Sidecar Barley & Wine Bar in Norman

The food and drinks are great- and its a great social spot. My only complaint would be the service. My organization had a happy hour at Sidecar where we pre-ordered food and tipped 20% prior to our arrival. Those who attended purchased their own drinks. However, the server had the audacity to approach us and say that the group did not tip at all- which was a misunderstanding that could have been cleared up without feeling the need to embarrass us.The two times I went to sidecar after, I was ignored by the same server (even though I was the only person at the barand the other time, I was sitting at a table for 15 minutes with no service. When he finally got to my order at the bar, he slammed down my drink on the bar and spilled some of it. I have worked in the restaurant industry and I understand that tips are important- but if the server were to check, I tipped that night and so did my peers. I still think Sidecar is a fantastic new spot on Cherry Street- but those experiences were just really awkward and could have 100% been avoided.

Well, I went back and talked with Alex, the General Manager and had a very productive conversation about the issues I encountered. He was and is a very dedicated Manager that truly wants to give great customer service. The only thing I can say negative about this is my favorite server wasnt there that night, Micah is fantastic!!! Ill be back to check it out on my next trip to Tulsa. Alex, thank you for having the fortitude to have a conversation to rectify the issues. Ill see you guys soon. With a 5 star rating!!!This is by far one of the worst experiences of service Ive ever encountered. I wasnt greeted when I walked in, I thought maybe I had come in the wrong entrance. I walked to the bar and had the bar staff just looking around as if I werent there. I finally spoke to a Bartender and he barely spoke back. This is a beautiful setting, for a place of this caliber to have uninviting bar staff is confusing and disappointing. The live music was great once I went outside and enjoyed the nice evening. Micah, however was a real treat, she had a great personality and acted as if she was glad to be there, hopefully she will rub off on the other bar staff. One last thing, as I was sitting there one of the bar staff blew his nose while standing behind the bar around the mixes and open containers of drink condiments. As far as I could tell he never washed his hands, very off-putting!!! Sorry to be so blunt but unless people speak up you may not know. Hopefully things will change for the better. If I could get zero stars I would. I went there on a Sunday with my mother at 2 o’clock because they have outside seating and I’ve never been there. I’ve heard great things about this place but it was seriously lacking. We go upstairs to our right there’s about five people drinking on the couch no one else was in the restaurant. I only saw one server on the POS system she looked at us rolled her eyes and went back to doing what she was doing. We sat there for about five minutes at the door looking stupid. So we decide to walk around and no one talked to us or acknowledge our existence. The girl was still at the POS system and didn’t look up again. So we proceeded to the front where we came in and sat there for another five minutes and no one helped us so we decided to leave and never willCome back.

one of my favorite places in tulsa. the vibe honestly changes depending on the crowd, but i come for the view (best in tulsaand the amazing drinks (lavender sourand snacks (spinach & artichoke).

The drinks and the place was good but the server wasn’t too good. The servers need to be more visible on the rooftop.

Waited 25 to 30 minutes for a to go sandwich but the Single drink that took about 10 minutes to make was delicious that’s about all I can say

We had a really good time at Sidecar. It’s a classy, upscale roof top bar with a lot of potential. Service is not super fast but an even pace you would expect from a bar serving an above average amount of cocktails.Don’t get a mimosa. I asked for the largest mimosa and it came in a standard wine glass with about 1/4 full of champagne. It was disappointing. It’s the smallest mimosa in the City of Tulsa.That aside, you can’t beat the rooftop vibes and they do serve at the tables outside so you don’t have to keep going to the bar.

We came here for drinks after a work function. The rooftop atmosphere is amazing. Overlooking the city skyline, live band, nice weather. Neat spot!

What a great view! Good bands when Ive been there. Such a great place to relax and enjoy the sunset. 🌇 The prices arent bad & the drinks are mixed well. AND... THEY HAD A BUBBLE MACHINE! 😂 (Hokey, but so fun!Its such a great place to start or end an evening.

We used to go to Sidecar quite often in OKC, so we were happy to see one in Tulsa.The drinks are decent, well priced, and made by competent bartenders. The atmosphere is awesome. Love the rooftop vibe.I see Sidecar going into our bar rotation.

Cool roof top bar. Roof top bars are big in other cities and outside the US. Nice to see one here in Tulsa! IMPORTANT: Entrance is glass door on back side of building. Take elevator to 5th floor.

Service was slow, however, she was the only one working outside. Came here for drinks and dinner. Had the spinach and artichoke dip, turkey panini and cheesecake. Food was delicious, the cheesecake had a crunchy sugar crust w caramel drizzle... So good. Had a great variety of whiskey, craft cocktails and wine. Vibe here is chill with a sunset view from a roof. Dog friendly.

