Dravidian-style Hindu temple to the god of snakes & site of an annual snake festival.
Felt blessed. Temple is very well maintained, everyone inside temple are very polite. They provide prasada for all without seeing if they are rich or poor. Treated equally.
Always love to visit this place, very peaceful, very spiritual. The environment will be very beautiful. But people charge more than the actual cost and little corrupted out side the temple,be cautious about that. Except that will really feel blessed and connected to that place. This place will fully crowded on any festive days , Mondays , Tuesdays.
Ancient temple situated about 40 odd KM from Bangalore. Very peaceful n set in amazing landscape. Please don’t forget to visit Shani temple close by and also the newly constructed Viswarupa Balaji temple too. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Beautiful temple in the midst of beautiful nature.Weekends are crowded. Parking space is available. Some shopkeepers (who sell Rice-flakes -kadale-puriare money minded, rude. Do enquire at 3-4 shops for whatever you want to buy.
Wonderful ancient temple. Best time is going there early morning in case it is weekend. Ample parking space. Vehicle pass charges are there. Lot of monkeys around. Be careful with your belongings. They try to snatch. On the way you can shop some vegetables which are produced nearby as vendors claim, but I am not sure. Roads are very good. I can see foreigners cycle upto Ghati. If you carry own food you can park under tree and enjoy else there is a small hotel nearby temple at the parking space of temple Gopuram side. Idli, chutney, vada, pullav, tea coffe too. Tasty food. If you are go by Two wheeler, park infront of shop and ask shopkeeper to have a look. Some local children come there for money and try to explore your bike or scooter. Overall you can spend a good half day on your weekend.☺️
Roads are good to travel... car parking lot is available..I visited on Sunday little rush and general queue was full at 08.30 am. After long queue... waiting... Darshan was good for short time.... Nice and peaceful place...lord subrahmanya
Very nice temple located near Doddaballapur, lord Subramanya and lord Narasimha is in one Murthi, lord Subramanya is in front and lord Narasimhama in in the back of the same murthi, we have to see lord Narasimha through the mirror which is kept behind the Idol. the temple is opened from morning till night, afternoon times is the best time to visit as there will be no much crowd during that time…
Divine place, Lord Subramanya and Lord Narasimha can been seen in garbha gudi, Prasada is distributed everyday. Near main temple there are many nagappa God idols, also you can offer milk etc there. In main temple, there is normal queue and special ticket queue at 50rs , choose according to your requirement. Please maintain hygeine and discipline inside and around temple premises 👍
Over 600 years old, this is a historical temple and sees a lot of devotees visiting the temple during weekends. The weekdays seem to be quite normal, however the annadasoha (meals provided by templeis yet to start post covid lockdown. There is quite a bit of parking space available opposite to the temple. There is a queue system to enter the temple, with provisions made to walk in a queue. The only downside being a lot of monkeys create a nuisance here. They snatch the bags from people and throw the items all over. Wish there was something the temple authorities could do to curb this menace.Do visit the temple, it’s only about approx 65 kms from Bangalore (depending on which end of BLR you are staying at).
As with all other temple food in South India ghati Subramaniam bhojanshala also provides simple yet healthy wholesome tasty food. The lunch consists of rice ,yummy sambar with a lot of veggies, sweet Pongal and masala buttermilk.Similarly morning 8:30 to 12:30 they serve breakfast lunch timings at 12:30 to 3 oclock. It is free of charge but voluntary donations are accepted. Not to be missed.
This is the only place in the world I have seen that the deity Lord Karthikeya, is found together with Lord Narasimha. Both Shiva and Vishnu together. The place is very famous for homam for early marriage, having kids and for getting rid of skin diseases. The homam was such a divine experience and felt blessed.
One of the ancient temple of belief. Must visit. Many doshas can also be resolved in this temple. It is also believed that lord Narasimha is securing lord subrahmanya from Garuda.Your also allowed to do Seva and can pour milk on " Nagarakallu "Annadanam will also be arranged for devotees on daily basis.Kindly keep the temple premises clean, and pls avoid usage of plastic.
