Singh's - Indian restaurant in Jūrmala, Latvia
Great business lunch! Very tasty and neatly presented.
Been here two times.First time was good, second time average.Price is quite ambitious but still acceptable.
Good Indian restaurant in Riga. Tasty food. Customer service is good. Variety of dishes and they make it according to your taste. One suggestion they should provide beers on the tap. They should renovate this place change some furnitures. Otherwise good food, definitely good restaurant to visit.
Very tasty food, definitely worth the visit if youre into Indian cuisine. The only downside is that we were seated right by the entrance and it was very cold. The lukewarm tea didnt really help.
Went after seeing good reviews online but got a reality check. I must say it was a worst experience till date. We got served cold foods which we asked again to make it warm and service was disappointing and very rude.
Toxic, rude lady and chilled old stale food.No water no toilet no wash basin. No card payment. ToxicZERO STARSPlease dont waste your money.
We regrettably do not read restaurant reviews before going in. But I was utterly let down by the expensive foods lack of Indian flavor. To save yourself time, avoid this restaurant.
Went to meet my son in Riga and was looking for authentic Indian food and Singh’s did not disappoint . If you are looking for authentic Indian food here it is
Wonderful place with great food
Main dish was very good. Main dish is already expensive and doesnt include side dish like rice or bread. Three slices of bread cost 3.75. They didnt had mango lassi. The service asked many times to order dessert. There was loud music.
We order from Singhs quite often but The Food that was delivered to us yesterday was terrible - so spicy and tastless that it was uneatable. Probably they changed Their Cheff. This was The last time we ordered from here.
Good food. We had chana masala, yellow dal and Kadhai murgh with garlic naan. All of it tasted good and to top it off the staff was very humble and good. Enjoyed the visit while in Riga.
For the first time experience its rlly good! The food is great! And the service girl Shelly was rlly nice to us!
The food was tasty and the service nice, but even though the portion size was pretty lavish, the prices of the restaurant are very far from competitive. The beer selection containing only pale lagers was also quite poor, and there werent even Indian beers available at the time despite their being mentioned on the menu.
Sorry i am not able to give any quality star but i give one star for posting my comment because food is not indian quality test , and we order 8 dishes all are spicies i know what is indian test because i am working at indian restaurant before 10 year to till now. And restaurent look like best restaurent from outside in riga But inside totally diffrent and serviceman didnot take bill by card i think they taking cash money from all customers it means they earning black money. please dont visit this restaurent for quality
After hearing good things about the restaurant, visited restaurant. Tried Lamb Masala and egg plant dishes , both were raw and uncooked. Dal tadka was decent . Naan breads were not fresh . I wont be recommending this to my friends or anyone whom I know about this place. Even though we complained about the food and didnt even eat a single spoon of Lamb masala we were fully charged, this place is costly. The ambience is not friendly , my 8 months was crying continuously we asked to open windows or switch on fans but couldnt get any response. I wont be recommending this place to anyone ,
One of the best Indian restaurants in Riga.Preference is also for you too choose to make mild spicy or Indian spicy...so u can enjoy it much
It was okay type food. I would not say this is the best but if you are looking for Indian food you can give it a try. Taste-wise I would rate this as 3.5. The staff was friendly. The only thing you need to take a note that, this is a cash-only restaurant. So be prepared
Awesome place to eat and best service and good food and please try Singhs mixed grill deluxe sufficient for 2 people 😊😊
Food is delicious 😋 . Amazing kabab. Please visit and try it.
Daal makhni dal was not properly cooked, was raw. A better option is wok n curry across the street.
We ended up here because nothing else was open around 10 pm. But it was not a very satisfying restaurant experience. The food is alright but the place has not a welcoming atmosphere and everything was quite pricey.Rice should be included guys.
Loot Macha Rakhi Hai in logo ne. Everything is beyond expensive here. Id rather cook something at home.
We had better Indian food during our life, here doesnt taste much thou...it was more like soups. Too bad
Good indian restaurant! Quality food and good service by staff. Must visit
Not a good place to go and eat.1. Your stomach will be hurt, you will go washroom 10times as they don’t prepare food they use not good stuff.2. Waiter will talk to you like you are not paying he is paying for your food. The tone of the waiter guy is bad and he will just talk like he own the place… he is so proud of it.. he is beard guy.. be careful with him if you see him, he won’t let you enjoy the food and have peaceful time, he will interfere.. We felt that.3. Don’t accept the card. Only cash. We had to walk to cash machine in rain… terrible 2-3 years and can’t keep one card machine.4. Food taste is not traditional Indian this taste was something with mix up but price is good.5. Sorry but totally no no for this place.
Searched for Indian restaurant and we found this. Frankly speaking didnt find any of the food tasty. Please dont try veg Biriyani, paneer Tikka here, ull forget the taste after having it, seriously disappointed with none of the dish.
No card payment,, but it was written that we can pay with card! Thats weird! They should have let us know beforehand! Too expensive compared to other restaurants we have been so far in Riga!
Great service, amazing food, good portions, great prices! Highly recommended (the waitress called me q sir during my date, that felt amazing!)
We were looking for some good Indian food and tried this restaurant. The Interieur looks fine. The restroom was unfortunately a mess. The meal prices were pretty expensive and were not in any relation to the served dishes. Rice had to be ordered additionally and was not included. The meat tasted like sponge and was not properly seared. I cannot recommend, unfortunately.
So basically the food was not so good. We had to order extra rice. The „butter chicken“ and cheese naan were okay but nothing special. Rice was overcooked and had no fresh basmati taste. My stomach went on a roller coaster after leaving the place. A roller coaster without security.
Singhs was one of the best restaurants in Riga. However, i was really disappointed this time. Weird lighting, unavailable menu items un messy bathroom left impression of run-down establishment.Every time i have visited this place it was very pleasant un uplifting experience. This time it was just sad.
