According to a saint there, it is believed that before 2078 years (Bikram sambatKing Bhartrihari, the elder brother of king Bikramaditya (who started Bikram Sambatof Ujjain kingdom received a fruit from a sage to eat for his good health and adultness forever. The king thought that it would be good to give the fruit to his queen so that she would be always young and might take good care of him in his old age. The queen was in relation with a minister and she gave it to him for his strength to fulfill her sexual desire forever. The minister gave it to his beloved one whom he was in relation with. The lady again gave it to a cowboy whom she was in relation with. The cowboy thought for the people of the kingdom and decided to give it to the king so that the king would always be strong to help his people. The king was shocked to know it and all the people connected. He later realized that no one was for anyone in this world. He went to the saint Gorakhnath and pledged that he wanted to leave the kingship and become a saint. The sage asked him to go to the mountains and find a cave for meditation and worship god Shiva. The king then visited the mountains of Nepal and found a cave for meditation. He started his meditation and worship of God Shiva. At the end he was brightened by the knowledge and eternal power. Later, he was famous and known as SHIDDHA BABA. Lord Shiva opened a water stream from the cave which falls down the river and it can be seen on the way to Palpa. After that people started worshiping Shiddha Baba.

Siddhababa Temple located in Palpa is one of the best temple of Hindu Religion people. Located at very dangerous geographical location has its own importance in Hindu Mythology. Many people visit every year mainly in different nepalse festivals.
A peaceful pilgrimage of lord Shiva. There are some monkeys too... so beware of them. To go there one can hire or reserve a tempo or auto rickshaw. In the city if multiple people board the auto rickshaw per person is charged Rs 25 per person but this may vary little extra since this is around 3 kms out of the city on the way to Palpa Tansen. The temple complex is at a bank of a river with huge rocky mountain. The main temple is accessible by pedestrian concrete passage and stairs. It is accessible by Wheelchairs but per one 2 helpers might be required. It takes almost 5 minutes walk up to the temple. Here people can find religious and tourist people most of them are Nepali people. There is a good space that can hold 2 marriage ceremonies in the temple complex. This means legal aged people can get married there at the presence of All Mighty Lodships shrine. A small snake house with sweet items are also available at the main entrance. There are 2 public toilets for visitors that is the last information that one might want to learn about. And at the bank of the river accessible from middle of the walk to the temple we can find a beautiful view of river.
Serene atmosphere, nature has flourished the area. Good place for peace and get a feel of nature
High Religious value. But comes with high risk of landslide in monsoon and cloudy dust in Spring and winter.Cant wait to see the solution of the issue to change my rating.
Never seen such a beautiful place like this before. Usually we go to temples for worship the god bt when it comes to beauty, small waterfall, massive rocks, hill, greenery all around, birds sound feels like a heaven.Amazing place!!!

Siddhababa temple located near the Butwal city its famous with the center of religious connectivity and believe where worships Lord Shiva Temple as well as Gorkhanath .
Wonderful place to visit, even for somebody who is neither a Buddhist nor a Hindu. We all have something to learn from the way these two religions peacefully coexist in Nepal and in this temple compound. But beware of the monkeys roaming about: they can get quite aggressive if you carry food or anything else theyre interested in.
Monsoon greenery of siddhababa on the way to palpa. Perfect stopover for nature lovers.
Chill palce you can enjoy a good view of mother nature and can chill.