I had a wonderful experience visiting this temple, parking space is available for all vehicles and the entry charge varies for different vehicles.
The Ghati Subramanya temple is one of the most major spots for snake worship in Southern India. .It is 60 km from the city and is a popular pilgrimage centre. The uniqueness of this temple is that the prime deity Lord Karthikeya, is found together with Lord Narasimha. The background of this temple is scenic dotted with multiple hills surrounding the temple area. The road to the temple is windy at places.
Good place near Doddaballapur. You can visit all days but weekend & holidays are crowded. Nearest to Bengaluru Metro city therefore lot of visitors will be there. Divine & Spiritual place. You can see two idols in temple. One is Sri Subramanya Swamy in sarpa rupa & another Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy on the backside which you will see in mirror placed on back of idol. Om Namah..
Famous subrahmanya temple near to Bangalore .its located after doddaballapura.Nice temple peaceful and calm beautiful to see mahamangalarathi of lord Subrahmanya.
Early morning ride.. Crowdy but peaceful temple.. Enjoyed throughout the ride.. Road is very good.
An ancient and powerful temple of Subrahmanya Swamy. It is located in a small village which has a great environment once the crowd leaves towards the end of the day. Spending a night near the temple is worth it.
Ghati Subramanya is about 60km from Bangalore. The most popular route is via Doddaballapura. Its hindu temple, Lord Subramanya Swami And Lord Narasimha swami are main deities of this temple.Lord Subramanya Swami is also know as Muruga, Karthikeya."Sarpa Dosha Nivarana Poojas are performed in this temple."And " People believe that worshipping Subrahmanya here bestows a child for the childless couples."*Free lunch is provided daily for the devotees by the temple authorities.😁****From Banglore Station Its about 50km and from Doddaballapur its 12km .public transportation like buses are available till Doddaballapur after that to gathi subramanyam buses are frequent.
Very good place to worship lord subramanya and Narashimha... Both idols are on same swayambhu rock. Ghati have good roads and scenic places.
Such a divine experience. My parents always believed this god and they hve a practice of visiting this place frequently. You can have a private homa done.Prasadha is the best part 😌. After visiting temple you can also move around and check out beautiful views around and also a dam.The road is the another best thing, from the journey to destination you will experience the best moments. It is also a powerful god.Do visit.
It is good temple go at mid afternoon like 2:30 cause rush will be less for darshan and there is car parking at hill who are going via Doddaballapura to bng a best place to visit
Nearest place for banglore 48 km from nelamanga, nice environment so greeny, cleanest temple, any way nice and beautiful location..❤️
The best way to reach is catching a bus from the Doddaballapur Bus Stand. Early morning before 8:30 AM is less crowded. Post that you can expect long queues.Dosha Nivaaran seems to be a popular ritual here. Sarpa dosha, pitru Dosha etc :-The route to the Hill is itself very scenic and can be enjoyed. A long drive can turn into a picnic as well. The temple requires no tickets, is plastic-free but not accessible enough for differently abled people.
Its a good temple to see around bangalore. The abhishekam will start around 8:30am i guess. Try reaching before that else need to wait for 1hr for darshan again. It has 2 Gods one on front and other on back side of main idol. Thats why they installed mirror to see narasimha swamy. The main subramanya swamy you can see directly and to see narasimha swamy, you can see through the mirror. The journey is awesome from bangalore. From highway you have 2 routes and both are awsome. One is normal and another one is that road.
Divine Place.Take a drive in the car, trust me you will enjoy the nature.Be careful there are too many monkeys around the temple, advising not to carry any kind of eatables, pooja items without covering them.Makali Durga, Nandi Hills are surrounding places which can be visited if time permits.
Had been to this place after 7 long years. Today visited with family to seek blessings of Lord Subrahmanya Swami and received Bisi bele bath as prasada.Ease to connect nce roads.2&4 wheelers parking available with 20 INR parking charges to be paid.Have lots of space available in front of Temple for parking.Vry happy and blessed to visit this place.Darshana punar praptirasthu ✌️🙏.
