Shuga's in Colorado Springs

If more stars were available I would give this place all the stars!!! Every time we go here we get the bacon bruschetta and it is the most amazing mind boggling mouth melting piece of creation weve ever eaten! The drinks are great, quite strong too! 😁The ambience and the vibe are definitely worth the experience. both inside and outside...The bathrooms are cool too!..... And lastly the MAC & CHEESE flavorful as get all... But try.. because Im to recreate (thats how fire it is!!)

Absolutely perfect ..from the moment I walked in I walked in I was treated exceptionally well. Thank you Sam and Bradley.... Great food at a great price.... I drove out of my way to come back a second time :)...

Came here for a double date night. Was able to make a reservation the same day on a saturday about 3 hours prior. Reservations are online only. Overall the place met our expectations. The food was very good, great mix of flavors, decent portions, and was very well presented. The drink were also great, who ever is the mixologist they are very good. Will for sure comeback here again.

This was a great lunch! The El Gaucho w/ Spicy Brazilian Coconut Shrimp Soup & my gf had Rufus Stole The Chicken, Too? & Mac-n-cheese and for dessert Chocolate Double Dip, each item was very good. Wait staff was very attentive and we had a short wait until our food arrived after ordering.

Finally made it and loved it. Enjoyed the outside garden. We sat inside and it was a full house. Ordered a few things and drinks. But the most memorable was the almond butter cake… next would be the soup and then the pink shuga drink for me… overall it was a great brunch and enjoyed everything.

Finally snagged a table here (first attempt with the hubs and pup was unsuccessful with a 45+ min wait--even though we called ahead), and it did live up to the hype, particularly in the drinks department. For those who dont drink alcohol or just need to detox before you retox, the non-alcoholic drink list is killer! I had the lavender lemonade and a decaf cafe au lait, but all of them look delish. Several folks around me ordered the rich seafood coconut cream soup, which you can turn into ramen, and it looked yummy. I had a salad that was good. On this particular night, the server was awesome and let us substitute or omit salad ingredients (Im told thats not always the case here). A word of warning if youre sensitive to noise or crowds: ask to sit outside because theres no sound-proofing inside and it gets loud when everyone is shoulder to shoulder, chair-to-chair. Fun, funky mountain-cafe vibe with incredibly reasonably priced dishes and a sense of humor. Will definitely be back.

The Saskatoon sandwich is the best sandwich I have had in years. The little apple slices balanced the brie and ham perfectly. Our server was a young, blonde guy and he was excellent. He checked on our table regularly, he was polite, he was funny, great service. To top it all off the prices were good too! Definitely coming back for another Saskatoon sandwich.

What a find! A friend told us about this place for dinner and we are so incredibly glad that we went! The vibe, the food, the cocktails and our wonderful take home growlers were absolutely amazing.

Wow I cant say enough good things about this place. Top notch atmosphere, unique dishes, friendly wait staff, great prices. Seriously the best meal we had in a week in Colorado. The spicy shrimp soup was so amazing. One of the best soups Ive ever had the pleasure of eating.

The food was incredible! But the experience was enough to convince me that it wouldn’t be worth the trip back.We had a reservation for 3 at 9:15 and upon arrival, we waited for 15 minutes to even be GREETED by any of the staff to be seated. I had hoped that they were just really busy, and doing the best they could. After ordering drinks and dinner, we waited about 45 minutes for our food and drinks. I understand having a rough night in food service, but watching the staff hang out behind the bar and take shots made it very clear that their customers were not the priority.After receiving our food, (which was still incrediblewe were not checked on even once throughout the entirety of our meal. We waited another HOUR in hopes that someone would come with the check and so we could get boxes to take our food to-go; but yet again, the staff was preoccupied with each other.We ended up having to resort to leaving cash on the table to pay for our meal, and didn’t even have the patience anymore to ask for change back.Since we never received a check or any kind of service, we overpaid, and we honestly regret paying at all.We were extremely disappointed in our experience, and would hope that the focus of the restaurant would shift to their customers.

Today was the first time that I dined at this amazing restaurant! My son brought me here, we had the Cuban Mojo sandwich and the shrimp soup. The mint tea complimented the meal perfectly. Service was efficient and friendly! I will be back soon. Maybe tonight for dinner.

1st time eating here and it was amazing. The Cuban and Spicy Shrimp Soup combo was delicious. The food came out quickly during lunch service and the staff was very proficient and knowledgeable about the menu.The ice tea was fresh and abundant.We sat outside to enjoy the weather.

Pineapple trainwreck, Cuban mojo, spicy shrimp soup (add the Ramen). You wont regret it. This place was so good we went there twice in our 3 day trip!!I would suggest trying to make a reservation. We got there around 3:45 on a weekend (and it was raining so it didnt help the seating situationbut they were transitioning to dinner and had stopped serving. They were super nice and let us sit at the bar since we didnt have a reservation and we could still order drinks and then eat once they started up again at 4:30. Food came out quick, drinks were super yummy, bartenders were pretty chill and helpful.Will definitely return if we ever get the chance!

