Shuswap Pie Co - Dessert shop in Salmon Arm, Canada
Delicious pies fresh baked and frozen ones if you want to stock up. Always a family treat.
The absolute best café in town. All of the baking is top notch (the brownies are the best Ive ever had and everything is so so good). The staff are so nice and chatting with Bree is the best part of my morning :)
I enjoyed my hot chocolate and breakfast at the outdoor seating of this nice and friendly place during summer in Salmon Arm. Will definitely be going back here on my next visit.
I cannot get over how amazing this place is!!! Best pies I have had in my life hands down! I had the chicken pot pie and raspberry rhubarb pie, and they were both to die for. The homemade crust is mouthwatering.
I eliminated stars because:1Our steak and stout pies seemed to be lacking steak. I believe there were 2, maybe 3 pieces in each of ours.2For the price you pay for the meat pie, not worth it.3As youll see on the menu, you have the option to get your meat pie with coleslaw or soup (soup is more expensive)...we opted for coleslaw. We had our food to go and didnt think of checking it, once we were on the road and about 15 minutes out of town and ready to "dig in" we were missing coleslaw. My mom called to advise them of this error and she was told "normally you have to tell us you want it". Wellll... aTechnically we did when we ordered the meat pie WITH COLESLAW and not soup. bIf its an "option" why not charge separate and have meat pies cheaper? So just a tip, if you go here and get food to go, make sure everything is included ☺
The best chicken pot pie I have ever tasted. We will be back any time we travel through Salmon Arm.
Tasty pie. Had the Steak and Stout which was nice but had a more tomato flavour than expected. Also ordered a slice of strawberry rhubarb which was supposed to come with cream, but arrived with ice cream. When I asked for it to be fixed the staff member just scowled and walked away.Seating is also very odd. You cant get a seat until youve ordered your food, but at that point you already need a seat to be able to eat it! Luck of the draw if you can actually eat the pie youve ordered.... I guess by that point youve already given them youre money so not their problem anymore!
cool location, usually very busy so its not the most comfortable/calm environment, but food is good and the only place i get london fog lattes from
Well supported by locals (even the local police were getting coffee and pie).Only had hot chocolate which was tasty but not hot enough. Pies (savoury and fruitlooked great though.
Food is amazing, and their Americano was well made. To top it off the atmosphere is always great!
Eat the steak and brew pie and then follow it with strawberry rhubarb pie and an Americano. So so good!Love stopping here on our longer motorcycle rides. Too bad their business hours arent longer.Update: still delicious! If you like pie, you owe it to yourself to eat here and keep them in business!
Fabulous, fresh food!! This place is buzzing with patrons of all ages. Friendly, staff. Clean!!Bought a freshly made same day peach pie. It was AMAZING! light and flaky with large fresh peach pieces!!Sandwiches and coffee were equally delicious!Definitely a must!!
We have tried going here a few times but changed out minds because the long line of people out the door.Today we finally decided to wait our turn and it was so worth the wait!!The vibe by the place and employees is very welcoming. The food was absolutely perfect!I had 2 meat pies 😛
Great place. We were looking for a restaurant that served breakfast and couldnt find anything. Someone suggested the Pie company and I laughed but.my husband who is always up for pie said we should give it a try--glad we did. Savory pies and breakfast sandwiches with real cheese not some mystery cheese slice. Also unique pies like Saskatoon berries that you dont find in ordinary stores--a must try if you visit the Shuswap area.
Had to take one star away for the small size of facility. Always great food and service.
Had the saskatoon berry pie and it was excellent. Great presentation and amazing floral flavours. Not much choice at the end of the day on a Friday.
Chicken panini was ok and the pumpkin pie was not bad. The decor is really nice and worth the visit.
A new must-visit-will-visit-every-year-I-visit-here-for-the-rest-of-my-life. Flavor combinations are layered and complex. We tried the sausage apple sage savory, and the lemon buttermilk. One might say: if youd like to solve the complexities of life, come here and eat a pie.
Believe the hype… best pie shop! Not just pie makers, pie alchemists. Fromperfectly flaky crusts to carefully balanced flavours for both sweet and savoury fillings.I had the chicken leek pie for lunch. It was incredibly tasty, not too heavy, and with a light touch of lemon. I took home a blueberry peach pie and it was delicious, stuffed with berries & peaches & not too sweet. Just right. Also, in these times of rampant price increases, Shuswap Pie Company is still offering incredibly fair pricing for the quality & quantity. They are also have excellent customer service. Much appreciated! I’ll stop here every time.