Amazing temple, swayambhu subramanyan swamy and narasimha swamy. Temple is open throughout daytime. After darshan there is huge area back side and down there are steps to reach where naga pratishtas are kept. You can offer milk n do pooja.
If you want to chill out and visit a temple off city, then this is the right one. This an extremely old temple, where 2 lords(Murugan & Narashimanin a single statueOne of the few temples in India with historical importance, about 70 kms from Bangalore City. Gated Open Parking complex right next to the Temple in the adjacent lane is such a welcome move. The background of this temple is scenic dotted with multiple hills surrounding the temple area. The road to the temple is windy at places. It is a Hindu temple, situated on the outskirts of Bangalore near Doddabalapura. It is 70 km from the city and is a popular pilgrimage centre. The uniqueness of this temple is that the prime deity Lord Karthikeya, is found together with Lord Narasimha. According to mythology both idols are believed to have emerged from the earth. It is also an important centre in South India for worship of the Hindu deity Kethu. Special rituals are performed during Brahmarathotsava, i.e., on the day of Pushya shudda Shashti. Narasimha Jayanti is the other major festival celebrated here.Ghati Subramanya has a recorded history of more than 600 years. It was first developed by the Ghorpade rulers of Sandur who ruled parts of Bellary. The idol of Kartikeya with a seven headed cobra is made from a single stone. On the rear of the stone is the carving of Narasimha. It faces eastwards while the idol of Lord Narasimha faces westwards. To ensure that both deities are visible to devotees at the same time, a huge mirror was placed in the rear in the sanctum sanctorum. Ghati Subramanya is about 60km from Bangalore. The most popular route is via Doddaballapura. If opting for a public transport, direct routes to Ghati from Bangalore are pretty less in number and one may have to change over at Doddaballapura.
Uniquely sculptured ideal of God front with Subramanyeshwara Swamy and behind there Narasimha Swamy ......At a time u can see both the gods ...... There is a believe the God will grant ur wishes.... Greatplace for weekend devotional trip...#Morning Sunrise#Nature#Hilltop Resorts...Food was great.Ghat section drive will give you a very good time
The maintenance of the temple is good and the staff gets very crowded on Sundays and Tuesdays. It took my almost 2 hours for me on the queue with the ₹50 ticket on Sundays. There are 2 lines, free and ₹50 ticket.
The management is so poor. They are clueless in managing the crowd. They do not let people to stand even a second to have Lords Darshana. They push people to exit. Horrible management. They have no clue that people would have spent 4 to 5 hours in travelling just to visit the temple. Worse temple management!
Too much crowd while my visit. Even though after seeing the God inside temple, the crowd tense were gone. After my visit, regarding mirror inside temple need heard. So, don’t miss it friends. Overall, it’s bliss and good vibe trip.
Visited with friends (30/jan/2022). I would recommend everyone and would say a must visit place,It is good place to visit with family for one day picnic,Everything is so well maintained,The parking lot is huge its pay n park , photography not allowed inside the temple , they provide prasada , and also lunch in afternoon, Idol of the god with story telling information. Nature is just fantastic in the morning , from temple backside you can see makali durga hill,I enjoyed here a lot ☺
Amazing temple. Can feel divine vibrations in the temple. Nice location.well managed.Govt can improve infrastructure, but fail to do so, very unfortunate for the old temples here
Sree Ghati subramanya temple is very divine and nature around temple climate is pleasantly refresh of mind with peace. The uniqueness of this temple is that the prime deity Lord Karthikeya, is found together with Lord Narasimha. According to mythology, both idols are believed to have emerged from the earth.its historic place of subramanya with 600 years old an emperors of Ghorpade rulers of Sandur who ruled parts of Bellary.

