I got the rueben panini on a 93 degree day and it was fantastic 👌

A local deli and a local treasure with great prices. The thanksgiving sandwich is a local delicacy, the mayo + stuffing + cranberry sauce combo is so good you might wonder why its not more common. Sigs Mac and Cheese panini might change your life.

Very unassuming place with easily some of the best sandwiches around. My group stopped in here while brewery hopping and all of our food was outstanding. Two of us got paninis which were griddled to perfection. I myself had the Thanksgiving sandwich which consisted of thick pieces of turkey and a generous helping of toppings which were all well balanced. Everyone that worked there was extremely friendly and offered us great recommendations. They also had a surprising amount of chip and drink selections as well.

This place is great!! The staff were super helpful when I was trying to make the big decision on lunch! They are super friendly and both mine and my wifes meals were great!! I got a chicken salad sandwich and it was awesome. My wife got the BLT and she loved it! Great people, great food!

Been going to Sigs , since as far back as I can remember. My grandparents used to live right around the corner. When it was in the Fifth Ward. The best sandwiches..and I have had many. 😋

Went there earlier, have not been there since they were down town Newport, the prices are ridiculous for what you get and did not taste good at all. The guy there tried telling me oh this is great , that’s great, all three sandwiches we got were overpriced and were not good yuck!

We were visiting the area and wanted to have lunch outside, so we picked up four sandwiches at Sig’s. All four of us loved our sandwiches—Italian cold cut, ham and Swiss, Reuben, and chicken parm. The staff could not have been nicer.

Im been going here (Including their Marketfor over 20 years. Great food/great prices, I make sure to visit them every time I make to Middletown, RI.

Absolutely amazing! My mom and I stopped on our way to Newport Polo and we could not have been more satisfied. The Thanksgiving sandwich tasted just like my grandmother made it and we were helped very quickly. Staff is wonderful and we cannot wait to make a stop at Sigs place again!

Absolutely amazing! I went in with a craving for A BLT and had a perfect idea for a drink but I didn’t know what to get as a side… I asked them to give me whatever they thought would be good. I got the potato/egg salad. It was awesome! I would say it’s better than my mommas potato salad! The BLT hit the spot! And for desert I got the lemon cake. Oh my word! It was like lemon cake but instead of icing in between the layers it was like lemon meringue pie! I didn’t even know that was possible! It was so good! Plus the seating outside was nice on a day like today. :we will definitely be a repeat customer. :)

I ordered a Turkey, bacon, cheese and tomato panini and it was fantastic! It was ready very quickly and the turkey was very tender and flavorful. This was my first time here and I can’t wait to go back to the friendly staff and get more excellent sandwiches! You should definitely go here!

Great place for a sandwich or salad. Good variety of ingredients which are all fresh and tastey. Cant speak to the catering aspect but the staff are very friendly and accomodating, and are always prompt with your oder. One of the best sandwich spots in the area, definitely give it a try. (Bonus: They offer pita pockets as a choice of bread, big fan)

Just had a wonderful breakfast at Sigs Place. My bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel was delicious. The bread was fresh and the eggs were fluffy. My husbands sandwich was made with a Jimmy Dean sausage patty. We had a choice of various types of bread. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. This will be a definite stop during our next visit to Newport.

Im from NY ,so we have some standards about subs, This was a poor representation . Very skimpy on the meat and cheese , the bread tasteless and dry. I try to avoid the chains and support the locals but this was a bad experience. Avoid at all costs

We stopped for sandwiches after the beach. In house Roast beef and turkey were both delicious! Service was excellent and fast. Hit the spot!!

My friend from Arizona had me craving a Reuben. I googled where can I get the best Reuben near me. A bunch of places came up, I chose Sig"s place. I had never been here before, it was the right choice. Delicious, highly recommend

Awesome little sandwich spot. No frills, just great sandwiches. I got the Thanksgiving special on a roll. Typically I like a heartier, crusty bread but the lighter rolls they use is a great foil for the stuffing, roasted turkey and sauces.

I absolutely love the great customer service, great breakfast, lunch, and dinner foods. Amazing Soups desserts, and deli meats to choose from. Never disappointed ordering food from Sigs. The owners are the friendliest on the Island.

My parents and my dad’s parents have been eating here for over 30 years. They recently took me back to RI to eat here as well. I loved the food so much that I’ve been trying to recreate what I ate ever since I got back to Va, but it’s just not Sigs. This place is an institution of good, simple eats. It’s deli done right. Nothing over the top, just right. I love this place, and I can’t wait to come back. Please do yourself a favor and get your lunch at Sigs.

