An excellent spot to stop in for a latte and some baked goods. Meals arent too expensive either!

Love,love,love this unique patio in the park. The staff are super friendly and the food is always great.

Great location, good coffee but Ive been there three times and they werent making things off the menu and the baked goods werent good. Really dry like they were days old.I plan on trying one more time when they reopen in the Spring, hopefully it will be better.

We love this place. Everything is delicious. 4 stars for accessability.My husband uses a cane now.He cannot walk that far from the parking lot, and lots of panhandlers and mentally challenged people you have to be on lookout as well, specially during Summer month.

The food is fresh and delicious. My iced mocha coffee was wonderful and being Seated on The Veranda looking over the water is a wonderful enhancement to the experience.

Start by saying the patio is a beautiful spot on the water, next to a popular bike path. Unfortunately the place is surrounded by homeless, tents, a needles garbage bin. This place has no washroom so you have to use the public washrooms steps away, which we did not feel safe using. The restaurant gets a bad review because we were told it would be a 25 minute after ordering (slow enough already), after 45 minutes of being very patient and waiting we decided to ask for an update. Our order was missed and they hadnt even started. Patio was cold and the baby with us was already pushing nap time so we decided to leave hungry.

Best location & great food. Always a good choice.

Great tasting food & drinks, friendly service.Wifi is solid and lots of outdoor patio seating.

My husband had a stroke in Feb and was in hospital for 6 months. The Silver Bean Cafe was all he talked about when he got out. And here we are on our first outing having lunch. The Silver Bean Cafe does not disappoint. Thank you for a memorable experience.

Staff is welcoming, fast service with a smile! Fruit bowl was fresh, and the two-egg omelette with optional additions, and toast all very tasty.

Stopped here for a quick bite on a road trip between Ottawa and Toronto. Im so glad we made this stop! The cafe patio had lots of space with such a quaint vibe. All of our food was delicious and very fresh, and it was very reasonably priced to boot! Well be back!

Beautiful location on the river, lots of shady seating in the outdoor patio. My favourite spot is under the willow tree in the back. Food and drink selection is great, ice cream is a nice treat on hot summer days. Friendly staff - thank you!

We stopped here on our bike ride for cappuccino and snack because my girlfriend raved about it on a prior visit.They are still completely Covid freaked with masks and one group at a time to order. Worse than that they sent our order to another table without us knowing, after 15 minutes we inquired and that’s what we were told - 10 minutes later our 2nd rushed order cam with a weak apology and a free ice cream voucher we will leave behind.We visit a lot of cafes but won’t be back to this one ! 👎

Great view of the river! I love Grilled panini here. But served foods is too slow everytime, i always only wanted to have with my HOT coffee.

Love sitting outside on the patio looking over Little Lake. The food was delicious(three of us had the pear, ham and cheddar pennini with the strawberry lemonade). The only challenge is their own washrooms are still closed. So you have to use the public ones down the path a bit. Still a great place in the heart of downtown Peyerborough.

Peaceful place to sit by the water and listen to wild life. Service is excellent and the dood superb

Food good enough, but the best part was being able to kayak there! Priceless.

Could have used the scone for a hammer. Sent it back and all they did was heat one up. Coffee was good and the fruit cup was a good surprise. Staff was great. Coconut ice cream was good also.

One of the very best coffee spots in the city. Coffee is excellent, but their breakfast and lunch menus are exemplary. I had a bagel with cream cheese on my last visit, and I kid you not, the cream cheese was piled half an inch thick in places! Unreal. ^_^ Their salads and sandwiches are also delicious, and they have a wide range of baked goods and Kawartha Dairy ice cream. And nothing beats sitting by the river!

Silver Bean is fantastic! Not to mention the best venue for summer events! The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere and environment are just beautiful.

Food was great. But dont drink too much because they dont have washrooms for customers. How can they even do that?

This place is just amazing, knocked my socks right off. Food - SCRUMPTIOUS, drinks(Italian soda- couldn’t be beat. Thank you to all the amazing staff, you made my year❤️. Looking forward to my next visit!

The food is delicious! A variety of options for all preferences and restrictions. The coffee tastes better than anywhere else as the scenic views of Little Lake bring out the flavours to perfection. A must visit!

