Siab Bazaar - Farmers' market in Shahrisabz, Uzbekistan
Explore everywhere in this Bazaar, not only dry fruit and sweets sections which is visible drom. the entrance. If you go further down, theres fruits, bread, dairy, salad, spice sections too. 🙂
Interesting market place with interesting goods from sweets and fruits to cheeses honey and breads. It is dramatic to see how much plastic is used in sites like this one.Wonderful photo opportunityMonday is closed for general cleaning
A great example of a local bazaar and glimpse into local life with fruits, nuts, eggs, and more, as well as tourist options. There is an atm here that can give Som and US Dollars.
Great local bazaar, recommend to visit once.
Nice market to understand and feel the pulse of local community, a variety of dry fruits, vegetables and fruits
Big bazaar offering everything you need for food. Be sure to negotiate prices!
Ordinary!
Dont miss this place. Its a proper traditional baazar with the freshest fruits and veggies, and ladies in colourful Uzbek dresses. You can also buy some traditional plates, and some souvenirs here for much cheaper.
The largest bazaar in Samarkand. All kinds of food , such as "Samarkand non", are sold.
Better than other bazaars. Some unique items.
Good place to shop. Cheap and all items are easily available.
Bazaar has many varieties of clothes, souvenirs, food, etc. The locals also shop from it, however, as a tourist you should bargain a lot as they give you double the prices for locals or even more.Siab Bazaar is good to spend 2 to 3 hours if you like those traditional Bazaars.
Fun, colorful and interesting!
Excellent Market for dry foodsBargain is possible.Several shops are there.Love this Market.
Busy place during the day where you can find all local dishes and clothes
Very delicious and beautiful
Lovely nuts and spices and fruit and vegetables. Tastes of nuts and dried fruits. Got flowerr seeds. Lots more there.
Best place on earth ✅
Wonderful local market
The largest and oldest bazaar in Samarkand, where you can buy everything. A very original and vibrant Central Asian bazaar.
The market is clean and nicely organised. This is the place to buy kurt, nuts, herbal tea mixes and tandoor nan.
This is the square with lots of attractions and nice parks, architecture, statues and just amazing place to stroll, nice shops and wonderful people. Good experience
You have to visit this place. You will like it believe me . It is chance to see another culture
The market is more for tourists. Nice to browse local products, but the sellers are constantly shouting at you and trying to sell you things you dont need. Many vendors also offer "guaranteed genuine" saffron. Women and children begging around the marketplace, touching you and pulling your hands, which is very annoying.
Good place, always try to lower the given price.
Very attractive and authentic sight in Samarkand city, must see
Nice place for cheaper shopping but must bargain
The feeling of the Bazaar is fantastic, you can find there almost everything from fruits and vegetables to spices and dairy products. The Bazaar sellers are helpful and know their goods well - just try to ask them to specific spice mix for a specific food ;)
Full of dry fruits n all local stuff best buy a little bit of bargaining will help you
Siab market one of the best markets. You can find everything from this market and cheaper then supermarkets.
Good place to buy all your tourist needs plus cash machine very handy.
Enjoyed a very great time walking around the bazaar. I came several time during my trip in Samarkand, apparently it was busier in certain time of the week (weekends). I always love markets and I love to see how the people interact. It was a big market, with different sections, so you can just explore there. At one point nearing the main road was the area where they sell fresh priduct and food. This was my favourite area. People were very friendly as well.
A very clean and cozy hotel. The employees and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. A very nice place to stay in.
Best bazar in samarkhand here you can find any grocery product from A to Z beautiful place❤️
Best place to buy some Uzbek helva , nuts and dried fruits. Do try the rolls of dried melon!
Nice bazaar with a mix of things for tourists and locals.
Wonderful place for tourists and locals alike. Your bargaining skills will be put to the test. Walking through the Bazaar is like being in in living museum.
Its good for locals, but if you are interested in local veg. And other small items then you can visit it.
this good bazar to buy dry fruits. you will find this type of Bazaar through out Uzbekistan
Not to much of a real market movemente, now a days seem much more for tourists!! but its still has q mix with some local buyers
Very good historic farmers market, which works from ancient times
A lot of diferent things to buy. Not only to buy, because you need to talking about discounts for all things you want to buy.
I just spent only 30mins there. My experience was good there. I don’t really know all the details about this market.
samrkand market is situated near Biwi Khanum mosque , a great place for buying vegetables , dry fruits , cholates and other Uzbekistan local stuff. here you will find many more things like good quality Zeera ( cumin, black resins , dry apricot , almonds , local sweets etc .
A great place to experience a local Uzbek market and see and try local produce. Sections that may be of interest include cheese and honey (enclosed), and fruit and nuts (likely cheaper than in your hometown if you are a tourist). Prices may also be lower than in the Tashkent bazaar. Vegetables and meat as well as some food stalls are in the lower level.
Nice market. Very picturesque.
Lovely markets with so much fresh produce. Friendly shopkeepers and its one of the cleanest markets i have been too.
Great selection of food products and clothes but a bit pricey than other bazaars of the city
relatively small bazar / market in the mifdle of old city,, looks overpriced for Uzbekistan though
You can find almost everything here spices, breads, Juices, fruits, meat, dry fruits , lady vendors in traditional uzbek dresses are delight to watch. Must visit while in Samarkand to experience Uzbek culture.
