Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina - Tex-Mex restaurant in Manila, Philippines
Food is excellent and is really an authentic Mexican dish. Customer service is excellent. Dont really care about the atmosphere since the food and service makes it all up. 10/10 dining experience.
I think they need to upgrade their place. There is no question that their food is great and their service is okay. However, the ambience and ventilation is not that very much okay.
Not personally a fan of fusion cuisine but still had a good time with the food.
Very affordable. Their paella is very good. The best paella I’ve tasted so far.
We are supposed to eat "pares" nearby but our explorer friend, who is behind the wheels, took us in this place, unexpectedly. It may be unplanned but the food never failed to satisfy/please our palates. A plus point, the dishes are for sharing. 😉
Silantro does not skimp on the cheese! 🥰🧀
The chicken got smaller. Pero masarap pa rin, the sauce plus the cilantro and garlic sauce are perfect together! Beef nachos, still a winner! Support great food!
Tasty and surprisingly affordable. Authentic Mexican food in town! 💃
Still one of my go to place for a quick fix of Fil-Mex food. I just notice the consistency is a bit falling down the mark but the flavor is still there.
Nice food. Had the food to go when we arrived home it was not soggy or degraded. We got the nachos and the chicken wings
Authentic Mexican food at a premium price. The food is great with ample serving portions. Ambiance is ok, but they dont have a dedicated parking area. You will have to park your car at the roadside if theres an available slot.
Kinda disappointed with this Silantro branch. First, service sucks, big time.. servers took almost 10-15 minutes before they bring out what you asked them. Like, water, glass with ice, extra spoon and fork, and tissue. Their asking for a service charge where in i personally helped them accomplished everything we need in our table. The food wasn’t as good as before. I wont recommend dining at this branch. Try their mall branch instead, probably food taste better.. lets see, wil try their other branch soon.
Our neighborhood go-to soft taco place! We always order their soft tacos with beef, pork, lamb, or lengua + dinamita jalapeno rolls. Their sauces are one of a kind. The resto is always full on Sundays and it’s hard to park. They also only accept cash payments lately so it’s hard to have the meals booked or picked up via grab. I always order via text/phonecall and then i drop by to pickup my order. Most of the time the resto is undermanned so you have to ask for a favor if you can drive by and have them give the take out to you at your car. Otherwise you have to find street parking slots first and you’d need to go down and pickup the food yourself. Extra hassle if it’s raining. I wish it’d be more accessible to get orders here! If not for this, I’d give them a 5/5 :)
D best Mexi grub in town, just take a right at the mercury kapitolyo while at Shaw blvd then after the McDonalds take a left, silantro wud be around ten minutes down on the left! Try the Nachos for appetiser, then the burritos for main course! Hope 2 come back again! 🌯🌯🌮🌮
I rated this 5 stars 4 years ago since everything on their menu was good and their tables, chairs and dining area was new. Now it looks run down and they reduced the menu and the menu itself looks very worn out. They put service charge in the bill but I wasnt even served with table napkins and service water.I would go back for the food but the place itself looks worn out and service was not as great as before.
Still tasty and worth the price. The restaurant is very strict following proper covid-19 protocol. Although we are already in level 1, (at the time of my visitthey choose to follow 30% capacity and still requiring vaccination cards upon entry.Still recommendable!
parking may be a problem especially on busy hours but i love their nachos and paella!
Food was average. Quality befits the price range. Beef nachos is probably the best thing on the menu. However the service was the most disappointing. We asked for some extra raw onions but was told this was not possible and that there are onions in the salsa. We even offered to pay for onions but was told this was not possible... Would not recommend this place.
We loved this place a year ago but today it was rather unpleasant and we won’t be back. The table was cramped (my daughter is 4’9” and I am 5’7- and she could not keep her feet off of mine even though my heels were touching my bench seat). My husband had a hard time bending his knees enough even to get in the booth. The table was sticky, the salt/pepper shakers were sticky as well. The chips were stale or cheap store bought but not crispy (the ones served with salsa). In fact, we noticed another couple saying the same thing at a booth across from us. The entrees were fair for quality- the beef burrito was pretty dry (the meatand the rice was dry/crispy like it had been sitting outside of a steamer for a while. We ate here 3 times last year during a week long vacation and loved it but today was such a disappointment I can’t imagine coming back.
I like their Nachos, always, because I appreciate their good salsa and beef. But thats all. They have terrible dine-in experience during our visit. Music is so bad and loud and they still have lame glass barriers on their tables. Most of the stuff in the menu is not available.Place is not clean and looked unkept. Is this branch closing soon?
