It doesnt have the welcome environment and all the designs, furniture is outdated. It was like I did a time travel back into 1980 and at some point when I walked to my room, it feels creepy. The room is spacious and like a five star hotel tho. Im shook that silka is under dorsett cause ya know, dorsetts standards are wayy higher than this n I was hoping that the room is at least up to date.

Hotel needs to upgrade the bed and pillow for comfort sleeping needs. The pillows are to thin and very soft. It does not support the head during sleeping.

A/C condition are very bad, still hot at the night. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel asked for more charges just because my wife vomiting on the sheets ( RM80??? seriously im very dispointed with this place. Another hotel much better than this. Ill make sure this is the first and last i stay in this hotel.

All the facilities provided are very good, the staff are friendly, especially the front office staff Imam Syaputra, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast menu is varied and tasty, the location is good in the middle of the city of Johor close to the mall. staying overnight here again anytime soon

The room got strong smoke smell. I call the staff to spray the room. The service and all is good with the price. The check in and checkout process took so long .I wish they can shorten that

Had taken studio rooms without window. Overall very good in comparison to other budget hotel in Johor.Improvement on Carpet cleaning of floor required & try to provide Shampoo.

Location of the hotel is good. Tesco is just a stone throw away and Giant is about 5 mins walk. Service staff not bad and the room itself quiet okay with average price. Overall, all basic facilities as swimming pool, gym and café were here for standard building

Stay overnight at Silka with friends . We managed to get the Superior room but were upgraded to Deluxe due to power tripped after 30 minutes checked in. Other than that everything seems to be fine without much hassle. Breakfast provided and the food served quiet good.

The staff were awesome and breakfast also nice. Its really a mere 5min walk to tesco. The bed was huge and comfy..free service for baby court..pool also great..really recomended.

Staying here every month. So far satisfy with the room arrangement. There is swimming pool, gym, garden, restaurant, room service available here. Thanks to the housekeeping department Manager (Ms Maswho always helpful to prepare a clean and fully equipped room for my monthly stay. Keep it up the great job to ensure all your guests satisfy and happy staying in Silly JB.

Spacious room for family suite. Kids really enjoyed at pool. Strategic location even a bit far from JB City. We will return, for sure. Very recommended.

Facade is outdated and the place looks tired and to some extent haunted. Oh well but what can you expect for this price point right?Staff were friendly and helpful. Room smelled musty and mouldy. Then again, for the price point, dont expect much.Ok for taking a hot shower, short overnight rest. Nothing more than that.Aircon in the room was very noisy.No towels in the room and we had to personally request for them. This might have been a housekeeping oversight.There was also no amenities in the room (shower cap, toothbrushand we had to personally request. No hairdryer as well.Overall an acceptable stay but I will not return simply because there are other hotels around the same price point that offers more.

I would definitely agreed with many guests that housekeeping r rooms to focus on improvement ... front liner was patient n more than friendly despite witnessed some guests were really unreasonable .... the property is dated n looks rundown from external but also noticed progressive reinvestment activities .... price was great .... if after renovation price remain I think it is going to be an best seller in JB .... keep it up the Silka team

Friendly staff.. But the room are not good enough.. 1 aircond doesnt work properly.. The bin are not covered with plastic.. Fridge arent cool.. No toiletries as per mentioned in the ads..

Silka hotel situated infront Tesco Extra Plentong, stayed for 4d3n, ordered room service foods feel quiet normal, breakfast too not to say much grand, just normal feelings, parking spot on the level 3 on different building, which is sharing with service apartments parking area, and need to use staircase, it is quite an exercise. Room price affordable, and normal spacious, bathroom is clean, waterheater works well, aircond super cool. TQ.

book a standard room without window but with a good bargain price. comfortable bedroom. nice hot shower. not much room amenities but ok for me since i have my own. good service from reception, they allow me to check in before 12 noon

got free parking beside hotel. also got big swimming pool. good and comfort room for my family. fast response from housekeeping. staff very helpful. nice breakfast also cheap for room service. sure will come again when my family arrive at jb.

Front desk is not friendly.Parking is far from the hotel, need to climb stairs.Need to wait for 5 minutes because security guard is not available to open the parking barrier to go out from the parking space.Very inconvenient.No hair drier & fridge in suite room.

big family room with 1 king bed, 2 twin bed. 2 bathroom and room is clean. got balcony. nice breakfast and cheap ala carte menu for room service but until 10.30pm. friendly staff all over hotel. near tesco, giant, pasar borong pandan which have lot thing to see at night.

