Family-owned eatery offering curries, rolls, soups & other Thai fare in a warm & casual space.
Terrible food. Papaya salad had a weird tomato ketchup taste. The red curry has zero coconut milk but used coconut oil instead. Insanely expensive and had to throw most of the food because it tasted bad
Pretty nice Thai food, though a little bit overpriced 😉 but very worthy
I had eaten from here a few times over a 10 year period and it seems like something was always a bit unusual. Decided to try again since it had been a while and they have a nice selection on their menu. I ordered takeout and could not believe how small the portions were. I am not even sure half of the things that were supposed to be in the dishes were even in there. What was in there seriously lacked flavor. The takeout boxes werent even remotely full. Giving it 2 starts because I know they can make decent food but seem to take short cuts most of the time.
Chicken satay was good. Golden triangles were aboveaverage. The cashew chicken and pad thai were outstanding!!! Service was good. Will be back next time we are in Concord.
We were extremely disappointed with our meals. We dine at Thai restaurants very often so we know what to expect. Somehow the spice was "off". Just tasted weird. My husband orders Massaman Curry all the time. But what he got was totally different & bizarre. It was so bad we wont be going back!
Such a local gem!! Any visitors must go. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting. Best service, and a super friendly family who runs the restaurant and really cares about guests.
Great restaurant! Food was exquisite and refined. We even had a boat plate which was a nice touch.
Nice out door seating where people watching is good. We brought our dog who slept under the table. Food was delicious and the service excellent.
Good service, the drunken noodles was good
Excellent service and delicious food!! I had the drunken noodle with pork (no spicesand it was seasoned perfectly. My server Pim was very friendly.I expected the serving size to be larger but it was sufficient. The restaurant is very clean and so is the restroom. It’s in a very nice location on N. Main St. The outdoor seating is very nice! They also have vegetarian dishes. I highly recommend dining here if in the area.
Visited the area with a group from NYC for hockey camp. The food is really great and the servers are friendly and attentive. The food is so good, we actually ate there twice before camp drop off and twice at camp pick up, two weeks later! Some favorites from the group order - Thai wings, gyoza, Siam rolls, Pattaya fried rice with crispy chicken, Boat Trip Noodle Soup and the lychee bubble tea. There’s some great seating outdoors and parking is fairly easy on the street. We can’t wait to go back.
I love that theres a cute Thai spot in Concord! It has many vegan and vegetarian options, and a very pleasant ambiance. The staff was very friendly, too. Will definitely come back
Despite being expensive, easily probably the best pad Thai I’ve had in a long time
First and last time I will order here. Spent almost $50 and the portions were unbelievably small!! I’ve ordered Pad Thai from other places and the covers are shoved into the containers, here the container wasn’t even close to filled. It was also bland, really lacked that amazing Pad Thai flavor. Same with the curry. While the curry had good flavor, the portions were incredibly small. The sticky rice was in a bag in the container, in the smallest possible sized container. It was definitely not worth the $50!! I love Thai food and am so disappointed in this!!
The team need to be more attentive to the table. We have to go and ask for left over packing. The white/brown/sticky rice is extra and waiter couldn’t confirm that it doesn’t part of the main course. So had to pay for that which we did not eat. Tables outside or cramped and need to have more spaces between. Food was great but need to go on these
Siam Orchid Thai Bistro has Pad Thai like no other Ive tried, I crave it! And the bubble teas are fabulous as well.
I ordered red curry and it was very disappointing. It had like no sauce and the vegetables weren’t cooked…
Delicious all around. Will definitely be back!
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Service is great. Food quality and selection is awesome. Price/value is great. My go to if Im in the Concord area.
Highly recommend the boba teas, pad see ew, and massaman curry.
Girlfriends fish was raw but the staff were really nice about it. The food overall is a mix of authentic and stuff thai people have never heard of before. If you get authentic though its pretty good.
Offering standard Thai cuisine and a variety of specials this is a spot you need to check if youre in the mood for something different. Small location with a pleasant staff and be sure to order a bubble tea with dinner for a treat.
Food is really good and flavorful. Just a tiny bit expensive. If people like to eat spicy then you should say 1 or even 2 levels higher than what you expect..
Was kinda disappointing. The Pad Thai (which I had been really excited aboutwas very bland. This also took over an hour to get.Not sure if I would order here again. Maybe it was an off day??Its been hard to find a place in Concord or around that has really good Pad Thai.
Gotta say, this is a good restaurant. Their bubble tea is GREAT (though a bit sweet for my taste), along with the food. The waitress did mix up a friend of mines dish and her dish came out to ~$23 for essentially raw vegetables, but the pad thai is to die for. Pretty normal price for the different types of pad thai and relatively cheap bubble tea. Definitely would recommend, just make sure you know what youre ordering!