Not bad but could be better. In overall food is okay.Relatively small portionsDont accept credit cards and dont tell you about it in advance.Quite strong smell of cheap air freshener inside. They charged 6,5 Eur for 1 teapot, saying because it was for 2 persons.
Great food but the card terminal doesnt work so you have to stroll around to look for a cash machine. Also they tell you that just before paying making it your problem. As mentioned in some previous reviews it seems to be a common occurrence that makes it even more annoying. Hard to find an excuse for that in 2021.
What a real disappointment. Just arrived in Rīga and wanted an authentic Indian takeaway. Read the reviews, which were good, so decided to order through Bolt Food. I, being a vegetarian wanted a vegetable/vegan curry and looked forward to a selection of different dishes. I was disappointed that I only had a few options to choose from and all being paneer apart from one. The other members of the family ordered their dishes including starters and sides. When the food arrived we found it to be very clumsy and amateurish. It was all fresh and home cooked, which was positive, but very over spiced and not subtle in flavour at all. The flavours were strong and cluncky. The popadoms were bobbly, flatbreads not like Nann and pickles very strong in flavour and very overpowering. Id ordered Paneer Bhurji, which was a clump of what tasted like grated mozzarella cheese and spices. This wasnt anything like panner Cheese. Ill safely say that all the flavours were too overpowering and strong and the whole order was very below what we expected and thus wasnt a cheap meal. Definitely wont be ordering from Singhs again and will make our own in future.
Very nice and spicy as I requested. My favorite chicken Saag and garlic Naan
Amazing Indian food. A lot of vegan options
We were really looking forward to some good Indian food, when we ordered it for delivery today. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. It was inedible. I was starving, but I couldnt eat it (and Im not a picky eater when Im hungry). Something mustve gone wrong today, maybe the chef didnt make it to work or something, because there is no way they would be in business if they served food like this every day. At least I hope thats the case, but there is no way well try it again. It was literally the worst food (not just Indianthat my husband and I had ever had.
Fantastic Indian atmosphere and exotic food.Superb service. This is perfect place for adventurous date night.Really positive and helpfull staff! I have no complaints! This was perfection for affordable price!
The food looks and tastes amazing. One of the few places in Riga where "spicy" food is actually spicy.
Nice to locate this Indian restaurant in Riga! There are quite a few more here, but this is authentic Punjabi Indian food here!!!! 😋👍🍺
Food was good, but very expensive. Therefore only 3 stars. Be careful, you have to pay extra for the rice. We did not realize and we never paid extra for rice in indian restaurants all over the world.TV screen inside: why? It disturbs atmosphere.Service was friendly and the grade of hotness was exactly what we have ordered.
Very long menu to choose from. I ordered a mild dish but got spicy, while the other dish that was ordered to be spicy was less spicy :D The waiters are very kind and helpful when choosing the dishes
The place itself is quite nice and food was also good. I havent been to so many Indian restaurants yet so cant compare food too much yet, but we enjoyed the meal. The only negative thing is service, attitude to clients and cold (on the first floor). There was a guy who, obviously (he made it clearwas in charge there and who welcomed guests and sometimes took orders. I must say it was very unpleasant to "deal" with him, he was somewhat rude, especially if you ask something more than your food orders. For ex we asked tap water and first waitress, then he, they insisted that we buy a jug of filtered water for 4 eur which is insane, we of course could pay for it since we have spent a lot of money on food but this wasnt the case. I would not go back just because of bad service (from this guy especiallyunfortunately.
First things first, the food was very nice. Nice and spicy if you want it to be and the huge selection is admirable. The kitchen is experienced but that brings us to the first negative point. The staff is inexperienced and were somewhat rude initially. This lead us to being hesitant to stay or leave the restaurant. If we were to give a couple of potential improvements then the following: 1. Remove the television. 2. Change the background music to something more suitable and quite. 3. Make sure the staff is a little more responsive. To conclude, great food but with some sacrifices.
The food was good, the Service quick. I would have liked more spice in my curry, but that depends on how you order it. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Monday around 7 pm. What I did not like were the -I think- roasted onions in the saffron rice. But it was not too bad. The taste of the curry itself was good. We payed around 47Euros for 3 people (one soft drink, serving of curry and rice per person,no appetizers or dessert).
Great place with a really decent choice of the Indian dishes. Yet, last time we were there, the service was not that awesome. The waitresses were exhausted due to some celebration on the second floor. We had to wait 15 minutes in order to get a menu! Though, the food was really delicious and spicy. We would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Indian cuisine.
Funny staff, it seems that food is genuine, like straight out of India. Loved it! Lunch offer is 6,5 Eur, which seems reasonable, also plenty to choose from.
If you want incredibly spicy/ hot food, this is the place. The spiciness scale goes from 1 to 4, with one being normal or not spicy and 4 is for the people who can really deal with spiciness. The food tastes authentic Indian. There is also a Chinese menu in addition to Indian dishes. The focus of the menu is more on vegetarian dishes with limited options for meat dishes. In general, portions are much smaller than for example in USA. The average price is around 8.00 ~ 9.00Eur and that is only for the main dish, which does not come with rice. Rice is extra. Overall, authentic tasting cuisine, but on the small and overpriced side. I would go back to satisfy the craving for Indian food but with the expectation that it is not going to be cheap.
Found this Singhs on tripadvisor and Im so glad I did. Incredible Indian restaurant, such great food. Im vegetarian so cant vouch for the meat but what I had was perfect. I love Indian food and growing up in the UK I know what a good curry tastes like. Now I live in Spain so really miss Indian food. This restaurant (in Riga of all places!is the best Indian Ive had in years! Just go
