Intricate carvings on the outside of the temple with motifs representing elephants and a number of other animals. Pleasant place to escape the sun with a number of vendors selling sandals and lacquer wears. Beautiful views of the larger Buddhist temple next door

Large temple in old Bagan. Worth a visit if in the area. Near several other sites so you can easily make a half day of it or so. You can walk and explore on all 4 sides of the temple on both the exterior and interior.

This temple is more impressive from the outside- I was disappointed with the poor conditions and limited access inside. It was built by King Alungsithu in 1141. The description mentions " green glazed tiles, plaques, mural paintings...but I didnt see much. A staircase to the upper part is mentioned but "No climbing" is allowed. Several souvenir and refreshment stall outside so its a popular spot!

Great place for viewing sunrise and sunsets!! Not as congested as other temples. Plus the temple has safe steps so there is no need to fuss over the safety part. ☺️

An enjoyable temple to visit and probably the best after you visit those popular temples around as this temple is surrounded by those popular ones. You can see Dhammayangyi and Shwesandaw at the southeast, Ananda at the east, and Thatbyinnyu at the south and sunset in the west if you arrive at the right time.

Amazing collection of temples built over hundreds of years. Best seen by renting electric bikes. There is a very expensive morning hot air balloon ride but seemed to only last less than 20 minutes