The nachos were generous in serving. The melty cheese, chopped tomatoes, and beef cuts combined, *chef’s kiss👨🍳😗*. So good. I loved how they didnt use shredded meat. Most nachos that use shredded meat are a hit or miss for me; usually a miss when the meat isnt seasoned well leading to umay :/ Silantro used small cubed beef. Small but juicy and tender! Sorry theres no pic, we devoured it instantly before I could take a decent pic for my blog 😅As for the tacos, we ordered the double meat of chicken and beef. Juicy and tender din 🙌 Was so good I gobbled it in seconds. They had lamb as a meat option but unfortunately it was unavailable that time (and yesterday, even if we went there earlier than last time). I think it’s best if you go early like lunchtime or call in to check if they have it available that day.But above the two things we ordered, the commendable stars were the white and green sauces. The white sauce was garlic. I inherently like garlic so its an automatic like for me. I’m not sure what the green sauce was; I thought it was like a guac in liquid form, but it tastes like cucumber. Great nonetheless since it balances out the savoriness of everything else. The darker green was just the spicy version.Out of all the restos in Kapitolyo, Silantro definitely stands out— with the line of cars its hard to miss. Overall, the socmed postings were worth the hype in trying!
Ive always loved Silantro since 2015! This is a must-visit resto in Kapitolyo!Glad to know they offer dine in services already. Ordered beef nachos, dinamita and burrito when we ate here a few weeks ago.Food 5/5Ambiance 4/5Staff 4/5Value for money 5/5Pros: Really good Fil-Mex food! You will definitely crave for this once you tasted their dishes! Big servings! You can take out half of the burrito and nachos for dinner! 😂😍Cons: Parking space might be challenging; dining tables are kinda narrow (they installed transparent dividers on the table, making it a little cramped up; difficult to call on waiters, i think they only have a few servers when we went there.Overall, Silantro Kapitolyo is still a very great place to dine and enjoy with your friends and family.😍❤🥰
Great Mexican food! I gave 5 stars because the food is soooo delicious. Good service, limited customer can dine in, just bring your fully vaccinated card along with government ID otherwise you will not be able to eat inside. The beef Nachos is good enough for 2-3 people and its so delicious! The caliente wings, quesadilla and beef with lengua burrito ... a must try!. They clean and disinfect the table and plastic divider after each customers use. The parking is spacious. Highly recommended! 👍👍
Everything was great except for the Silantro tm pork ribs (1st picit was hard and definitely not the fall-off-the bone kind of ribs I thought it was. Service is great food profile tastes great but the taco meat needs a little bit more seasoning. Nachos are worth it ❤️
Youll never go wrong with Silantro! The one in Kapitolyo was the first branch I tried. Caliente Wings, Beef Nachos, Quesadillas are always our mainstays! Great food and great vibes!
Famous Fil-Mex in Katipunan! It’s worth the buzz. They had options for vegetarians/vegans. I had Chipotle Salad + Mushroom Soup. My friends ordered Beed Burrito, Lengwa Burrito and Nachos. They said it tasted gooooood. I did like my soup, but not so much the salad. 🌱
We went here for a weekend late lunch and were able to sit right away. We just two people. Right of the bat, the menus were disgusting! It was wet and dirty. I could not believe they would hand it to people. The staff were quick and attentive though. We ordered their nachos and paella. The food was good however I had the impression that the place was dirty.
Definitely one of the best place to eat along Kapitolyo Drive. Gets crowded usually at night. Staffs are very approachable and attentive, service is fast, food always served hot and fresh.
Still one of the best in Kapitolyo! On my first try, had to line up for quite some time just to have a taste of their great food. Ive been going back to Silantro with different companions for the past years. Gladly the food quality never diminished! Really great value for money. Staff are helpful, friendly and serves fast --- utensils and water. Our pork ribs took 20-30 minutes to serve but it was worth the wait. Beef nachos is a no-fail order. Just go early on weekends to avoid the lines or try it during weekdays.
My second time to dine in this restaurant branch. We ordered beef tacos, dynamite and nachos to share. The servers are very pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and the dips. The food was good but not like how i remembered it to be before. The cheese and toppings in the nachos were not as generous and the tacos lacked spice. Its still a place id love to frequent especially with friends. A lot of people dine here so its best to arrive early. Recommended.
Great food, great ambiance, its just a little difficult to find since its behind several stores.
Always a great place to eat. My favorite ones are chicken burrito and Paella Fajita. I havent tried the other ones yet but they seem promising. Although, I was disappointed with the lamb chop. Pricey and it was full of fat and chewy. I recently tried pork chop and it was great, given that I was not eating meat in the past two months. The pork chop compensated it all. The service is a bit slow.
