Sileni Estates Winery and Cellar Door in Napier

The wine tasting was fantastic, with a good variety of exceptional wines in generous quantities. A big thank you to Lee, who was a friendly and knowledgeable guide.

Absolutely loved my visit to the Sileni Estates. Wine tour was great. Wine tasting and nibbles were even better. Our hostess was super informative about the wines. Such a great experience.

Apart of my Sperm Donation New Zealand tour I headed here Lee was a passionate host very vibrant but most importantly the wine was great!

We stopped here for a quick wine tasting before arriving Napier. Great experience, will go again a next time for sure

Excellent service, great wine

We visited this vineyard last Saturday over Easter. We experienced the worst customer service when we walked in the lady on was so rude our group bit our tongue and walked straight back out.We arrived at 11.30, before the rush. She was the only person on at that time so we understand the stress (although it wasnt busy at that time most of the tables were empty), but instead of saying please come back after 12.30 so we can provide tastings which is when the other staff apparently would be on she said "i just cant DEAL with you now come back after 12.30 in a really rude tone then kept repeating how we should have made a booking and it was the busiest day of the year. Who has one staff on for the busiest day of the year and on top of that talks to customers like that?? They also had no white wine chilled in the fridge!!!! They told the people in front of us they could only order by the bottle and then said none of their white wine was cold! I hope Sileni notes this down and gives this person customer service training because i am completely put off their brand now. I would never talk to a customer in that way or anyone.

Thank you so much for a great time at Selini! We loved the wines and the people here; this is truly a gem of a place! A special thanks to Dom, our sommelier, who walked us through the wines with great patience and a great sense of humour. I am sorry that I hadn’t heard of this place sooner, and I’m very much looking forward to visiting again. As a side note, it is a beautiful place to visit, a welcoming entrance, the tasting room and patio are beautiful, and we really felt well looked after here.

Amazing experience! My husband and I did the wine tasting here and had the deli platter to complement it. Everything was so tasty. I especially liked the Savignon Blanc and the Semillon but what made this a 5 star spot was the service. Chris was our server and he had such passion for wine making. We learned a lot from him and it just overall made our experience so pleasant. Be sure to pop by! Only $10 for the wine tasting and the cheese and meat board was $45. You bet that we bought some wine for the family back home!

The environment is very welcoming, and the staff make you feel at home. The selection of wines are good and if youre doing a tasting, the staff are really great at weaving the profiles to the origins of the wine. The atmosphere could be more invested, but its fine for a stop over.

Enjoyed our afternoon there with a platter and great beer & champagne.

Amazing afternoon High Tea. Beautiful set up and amazing catering supplied by Picinic in Ahuriri. Definitely recommend this event. And dont forget the wine. Perfect as always. A big thatnk you to the fabulous friendly staff.

Amazing evening yesterday at Sileni - a group of us arrived at 4:30 and stayed past closing, entertained with a generous amount of tastings and amazing hospitality. Would definitely recommend Sileni :(and a special shout out to our lovely servers!)

Popped into Sileni on a cycle today. The team were so friendly and provided us an incredibly interesting and informative wine tasting, with a beautiful cheese and meat platter. We then tried some of their wine and chocolate pairings (a new thing for themwhich were amazing! This was such a lovely thing to be able to do after lockdown for so many months, we had the best time! Would thoroughly recommend for awesome wine and food and great atmosphere.

WOW!!

I went on my birthday weekend and had a fabulous time. The wine was delicious and so was the banter with the sommelier. I would recommend dropping by for some quality wine if youre in the area.

Driving through, show up with 10 minutes till close and the cellar door says tastings are done because the old gal wants to go home. Poor attitude for a business!

Loved the wines here. The Sauvignon Blanc Circle 2013 is amazing and they Pino Noir. Expensive to buy, but you are experiencing a quality vinyard not a cheap supermarket.

Great for weddings

Very nice winery with a great host who made our visit interesting and tasty. The venue is amazingly large and has a shop to buy everything from cheese knifes, to cheese to glassware.

After touring 2 or 3 other vineyards it was nice to arrive at Seleni where Anne greeted us with a larger than life information and tasting session. She was enthusiastic had a story for each wine and just really seemed to know her stuff.I give Anne 5 stars and the wine 4 : Well worth the visit if youre in the area.

The staff at Sileni were cheerful and helpful, interested in hearing what we had planned for our weekend in Hawkes Bay, suggesting places of local interest eg: Sunday morning farmers market in Hastings.The shop has a varied range of gourmet food, glassware and original wooden trays made from wine barrels.The wine was excellent and tasting was relaxed and fun.Great place to visit.
