The place is a hub of various Hindu ceremonies and rituals which take place everyday on the steps of the ghat. This is also where the Kumbh Mela is held every 12 years. The clean and peaceful place is dotted with several temples and exudes a very positive vibe. One of the most spiritual spots in the country.

One of the place where Khumb mela is hosted every 12th year. Place is well built but not maintained properly.Ghats were slippery due to accumulation of Algae( काई ). This should also be cleaned like Ghats in Haridwar.

Clean ghat, boating available, can be visited till late evening. Near to Mahakal temple, street food available. Ladies changing area is there.

I could have given it 5star. Because this is the best place in ujjain. You can feel the sprituality of ujjain on the bank of kshipra. A mosque is also located here which is the beauty of india. Temple and mosque together. Ancient maratha architecture of its bank and red marbles are putting incredible beauty on Ramghat. But people are making it dirty day by day on the name of worship. The river water is extremely polluted. We all should understand this issue, and we must keep our rivers clean as we consider them mother.

Nice place near the main temple, not too crowded or dirty, you can visit here if you want to have some good time, you can feed to fishes or do a deep dan( but it will ruin wateror just sit and stare the beauty of the ghat.

Shri Ram Ghat is a historically, religiously and culturally important ghat on mokshadaayni river Kshipra. It is one of the most visited places in the holy city of Ujjain and the most visited ghat on the river. It is the centre of attraction during the simhastha mela and is the oldest and most crowded amongst all the holy bathing ghats. The mesmerizing Kshipra aarti is held on it and it is one of the sacred places in Ujjain where many of the important puja - archana are done. It hosts some of the oldest pujari - pande and VVIPs all year round. The leaf lanterns can also be flown on the waters in the evening which gives everyone a joyous feeling. One can also feed fishes and tortoises which are an often site on the ghat. It also is important for a number of poornima snan festivals. Just opposite to it, are numerous akharas famous for their history and sant - mahaatma. Also nearby is the the famous and important gurudwara Shri ghat sahib. Experience is good here but people are not awareness for bathing rule.Mostly people use shop and shampoo for bath in sipra river. Guys Please dont use shoup shampoo in any river or lake bathing.

Nice and Beautiful place to visit. On River banks you can pass good time. Can have light snacks too. Near to this Cow Shed ( Gau Shala). One can offer Green Fodder to Cows. If you so bargain you can get more Fodder. Shops are also there for buying religious material. To the other side Gurudwara and Another Temple is there. Very nice view. Some beggers are also there. They request money for food etc. Water is clear. But not so much clean. But is not bad too.

Ramghat is approx. 10 minutes from Mahakal Temple. I personally visited this place in the evening. Loved the atmosphere in evening. Its so breezy. Also very neat and clean ghat. (Not Water of Ghat).It is established fact that one removes all sins by taking a dip in the holy water.Hats off to the CM and local administration for making such wonderful arrangements.Once again Jay shree RAM and Jay Mahakal....

Ujjain is kind of crowdy city.. here in Ram ghat you can find peace at the bank of Shipra river.. the lighting is also wonderful.. and here is a small bridge to cross the river, one can sit there and feed the fishes.. It is designed good. Clean but water was not so clean to wash body or face. In the night its look good but there must be more lighting so that visiter can see easily. Not enough protection for children or people. You must be careful about that.

Its located near harsidhi temple. Shipra river flows there. Its a holly place for teerath. You can take holly bath here. Its surrounded with so many small temples. In the evening its look too beautiful.

Before simhasth, this was a disguised place to visit. But after the developments during simhasth, it has been a majestic place. The night lights, cool breeze and family environment makes it a beautiful place to visit. But i must say, it still needs some improvements. Theres still dirt. Water needs to be cleaned regularly. Street animals add much to the annoyance. But i would still recommend it. Visits in the morning and after 7 pm are joyful. In the evening, you can even attend the "KSHIPRA AARTI" at dawn.

Place is nyc but river shipra need more care and cleaning. All over ghat there are small temples of many god and goddes. There are also stairs to go in river and take bath.

This is the most important ghat for holy baths at Shipra river in the occasions of major religious tithis in Hindu calendar. And at the time of Kumbhamela Shahisnan this ghat takes the centre-stage of the entire ceremony.Taking a holy bath at Kumbha Shahisnan here is akin to getting a boarding pass for heaven (if spiritual text to be believe).
