Simply Thai Bistro in West Chicago

First time order: Pot stickers, Tom Yum soup and Ginger Beef. Food was excellent! Received at least 10 pot stickers, choose no chicken or shrimp in soup (spice level 3but would add one or the other next time, generous portion of beef (spice level 2with a delicious sauce. Being able to choose spice levels was so nice and they were spot on with the soup having a lot of heat at 3 but still tolerable. We will definitely order again!

Always prompt and a beautiful dinner experience both dinning in or take out. The food is delicious and you can tell it’s authentic! Cost can seem expensive but the portions are very generous.

This was our first time ordering.The food was very fresh tasting, rhe portions were much larger and not lacking in ingredients as some do lately.Sesame chicken was yummy, cashew chicken and Nam Pod tasty and fresh.We loved the egg rolls and pot stickers!We have been looking for a better quality of fresh Thai food, and we will definitely order again..

First time eating here. The owner is extremely friendly and really takes care of the customers. I had the seafood special and it is by far the best Thai food I have ever had. Absolutely delicious. The sauce was a perfect balance of sweet and salty and all of the ingredients were very clearly totally fresh definitely nothing frozen. Amazing

The Pad See Ew noodles were good. I liked the dance music/ mixes they played. The ambiance was nice. The customer service was good.

Everything I had was excellent. I asked for nothing to be spicy and that was no problem. Spring rolls come with great peanut dipping sauce. The soup was so good.

I’ve been coming here for the past 4 years. The food is excellent. Their Thai Fried Rice is my favorite. Sometimes when I’ve needed to study, I’ll have lunch, get a Thai Iced Coffee, then stay for the afternoon to read at my table.

I love Simply Thai in Wheaton. Im a local and a regular. Lovely place. Lovely people. Great thai food.

The kung pao chicken hardly had any chicken- 6 tiny tiny tiny pieces of chicken (was just mostly filled with vegetablesandVolcano shrimp fried rice just had 4 small pieces of shrimp…with huge chunks of tomato that was not cut and was oddly sweet even though asked for spicy and asked for highest spice level

One star only to write this review. I’ve been coming here for over a year and never had an issue till today. First off, they gave me the wrong change back. When I asked about it, she said I gave her something else which still didn’t add up to what she gave me in return. I asked for a receipt and she refused to give me a receipt. I asked for chili sauce to which I was denied as well. Never had I had an issue even asking for chili sauce all the times coming here. Not coming back.

Super tasty! I was craving basil fried rice but recently moved to the area and the place I usually go to is 45 mins away... Took a chance and was not disappointed. Ordered takeout, portions were generous, everything seemed fresh, and it was super cute inside. Will absolutely be back.

Both times I’ve ordered recently have been wonderful. Favorite Thai spot in the area! Great egg roles, Melanie chicken, and green curry. I like spicy food and the 1 to 2 spice range is about perfect for me.

Right in downtown Wheaton.Was concerned about the food having MSG, but their menu guarantees there is none used. Very important to me since MSG will produce a migraine.Nice to eat at a Thai restaurant again without wondering if I am going to get sick.Would definitely go back.

Simply Thai has a fantastic atmosphere, it does not feel like you’re in Wheaton. It’s comfortable, well decorated, and the food is delicious. I ordered pot stickers expecting 6 and got TEN, which were delicious, and my friends liked their food too. The service was fantastic.

The mango sticky rice is homemade deliciousness and the dumplings are phenomenal, a definite must try. 10/10. Also everyone was very nice and helpful ! Best Thai food I’ve ever had and would highly recommend.

My new favorite Thai food! The red curry was amazing, just the right amount of zing and so tasty. You gotta come here!

I have lived across the street for ten years and I am so glad I waited this long to go. I would be BROKE!Food was amazing, the man and woman who served us were incredibly hospitable. The ambiance was also artfully cozy, but also a bit lively with the music. Great contrast.Truly, I wish I could give six stars.P.S. splurge on the iced coffee. Delicious!

Moved to California recently and I really miss this place! They have amazing Panang curry, brown basil sauce, and yummy pad Thai. Highly underrated and should be much more known!

Best Thai food in the area! We looked for a long time after living in Seattle where the Asian food is really good, and this is the only place that lived up to our expectations.

Simply Thai is the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I love this place. I moved to the DC area two years ago and I make my mom bring it to me every time she visits because it’s so good. In an international city like Washington DC, I can’t get Thai that even compares to Simply Thai. Get the green curry and spring rolls. I promise you won’t regret it.

20 bucks for a pint of panang curry and a small steamed rice.....yeah not going here again. Also the panang curry had corn kernels, carrot slices and peas in it....tasted more like a spicy American Thanksgiving then a Thai dish.

Amazing depth of flavor on the Melanie Chicken, sticky rice is great. 6/5 stars, really really good.

A fantastic lunch experience. Beautiful indoor setting. Friendly staff. Good was very flavorful and fresh. Had Rama Noodle (great match of sweet & spice in the peanut sauce& Beef Broccoli (wonderfully cooked and very tender). Generous portion size. Get out and support the local restauranteurs!

