is always low light n quiet, so one can always have quality rest in personal room although it’s still consider “open” as the wall is not fully close up to the ceiling.A hot sauna pool that you can soak inside to release stress is 1 of the element I like this place, indoor, 1 room for male and 1 room for female, you can wash off at the washing area before you relax in in the pool, like in Japan.Easy to access for food nearby, 7-11 & family mart is nearby, MRT is 5mins walking distance, and there is a anime / movie library to public too.It’s consider convenient for me to take the MRT to airport from this hotel too.

Common area/restaurant are nice! Fully equipped!Rooms are too noisy.....Front desk staff are so so.....not very friendly..... And dont know much about the neighborhood.....Check out time is 10am......!!

It’s the best recommendation for solo traveller like me. Clean tidy room, polite staffs and the most important thing is the toilets and shower rooms are clean as well!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Everything is clean and all you need for a vacation is provided. It is 3 min walk to the subway. I highly recommend it.

Good location, very close to the MRT station and not far away from Taipei city.The room is tidy but without any chair, and you need to be very quiet cause the room is non-sealed. You can hear the sounds from other rooms.I personally like the breakfast provided cause they are usually made of local ingredients which I like.

A good place to sleep, clean room, have a private space with a reasonable price. They have a sleeping zone and a public zone that sleeping zone you cant make a noise because the wall between the room cant keep the noise. But the public zone is very nice.

Single Inn Taipei is my lodging of choice in the city. Value for money, helpfulness of staff, cleanliness, amenities, comfort and location all rank high from my perspective. Easily accessible from Fuzhong MRT station (exit #3). Rooms are small but very comfortable. Breakfast and evening supper are of quality. Public "onsen" style bath is a treat. Common baths are clean and well-stocked with toiletries. Ill stay again. Thanks to you, Single Inn!

Single Inn is one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. Not only is the room so clean and tidy, but the staffs are also so polite and helpful. The atmosphere here is so cozy. The facilities here are great, especially the bathhouse, it’s like I’m being in a Japanese hotel! This is definitely a comfortable place to stay at for Taipei trip.

It’s simply as comfy and accessible as their two inns in Kaohsiung. You should definitely stay here if you’d like to explore the suburbs of Taipei further🤗🤗🤗

The room is bigger than I thought, very clean and very quiet, perfect place for sleep. The bathroom also clean, but have only two room in one zone. Overall is great. Kindly staff.

Nice stay!! its very clean and comfortable. Location is very convenient too. its true that rooms r not totally closed as above the door its open and you can hear everything going on in the next rooms. so if you are lucky enough to have a quiet and respectful neighbor, you wouldnt have any issue.when i compare it with dormitory style accommodation, i definitely prefer it here for having more privacy.

Located in a convenient spot in Banqiao. You have your own single room but it is not entirely enclosed, that is why they give you free earplugs.

I stayed in a single room. The place is clean and new.However, it is not a real room, more of individual space with divider. I can hear everything outside, from people snoring, footsteps, people unlocking, locking, opening and closing doors. I am sensitive to noises, therefore I did not have a good rest. If you are not sensitive to noise, this place is definitely a good choice.

This place is clean and great for solo travelers. Very near MRT station, Blue Line (Fuzhou railway station and Banqiao Railway Station. You can walk to the Lin Family Mansion and Garden. Some pictures near Single Inn.

It’s really nice hostel. Staffs are very friendly and helpful especially special thanks to Lupers!He’s very kind and amazing! Definitely, if I visit Taipei again I will stay hear again!

I needed a place to stay for a night before traveling to the southern part of Taiwan by train. Two weeks later, when I needed accommodation for the Taipei portion of my trip, I chose to stay here for another 5 nights. It was not luxurious but much further than you’d expect for the price. Clean and quiet, although you hear your neighbors tiptoeing around the halls in the sleeping chambers. The staff were very helpful in a few different ways through my time here. Booking on their website has deals other sites don’t offer.

Excellent customer service and very clean and quiet. Good location close to the MRT and taiwan high speed rail. Will definitely come back again.

service is good, price is ok breakfast is fine. Sound isolation of room is terrible ,even heard others snore, although they provide ear plug to reduce the noise.

Nice clean and cosy hotel. 2 mins walking from Fuzhong MRT station. Simple breakfast and suppers available for free. Strongly recommended.

This is my first time to stay here.The place is clean and really suitable for visitor who wants to relax and stay away from crowd.Staff is nice and warm too and it is worthy of staying again next time.

Small room but clean. Nice and big eatting area. Also like the location and bath area. Bring eye mask though. The room can be quite bright

Easy and convenient place to stay in Taipei. The rooms are clean and the beds are nice. Good sized rooms. The bathrooms are shared but are kept clean and tidy. The location is right next to the train station. Very excellent price for the value.

Fuzhong subway station is a convenient place to access Taipei main station about ten minutes. Hotel can walk within three minutes from exit #2. Facility is clean enough, and well prepared for short stay. Because upper side is open, loud sleeping noise come from the other customers became trouble. I can recommend, if you can accept this.

