A beautiful mosque in the heart of Prizren.

Indeed a venerable mosque, dominating the downtown. It still needs some conservation work but it holds its old parfume. Much appreciated.

A traditional-design mosque, nothing outstanding, but still impressive-looking from the outside and in a good location for photos of the city. You can go inside if you take your shoes off and are modestly dressed. Inside there are a few nice decorations on the walls, but like most mosques its relatively plain, as worshippers are expected to focus on praying.

Big mosque in the old city of Prizren. Around the mosque you find a lot of restaurants and cafes. You can also find a lot of souvenirs shops.

In the mosque and its surrounding is well preserved and youll find a lane with souvenier shops and a café there; a nice experience to have a turkish coffee served in an finjan in the mosques backyard!

Sinan Pasha Mosque is an Ottoman mosque that was built in 1615 by Sofi Sinan Pasha, bey of Budim. The mosque overlooks the main street of Prizren and is absolutely breath taking!!! You must visit!

Sinan Pasha Mosque - (Bugday Camii), was originally a church built in 1359 with funds donated by a successful merchant called Simon Nostrano during the reign of Peter I.The building became disused during the Venetian period.After the Ottoman conquest in 1571, they added a minaret to the southwest corner and renamed the edifice Sinan Pasha Mosque, after “Sinan the Great” who served five times as Grand Vizier in the Ottoman empire.Gothic arches rise above the rhythmic succession of bays, from plain circular piers with undecorated capitals. From the abacus of each pier are three colonettes, merged into the wall, which rise to the clerestory level, fan out to cover the nave and create the cross-vaulted ceiling, which gather at roof bosses of floral design and which often bear coats of arms.

The architecture is ok, not so interesting. Is basically a big and old mosque in the very center. Is nice for photos.

Prizren Oldtown is really charming and idyllic. The Sinan Pasha Mosque was beautiful from outside with the little garden in the backyard. Great Mosque in Prizren City. Old but gold one. Placed in th heart of the city. I strongly recommend to visit this cultural heritage.

This mosque was built of stones of destroyed monastery of Saint archangels 3km away from town.

It was built in 1615 by Sofi Sinan Pasha, bey of Budim. The mosque overlooks the main street of Prizren and is a dominant feature in the towns skyline.The mosque covers roughly 14 m (46 ftby 14 m (46 ftand is square in shape. It has one large dome and another smaller half-dome that covers the mihrab, which is painted and has a stalactite hood. The mosques walls are 1.65 m (5.4 ftthick and its minaret, which is topped by a conical structure covered by lead, is 43.5 m (143 ftin height.The walls and dome inside Sinan Pasha Mosque were painted in the 19th century, mostly of floral patterns and Quran verses. The minbar is painted with floral motives. Both the large dome and the half-dome of the mosque are covered with lead. The stone flooring of the mosque and the carpentry are original.

This place was the most beautiful place I was seen ever. It have perfect infrastructure, green places, park, stores, antic signs.... Everything was like a dream. My favorite place. Congratulations for government.

We are so impressed with the whole town... it must be seen... You will get shocked with the prices and the quality of food. You get huge portion for 3 4 pounds... it is definitly a must...

I love Prizren, it’s my favourite place in Kosova to visit. Loads of places to eat good food. The Sinan Pasha Mosque is definitely a major site to visit in Prizren.

The Central Mosque of Prizren City is e very suitable place to pray for people that are in main centre of the city for a coffee or just fir a walk. The mosque has a wonderful backyard with gift shops and a sweetshop to have a Turkish Tea or a coffee with your favourite cake.

Nice to drop into and for a quiet space in the city.As a woman, I had to be fully covered from neck to ankle and also have my head covered with a scarf. All perfectly reasonable, given that it’s a Mosque.Interior is nicely decorated with a beautiful chandelier. Not the prettiest Mosque I’ve been to, but quite nice.