Amazing food, drinks and service. The atmosphere was fantastic and everything was top notch. I dont like gin much but the bartender recommended the orange laughter and it was super delicious. The sandwich with the shrimp soup was so so good. Everything felt made with love. I will definitely be back.

This is the truest 5 star review I’ve ever given. We visited from Omaha and loved Shuga’s. The ingredients were fresh, the drinks were good and our server Grayson was very sweet and recommended awesome local places! Would go back anytime.

Stopped here based on positive yelp reviews and it didn’t disappoint! The salad was delicious and the atmosphere was great. I’d definitely return and recommend!

This is definitely a gem! ✨ the ambiance is great, their eclectic decoration goes perfectly for a late dinner. The beverages were spectacular, I loved my salad. I wish they had more vegan options, I would’ve loved to try their coconut soup!

This hidden gem could be mistaken for just another house on the block, but inside is colorful, artsy, and simple but delicious food. There really is no food theme except food done well. I had the bruschetta (bacon, tomato, goat cheese and the Brie and applewith the spicy coconut shrimp soup and my biggest tip here is to dip the bread in the soup. Serious game changer. Everything was delicious, service was impeccable, and the entire place felt like a friends house who served 50 other people while also giving you brunch. My only complaint is that the toast for the bruschetta was a bit hard to bite into, but everything else 10/10. Would come back - scratch that - will come back.

What can I say about Shugas... its always a go-to when Im visiting the Springs. There is something for everyone on the menu. Im truly amazed at the food they produce out of that tiny kitchen and its always fabulous. What makes it such a great place is the staff - fun and interesting people. You have to try a coconut ginger fizz and café tray!

The best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The staff was super friendly. Fun little ambience. Me and my partner came here on a vacation and it was well worth it. Highly recommend to anyone stopping by Colorado Springs.

Visiting Colorado Springs on vacation and friends who live in the area suggested we try Shugas. It was great. We got there right before they reopened the kitchen as they transitioned from Sunday brunch to dinner service. We noticed they had a teepee outside which was outfitted with tables and chairs for dining, yes, it is a unique place and has a cool eclectic vibe. Our party of four enjoyed some cocktails before dinner in order to pass the time before kitchen was ready. I had the Cuban sandwich, which was delicious, the pork was braised perfectly and the ham, cheese, pickles all came together for a flavorful sandwich. I chose the ramen as my side of soup. My wife had the spicy shrimp coconut soup and it was also delicious. Dessert was fantastic, we tried their almond cake and their keylime pie, so good we ordered another one to take back home. Service was great, very prompt and attentive. Definitely recommend you give them a try.

Was an eccentric trip bar/ restaurant. Had a tepee in back that we ate in. It was super cute but a table next to us sat dirty almost the whole time we were there…. Food was good.

We were in town visiting family when we heard about Shugas! A wonderful lady on the airplane recommended it to me since I was visiting and more people I met on the street recommended it so we thought wed give it a go! The staff was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was bright and cozy. They definitely have their own unique vibe. The Shugas Cafe tray gives you a taste of all guests favorite she you wont be disappointed! The spicy shrimp soup was so good! I have never eaten anything like it. If you are looking for a unique atmosphere with delicious food and drinks go to Shugas! I cant wait to go back!

If you’re looking for good fun with a fun vibe hit up Shuga’s! I’ve been many times and keep coming back! The foods amazing! I love the Cuban sandwich! & the service is excellent! If you’re into creative cocktails then you’re in luck! Come hungry, you won’t be disappointed! Cheers!

Unique atmosphere, not friendly bartender. We stopped in here late for an after dinner drink because of the venue. Although there were plenty of seats open, we were literally told NOT to sit at the bar even though it was more than half empty. My friends walked to the back and discussed if we should just leave. Ive worked in the service industry and just wanted to make sure they knew we were just getting drinks, so I went back in to clarify. The bartender seemed in quite a mood and had told the waitstaff she needed a break from my understanding. The host was apologetic and again we considered walking across the street, but at that time he steered us to a table. I again said were were just getting drinks and hated to take a full table, but he said the bar was not an option. Then we waited almost 30 minutes for our 4 drinks. Our server was friendly and attentive but Im not sure it was worth us staying. The vibe felt off, but Im not writing it off yet.

Amazing food! AMAZING DRINKS! Amazing atmosphere! Amazing staff! I love how accepting this place is to everyone who walks in. Also, the back area is perfect for a Sunday brunch. Overall 10/10. Please visit, you will not regret it!

Menu looked great. Place looked adorable. A little boho with a bit of elegance. Service made us leave and take our drinks to go. We decided to eat elsewhere based solely on the lack of service. I was excited to try this place for so long. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I was hoping it was going to be our new spot. Im really sad its not. I did love their lavender lemonade though.

Ok, so 8,000 people on Facebook were raving to check it out, so I just HAD to right? Let me tell you, the hype is real! I ordered the Cuban, it was delicious. The atmosphere is chill, you have indoor and outdoor eating options, you can make reservations and the wait staff is plenty friendly. The Almond Butter Cake is a MUST-TRY! 5 stars, this place is great.