I wasnt pleased with the spicy chicken they have as chefs special highlighting thats the hottest item they have unfortunately that wasnt hot and tasted more sweet to me however we liked all other items that we ordered. Probably you might need to set the right expectation for some of those items

Simply Thai Bistro has been our go to for Thai food since they opened. Whatever we have ordered has been consistently great. Ordering on the phone or on their website is super easy and you can customize heat level. Whether dining in or picking up take out their service is courteous. Were so glad theyve stuck around thru the pandemic!

Food was ok. It was supposed to be spicy, but it wasnt.

Chili chicken was good, Pad Thai was mediocre as it barely had flavor.Service was decent but their estimate for take out time was totally off. I was told it would be ready in 1 hour but I got my food after 1 hr 40 minutes. This is with me picking up the food. Not delivery

Egg rolls came with no sauce. Called restaurant to make sure egg rolls come with sauce. The woman manager said yes. When i told her the order came with no sauce, she said and u quote, "So? Its just a little sauce." So if you want rude unprofessional staff who dont care about giving you what you pay for, go to this dump.

Surprisingly delicious. By that I mean, that we recently moved from the Seattle area where great Asian food is pretty common place, and we were delighted to find a Thai restaurant near home that is on par with previous experiences. The pad Thai is quite tasty, and if you ask for spice, they give you spice! All this aside, my favorite thing from here is actually the iced Thai tea. Perfectly balanced on sweetness with what I think is a hint of vanilla. Well definitely be back.

Today’s lunch was probably one of the best to go meals we have had in awhile. The pad thai, pot stickers and chicken satay were fresh and so good. Great option! Looking forward to dining in soon.

Ive eaten lots of Thai food in my life, and this was simply not on my top five by any means. Very nice people food wasnt horrible but definitely not fire and delicious! Spent 50 dollars and wouldnt go back. But this is my personal opinion, its worth try trying once, but as it measures up against other Thai food its not not that good at all.

I love this place is amazing I loved the fresh cooked food and friendly kind staff. I came in with my girlfriend and we felt so welcomed. She was out doing a real estate showing and later we came into this great restaurant. We are from Chicago and this was the best place ever.

Got takeout and it was incredible. It tasted amazing and had great portions. Very spicy, very flavorful, generous amounts of protein. Would definitely recommend, would definitely go back!

Among the best Thai food in the area. Large menu selection. Good level/range of spicy options. Lots of vegetarian options. Never seem to be many people dining in, but service is good. Seems to do a lot of carry-out orders. The owner/manager always seems to be there when we dine in, and he always checks on food/service.

My husband ordered the spicy duck which was spicy just the way he likes it. We also got the pad see ew and it was chock full of colorful crisp fresh veggies and tofu & shrimp which very delicious. I just could not finish it because it was so much!

Absolutely love this place! We order from here like twice a month. Always consistently delicious. We love getting chicken pad se yew, pork fried rice and their fried chicken. We usually take out. Inside the restaurant is cozy. Best Thai place in the area. Also VERY authentic.

Hopefully was a off night. I ordered the chicken pad thai and had trouble not only finding the chicken but the sauce and noodles were subpar. Also had the cashew chicken, no flavor. The hot tea was excellent and you are loved to bring your alcohol.

Far too often, suburban Thai restaurants sacrifice flavor for heat. Simply Thai Bistro in Wheaton doesnt make that trade-off. The green curry I had was hot AND flavorful! The papaya salad was fragrant, tangy, and the right amount of sweet. My wifes Pad Thai was uniquely delicious. Simply Thai Bistro was simply the best Thai restaurant weve ever been to in Chicagoland.

We have dined in for this restaurant. The person who was taking the order doesn’t understand English very well. He didn’t take the order correctly. We ordered a soup, veggie and chicken dish. The soup was ok but the other two are a disaster. They didn’t taste any good. It wasn’t spicy too, when asked for spicy they simply added flakes of red chilli, this explains it is not authentic. We ended up eating only small portion of it and threw the rest. Sorry to say, I’m definitely not going to come back.

Take out. Owner was present and very friendly. Food was good. Nice flavors in basil chicken and curry chicken. Portions were small for price. But location location location. Will be back.Update: Went back. Don’t know what happened. Everything was SWEET, I think I actually felt the granulated sugar. Sorry to say, I won’t be back.

I recently have been here twice in a2 week span, love it, a little sweet on some dishes. But they have gluten free Thai Fried Chicken, and most everything can be made Gluten free. No problems after either. Very friendly, great food.

This restaurant has really blossomed. Fine decor, excellent service, absolutely mouth watering cuisine. "Its bigger on the inside." Look for it between Adelles and the Wheaton Center garage.

This place was ok. Very friendly staff! My order was accurate. My only issue was that all of the sauces that came with my chicken dishes tasted very very fishy. It was not to my liking and not what Im used to at my regular Thai restaurants.

Without hot water anywhere I not only could not wash my hands but also wondered how the cleaning was done. Food was good but cooled off so fast due to the rooms temperature. Not a good first visit due to the environment but the people were very nice. Might be much better in warmer weather.

First time here and we loved the restaurant! I havent had really great Thai food since we left Houston and I am happy to report that this restaurant is just as good. The restaurant is clean and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back!