I would very highly recommend Sigs place! My husband and I were planning a family reunion, and we decided that for the beach day we would pre order sandwiches from Sigs to pack in a cooler. We ordered 25 sandwiches on Friday afternoon, and asked that they be ready for pick up early Saturday morning. The sandwiches were ready on time and they were absolutely delicious! Very high quality meats and fresh breads. It made lunch time at the beach with such a large group a breeze.We also had ordered a tray of mac and cheese to serve as a side dish with our dinner. Absolutely delicious!!Thanks so much to Shawn and Paula for taking such good care of us! We will definitely be back!

Just moved to the area a few months ago and after many dining out experiences this is easily the best place to eat on the island that I discovered! We enjoyed the meatball sub, the American chop suey, carrot cake, and white chocolate frosted chocolate cake. But the best thing was the specialty macaroni and cheese which is a famous secret family recipe for over 80 years. We also got a prepared meatloaf dinner to eat the next day which was so fresh and tasty! It was so delicious I will have trouble not ordering here every day going forward. They even had Moxie soda! Two thumbs up!

Locally owned by a very nice family. This is such a great find outside of Newport! Huge menu with any sandwich or wrap you can think of as well as soups, desserts, and even fried foods.My favorite is the thai chicken wrap, but the Cuban sandwich is amazing too. If youre extra hungry get some fries for the side.You can call in and order for pickup,; great option for dinner for the family when Im too lazy to cook.The restaurant itself has just a little bit of seating area inside and some seats outside as well; order at the counter and enjoy good conversation with the owner who is always there.

Ive been going to Sigs since they opened the new location in 2010. Owners Shawn and Paula are welcoming and know their customers. The food they serve, made from scratch by the way, is always fresh and delicious with very generous portions. You will not be disappointed!!!

If I could share a picture, I would BUT I definitely devoured it all in one sitting. Always get my tried & true Reuben and it never disappoints. Pretty extensive menu and the staff is always courteous. I enjoy my delis & this is a go-to.

Their roast beef sandwich is awesome! And their carrot cake had the best frosting! Great little shop! Great service and people!

I ordered two turkey wraps, and one Polar seltzer water and it came to $22.00. When I opened up the bag, the wraps were wrapped in the worst way. Both sandwiches fell apart and there was two slices of turkey on each of the wrap with maybe one piece of avocado. The wrap had the texture of an old wrap. For $22.00 those wraps should be been filled with turkey. The older woman with black hair was rude. There are definitely better sandwich places on the island that you can get a lot more for what your paying. Who has ever been still hungry after eating a wrap?

Food is amazing, made to order sandwiches with all fresh ingredients. Soups and salads all made in house on top of all of the amazing mac and cheese and lasagna. Cant beat it. Cute little shop to sit in and eat it take it to go. Located minutes from the beaches and historic Newport. Definitely a must see when in town , or a great spot for locals. Family owned and operated, this is a great place to eat!!

Awesome Italian sandwich, fresh ingredients, I like when I bite into a sandwich I can hear the crunch of the crisp lettuce. Going back to venture into some specialty sandwiches.The owner is very friendly and clearly passionate about his food.

Grabbed a Reuben on lunch - killer corned beef; really good. Very friendly and comfortable place with a solid selection of homemade foods. Ill be back many times, for sure.

Sigs Place makes the best Thanksgiving Sandwich ever. I have been a patron for over four years and I have only tried one other item off the menu besides the turkey splendor, their roast beef sandwich. Lets call it paper thin roast goodness. At this rate, in four more years ill post how good the third sandwich is. If theres a line just relax, its worth the wait.

Great mom & pop deli! Very friendly owners who take their food seriously. This is the closest Ive found to a classic NYC Italian deli without driving to Providence. Everything is homemade and fresh. Lots of food options. The sandwiches are well made and the homemade lasagnas are delicious.

Ordered Mac and cheese and meat lasagna for Christmas Eve buffet. Both were a big hit! The kids went bananas over the Mac and cheese and honestly I got it for the kids but the adults loved it just as much.Thank you Sigs

My wife and I had some trays of food catered for while the wedding party was getting ready. Shawn and his staff were very friendly and helpful. The chicken salad is amazing!

Great place to get or take lunch to go or stop on the way home for prepared food to re-heat at home for your dinner. The chicken salad on a bulky roll is the best! I used to go quite often when I worked down the street. Its perfect to stop on the way to the beach and get your sandwiches.The fruit salad, tossed salads & pizza are great and so is everything else I have had here. Tuesdays is free french fries with your sandwiches! Never had anything for breakfast from here, so i plan to try that.