First of all safety, their sloppy service gave us a card key which has someone occupying it. The poor girl occupying the room was shocked that we were able to get into their room !! This means their system is not secure and anybody will be able to enter your room !! They gave us another room but the key was faulty... my wife and I we were so tired having to go up and down because of their sloppy ignorant work attitude. The room had an awful pungent smell, the floor carpet was extremely dusty, overall it was a nightmare staying here. Not worth the money !!!

nice hotel for long term stay because near to hypermarket & restaurant . easy to access public transport etc grab, bus, taxi because near to bustop. value for money if stay here. room quite comfort for me. nice view & friendly staff. fast response from reception.

im stay with my family here. nice hotel & room. good service from reception & housekeeping. fast service from housekeeping. the best part for me is near hyper market like tesco & giant. easy for me buy something that i want. nice breakfast from checker cafe. my children also like the swimming pool . Recommended.

Good job.I stayed for 2 nights, for job purpose with my family come along.Everyone is friendly, service and respond time at good level.Room is huge,clean and enough for 3 adult, 2 child as I booked family suite. Its more than we expected compare to the price we paid. reasonable pricing in restaurant,fast service.Overall, good job silka.

We had to ask them to spray the room with as the smell of the carpet was really bad.Water heater does not work properly.They ask the customers to park at a separate parking on levels 2 and 3 with no elevator.One good thing I can mention is their buffet breakfast. worth paying the additional RM13 per person.

Since the Silka JB hotel is classified as a four stars hotel, I booked the cheapest room sure that the minimum level still adheres to the 4star standard. It was absolutely an error. The quality of the hotel is not even close to a 4 star hotel, so my first advise is that for the level of the hotel you can find something cheaper. Starting from the beginning of my experience, I arrived at the hotel 2 hours before the checkin time just to leave the baggage and explore the area. My reservation was not in the system and the room was not ready. not a problem since I was earlier for the check in. I came back at 14:00, time indicated as check in, and the room was not ready yet. At 14:00 from the reception were calling the house keeping to clean the room. Receptionists totally lost and confused in the scheduling of the work. I got the room and the level of cleaning was low. Dust next to the bed, no toilet paper. I shaved the first day and the day after you can still find hair in the sink. The left overs from the room service were collected after 2 days. The room was without window, no plugs next to the bed, impossible to disconnect the air-con during the night.It is claimed that the hotel has a swimming pool. Swimming pool is already a very generous classification and it is not in the same building of the hotel. You need to walk through the lobby, walk outside, reach another building, walk through a parking and reach the pool at the second floor. In one work: inconvenient.It takes 1 hour to reach the hotel from the central station with public transportation, but as positive point Tesco and another commercial center are 5 mins walking distance. Good internet connection the only remarkable point.

Horrible experience. We arrived to Silka 2 hrs before check in time, no one has information about our booking, what already raised some red flags. Anyways we went explore the area. Arriving back to the hotel at 14:00 the room still wasn’t ready. 4 receptionists in line absolutely clueless about our booking, finally decide to call house keeping to make the room ready for us. No apologies for caused inconvenience, no complimentary drink while waiting - nothing! Terrible service from very beginning.Once we managed to check in, the room was dirty, bedsheets with holes, blood stains on the wall, dusty and spider webs everywhere. No TOILET PAPER!!Water tap in the sink without hot water, only one power socket in the room, tv with few channels.Housekeeping is very sloppy, after shaving next day you still can find hair everywhere, the dirty plates from dinner in room, which were left outside the room, were collected only two days later.Don’t get fooled by nice pictures online. The pool is a joke, it’s not even located in the hotel. You literally need to walk two minutes through parking lot to another building complex to have a dip.Only pro of this hotel is two shopping centers near by. The location is okay if you are ready to spend approx 40 mins in public transport.

Rooms are clean, spacious and cozy.. Staff are friendly too. But the breakfast variety is limited then again still quite tasty.

Overall, it waa a nice stay. The service from check in to check out was excellent and friendly. Foods served for breakfast superb delicious. Its convenience that its near to supermarket and most important its near to my workplace. With affordable price, I will suggest my company to book this hotel everytime I visit.

