very peacefull place
The mosque has no inscription by which it can be dated.Architect Abu Sayeed M Ahmed estimates that it is from the 15th century.Other experts believe, based on the known ages of stylistically similar local buildings, that it was built in the mid-15th century. There is archaeological evidence that at one time the mosque compound was surrounded by a wall with towers at the corners and an entrance gate on the east.Banglapedia describes the mosques condition in the early 1970s as "in utter ruin". The governments Department of Archaeology took over the site in 1975. In 1984, archaeologist Johanna E. van Lohuizen de Leeuw wrote that the building had been partly restored, but "its corner towers are still in a shocking state".The Mosque City of Bagerhat, of which Singar Mosque is a part, was inscribed on the list of World Heritage Sites in 1985.The mosque was rated as being in a "fair state of preservation" in the 2010s.

The Singair Mosque is a Sultanate mosque that has a square structure crowned with a single dome. The mosque is situated about 620 feet to the south-east of the famous Shaitgumbad Mosque. This single-domed mosque is locally considered to be contemporary with Khan Jahan Ali style mosques of Khalifatabad, present date Bagerhat, Bangladesh. Based on architectural style the date of construction can be estimated to be mid-fifteenth century . The mosque was thoroughly restored and repaired by the Department of Archaeology, Bangladesh and it is now a protected monument.

The Singair mosque is located right beside its more famous cousin the Sixty Dome Mosque. Both of these fifteen century mosques were established by Khan Jahan Ali who travelled all the from Turky to establish the mosque city of Bagerhat. Its a single dome mosque contrary to the sixty dome mosque which has 77 domes on top of 60 stone pillars. The mosque is in very good condition considering its age (around 600 yearsand its still in use. Dont forget to pay a visit when youre in Bagerhat.

Standing with single dome but enriched with a lot of history
Situated at the opposite of the Shat Gombuj Mosque. According to the researchers, the mosque was built at the same time when the Shat Gombuj Mosque was built. It has only one dome. So it is called One Dome Mosque too. Youll find more mosques nearby built following same structures. Bibi Begani Mosque, Chunakhola Mosque are two of those.
in front of shat gombuj masjid.
An ancient mosque.
It is in Good placed, beside the Highway Road.
The Singara Mosque is across the road from the Saith Gumbaz Mosque on its southeastern side. It has a single dome which is heavily built and a wide dome. In the typical style of the Khan Jahan Ali, the dome is supported on thick walls and topped with a cambered cornice. The Bigi Begni Mosque and the Chuna Khola Mosque are also of single dome type but much larger in size compared to the Singara Mosque. Last reported, the mosque was in a state of decay and renovation works were envisaged.
This is also a very ancient mosque having one dome. As this mosque is just near the main road, there are lots of people you will find : visiting, talking, saying prayer.

The mosque is located at the opposite of the Sixty domes mosque. It was just a minute of walking distance from Sixty domes mosque. It is a square shaped mosque having an one large dome at the top. It is totally unknown about the builder of the mosque. But, it is guessed from the architecture that the mosque is from the 15th century (which means a contemporary of Sixty domes mosque ). This mosque has three entrances at the Eastern side of the wall (middle one is slightly larger). And it has a single entrance at the Northern and Southern sides wall. At the four corners of the mosque it has four thick and round shaped Mughal architecture column. The Mosque is currently functioning and people use to pray here regularly. It has a few spaces available around the mosque. It helps the tourists to observe the mosque from a varied distance.