Simply the best savory and sweet pies I have ever had, in any country. All the pies are prepared and baked on site. The ingredients are fresh, the pastry crumbles perfectly and the fillings are just delicious. We had the pecan and a peach. Just wow! The sandwich was great too. You can get full pies baked or frozen to take away, or by the slice. You can get a scop of ice-cream for just 75c! Brilliant servie from all the staff. I couldnt get enough, Im in love. Simple go eat here.
Fantastic pie company, we bought two frozen pies on a camping trip to a nearby lake. I’ve already got it on my schedule to go buy more next year when we come down that way again.
Just fantastic. I like my pecan pie, but theres is easily top notch. And they make a nice Americano. Along with the friendly, beautiful staff easily makes this a must go to place.
Where do I begin? Beyond their excellent customer service, the Shuswap Pie Co offers pies that are indescribably tasty (My spouse and I purchased a variety of sweet and savory pies that we greedily consumed throughout our road-trip: Wish we would have ordered more)! Fillings are lovely and generous, while the crust is the best we have ever tasted. When in the Shuswap, this place is a must!
If you like pie definitely visit. Good soup and drinks too. Fun atmosphere. Overall a must see.
My boys are pie Connoisseurs. We will stop at any pie shop that has an excellent pie reputation. Shuswap Pie Company is by far one of our family favourites. My husband and l drive make the out of town drive to Salmon Arm for our annual pie date. It’s the perfect comfort food that melts in your mouth! There is not a pie on that menu that isn’t done superbly. I personally love their veggie pie, it’s packed with so much flavour, warm spices and buttery flakey crust. However, my family love, love, loves their fruit pies. Peach, cherry, blueberry or if you can’t decide try the peach/blueberry combo. They are all good! They are always made with homemade from scratch fillings - nothing from a can here! You can just taste the fresh Okanagan Fruit.Bring your cooler, your going to want to pack it with frozen pies to take home. Because l can promise you as a home grown bakery this pies are likely better than what you or l could make. Minus the time, and mess!
Great food. The savoury pies are very filling (I can only eat half an individual - I find it very rich), but very good. The sweet pies are a hit and miss. I think it depends who makes them. The treats in the display case are very tasty. Staff always look busy yet very friendly when dealing with customers.
Although I havent eaten in the establishment (they always seem to be closed when Im in the area), I have had a couple pies from local markets around town. They are delicious. Love the crust, great fillings and flavours. Highly recommend! Cant wait to finally come in and try them in house.
Eat the crust! Don’t you dare scrape off the crust or may you be relegated to mediocre uncooked crust for the rest of your life! The pies are are delicious. I just thawed out a veggie pie l picked up frozen last year. The crust was light and flaky and the curried veggie filling was delightfully tasty. So good, l am contemplating a drive to Salmon Arm so l can enjoy the pie again. And l just heard they closed the highway for a month so there is a detour as well. This time l will try the Chicken and Leek or the Steak pie. Every Canadian needs to try this place. But everyone ( Canadian or notwill enjoy the foods from this great little gem.
Love our experience here at this gem of a place. Delicious Tomatoe Parmesan Soup & Tuna Melt for my Son. Homemade Ice Tea the perfect meals. Definitely will be back.
Fell in love with their Lemon Buttermilk Pie after having a slice a couple years ago. It has just the right sweetness and the pies texture is not flaky at all.Every time we visit SA, we always buy their Lemon Buttermilk Pie to go (if its not sold out).We decided to try their Sausage Apple Sage Pie and didnt disappoint! I usually associate pies with sweetness but this one hit the right spot and was comfort food.-no photos were taken of the pies, but their menu instead
Oh my goodness! Been hearing about their pies for a while now and I was finally able to try them . I live 40 minutes away and have been there twice in a week...I have tried four different pies and so far my favorite is the curried Vegetable!
Went there for lunch. Its a busy place all the time but we were lucky to get a table. We ordered a mocha, hot chocolate, Tuna melt, and grilled cheese. This was the first time I have ordered the tuna melt and it was so delicious. We order the grilled cheese before, my daughters favorite. The coleslaw is not too overwhelming as I have had really garlicky coleslaw before and dont like it. Here its perfect. The drinks were in so good, topped off with whipped cream. Perfect temperature.
Love love love this place! Everything is delicious but their breakfast sandwich on a scone is to die for! Must go here for sure!
Absolutely yummy food! Great coffee! Exceptional customer service! Highly recommend to any local and definitely a perfect stop for any travels too!
Definitely will come back. The Bacon Cheddar quiche is not greasy as it sounds. The Lemon Butternut with a scoop of ice cream is excellent. Not too tart, not too sweet. Also, if you can help them by returning your dirty dishes it helps everybody.
