Amazing array of cured meats and cheese. The mortadella in particular was the best cold cut Ive ever had.

Excellent wine (recommend the Sangiovese red wine although it is a bit on the sweet sideand great prosciutto crudo. Service also very friendly.

The waiter was super helpful and the food was delicious. Definitely a must when coming to Bologna!

We had the Royal Charcuterie and Cheese. It had a delicious collection of meat and cheese (my favorites were the ham and the pink mortadella). We also had jam which was nice. Prices are a bit high. Nice employees.

I got a Mortadella sandwich for 4 euros. Was delicious and more than enough for a snack.

Delicious food! We walked into a small passageway filled with restaurants and stopped at this place. We had the cheese and meat platter, definitely a recommend. Service was excellent as well

Amazing food. Got the charcuterie and cheese jumbo platter w/ family, all cheeses aged perfectly and meat finely cut. Also did a cheese tasting, and the quality of the 36 m/o was perfect. Definetely worth the trip to Bologna just for this alone.

Truly a temple of meats and cheese! It was quite busy during lunch but we were seated almost immediately. The staff were friendly and attentive. The cheese and meat plate was more than enough for two people, good selection of wines too. Good atmosphere overall.

Located right off of Plaza Magiore, this Salumeria was a fantastic place to get a taste of the authentic  charcuterie of Bologna.The service was fantatsic, our waiter took the time to explain the drinks and wines on offer. Suggestions were also given for the different platters available.We came twice to enjoy a pre dinner appertiv and enjoyed the mortadella platter and mixed meats platter.The location was incredibly lively where you can sit, drink, nibble and people watch into the evening!

This place is must have in Bologna. There have the Best meat and chees From region. Bread is crunchy outside and soft inside. I could eat there very day.

Good place to sit, drink aperol and eat mortadella. They offer some nice sandwiches and meat + cheese plate. We took the medium size for 22 euros, and it was more than a good snacks. Pretty good portion. The service is fast and waiters are friendly. I recommend if you have an hour for relaxing in Bologna

Best sandwich Ive had in years! I had the porchetta, burrata and salsa verde sandwich and it was delicious. Great service and they were really accomodating of me not speaking Italian. Their full deli down the road is amazing, too - both are must-visit spots if you are in Bologna!

Definitely the best place in Bologna for sitting in and tasting Mortadella, Salame Rosa, Prosciutto, Panchetta, Pecorino and Parmeggiano with a glass of white Riesling. 👌

Amazing salumeria at the heart of the quarteto. The charcuterie is amazing, but it can become pricey to stop here (I would recommend it thou).We had a beer, a glass of wine and small tagliata and spent €27, bit their products are clearly high quality, so you know.

We enjoyed the friendly, prompt, helpful service. The cheese platter was better than the charcuterie platter, but obviously a matter of personal preference. Decent panini and charcuterie boards, however I wanted to try something different and ordered the Roast beef special and ended up with really dry cuts, as if they were near the ends of the beef. Nothing special and cost us 9€ :/ Definitely had better roast beef from my Italian deli in Brooklyn, New York.

Everything was perfect . It was our first time in Bologna and this restaurant. They helped to choose best specials. They were quite helpful.

A great option for tasting regional products in the heart of the city. It has a very good variety of wines and the charcuterie platters are exquisite. It also has a terrace in one of the liveliest streets in the city.

Highly recommend. The mortadella is amazing wether you order a panini or a charcuterie board. They have menus in english and the staff is is super friendly.The highlights are the mortadella 360, the tortellino di pane, and their squaquerone cheese. If you cant decide, and want to try a bit of all their cuts please order a board, you wont regret it. Their spritz has a nice special touch as well.

Delicious local cured meat and cheese. The mortadella truffle pate was AMAZING. Friendly staff, warm heaters, great wine.

The cheese and ham platter was just mouthwatering and as good as it looks. Chinotto, a kind of bitter lemon made of local produce is also pleasant. The waiter explained the origin of each and the whole experience was nice.

The mortadella served here is so thin and tasty. Order a pickled trio and spritz Bolognese to wash it down!

