Simply Asia - Stellenbosch in Noorder-Paarl

I placed an order over the phone and was told it will take 5 minutes to make. I thought that sounds a bit fast but if you say so. I start heading there because I knew it will take me 15 minutes to get there.when I get there they haven’t even started with my food. my Uber was waiting and I had a work call starting in 20 minutes so I really wasn’t prepared to wait. I was told food usually takes 10-15 minutes. So why was I told 5 on the phone? Most of the staff members looked unapologetic and were quite dismissive. The one guy seem to feel genuinely sorry and tried to do something about it. I had to leave because there was no way I could wait. I always have problems with this simply Asia because even when I order on their app or Uber eats I always find I am waiting an hour for my food to arrive. I just find the service extremely poor.

Just ordered the chicken in tamarind sauce via uber eats. It was horrible to say the least. My unions were burnt aswell as the chicken. The chicken also tasted sour and off. Pretty sure I wouldve gotten salmonella if I continued eating. Terribly disappointed.

Ordered take away via uber eats 19h20.More than once the delivery time was moved up until 21h00 when we got a message that the order has been canceled.Phoned, just to hear that nothing is working including the generator. Come on, by now everybody should have made a plan when its loadshedding.Unbelivable, now I only hope we get our money back. And be sure we will never order from Simply Asia Stellenbosch again. To many changes given already for this wasnt our first bad experience with them.

You will do yourself harm in ordering at this Simply Asia. Close your branch. You cant seem to answer your phones. Ordered after phoning 5 times, waited 75 minutes, walked into the kitchen to check on my order myself. Close your branch. Absolutely disgusting.

First 1 star Ive ever given. Just wow. Waiting hours and hours for food, noone answers the phone when you follow up and when they do they are so dismissive. Never again!

Always consistent and the food is always well prepared and served 😋

Pretty authentic & takes me back to my Thailand memories!Just don’t buy their Roti it’s always under-cooked & oily. Not nice at all.

We were recommended to try this place for Thai food. It was not great, the flavors were definitely not authentically Thai, or even Asian, had the taste of synthetic, mass produced fast food, even the soya sauce had a chemical flavor. The Satay sauce was tasteless and the duck noodles with peanut sauce were tough and disappointing. The filling in the duck spring rolls was questionable and the vegetable spring rolls were inedible. The ginger was almost red instead of pale pink. Desserts were saturated in sugar - condensed milk and brown sugar rotis or banana!!! Or chocolate spring rolls. A recipe for instant diabetes. Definitely NOT going back for a repeat performance!

Terrible service - after calling multiple times and no one answering their phone, the order was refused. The staff are HIGHLY unorganised and rude. Definitely never coming here again.

Disappointing to find out that the waiter did not want to take in more orders due to the restaurant being in full capacity when it clearly was not.The waiter was also rude. Sadly it was completely unacceptable.

Phoned 4 times to get a take away but they wouldn’t answer their phones. We then decided to go in and order and then the server at the till spoke to me in such a Condescending tone when I asked for a takeaway. Apparently only one chef works on a Tuesday so orders can take up to one hour so the server said to me that they didn’t really want to take my order. If he explained it nicely and not in a nasty tone I would’ve been fine but now I’m so put off I never want to order from this Simply Asia ever again.

We ordered takeaways. Although the menu, at first glance, was a little confusing, the gentleman from whom we ordered was very helpful and took his time to explain everything. This positive approach alone will make me go back in the future.

Waiting for 30 minutes for your #514 favourite Simply Dish is absolutely worth every flavourful delicious morsel. Love it !!

Great Food and so fresh! We love Simply Asia!

The cashew chicken noodles are insanely lekker. It felt like I had just watched a Muy Thai fight in Bangkok and celebrated Saenchai’s win while listening to the Wai khru ram Muay. Highly recommend.

Simply Asia, I had the tom yum soup for my sinus, flavourful. The babana fritter with really good. Enjoyed it.

Ordered food while on the road in Franschoek. Order was ready and waiting when we got to Stellies.

Waited 2 hours for my food delivery. Then they closed and I didn`t get my food. The technical support from their app was at least somewhat helpful.