This place is always busy and if you like your sweet or savory pies you must be there early, otherwise you may be eating scraps. They have this mouthwatering blueberry pie, just heaven. Also we tried the sausage apple sage pie, delish, very flavorful.
Best steak pie I have ever had. Highly recommend stopping by
A friend suggested we visit the Shuswap Pie Company on our trip to Salmon Arm yesterday...so glad she did! We had a delightful lunch: smoked salmon bagel & chicken panini. We were too full to enjoy a slice of pie so took some home: a slice of lemon buttermilk and for the berry lover, a whole bumbleberry pie..both so fresh and delicious! They had good protocols in place, a charming ambience and the staff were all friendly & efficient. We will be back for sure!
I was elated after discovering, to my great surprise, that The Shuswap Pie Company sells frozen Gluten Free apple pies. What I am most impressed by, however, is how they went above and beyond to fulfil my special request for a Gluten Free blueberry-peach crumble - a crowd favourite amongst friends who spend their summers in a near-by town.Tovah was very accommodating with my request and even took the time to reach out to me via social media after trying me through email to make sure I would be able to pick up my order before closing.Purchased not only the special request but also a frozen apple pie to take back to the city with me.Thank you, Shuswap Pie Company, for the Delicious treats! I will definitely be back this summer!
This place has local hype for a reason! Cute decor and ambience, great customer service, quite good food. There was a line consistently, but service was fast and it seemed like lots of people just come to pick up pie and go. The raspberry rhubarb was SO good, it had the right amount of tart and sweet. The paninis had fresh ingredients and good bread that was pressed in a panini press, rather than a heartier bun. Others we were with raved about the vegetable quiche and the veggie curry pie. Would recommend!
You went to the Pie Company and didn’t have pie?? Well yea... but only because this is my third or fourth visit. And the pie is epic!! So it was time to try some other foods. The steak and stout pie is my all-time favourite and the crust is perfection on all of the fruit pies. My daughter swears by the veggie curry. And the chocolate cake fed a crowd at a birthday last summer. Today was lattes scones and an cinnamon bun, all a strong recommend. If you go anywhere near lunch time be prepared to stand in line, it’s worth the wait.
Awesome curry vegetable pie with light flaky crust. Perfection. Just the right amount of seasonings and heat. Chased it with hot apple cider....what a rush of liquid love!
Wonderful pie, great crust (and I don’t normally like crust much). They sell out so go early if you have a specific flavour in mind. Nice location for wandering the cute downtown area of Salmon Arm
Pie was absolutely delicious!Had a slice of the peach pie and the creamy chicken leek savory pie for breakfast with my fiance. Pie crust was flakey and tender without being overly crispy and flavours were amazing! Coffee was good enough to drink black too so it balanced everything out perfectly. We even made a friend....Nothing but rave review from us!
When in Shuswap, this is a must visit for breakfast, lunch, or whenever you need a pie break. Excellent food, excellent pie with flaky buttery crust! Yum! The scones need work though, I had the blueberry, and it was bland and too bread like in consistency. This place is really busy and it may be hard to get a table during the peak hours. Notwithstanding, it is a definite plus in my book!! #LiveRemarkably
Arrived in Shuswap Pie Co arround 11AM and it was packed! Thank God we still got plenty of pies to choose from as we heard if we had arrived a bit later we wouldn’t have many choices. We tried 2 savoury pies: chicken leek pie and steak & stout pie. For the sweet pie we tried blueberry and peach. The first was surprisingly good. The pie crust was flaky and buttery. It was indeed a pie heaven! The overall experience was very pleasing and definitely a recommended place to go if you’re visiting Salmon Arm.
Freshly baked pies. Good vegetarian options. Great place for a snack, a meal, and/or desert. Only fault I can find is that this place closes at 4:30pm before I get out of work. Plan for breakfast or brunch. You have not experienced life in the Shuswap without eating at the Shuswap Pie Company.
Trendy pie shop where the product is hand made. Quality was great. Service once ordered was delivered quickly to the table. Prices were reasonable and overall a cosy setting with lots of seating. Clean customer bathrooms also.
The pie was delicious :homey and the texture was just about right! Lovely place to stop by any time during the morning or day.
I stopped in town for lunch and came to this place because of the ratings it had received. To my surprise this place was pretty big and really busy. I really liked the ambiance and the chill vibes, although I wasnt too impressed with the food. The only reason I give this place 4 stars and not 3 is because the food was fairly priced for what it was. Service was good and all staff seemed very happy to be there.