We stayed at this Place for one night only.But then my experience was terrible as the bath room was stinking, and I had to keep the door closed for normal breathing.None of the plug points (Electrical Sockets)were in proper shape and I had to do a lot of circus to plug in my international adaptors .The only consolation was the Air conditioner which was a brand new split AC was wonderful and refreshing.The Dinner was excellent but the credit for which goes to the Chef who was part of our tour operator.

The toilet seat was sticky and covered in yellow urine stains. The toilet cover was broken. There was sand (soil?on the bed and underneath the bedsheets. The room smelt terrible upon walking in for the first time, my guess is carpets are musty and havent been vacuumed or deep-cleaned in a long time judging by the odour and colour. There was an air-freshener installed which activates once every hour or so even through the night and though that helped get rid of the smell temporarily, it disrupted our sleep and irritated our throats due to the strong smell. Obviously the room was very poorly maintained.

Small rooms. Food is ok and the prices are cheap in the restaurant (e.g.14rm for a fried rice). The bar used to be lively but its empty now on most days, it just doesnt have a bar atmosphere anymore. It doesnt have its own facilities (swimming pool etc), you have to walk over to the condo beside the hotel which the hotel has some sort of agreement with to allow its guest to use the condo facilities.

My 1st impression when reached this hotel is that its sort of like an apartment converted to a hotel.My deluxe room is roomy with balcony. There were bits of crackers on the carpets from previous guest but it was quickly attended by the staffs.All the staffs i encountered are very polite.The downside is the car park and swimming pool is located on a separate building adjacent to the hotel.

Have book the hotel for 2 days through agoda from 23/12/2017 to 25/12/2017. Have get all the booking ID number confirmed. Make our way to the hotel and the staff told us that the hotel is already fully booked. No hotel room for us and force us to go other hotel. We are not the only one to have this problem. They say the problem is not their hotel issue. U go and find your way out. Worst experience of all.

Love to give a 4 star if not for:-pool area and parking too far and not connected to lobby. Inconvenient for older folks and ppl with babies.-no elevators for easy access to parking bays.-lack of food outlets in and around the premises. A snack vending machine is available but charges are crazy.Apart from this the staff are too friendly and always greet with a smile.

The hotel has certainly improved with better ID at the lobby and amenities seemed to have been repaired especially the air-conditioners. However, breakfast quality has gone down. Car park is still not convenience as the back is always fully occupied with buses. Staff are courteous and efficient.

Hotel with apartment facilities. You can use the aoartment facilities like swimming pool and gym. The pool is considered big. The gym is very basic. If book online, please ensure there are rooms with window and rooms without window.

Rooms are ok to stay with calm and peaceful. We are small family with young child. Breakfast has good collection of items. Good hospitality and friendly staff. Only disadvatage is we need to travel little longer to see ksl city hall and legoland. They provide lunch and dinner also with reasonable price. Another noted thing was they didnt keep toothpaste and brush after room service. I had to tell them each and every day. They have swimning fascility too.

Rooms are extremely small but good for business traveler. Deluxe rooms get a lounge as well. Bar is small but fine. Restaurant is also small. The food is not crash hot but good enough if one does not feel going out for dinner/lunch. Room service available.

Pros:Spacious yet affordable "Business Executive" suite with a king bed, a sofa bed, 2 TVs and 2 bathroom! Friendly staff and clean room (and toilets). A good place to stay with your family. Another good point; its located next to Tesco Extra, for your convenience.Cons:Car parks are located in a separate building with no elevator. Highly advised that you drop your passengers and luggages first before parking the car.

I was lucky enough to stay in a business suite which was clean enough & the service was reasonable. Location is a bit of a problem because its sort of in the middle of nowhere.The breakfast was really ordinary and not suited to Western taste at all. Also my Chinese Malaysian wife wasnt a fan of the breakfast either.There is a bar which has a Filipino women singing modern Western songs eg. PINK (she was singing on a Saturday night, see hotel for nights of the weeks that she plays). I didnt get to see her but my parents thought she was awesome and the highlight if the there stay.Would try to find something better next time.

Not a big hotel but very cozy, which I like. They also have tennis & squash courts and free of hotel guests to use, apart from swimming pool! We also spent a day at Johor Premium Outlets. Room was clean. Food was great - chicken otak otak - excellent! The business suite I stayed has 2 full bath rooms, 2 TVs, quite unexpected. And it is close to Singapore. Definitely will see if I can go there again in my next trip to Singapore. ;-))