One of the Sacred Pilgrimage Place with Pleasant atmosphere. This Is the nearest Subramanya Swamy Temple in Bengaluru Gowribidanur Highway. It is very Convenient for Poojas related to Nagara Dosha, Mangala Dosha for Those Who Cant Go All the way To Kukke Subramanya. The Temple is Kept Clean and Everyday Prasada is Served For Devotees. This Prasada Is Heavy as They Serve Too Much and Those who Eat Less ask For Less Food while Serving,If not You will end Up Eating More than Required as You shouldnt be Throwing Prasada!Best Day to Visit Ghati Subramanya is on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. But Beware of Monkeys 🐒 and Goats who attack on People who Hold Food Items.
Been visiting this temple yearly for 5 years. A very holy temple with a very powerful deity. All your prayers are sure to be answered. Crowd management is well maintained and temple maintenance is very well done.
A Good temple having two gods in same statue. One god is Lord subramania swamy (Murugan )Another one is On back side Lakshmi narasimhar. One god Facing East side and other west side. This temple is mainly for Rahu dosha solving.Backside full of Nagà swamy temple and statues.Parking is available and following Covid guidelines.
Weekend Trip to Ghati Subramanya from Bangalore North. Good roads leading to the temple and lots of greenery meant a pleasant drive. Temple is beautiful. There is a parking area but is not organized, it is for self to find a a parking spot. Lot of shops outside the temple selling pooja articles, spices, nuts, toys and much more. There is both a free entrance and a special entrance with a charge of INR 50. Can get crowded on weekends. Vibe is blissful. Its a swayambu idol of Lord Karthikeya and Lord Narasimha and make sure to look at the mirror behind the idol. Prasada was provided after the darshan and also available to purchase at a counter within the temple premises. It took an hour to go in and out in the morning.
A peaceful and ancient temple near Makali Durga non Bangalore - Hindupur Highway. People come here to perform Naga pratiste / Ashlesha Bali and Sarpa Samskara poojas to eradicate themselves of Naga Dosha.
The drive is a great one, with astounding streets and marvelous view en route. Be cautioned anyway that there are no top of the line refueling breaks en route for food and bathrooms. There are several udupi style eateries with none too clean latrines. The actual sanctuary is perfect and all around kept up with, and is very unique, being the just one of its sort in the country, with a swayambu symbol of subranamya and narasimha at the back, noticeable through a deliberately positioned reflect. There are likewise tickets you can purchase for uncommon darshan if the overall line is extremely long. Assortment rice is filled in as prasad from 12.30pm onwards. There is a little diner inverse the sanctuary, yet it would be prudent to bring your own food and water.
Its 2nd largest subrahmanya temple one of best place for the devotees we can get easily blessings of God and outside the temple sellers like flowers etc they force to take with high cost
It’s wonderful temple with very limited crowd. You can reach this place from Bangalore in 45 minutes and please don’t trust the vendors for car parking, since for their sales they will misguide for car parking. There is ample parking near the temple. For quick Darshana they will charge ₹50/ person it’s worth to save your time. In temple they serve Prasad which is too much quantity of rice. One Prasad is sufficient for 4 people as we should not waste.
Lord subramanya swamy and lord narasimha swamy are self manifested in a single idol here.A mirror is placed quite above subramanya swamy through which we can see narasimha swamy idol. This temple has a pleasent atmosphere around and beautiful scenery around .
Its a very awesome place to visit, weekend there will be a huge crowd. The main temple entrance is small, you have to bend down your head to enter. The Subramanya Swamy idol is small, which is covered by decoration, habe to focus to see the godThere are wide variety of pooja and sevas are available, free prasadan and annadanam also available. There is huge parking space is available.Out side you will get coconut and flowers, all the way you will carry inside the temple but they will take everything before entering temple. Some what feel there is a commercial element, of course now a days every temple is becoming commercial.
Main Temple was closed since it was a weekend. However flower and coconut sellers were trying to sell them to gullible people. Lot of Cheats around trying to sell rotten guava and custard apple. Had a great time buying vegetables on our way back in the countryside.
No review required for this temple. Full of positive vibes when you enter the temple premises. Just keeping going especially on Tuesday to get full energy. Go back to your home directly after visiting the temple to have that positive energy carried along with you.