Friendly staff, amazing apps! Food was amazing.
Ordered a seafood and noodle dish. Two shrimps and one scallop was all the seafood in the dish, but the flavor was great.
I never leave reviews. I know sometimes stuff gets messed up, this time was different I feel. Just started working in the area, so I was excited to try the Siam orchid. We love thai food and try as many different restaurants as we can. I picked up some takeout Friday 2/12/22. I called around 230pm so the lady asked if I wanted dinner portion or smaller lunch portion. Got dinner portion. I got 2 apps and 3 meals and it came to 79$. I thought it was really expensive, but it is downtown Concord, so kind of comes with the territory. The food was horrible! The green curry had barely any broth at all. It was incredibly bland. And the portion size was tiny. My drunken noodles were super bland and mushy, seemed really overcooked. again tiny portion. The fried rice looked really nice. Real fresh looking but the flavor was non existent. Super bland. The only thing we enjoyed were the fresh spring rolls we got. I also got a side of brown rice with my drunken noodles and it looked like oatmeal! How the hell does rice look like oatmeal? Left in a steam table for 3 days? It was mush! I will never go back to this place. I suggest you dont go either. Out of the dozen or so Thai restaurants Ive been to, I spent 79$ to find out this restaurant is the worst Thai place we have ever been! I should have picked up dinner from MacDonalds.
I went to this place a few months ago and I have a margarita and some chicken and tasted very good but the coconut soup tasted like water so i wouldn’t order again the soup. But I will try other things in the menu of this restaurant. The attention of the waitress was ok not great
Please explain, what is "self service social distant dine-in?" Cant figure that one out. The food here has always been excellent, but a bit expensive. My husband wont go here any more because we arent greeted by a server and offered a drink before we order our meals. We prefer to have a drink and an appetizer before ordering our meals. And the service is kind of hit or miss.
Tasty Thai and they were able to get us in last minute on a busy, rainy Saturday. Very helpful, very accommodating, and great food.
Disappointed! Ordered duck and pad Thai. Prices were twice higher and portions were twice smaller then most of the Thai food places. Taste was good but it does not justify small portions and high prices. We spent over $45 for 2 people and left hungry, I’m not a large person only 5.7 and 155 Lb. If you are a large guy you’ll have to Spend twice as much to get enough food. Not worth it in my opinion. Server provided bad service and had attitude, and were not happy about the tip she deserved. Had to ask her multiple times for many things. Not coming back for sure.
Quite expensive for Thai food with that portion. The taste wasnt bad, just average. The chicken stay was blend, the green curry a little disappointed with the size, and most veggies are string beans and bamboo shoots and does not come with rice. Spent $40+tips kind not worth it.
If you are going during the weekend, be ready to wait for hours. Yes, hours! And then be ready to eat cold food as well. Id be honest, the food was good but definitely not worth the wait! We ordered the pad wood Sen and the green curry, it took them only 50 mins to get it to the table. Was very disappointed. Giving 3 only for the food. Wish I could give 0 for the service.
Service was good but the food was a bit disappointing for the rating. We ordered a papaya salad, Tom yum noodle soup and choo neem curry dish. It was the least Tom yum noodle I ever had, there was no refreshing sour and lemongrass taste but only salty….. the other two dishes were just okay.
Visited this place today. I am in town for busniess. I would not recommend this place for people of color the waiter was not friendly at all. He asked all the other people around us how the food was but not us! We spend $82 and barely got any food the fish dish I ordered was very bad. I love Thai food, but this restaurant was nothing like what I am used to! Would not recommend at all!
We came to this restaurant for the first time as we were passing by NH. The food was awesome and the service was great as well. The Chiang-Mai noodles and the Hot and Crazy noodles were delicious.
My husband and I took my elderly Mom to lunch today. To begin with, weve eaten at many Thai food restaurants and this one didnt come close to measuring up. The food was sub-par, there was almost no chicken in the dish and it was an expensive lunch for what we received. The chef surely didnt prepare this dish with pride. The other thing is that we ate outside as it is a beautiful spring day. No one ever checked on us and when my husband went to enter the restaurant, he found the door locked. There was no way to get a box for our leftovers. I noticed that the plate still had a sticker on the bottom which makes me wonder how clean the plate really was. I do not plan to go back to this restaurant and do not recommend it. Extremely disappointing. In these tough times, and trying to support local business, I find it disappointing that Siam Orchid didnt find more value in their customers.