Vir nie been waiting almost an hour for a simply take away order for two people! There some patrons and delivery men who have been waiting even longer. The excuse: only one chef on duty. A shambles...I tried to cancel , but then there was a problem to refund me. Eventually got the food after 80 minutes

I got the 256 chicken in peanut sauce with large rice noodles for an Uber Eats - the chicken was quite nice but the noodles were all really tightly stuck together in one big mass.

Love the food. Service was good. Food is freshly cooked after you place the order. Highly recommended if you like Thai food.

They do large reservations for big get-togethers. The food was on par with the franchises quality elsewhere as well. Corkage is quite cheap as well.

We ordered x2 514 noodles in Stellenboschfor delivery. The one order had almost no chicken and both were extremly hot although we actually ordered mild. We have been supporting Simply Asia for many years and we are very disappointed.

This Simply had the most insensitive waiter helping out today.She is a con artist of note and is a massive embarrassment to the brand.I will advice all tourists to not visit this branch of Simply Asia as this does not know the menu or is able to know what they have in stock.They are out of large bottled water and chicken at 3pm in the afternoon

Really friendly staff that makes you feel welcome and well looked after. Food is amazing with a nice variety of selections available. Atmosphere is relaxing and on a quiet part of town. Pricing is a little high however.

The expected speedy service was appreciated. Unfortunately the dish 265 Tender Chicken in Peanut Sauce did not have all the ingredients and was cold. My food 324 Massaman Curry was very tasty.

Food is always great, but the service is sometimes a bit slow. In all fairness to them they do get a lot of Uber take away orders. So if you go there do not be in a hurry and you will have a good time! Good value for money.

Vast menu with good pricing on their options. The spice levels are on the milder side, however good experience overall. Service was prompt and helpful to accommodate large numbers.

I want to commend the new staff/management/owners of Simply Asia Stellenbosch. The past few deliveries/orders have been the most amazing ever! There is a marked improvement in the quality of the food and it is delicious. The few orders I have done in the restaurant - the staff are friendly and efficient. A well deserved 5 stars. Keep up the amazing work!

Always a pleasure to visit. This time I had the Thai chicken with salsa and it was delicious although my all-time favourite is a beef 514. Inside and outside seating to choose from. Weve never booked and have always been lucky enough to get a table. Its a small restaurant so I would suggest booking or doing take-aways.

Was great until last week when taken over by head office...now it has a manager from hell with zero customer relationship skills whatsoever...I have been supporting them weekly for my whole family...a big bill believe me...for years...they have lost me for good

Not the best ambiance around, but the food is always well prepared and good quality. When we order for pick-up service is very fast as well.

Oh so good food... They have Uber eats which is great if you need delivery, quality of the food is great, atmosphere could use some work (no background music just staff noise)

Premium Asian food, focusing mostly on Thai dishes, this place is wonderful for anyone wanting bold, aromatic foods such as wok stir fry with glazed checked cooked in peanut oil etc

Food was exceptional as usual...but no Heineken beer was unfortunate. (Only 1 type of Basil seed drinks tooServers were good...cleared tables promptly. Were friendly and did what was needed. Service was good. Food great. Still tempted to try other dishes....but always go back to the same dishes previously chosen.

Didnt have cool drinks, didnt have the correct noodles. Surprised they had anything for us to eat at all. Food was sub par when it came.

The food is great, but the restaurant has no atmosphere. Weve arrived there on multiple occasions to find the staff members sleeping/ lying down in the restaurant. They also do not serve coffee anymore, since their machine broke over a year ago.

Absolutely horrible! You are seated and only once your drinks are brought to you, you are told there is a 40minute wait. Unacceptable. You should be told before you sit down and recieve drinks. Also, there are more takeout meals going out the door in a shorter time than customers being served at the tables! If you want to eat here, rather order takeouts, you will most probably get "served" quicker.I will NOT come back here again.

Worst experience ever! Had no ice or back up plan on a very hot day. Staff not very helpful or friendly. Expensive drinks and food for mediocre service.

The food is very good, but this particular branch doesnt serve sushi anymore. It gets quite busy during lunch, especially on days when there are promotions (currently Mondays and Tuesdays), so expect a bit of a wait then.

Seriously a bad experience. The food is good, but the staff yelling at each other and having a domestic in the kitchen kinda ruins the ambiance
