Shwe San Daw Pagoda is situated in Twante, Yangon, Myanmar. It is a quiet and peaceful place for pilgrims and visitors. Although it is quite small in size, it looks like famous Shwedagon Pagoda. It has also a spacious compound and a big car parking. Im sureyou will like to go there. Dont miss it!
Amazing
Super peaceful. Make sure you walk down and see the snakes!
Large pagoda, was being regilded when we visited.
Peaceful to visit and pay homage to the pagodas and the Buddha images and also the pagoda platform is large and wide as well as quiet. There are villagers from nearby villages, who are simple with thick thanakha on their face, who are different from a modern lady puting on modern lipstick and make- up coming to this pagoda .

Must visit Pagoda when arrive Twante!!!
Far away and a bit difficult to find. But very interesting. Huge pitons all around the temple. A bit frightening, but the serpents are tame.
Shwesandaw Pagoda in Twante, aka Golden Hair Relic, is popular with locals and tourists alike as it is said to house some Buddhas hair relics. At the end of a row of Buddha images, on the right, there is a wish fulfilling magic rock. According to the tour guide, you hold the rock (about 60 cm in diameterand make a wish. The second time round, you ask for confirmation that if the wish is going to come true, you should be able to lift the rock. Initially when I made a wish, I was not able to lift the rock, not even a millimeter of it. But after I asked for confirmation on whether my wish would come true, I was surprised that the little me could lift the huge rock! It was magical. The 5-star rating echoes my feelings on this magical experience. BTW, there are similar pagodas of the same name in Pyay and Bagan. When we visited in the afternoon, it was quiet.
Historical place for Twen Tay
Historically famous pagoda, the landmark icon of the town.
Beautiful pagoda in the style of the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon. Hardly anyone here and well worth it. Combine this with the snake pagoda and the pottery artisans and its a nice trip from Yangon
nice quiet place , very less tourist
I can feel the peace and pleasant environment at Shwe San Daw Pagoda situated on the upper hill of Tontay Town (fast developing urban area of Yangon City). The Pagoda is surrounded by beautiful lake, big green trees and the famous Sati ( Beluma Hill). You can ride the horse cart wandering around the town and gazing the Tontay Canal which is made by British Colony. Fresh fruits and vegetables road side market along the bank of canal with speedy tidal flow carrying variety of boats scattered on his water chest.
The historic place. I arrived there in January of 2015, I found too much small and black insects on the pagoda.
The Shwesandaw Pagoda is one of the popular pilgrimage palace. It is said to contain a couple of the Buddhas hairs. Its name means Golden Hair Relic.