Wonderful service and delicious drinks and food. The charcuterie and cheese platter was a delightful selection of meats that were delicate and not overwhelmingly salty. Our server explained all the different cuts of meat and cheeses to us upon serving. The spritz was also delicious.

Wonderful place. A narrow, busy street full of atmospheric places and people. And the best place is Simoni Laboratorio. Great Parma ham, Parmigiano Regiano and local wine. You can forget yourself by tasting these specialties. A must-have place in Bologna.

The perfect place if you want to try different types of salumi and formaggi and then by the very same quality! Tables outside and inside, a varied wine list (bottle and glass), lots of choices for the apperitivo or a full meal! Don’t forget to buy your preferred piece of salumi or cheese !!!!

A fantastic restaurant specialising in Bologna cold cuts, parmigiano reggiano, various cheeses and balsamic vinegar. We visited a few times and the service was exemplary on each occasion with the staff explaining each product with passion. The cheese board was superb with each cheese coming from a specific artisinal producer. The charcuterie board was also fantastic with a selection of 18 to 24 month aged meats. Along with the restaurant there is a separate adjacent shop selling an even wider selection of products. Highly recommended

The maps on the wall displayed the different cheeses, breads, and wine you could find in Emilia-Romagna. We did a Parmesan tasting. The bread with Mortadella inside is a must have. The meat platter was divine.

Hidden in the small alley near the main square of Bologna so called "The Quadrilatero" (which you must not miss!!!), Simoni serves variety of meat, cheese and wine. Its the restaurant local people and visitors (like mehang out after work, buy fresh groceries and so forth.Friendly staff, very helpful and pay attention the details. Very professional. You can discuss with the staff what you like, they can customize the dish for you.Also recommend to try the local Bolognese wine.5 stars.

It should get 5-stars if it was not for the huge crowd when I was there. Maybe it was because I was there at lunch time. Or maybe it’s Just a touristic area. Otherwise it’s a good place to sip your wine and taste your salami. I was also not happy that they didn’t allow me to choose amazing salami types. They force you to a pre-selected plate, which includes some types that I don’t like.

It was our first meal after arriving in the morning. We had royal mix platter with regional ham and cheese, with Sangiovani red wine. It has picture of all speciality food in this area and good introduction of local food.Very friendly staff and helpful.

Attentive and kind service/wait staff, along with thoughtfully presented, delicious meat and cheese plates. I came here for antipasti before going to another rstaurant for dinner and the smaller of the two antipasti plates was the perfext appetizer size for two. Quite a unique experience - I highly recommend it.

Quick service, great cheeses and salumis. We had a variety of "panini" and "formaggi" Nice place to take a break and snack on something while touring Bologna centro storico. Dont forget to try the typical mostarda bolognese/ ravioli di San Giuseppe filled with a special jam, not mustard as the name suggests.

Great little spot in heart of Italys food capital. Perfect spot to try mortadella and an aperol. Loved it. In the best food street to have leisurely walk sampling the best if Bologna.

This place was our food highlight in Bologna. Lots of great places to eat but the salami, ham and cheese platters here were brilliant. Service was great and all the waiters spoke English. They even gave us tips of where to eat in Rome. If you go to Bologna - dont miss this place!

Davide Simoni and his girlfriend, Giulia, have created a bespoke Bolognese culinary laboratory situated middle of Via Pescatore at the heart of the Piazza Maggiore city center. Davide, a disciple of The famous Salumeria Simoni just around the corner, converted the back of the old Santa Maria Della Vita church into this popular gastronomic haven just a couple years ago. The perimeter is lined with all the traditional delights of the region. All is complimented by Giulia, the baker, who produces the most exceptional focaccia in all Italy and a Pasta Fagiole which could have made my grandmother buckle at the knees. This is a most visit authentic adventure while in Italy. And don’t miss a bottle of the local Sangiovese!

This place is a hidden gem in the very center of the city. It is as unpretentious as it is delicious. Great selection of cold cuts and cheeses at very reasonable prices. On top of that you get friendly and attentive service, eager to explain the delicacies to both Italian and foreign visitors.