Theres no real service. Seat yourself, go up to the counter order, pick up your order at the counter in to go containers, no one checks to see how your food is. Its like dining in a food court but with restaurant prices. So Im a little bummed about that as we wanted to dine out and really didnt get that experience. Further more the portions are very small. The curries were decent, but the choo chee and massaman tasted exactly the same except for the veggie variation in them. The noodles were ok. We ordered 3 different type, they lacked flavor depth and were too sweet. Didnt care for the breading on the crispy duck. Ive also never had crispy duck that was breaded before. And I didnt care for it. I pulled the breading off. Over all, It wasnt awful... It just is not somewhere Id recommend. Especially considering the prices and the lack of service.
Cant believe it took us 16 years to try this gem in Concords restaurant system. This is the second time in 3 weeks we have eaten here and both times were thoroughly enjoyed. Siam rolls were hot and crispy, the Siam seafood was fresh and hot, walnut beef has a delicious sauce and shredded chicken in both Gaprow sauce and sweet chili basil (a favoritewere both loaded with flavor (although could use a little more chicken). Probs are good size. We are looking forward to trying more offerings.
Sorry, but I do not recommend this restaurant.Tltr: TINY PORTION FOR OVERPRICED MEDIOCRE FOOD!!!My very first time at this restaurant, I ordered a vegan pad thai with tofu and an appetizer of fried tofu. I was charged with $22 something. I was okay with the price when I ordered because I was so hungry. But the food I got was really disappointing. I got a bunch of white rice noodle with a few pieces of fried tofu. No veggies. The pad thai tasted mediocre at best. The appetizer I got was also maybe 5 or 6 small pieces of tofu. I cant believe they charged me that much for the food that I got. I am okay with paying more as long as the food I get is worth the money. But this place is not it.If there is no vegan friendly options, the staff should have told me so. I gave 2 star because the staff seemed friendly enough.
The food is always really great. I love their curries and their thai basil dishes. Their fried banana dessert is also excellent. However, since the pandemic and not having indoor seating, they are still using to-go containers, which just doesnt have the same amount of food that used to be on a plate. Also, I went to lunch close to 3:00 very recently (they close from 3-4 between lunch and dinnerand at 2:50 the chef came and asked how everything was because he was going on break. Of course we said great. We had gotten everything we asked for. I had a chicken dish and my boyfriend ordered beef and chicken. However, both dishes had very little chicken. And still being 2:55, tried to get it corrected, but the chef had "gone on break". They did make it right however, and gave me another whole dish, this one had ample meat in it. Still, I do love their food, and will always go back again. Its great service, price, and the food is wonderful!
I love the Thai food here. It is the best I have had in NH. Cute little location as well. Their coconut soup is wonderful. I also recommend the seafood dynamite. The staff is friendly.
Ive been going here since I was a kid. Great food and always pipping hot.
I ordered the drunken noodles there, I thought they were good, nothing amazing though. Most of my friends enjoyed their meals, the Hot Beef is apparently not spicy at all like what was indicated on the menu. The server staff was very attentive and was constantly nearby to give a refill on drinks. The place smelled a little gross when we first entered, but it went away by the time we were seated at our table.
Got a Thai Icea Tea with boba and the Basil Fried Rice with Chicken.Rice was fried just to my liking and it had the perfect spice. Chicken was hard to gauge as it was shredded into tiny bits. Overall mean was good, but the portion size was pretty small for the 15$.Tea had great flavor and wasn’t too sweet. Boba balls were nice and firm but chewy. Would love to see places move to alternative cups/straws to cut down on plastic usage
Great little cozy spot. My dad and I got pad Thai, the crispy chicken was particularly good. They had a little tray of spices that really kicked things up a notch. Friendly staff and nice interior design. Also a giant menu so even the oldest of people can read it, a nice touch.
Dinner was exceptionally tasty tonight. I have to agree with Marjorie on some nights service is just nonexistent but tonight it too was over the top. The waiter was timely and even when he could not be, the girls filled the water as soon as the glass was half empty. Love the carrot butterfly!!
Siam Orchid is one of the better Thai places in New Hampshire, definitely the best in Concord. A very creative and modern menu. My wife and I had the crazy noodles and the chicken satay and the fried bananas for dessert. Everything was great, very fresh and flavorful. The cocktail list is impressive as well; we got bubble tea and enjoyed them thoroughly. If youre in Concord looking for something outside the typically palate neutral offerings of New Hampshire, definitely stop by.
Holy baloney i have tried the yum neu salad, and it was a blast to eat. Lieterally. My tounge on fire, but it tastes great. The food we got was really good overall. Very deserved of five stars. Ivr included a picture of the interior, its has a very relaxing atmosphere.