Drinks are good, mood is fun, but the service isnt great. They have an interesting variety of drinks to order....if you can get someones attention. There are always 5-6 people behind the bar but we waited for 20 minutes (we started a timerto order a drink without a line multiple times.... We had to awkwardly interrupt a bartender to ask for service.The inside is well designed, the patio isa beautiful place for outdoor drinking. You can enjoy the sunset on a warm day or cuddle up by the fire on cold one. They often have live music so its worth a stop on weeknights.

I give the atmosphere 5 stars, but the service only 1 star. We arrived a little after 11:00 pm (they close at Midnightto have some wine on the patio to celebrate our anniversary. As we ordered, approximately 11:05 we were told last call would be in 10 minutes, or 11:15 ish. Seemed early to us for a Midnight closing. No one ever came by on the patio for last call and at 11:30 I went to the bar to get two more glasses of wine to very rudely be told no they had already done last call. I said no one checked with us to get a very curt "Im sorry" from whom I assume was the manager who barely looked up from what he was doing. There were other service things observed as well, but I will leave those out of this. All in all not a great experience at all, but as mentioned early on the patio is amazing just dont have high expectations for amazing service.

The worst experience from a bar I ever had. The bartender was rude and didn’t even know where we were sitting when we ordered our drinks and they wanted to deliver the drinks without knowing. The bartenders were extremely rude.

Chill atmosphere, good drinks and food with a view.

We stopped in to check out the new spot in town and enjoy a start to a great visit. We were not disappointed. It was a little tricky to find but the atmosphere was great! Service with a smile and great drinks and food as well. Honestly cant remember what drinks we got, they were both delicious, but we also got the smoked trout dip. That was AMAZING! Hope I can go back on another visit soon!

Enjoyed the bar and the nice cocktail preparation. The manhattan’s are good.Unfortunately we live a half block northwest and the music is annoying in the evenings for the neighborhood. So maybe the neighbors should get free drink passes for enduring the sort of odd sound of music from the roof.I’m sure if you’d get creative you can arrange the speakers to contain some of the music to the venue.

I really love the atmosphere of this place and it’s a great location. My only complaint would be the prices. I ordered a $12 cocktail and after tax and tip, it ended up being $18. I’m not really sure how the tax is so high but $18 for a cocktail in Tulsa seems crazy to me. Still love the vibe but now I’m aware just how expensive drinks are here.

Great location, cool venue, service was horrible. Waiter didn’t seem to want anyone there and food was in Ricky slow. Wasn’t even that busy…unfortunate for such a great location. Same experience 3 separate times…won’t be bringing out of town guests ever again.

Sidecar is a wonderful new addition to Cherry Street. The rooftop view is incredible. Excellent service. Great food and drinks. Highly recommended!

The good: The rooftop area is incredible. Even when the night is cold, you can be comfortable. There usually plenty of space around the fire pit and a few of the seating nooks around the edge of the rooftop have heating lamps. The music last night was on point! The vibe was set for a good, relaxing time.The bad: Parking is difficult, but that’s the way of Cherry Street is so I’m willing to look past it.What I have a hard time looking past is waiting 20-30 minutes for someone to take my party’s order before having to order inside. Parties tonight left and right around the fire pit were getting regular service. We tried to wave down the server several times with no success. I know it gets busy on a Saturday night, but when everyone around our party was being served, I can’t help but feel disrespected and ignored.TL;DR Love the vibe, disappointed by the service.

A little crowded but to be expected. Decent cocktail prices. Only complaint is parking and its not apparent right away how to get here (entrance in back of the building with no directions that I saw facing the street). The view from the rooftop seating however...

Came here for the first time today with 5 friends. 3 of us sat at a table outside, while the other 3 waited at the bar. We were there for 30min, a server never came to our table, and once they finally got the bartenders attention she said she isnt serving anymore bar walk ups. So we left without ever getting a drink. Probably wont be back since we dont even know of the drinks are good.

Have been twice, indoor and on the patio. It is a great atmosphere and fantastic food. Great for date night and an evening out with friends.

This restaurant is brand new but i can already tell it’s gonna be one of my fave spots in Tulsa, super chill atmosphere, the band was playing - and they were killing it. The inside portion of the bar was warm and cozy, and the outside had a beautiful view!! The food was really good - i got a charcuterie board, and the spinach dip they were both amazing. I also got the honeydew drink which i got two of because they tasted so good. 👍🏽

Whats not to love? This rooftop bar with an exquisite patio makes for a glorious venue. Staff has been ever cordial and welcoming. The overall experience of the staff makes for a very high quality cocktail on or off the menu.