Single inn really convenience to any part of Taipei ,small tips here you can use TRA or metro to access the hotel and around this. Area got few convenience shop ,check in smooth , everything is good and got provide breakfast and supper for the stay with the high CP ratio price ~definitely will back to here again to stay ~ important here you got the privacy compare to hostel and you only pay for hostel price ~Definitely worth for single cent you pay for ;)

Great place to stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Restrooms were clean. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Very convenient location with a night market not too far away. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Taipei.

This hostel/hotel hybrid is excellent for solo travellers. You will get the privacy of your own room for the price of the hostel. Nice and very helpfull stuff. Location a bit far from the center but super easy and cheap to get there via MRT. A night market nearby with all its delicacies. The small onsen on the last floor is a cool place to relax after a busy day.

It was a great experience staying at Single Inn, the bedroom is clean and tidy. The reception staff here are extremely professional and provide us with great assistance and and advice. The toilets and the public area are clean and tidy. Will definitely stay again here next time:)

it is too bad to live. Small room, expensive, dirty and noisy, inconvenient to get to MRT, I checked out at night, I did plan to live there for 6 days though. If there is a girl just opens the door, you can hear it so clearly and it is prohibited to smoke in room, but people still do. Dont go there if you trust me

Cozy space to stay! They serve daily supplement(towel, toothbrush etcand provide breakfast from 7am to 10am. It only takes 5 minutes from inn to near station. Most what I like is private room with affordable price.

Nice clean room. There is a nice hotspring at the 7 floor common area. Like the idea that they provide slippers outside the sleeping area so all shoes left outside and the sleeping do not smell . do no like that there will still be corridor light coming in your room when you switch off your light . do not like the 10 am check out time.

The room is not what I expected compare to my experience in Single Inn Kaohsiung. Its not as quiet and the door is a sliding door which doesnt completely close even after latched. The location is great since its so close to MRT station and 1 stop from the train station/HST station. Overall good place for the price in taipei/new taipei city.

This one is run earlier than Kaohsiung branch, so the facilities look unsatisfactory compared with that in Kaohsiung, such as the broken wall paper, only 2 shower booths in a sleeping zone, no separate area for hair drying, etc. The cleanliness is quite good but not quiet at all, sound come from the lock of the room doors, toilet door and main door. Unluckily, the tenant next to my room played drama in her mobile phone with the speaker opened all night! Its so loud that I could not sleep... It locates in quiet alley, 5 mins of walking distance from Metro station and 15 mins from railway station. There are some shopping malls and many shops and restaurants in the same region, which is a convenient place for staying.

Good place to sleep. Single rooms. Food not great, really bad if you are a morning person as the food only starts at 7. Out of Taipei, but you can use the metro to reach anywhere. Bath and washroom is good. Gave fresh towels.

The rooms are pretty clean, staff is friendly and basically you have everything you need there. 5 mins walk from the nearest MRT station.This place is not for you, if you are a sensitive sleeper. The partly open rooms come with the following disadvantages: - Noise: You can hear doors shutting, people walking and snoring. The provided ear plugs dont help much. - Temperature: Air-conditioning is done on the floors so you cant control the temperature in your room. - Light: Your room is not fully dark. The lights on the floor can be annoying.

Nice and comfortable single rooms for a bit of privacy. Shared bathrooms. Free breakfast is either a sandwich or porridge with pickled vegetables. WiFi is fast. U need to use slippers when entering the rooms. Use of elevators is segregated between sexes. Earplugs are provided.

Great hostel for solo travellers who dont want to worry about sleep or privacy. I stayed 1-person room and found it basic but very comfortable. The room reminded me of a capsule hotel, but with more space to put your stuff. Probably the only cons were that there is only one powerpoint outlet in the room and there was a gap above the door which let in a lot of light (bring an eyemask).

Im giving this place 5 stars for the quality of the hostel at such a low price. Its a great place if you are just looking for a place to crash for the night. Everyone gets their own small room with slippers, towels, and toothbrush. Men and women are separated into different parts of the building. There are meeting spaces on the ground floor and the top floor. There is a Japanese-style tub/shower room on the top floor as well, with lockers (which require money if you want to lock your things). The downsides to this place would be the the disappointing breakfast and the noise/light in the rooms. The walls of the rooms dont go all the way to the ceiling, and they are paper-thin, so light streams through the top, and if someone coughs on the other side of the floor, you can hear them. I have stayed here many times and have had few issues sleeping because noise does not really bother me, its just the light that gets annoying. But its comfortable, clean, and cheap!

I really enjoyed staying here for the below reasons.Pros- Towels.- Basic toiletries.- Cleaned on daily basis.- 24 hour very helpful and nice staff.- Smooth and clean linens.- Water station to save me lots on bottled water!- Simple sandwich breakfast.- Laundry (twd50 each for washing and drying).- Soak tub.- Separate for female and male.Cons- The price is about 30-40% higher to a hostel bed in a 4 person room. But you get your own room without window (there is a space on top). Yes sound travels by peoples footsteps and sometimes showering but there isnt talking and everyone mostly sleeps at reasonable hours (12-6ish).- Its a bit confusing to get to as its in a neighbourhood but it is a 10 min walk or less from Fuzhong and Banqiao mrt stations.- You cant control your own AC. Though the temperature was comfortable.- Leave your key at the desk when you leave the building.All in all, for the price, location and amenities this deserves 5 stars in my book for the solo traveller.