I was pleasantly surprised. Its a small place inside but the food is really good. I had the Quebec Sandwich and the Almond Butter Cake. I was very pleased with both of them.I would definitely comeback.

Sugas is amazing! The atmosphe and decor is fun and very comfortable. The food was wonderful. I had the Spicy Brazilian Coconut Shrimp soup and its my new favorite food. I also recommend any of the Brucettas. The best part was the wonderful staff who are very knowledgeable and so kind.

One of the coolest places in the Springs. We sampled the pozole, jalapeno mac & cheese, spicy shrimp soup, gaucho and Rufus sandwiches, and almond butter cake. I would have no issues with reordering any of those items again. The steak in the gaucho sandwich could have been sliced differently to make it easier to chew, but that wouldnt stop me from getting it again. We both enjoyed our cocktails also. Service was very friendly and extremely attentive.

Had the smoke beat sandwich. No smoke tasted but it was still good. Posole is really good, just wanted more hominy but thats personal preference. Mac and cheese was super cheesy and had a great kick. Overall, great good and amazing vibes. Must check out.

It was chilly snow day, so the beautiful curtain hanging over the interior entrance of Shuga’s was much appreciated. It was a brilliant idea, to keep all the guests inside warm and cozy. That was definitely the theme for the day, as friend and I both ordered Thai Coconut Soup, hers with chicken, mine with shrimp. I also had a chai tea latte, as it was just darn cold and I wanted to be all snuggled in. The heat was delightfully turned up in the restaurant, which was welcome on the single-digit temperature day.

Best brunch! We ordered three different meals and I only got a picture of one, because everything was inhaled so quickly. My 9yo gave the French toast 10/10 and the posole -same. We ate outside and staff was still attentive. Get the almond butter cake -Oh My Buddha it’s so good!

The food was really good! And the inside was also really really cute and made the experience even better. I just wish the sandwich was a bit bigger; it didn’t really fill me up. Mine was the Cuban sandwich and the other one was the spicy coconut something soup (which seemed very nicely portioned). If I lived in town I would def go again!

Delicious food and lovely vibe! We ordered the Brazilian coconut shrimp soup, El Gauchou sandwich, Senor Pozole soup and Almond cake. Everything was beautifully done and at a very reasonable price. I am so happy to find this spot (moved here recently and rather disappointed with the chain restaurant scene). Will definitely come here regularly!

Shugas you definitely surprised me with this one. The flavors and variety you offered was pleasant. Your house special soup was creamy and delicious then your sandwiches just hit the spot an amazing combo. Your drinks were very refreshing. The vibe was also great and your staff were accommodating and friendly. The desert was very delicious plus a house recommendation. This place hit the spot and would love to visit again for brunch. For the review I will give it a 8.4 out of 10. I wish they offered more of a variety food wise. What they did offer was very delicious. This place is so cute and has delicious food and drinks. My girlfriends and I had dinner here and we were not disappointed. I couldnt decide between their spicy Brazilian coconut shrimp soup and adding ramen or their el gaucho sandwich with a side of their soup. I asked our server what she recommended and she suggested the latter. I didnt really like that the sandwich had an asterisk meaning I could have the steak underdone. This was NOT the case, but our server warned me that the steak was going to be cooked well done since "the kitchen is small," but that it wasnt tough or chewy.If you like your steak medium or under, you may not like the texture of the steak, but the flavor was delicious. I think if I were to go again, I would opt for the bowl of soup and add ramen.The three of us started with a carafe of the Pineapple Trainwreck and followed with a carafe of mojito.I would definitely go back to this place!

We absolutely loved our experience at Shugas. The food was delicious, the drinks were fun and inventive, and the environment was very cozy and unique. They have indoor seating, patio seating, and seating in the tipi. The service was good and quick as well. We ordered the spicy Brazilan shrimp soup and added with a twist, a snack board, a coconut ginger fizz, and a strawberry lemon fizz. We will definitely come back to try more things.

Crazy waits here, so get a reservation. The food is mixed. My Cubano was great, but didnt care for the soup at all. Likely personal preference on that. Its an eclectic mix of a place. If youre covid sensitive, the outdoor seating is tight.

Both times I have eaten here it has been wonderful.They are now doing reservations again , so keep that in mind.The staff is friendly and fun to converse with.The ambiance inside is fantastic and outside is very comfortable.The food is delicious and the drinks are fantastic!I recommend Penn Station if your a rye whiskey fan and take the adventurous leap and try the Sassquash if you are a vodka fan. Both are absolutely wonderful and you won’t regret it.Dessert, go for the Key lime pie.A snack board is wonderful for sharing and enjoying with a friend while enjoying a cocktail.Love this place.

Ever since I moved to the springs 3 years ago, Shugas has been recommended to me over and over. FINALLY made it in today for lunch with a friend (who had also never been-- boy did we feel foolish for waiting so long!!!!!!!We were told it would be about a half hour wait for a table but got seated within ten minutes, and even though they were swamped the service was beyond friendly, and quick!!! The food was INCREDIBLE (pictures included). We LOVED it. We WILL be back!!!! And bringing more friends!!!