This place is fantastic. The knowledgeable staff and the great selections of wine and spirits make this place excellent choice for date nights, office gatherings, or just meeting someone new. The food is wonderful, while not all-encompassing, it is flavorful and well crafted much like their cocktails. A great spot to hit before a nice dinner at Nolas or a casual night out!

Great atmosphere and phenomenal drinks! The staff are friendly and passionate about their craft. Jame, Taria and Alex took great care of us. Jame is an absolute genius, give him some descriptors and you’ll get an amazing drink!

The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable about drink suggestions. I like trying new drinks. The food and drink taste great and the atmosphere sets it off!

We went on Christmas Eve. First the music in the elevator was so loud you couldnt talk to anyone. Entering the bar area, again the music is so loud you have to yell directly into someones ear to talk to them. The bar tender greeted me quickly but seriously I could see his mouth moving but could not hear him and he was standing about 3 feet from me. I had to lean into him and ask him to repeat himself. Throughout the two hours we were there he was very attentive. The two female waitresses were too busy standing at the bar talking to each other. It wasnt that busy and they barely left their position. I saw them the whole time I was there. The prices are comparable to other places. The beer prices arent though, if youre a beer person. I definitely wont be back if anything because of the deafening music. Its a bar not a dance club.

This place is physically, stunning. I love the outdoor fire pit, I love the overall vibe, and the seating indoors and outdoors is strategically placed for a great social experience! I’ve noticed complaints about the pricing…. personally I’m seeing the issue. You pay for what you get so you can’t expect to go somewhere like this and have a $5 drink. So I think it all worked out wonderfully for me and my friends that came together. The issue I had was that the service wasn’t as great as everyone is stating. We were checked on once, before even solidifying our order our server was already in another conversation with the group next to us… everything service wise felt rushed and we felt as though we were just outside to be outside and unless we tried to get the attention of someone else that was a server (which failedit just never worked. Ultimately we left ready to eat somewhere else considering we didn’t feel we had great service to stay for dinner. I will say!!!!! It is holiday season!Overall rating I would say 8/10 because it could have been better service wise but considering the time of year everything else is fine. The food was great, the energy was great, the drinks were yummmyyy, but the service Im gonna come back and check them out at a better time(:

This place is seriously the coolest and most stylish/fun bar on Cherry Street...and probably in all of Tulsa, people. I mean, if you want to impress your date - or your wife - this is the spot.The interior is straight-up gorgeous with superdeluxe couches overlooking the river and city lights...and then outside theyve got like a 50-foot long glass fireplace with seating all around it.And on top of that, the staff is awesomeness...James and Alex (who run the placeare just supercool guys...and the bartenders (Morgan and Mel are the ones Ive metare nonstop good vibes every time Ive been there.Anyway its definitely my favorite new local hang. I seriously cant even imagine what any non-five-star reviewers are complaining about...except they must be the kind of whiners who always find something to complain about in life. Because this place is the shiznit.

This place is a whole vibe! It’s cute and the drinks are great. The meal options are good, but if you’re hungry and looking for a full meal… I’d visit before or after having your main course at another spot. Perfect place to watch the sunset or cozy up near the fire pit and enjoy your favorite wine. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Terrible service. Good thing we ordered water, otherwise we would have had nothing to drink for 40 min.I love the part where the owner says " delicious bites to pair" if delicious means opening up a Sams pack of pre-cut meats and cheese. Then he nailed it on the head!!!

Wonderful place to spend a sunny day or warm night. I received excellent service from the bar while enjoying the view. (Thanks Mel & Abi).I’m not sure about all the comments about the drink prices, maybe I’m used to higher end cocktail lounges and the prices that come with them.All in all… it’s a solid place.

Look out for this place to become one of Tulsa’s newest hotspots! Visited recently while celebrating a birthday with friends. The rooftop bar is phenomenal. The heaters kept us all warm! The view is great, as well! Staff was great! Food was great! 10/10 would recommend!

Awesome bar, amazing staff! Alex Roth is the most knowledgeable bartender I have met. Sidecar is one of the best all around venues I have been to, definitely the coolest and most unique in Tulsa. The view is spectacular from the rooftop patio and the regular live music is very enjoyable. As far as their drinks go, most of their vast beer selection is handpicked from local craft breweries. They have unique craft cocktails made with freshly made inhouse ingredients and theyre not over priced. They have a great whiskey/scotch selection that is growing every time I visit! Definitely worth checking out!

Im really torn.... I love the venue....my bill made me hate it. Its an excellent indoor/outdoor rooftop spot with a view, nice ambience with the fire pit. I think I may have found the highest drink prices in Tulsa. They charged $50 for a double bourbon that is normally $21 at fine dining bars in town. Furthermore they charged me for more drinks than were served my party. Shame on me for not asking about their pricing and not going over my bill with a fine tooth comb prior to paying.