The view cant be beat in Peterborough. But we found the food just ok. Cheese came congealed which means they hadnt just cooked it. But Id still recommend the place for the view alone.

Beautiful location, but overpriced for lack luster food and very overpriced for coffee.What i ordered: 2 sweet potato burritos & 2 coffeesPrice: It came to $45 before tip.Burritos: The "burritos" were severely under-seasoned and were also served cold. They should be classified as a wrap as with it saying burrito would imply it would be warm. I found the item description to be misleading to the final product that was served.Coffee: Was quite good but paying $8 for each was not worth it.They have a ton of seating where they bring your food to you but because no one checks on you after you receive your food there is no opportunity to talk to anyone regarding any mistakes or issues that arise. If there are people in the order line it makes in next to impossible to go inside to chat with anyone about it either.Due to the error in the order of one of the burritos and the complete tastelessness in both, neither were consumed past 1-2 bites.Underwhemled to say the least.

Really great food, smoothies and pastries! And sitting outdoors on their terrace on a beautiful day is just the icing on the cake!

Plan to wait double what they say. I ordered for my 4 and 5 year old kids. Not too busy. They said 25 mins. Ok, fine. It took 50 mins for the food to arrive and that was after complaining.

Went for lunch with my wife. The food is filling, tastes delicious and feels healthy!Like a homemade meal on a deck overlooking the water. I could easily recreate that... if I had a deck overlooking the water. Its a great place to eat after a nice walk along the river.

A beautiful venue, with delicious healthy food, generous portions at very fair prices. Whats not to love!?We visited during a nice fall Monday on Thanksgiving. Very friendly staff, and lots of space to sit outside.

Great little coffee place with a nice selection of ice cream. The sitting area next to the water is breathtaking. One thing I have to mention is that the area is crowded with homelessness.

We absolutely love Silver Bean. The breakfast is actually homemade and their Americano and Cappuccino was divine! The location is out of a post card, right on the water and so peaceful. Excellent service and delicious food. We got ice-cream afterwards which was also top-notch. PISTACHIO ALMOND!!

We waited a while for our food, but the cafe made it right without us mentioning the delay. The staff were very friendly. Everything was very fresh with generous portions. Dog friendly patio. Prepare to park slightly off-site (very short walk).

Really good food but the process of lining up to order and then someone bringing out your food and having to line back up if you want another drink is strange. It would be worthwhile for them to just hire proper waitresses.

Employees are very polite and friendly and the cafe is in a gorgeous area so its just an al round amazing experience going to the cafe :❤ and might I add the portions of the ice cream are so worth it 💯

Nice cafe by the waterfront. Other than the wasps there is nothing coming between you and a nice peaceful meal. Four stars for the ambience and three for the food. We had breakfast there - two eggs on toast. Would have loved some breakfast potatoes and sausages but it wasn’t an option.

Great lunch spot in Peterborough, right on the water. Sandwiches are delicious and so are the cookies and coffee. Free WiFi as well, and cheerful friendly staff

Visited the silver bean cafe for a quick breakfast and ended up spending over an hour just sitting by the lake.We tried their eggs and toast, cilantro burrito, coffee and hot chocolate. The food is simple and pleasant to have - but the ambience and the location help it transcend to the next level.If you have some time and would want to enjoy the sun before they close for winter this is a definite to visit place.

Such a pretty spot in town and good food too. Its the local go to for ice cream, or a good drink of strawberry lemonade. Sandwiches are good too, so definitely worth it for lunch.

Such a great spot for relaxing by the water in downtown. The food was fresh and very delicious. Lots of space to hang out with friends, or to just enjoy solo. I’ll be back for sure !

Went here with my family for a coffee on a Saturday afternoon, it wasnt busy. The service was very slow and our order was incorrect. That is ok mistakes happen. However, apparently a "small" is very, very small. I paid $4 for a kiddie cup. The drink itself was OK however. The seating outside is beautiful, but there were vagrants everywhere. Id recommend this place if you were walking in the park and didnt have a drink.

This is such a great place to stop with good coffee and food and you can sit outside on a large veranda overlooking the river. WiFi is good too. You can park free on weekends or free for one hour at the underground parking garage a 3 minute walk away along the river. Very picturesque.