The Pancholons burger is sooo delicious! This is in comparison to other burger joints that I have eaten in the taste is really different. 100% recommended! One thing that I will comment though was that I wasnt offered a menu even though there was almost no one else waiting. Another thing is that billing out took so much time, almost as long as the time I took to eat the burger.
Had a great experience here. Staff was friendly and recommended their Beef Nachos and Calliente Wings. Both tasted really good!Came at 11.30 just beating the lunch crowd. By 12, the place was fully packed indoors and outdoors. The Fresh Dalandan Juice was refreshing too.Would definitely recommend this place!
Their best seller? Beef Nachos, as what I remember. The amount of serving is a shocker to the price of the order. @190 bucks and good for 2 or more. The serving is a lot.A must try for cheese lovers and borrito fanatics. ;)
Wow! My friends treat m3 here during my short visit in Manila and I love most of the dishes and the 3 choices of sauce is just divine 🤗. Medyo Matagal lang ang pila before our turn but worth the wait...
Food is good. Just note that it so popular that there is a line for you waiting during peak hours and paydays. Food is good for sharing. Waiters are accomodating. Just the waiting time makes it a hassle. :)
Good place to eat, very nice food at an affordable rate but the line gets crazy, so spare at least 45 mins for the wait time.
WOW!!!!!! This place is BEYOND amazing! The steak must have just walked off the street and into the kitchen! It was so tender and juicy. The pork chops were just as tender. The green sauce is delicious and refreshing. Dont miss this place when you come to Manila. It will not disappoint! Kudos to the owner and chef!!!
Overall the food here is really good and not too expensive. I am just missing some cilantro flavor on their sauce but other than that, good value for your money
The Damage (no drinks): Php 400-800 for twoSpecializing in Mexican dishes with a pinoy spin, this joint is good value for money. We liked the Dinamita and Silantro Quesadilla~~TRY😍:// Beef and Pork Hard Tacos// Dinamita// Silantro Quesadilla~~OKAY🙂:// Fish Soft TacoFollow us on IG📷: eatsmorefun
Good food.Beef Nachos is superb.Burritos is fillingStaff are attentive to customers needs.Downside... NO ALLOTTED PARKING for customers
The best Chicken Wings and Nachos! This is one of the hidden gems of Manila. I havent heard of this place before, one of my colleague asked to eat out and since this was near our office they decided to visit this place. And oh my God my taste buds were the happiest. I am such a chicken wings addict since birth, their chicken wings were one the best wings I had so far. And their nachos? You dont want to miss ordering one and oh dont forget their famous quesadillas! Cant wait to be back!
So many positive reviews, but the food here was terrible. The oxtail was complete fat. Gross. The quesadilla was completely unappealing. The only edible items were a simple chicken soft taco and the nachos. The service was very friendly but I do not recommend this venue.
This resto has the best nachos Ive ever tasted! Nachos is really tasty bcoz of the beef and cheese on it + that white sauce is really heaven!! Is it butter garlic sauce? Another must try on their menu is the Calliente wings, kinda spicy and sweet but i really love the overall taste with that crunchy and fresh veggie on top of it. One serving of both food are good for 2 to 3 people so you can share it with friends.
Yummy food most especially their beef nachos oozing with cheese, silantros burrito which can be shared by two persons and caliente wings which is too flavorful. A must try! Their food is great! Best filmex i ever tasted so far.
We noticed that wherever we go and theres a Silantro nearby, theres a queue all of the time. So we tried it ourselves and oh boy the queue is really really justified. We are eager to and really looking forward to dine at the other Silantro restaurants. The only con that I can think of is the space its quite small for a well known restaurant but I guess thats the magic in it.PS: The servings are so generous.
Craving for some Mexican or Latin American Food in the Metro? Drive and find your way to Silantro in Kapitolyo Mandaluyong City. Do try their Lucha Tacos and have the liberty to choose your meat from beef, pork, fish, lamb and etc. Enjoy unlimited dips of Guacamole and yogurt. Do also try other food in the menu example the grilled porkchop valued at 200 pesos or 4USD. Meals are fairly priced and you will surely enjoy the experience. The Restaurant offers limited parking so better try it during non peak hours and also to avoid the line during lunch and dinner hours. Trust me it gets busy during those hours due to volume of people. One of my favorite places to eat and chill out with friends and a comfort food.
Their foods are so tasty and very affordable. Totally worth the money. Youll definitely come again and try everything on their menu
Food is great and price worthy. But be ready to wait long, do not go here hungry.
